"I Am Not Having it Christmas Themed!"

Hi. Everything until the end of season 3 is the same in this timeline. Season 4 divergent. At this point they are 18. Post reveal.

Marinette was sketching. Again.

She couldn't help it. When she had the urge to sketch her fingers would itch worse than a bee sting and she would fidget until she could get a pen or pencil hitting a piece of paper, letting her imagination flow.

The problem with that today, however, was that she wasn't Marinette when she got the urge. She was Ladybug. And she was supposed to be on patrol.

Not getting inspiration from a bush full of light pink roses.

And because she couldn't stop fidgeting, Adrien had sent her home, before she combusted. He would finish patrol and come check on her after.

So now she was sketching and sketching and colouring. And she did so until Adrien came in, quickly hiding her drawings despite his curiosity.

It died down once she climbed up the ladder to her bed, where he was sat (detransformed) and clung onto him, effectively distracting him from her drawings which were not yet complete.

And she, herself, got distracted by his warmth.

They both drifted off to sleep.

A few weeks later

Marinette had been walking away from her locker to get to her next class.

What she didn't realise was a person lurking in the locker room waiting to strike.

As soon as it was clear that no one was there, the person went to Marinette's locker, opening it with ease.

She went through some of the girl's things and sneered at the multiple pictures of Marinette and the others in their class. And when she saw the pictures of Marinette with multiple different well known people, she growled in anger. Especially of the one where Adrien and Marinette were dancing at a previous school dance. A picture Alya had taken which showed the two looking at each other rather intimately.

That should be me!

She turned her attention away from the pictures and, again, rummaged through the locker until she came across a sketchbook.

She smirked.

Because everyone had been wondering what was in the sketchbook that meant Marinette didn't want to show designs like she usually did.

She flicked the pages and scoffed at the designs. In her opinion, they were ugly and would never sell. (Yeah well obviously your opinion is invalid.) She kept on flicking it until she reached a page that had words written on one side and a huge dress on the other.

The words read: Adrien & Marinette.

The girl rolled her eyes. Typical.

She went through the next few pages and realised there was an ongoing theme. And not only were there designs for both Adrien and Marinette, but there were decorations and accessories written ideas for a venue as well as other things.

Like Marinette had been planning... a wedding.

The girl holding the sketchbook almost shrieked in joy.

She had hit the jackpot.

.........

Lila wasn't as popular as she was when she first came to the school.

It took a while, but the class had figured out on their own that she was lying about pretty much everything.

And Marinette didn't lose anything like Lila had promised she would.

But Lila was strong and she wouldn't stop until she ruined the girl.

And she had just the thing to do exactly that.

Instead of going to their class like she should have- there was no point really since it had already started- she went to the roof and ripped out the pages in the sketchbook she had found (read: stolen).

She waited until lunch before putting the rest of her plan into action and couldn't hide her glee when she heard Marinette complain about not being able to find her sketchbook anywhere.

The next lesson was a free period in their usual classroom with Miss Bustier.

.......

Marinette was walking to her next class with Alya, Adrien and Nino after double checking in her locker for her sketchbook. The boys were walking slightly in front of them, currently in a debate on which doctor in the British show Doctor who had the best episides- with Alya chiming in with her opinion every now and then (Adrien said it was Ten whilst Nino said it was Eleven. Alya said that whilst Eleven had the best mid episodes- she particularly liked the Van Gogh episode and Let's Kill Hitler, nothing could top the finale episodes for Ten's seasons.) Marinette would have joined in if she weren't so worried about what had happened to her sketchbook.

(Alya is just me projecting. Because I can't choose between Ten and Eleven on who is my favourite but Ten's episode finales for all seasons minus the special episodes were all so good. Also Alya is definitely a doctor who fan. And Vincent and the Doctor is actually my favourite episode in Doctor who.)

She knew Adrien kept on glancing back at her when he thought the other two weren't looking and she also knew that Nino and Alya kept on giving her knowing looks. She ignored the two and gave Adrien a few small smiles to ease his worry about her. That didn't stop him from continuously checking on her as they walked to class.

His glances did help a bit and he had made a promise during lunch that if she couldn't find her sketchbook, he would buy her a new one. (What she didn't know was that he had already bought a new one for her and if he had to, he'd just give it earlier than he had planned.)

Because she was so caught up in her own thoughts, she didn't even notice the commotion in the class until she was right in the middle of it.

The four of them had walked into the class crowded at the front of the room and Marinette would have fallen on the floor if Adrien hadn't caught her by the arm and steadied her.

"Thanks," she smiled up at him and for a moment it was just the two of them.

"No problem Princess," he gave her his signature grin as they stared into each other's eyes for what seemed like eternity.

Whilst Alya would have loved to continue watching the show, she was first and foremost a reporter, and she wanted to know what had caused the commotion, "What's going on?"

A bunch of heads whipped into their direction and Marinette, who struggled to take her eyes off of Adrien (who still had a steady grip on her arm), could see the varying faces of shock and pity written on her classmates faces. All directed towards her.

