Esme got her Miraculous when Master Fu learned that she was allowing the other heroes to crash at her place. He asked the heroes about her individually and, after all vouching for her and mentioning her skills and her sure ability to keep this sort of thing quiet, he allowed them to leave a Miraculous box in her room as a gift for her help
