Gone Gone Gone (Adrienette)
Trigger warning
She was gone. Nobody could believe it, no one thought she would do it, could do it. But she did. And now, she was gone.
Gone, gone, gone.
That was all that Adrien could think of. His partner, his best friend, his love, was gone, and there was nothing he could do about it.
All he did now, was think, how could I not see the sparkle in her eye die out? How could I not notice all the signs?
He rolled in his bed, wrapping the covers tightly around him. It has been a few days since he left his room. He couldn't will himself to eat, no matter how hard he tried. Nino stopped by a few times, but his attempts failed as Adrien refused to get out of bed and talk to someone.
Last thing he knew was that Alya was somewhere mourning, but Nino informed him that she came back to school recently.
Nobody knew why Adrien was acting this way, they could only guess that it was because he had a secret crush on the pigtailed girl that sat behind him.
He hadn't expected that night though. The night she killed herself. He didn't think that she would reveal herself to him. As soon as she did, she transformed and ran off before he could speak. He raced to her house as fast as he could, just to be greeted by an ungodly sight.
Something that he wished never happened. Something he wished he had never seen.
Marinette was covered in a pool of red, her wrists slit. He screamed in agony and heartbreak as he stared at her.
"No! You can't leave me Mari! No!" He dragged out the last no, quickly increasing in volume. His scream lasted until his throat was torn raw, leaving behind a hoarse whisper.
People began to swarm the bakery as they heard the teen's aggravated screams. Marinette's parents had come upstairs to see what the ruckus was and were hugging each other tightly as they cried.
Chat pulled her limp body close to his as he cried into her chest. He could feel the familiar warmth begin to fade away, leaving behind a numbing coldness.
"You can't leave me! You can't leave too!" He cried, his voice barely coming above whisper. He tried to scream again but nothing came out of his swelling throat.
"You can't leave me too, Marinette."
Adrien dug himself further into his bed as he thought about that eventful night, silent sobs choking him.
He would cry but he had no more tears to shed. His body was completely depleted of tears.
Plagg stared sorrowfully at Adrien. He tried his best to comfort him, but he had just shrugged him off, burying himself deeper inside his sheets.
Adrien peeked his head out of the humid covers and stared at the Jagged Stone album Marinette had signed for him. That was around the same time he started to grow a crush on her.
How was he supposed to go on without her? As Chat Noir? As Adrien?
After some time debating, he transformed into Chat Noir. He ran across rooftops until he came to the Eiffel Tower.
There he slid the silver ring off of his finger, releasing his transformation, before handing it to Plagg.
"Adrien what are you-"
"Listen to me. Go find a better Chat Noir than me."
"Adrien, you're being over dramatic. You don't have to do this."
"I do, Plagg. I can't work with anyone else. Please. I need you to listen to me just this once." Adrien looked at Plagg with red swollen eyes. Plagg looked at him with despair.
"But I need to stay here to keep you safe..." Plagg cried out, flying over to Adrien. He gave him the best hug he could.
"I'll miss you, but please, go." Plagg cried as he lost another kitten. He knew exactly what Adrien was planning. And he knew no matter what he did, he couldn't prevent it. It had happened times before, and anything he did, wouldn't change his holder's mid.
"Please don't do it." He tried, as he floated away, holding his ring. "I know, I know how you feel. But suicide is not the answer Adrien."
"Plagg, please go." The wind blew his hair as he gave his kwami a sorrow filled smile. "I'll be alright."
Plagg looked down and when he looked back up, Adrien was gone. He looked back down below and saw the blonde model falling to his death.
"Adrien!" Plagg screamed. He felt Tikki's presence and turned to hug her just before the boy hit the ground.
This is it. I'll see her once more.
A sickening crunch sounded through out the area. People screamed, people cried, but Adrien smiled.
Marinette came into view, wearing a pure whit dress that flowed with every step she took.
"Adrien."
He grinned as he took her hand and stood up.
"Marinette."
"Welcome to heaven, my knight in shining armor."
"Thank you, Princess."
Don't hate me for a sad chapter! I just felt like doing it!
QOTC: Who would you live/die for?
My best friend Taylor. I would kill, if it meant she would be alright.
Until next time, peace!