What?

She shared a look with Adrien and could tell that he realised too.

"Oh Adrien! I'm not sure you should see this," A shrill voice she hated more than anything started.

Well that explains it.

Adrien let out and exasperated sigh and even Alya looked like she didn't even want to know what was happening anymore. If it was to do with Lila, they really could care less.

"See what?" Still, Adrien stepped forward. Of course. He's ever so curious.

He let go of Marinette's arm but she followed  him, just hoping to get this over and done with already. She had better things to think about. Her head ducked down uncaringly as she moved behind Adrien, Alya and Nino right by her. The class parted for them like the river Nile.

"Oh," Adrien whispered. But she heard him anyways.

Alya gasped in shock and began to shake her shoulder urgently.

Nino let out a small "Dude," as he too seemed shocked at whatever was so suddenly interesting.

So Marinette looked up.

And when she did her eyes widened in horror and she screamed, "No!"

In front of her, in front of them all, were pages ripped out of her sketchbook and plastered on the interactive board with tape. At that moment she cursed Adrien's sudden shot in height and her own blasted shortness for not being able to see it sooner.

Lila came to them as she continued to gape at the display on front of her.

"I'm sorry Adrien but I think you should know. Marinette is obsessed with you and this is proof. You shouldn't hang around her. It's unhealthy for you."

"Are you serious?" Alya shrieked, "The only one unhealthy for Adrien here is you!"

But Marinette didn't even see the look of fury in Lila's face when Alya defended her. For she was frozen in her place still as she waited with bated breath for Adrien to say something. He too seemed stunned, as he hadn't even said anything.

"Adrien," her feet finally moved so she was now by his side and she tugged on his sleeve, "What are you thinking?"

He looked down at her (Seriously, when did he get so tall?) and pouted. The class just watched, some hoping Adrien would react well. Others wondering if maybe Marinette was too obsessed with him and should be taken down a peg.

Well, Marinette wouldn't blame them. Her behaviour when she was younger was quite... ugh. She didn't even want to think about it. But Marinette and Adrien had spoken about how bad they were with their crushes on each other, for both their civilian and hero persona. They had even joked that they were definitely made for each other because of how obsessed they were (they still are).

But now that they had revealed their identities and now that they were dating, they learned how to be better for each other. They talked about everything and when they fought, they always made sure it didn't last long, instead trying to figure out both sides and coming to a compromise. They knew each other's quirks and what made them the happiest. They always made sure they agreed in the important things but they still loved to bicker about the unimportant things. They always teased each other and loved to make the other blush and feel hot. The kisses they shared could vary from sweet and short to long and intense.

If there was one thing that Marinette knew, it was that she made Adrien happy, as he did her.

So she knew whatever was going through his head wasn't disgust, but his pout threw her off of what it really was.

"What happened to the red and green designs?" He finally asked.

"Adrien! Are you serious?" She hit his arm lightly and many of her classmates (minus Alya and Nino who knew that they were dating and were used to this) jaws dropped.

"What? What's wrong with red and green?"

"You said you wanted a spring wedding."

"Yeah, so?"

"Red and green in a spring wedding? Adrien! I'm not having it Christmas themed! That would be a fashion catastrophe!"

"Dude. I'm going to have to agree with Marinette here. Besides, I think these designs are better than the last ones."

"Thanks Nino."

And he was right. The designs were beautiful.

She had gotten inspiration from a rose bush a few weeks ago.

The colour scheme was light pink contrasted with green and some gold detailing that was inspired by her Chinese background. Her dress was regal and even with its pink material, it looked fit for a queen.

It was a dress made of different shades of light pink, which fit tightly at the top, and Marinette had designed the skirt to be layered in a way that made it look like a rose, a flower she had grown to love because of Adrien. At the waist was a golden belt, shaped like the leaves of a rose and there was a layer of light green -almost mint- underneath which Marinette had noted to be made of a shiny or glittery material. It gave the impression of leaves but it looked more whimsical, just in the drawing itself. Adrien wondered what it would look like on Marinette. If, on her, it would look even better than he hoped. The top of the dress was a simple halter top which consisted of the same pinks, but the neck of the halter was drawn in the same fashion of the belt. Gold and shaped like leaves.

On another page, the back of the dress was drawn, which was largely just the gold neck detail and a long cape, meant to be made of the same mint green material that draped down to the floor and Adrien could just imagine her walking down the aisle looking as royal as she would look magical. Paired with the accessories she had drawn such as the golden crown, it would be perfect.

She had even sketched a suit for him. The suit was the same mint green, but Marinette had noted that it would be a more comfortable suit material. His tie would be pink and on his shoulders, there were gold decorated shoulder details that matched her dress design.

My dad would never think of this.

There were many more details that he could dwell on later but his main focus was on imagining what his lady would look like in the dress.

"Earth to Adrien," a hand waved in front of him which caused him to look at his girlfriend, whose eyes glinted with amusement.

"I prefer this design," was all he said.

"And thank ladybug for that," she replied, both ironically and unironically.

"What?! Adrien! Can't you see that Marinette is obsessed with you?"

Adrien turned to the annoying voice and rolled his eyes at her, "Well, I sure do hope she is. Otherwise this relationship would feel very one sided."

Marinette placed a hand on his arm and smiled at him, "Don't worry, my Prince. I'm as infatuated with you as you are with me."

He turned to his girlfriend and gathered her into his arms, "Oh really?"

She grinned up at him and stood on her tiptoes, bringing her face closer, "Yes, really."

He leaned in and closed the distance between their lips for only a few short seconds, pecking them sweetly.

When he drew his head back, he spoke again, "Why were you so horrified when you saw ur sketches just now? They look amazing. "

"Firstly, someone," she turned her head slightly to glare at Lila, "ripped my sketchbook so I think I have the right to be angry."

"Of course. Secondly?"

"I was planning on showing you sometime in the weekend. I wasn't even complete with all the details. Everything is ruined."

She groaned and her feet sank back to the floor. Her head made a small thud noise as she attached herself to his chest like a koala with it's favourite tree. He stroked her hair and pressed a kiss on the top of her head.

"No! This isn't meant to happen. You aren't supposed to be okay with this," Their heads quickly turned to face Lila who had been surprisingly quiet for a bit. Maybe she had still been processing.

Marinette's face morphed into what the class dubbed the 'if you are the target of this look, run' face. She stepped away from Adrien, who reluctantly let her go and stormed to the girl who had stolen and ruined her sketchbook.

Marinette quickly pointed her finger at Lila, "Do you know what isn't okay Lie-la? Do you? Because even after all of your lies got exposed. Even after people saw you for what you really are. You still try to manipulate them. You still try to lie to them. You still act like you have something above them- like you are some idol that must be worshipped. But you're not. You're just a liar. And that's all you'll ever be," by this point, Marinette had began to aggressively shove her finger into Lila's shoulder to emphasise her points, but no one stopped her.

"How dare you!" Lila shouted, even though Marinette was right on front of her. At least Marinette had the courtesy to use her normal volume of voice. (Nino would just say it made her seem scarier.)

"No," Marinette raised her voice up and grabbed the wrist that Lila had been about to slap her with, "How dare you! Ever since you have come here, you have had some kind of vendetta against me. Just because I called you out on your lies. You have threatened me and tried to bully me and you even got me expelled. And now you take my property and destroy it. You have no sense of privacy since you seem to love going through my locker so much. Maybe you're the one who's obsessed."

Marinette's hand gripped the girl's wrist tighter for a second before she threw it back to the girl's side harshly. Adrien, who had a proud grin on his face directed to his girlfriend, finally decided to intervene and went to Marinette's side. He put a hand on her shoulder, something he knew would calm her.

"A word of advice Lila. This is where you stop. All your lies and your schemes. Because if you don't, you'll have a lot of angry people yelling for your head to be chopped. And Marinette and I will be first in line."

"You can't threaten me!"

"I'm French Lila. I don't need to."

A few snickers could be heard in the background, the biggest belonging to Alya.

At that moment Miss Bustier walked into the room- she had been in the teacher's lounge printing something but she had come just after Marinette and her group and had heard most of what happened anyways.

The class quickly dispersed and made their way to their respective seats. Marinette and Adrien quickly gathered the pieces of paper that were taped on the interactive board and Marinette was grateful that Miss Bustier didn't question anything.

They made their way to Adrien's row (Nino decides to sit next to Alya) and sat down.

The class watched them as they snuggled into each other and whispered about Marinette's beautiful designs for their future wedding.

They payed no attention to the girl who's hair looked like sausages sulked in the background.

Instead they focused on the couple in the front row who seemed oblivious to everything but themselves.

What just happened? Went through most of their minds.

Years later, those classmates would be there to watch Marinette walk down the aisle in the dress she had designed as Adrien would cry from the overwhelming happiness of seeing his love walk towards him so beautifully, in his own outfit designed (and tweaked a little)  by Marinette. And they would remember fondly of the day it was revealed that the two were together. That despite the mishaps of the day, the couple never wavered, never stopped loving each other.

Oh! And they never had a Christmas themed wedding in the spring.

And, although they didn't know they were doing so, they definitely thanked Ladybug for making sure that didn't happen.

Hello there.

I really wanted to draw the dress but I didn't have time to. So you guys are just going to have to imagine it.

I hate Lila, that's an established fact. And I love writing fics where she is bashed.

I didn't really know where I was going with this oneshot. I just wrote. It was inspired by a oneshot I read ages ago but I can't even remember the name of it or half of what happened in that oneshot.

It isn't really mentioned but Alya does find out Marinette is Ladybug, just after Adrien does in this. She also finds out Adrien is Chat Noir. And Nino? Nino knows all. Nino sees all. And Nino realised that his best friends had the same dynamic as Ladybug and Chat Noir and put two and two together.

Bug out lovelies 😘.
