entry for a contest:)
This is my entry for Lady_blog hope you like it:))) this is their prompt, I just wrote the ome shot
Marinette didn't know what to do anymore. Ever since Tikki lost her ability to purify akumas, Chat has been acting stranger. He was mistaken if he thought she didn't notice a weird change of his suit.
Everytime he destroyed an akuma, it became a shade whiter and it worried her.
What would happen if it reaches snow-like white? Would it change his abilities as a hero or would his miraculous change?
"I'm sure Plagg will take care of Chat, Marinette," Tikki assured her as they both stared at the night sky.
"Who's Plagg?" she asked.
"His kwami. My other half," Tikki tried to stay positive. "He will make sure, Chat and him will be okay,"
"I don't know, Tikki," Marinette sighed. "I-I mean, his suit is changing! I don't know what I would do if I lost him..-"
Tikki sighed and pressed herself to the girl's cheek. "I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm sure, Master Fu will solve the purifying problem and everything will be as it was before,"
"I-I sincerely hope,"
------------
"Chat, the akuma!" Ladybug forced herself to yell. He gave her a thumb up and called cataclysm, before touching the small creature.
It turned to dust as soon as his hand made contact with its wings.
Ladybug helplessly watched his suit turn whiter. It was almost intirely white.
She sighed and walked over to him. He looked pale, like he he hasn't eaten for a day. She may not see the dark circles below his eyes, but she saw his eyes losing its green color. She could also see how tired he's become.
"Are you okay?" Ladybug placed an arm on his shoulder. Her miraculous was running out, but she always made sure to check up on her partner, even if it was her last minute.
"Don't worry about me, my lady," he tiredly smiled. "Just a busy schedule,"
She didn't believe a word he was saying. Maybe he really did have a busy schedule, but she could see how tired he became by every akuma he destroyed.
Her earring showed one dot left and she turned to leave, when she felt how his hand flew up to her shoulder to prevent his body from falling. His other hand was holding his stomach, looking down on the floor, his eyes covered by his messy hair.
"Chat...-" she whispered. She hugged her partner, trying to comfort him and maybe even get him to give up the miraculous for a while. Maybe it would help with his condition.
"Ladybug," he replied, not his usual soft voice, it sounded more like growl.
She raised an eyebrow, trying to pull away from the hug, but he held her tightly, not letting go of her.
"Chat!" she exclaimed. "Let me go!"
Then, he did the unexpected. He started laughing.
Not a sweet laugh, a laugh sounded harsh, like he wanted to mock someone. To hurt someone.
"Oh, Ladybug," he chuckled.
"C-Chat?"
Her one dot was running out. She had to get out of this as soon as possible.
Ladybug looked down at him, his face still burried in her shoulder, so she couldn't see him in the eyes, but it gave her a good view of his body.
That's when she gasped. His suit became totally white. She started shaking for no reason at all, maybe she was a little scared.
"Swear to god, let me go, Chat Noir," she exclaimed and struggled to get free.
He let go of her, but his hand was quick enough to grab her by the wrist. Then she finally got a good luck at his eyes. Her breath hitched, when she saw that his beautiful green eyes, turned purple.
"What's wrong, my lady?" he smirked, showing his teeth. Two front teeth were a little sharper than usual, giving him a dangerous look. "Don't like my new outfit?"
"Y-You..-" she didn't have time for this. She tried to get him off her, but he just stood there, doing literally nothing, only stare at her while she struggled.
She knew she didn't have much time left, so she went in action with her free hand, delivering him a punch to his jaw. He stumbled backwards and let go off her hand.
She didn't hesitate and ran away from him. Her dot was already signaling, she was about to detransform, so she hid in an alley.
Tikki flew out of her earrings and landed on her hand, exhausted.
"T-Tikki, wha..-what just happened?"
"Mari...-" Tikki exhaustedly said. "I need cookies, then I promise I'll explain everything,"
Marinette bit her lip and nodded, even though she felt like yelling, screaming, shouting and crying. And yes, she knew the first three things were almost one and the same.
She looked in her purse, but she had no back up cookies. She just had to run through the city to get to the bakery.
She carefully placed her tired kwami in her purse and started running as much as she could.
Then crash.
Marinette landed on the floor, but this time it wasn't her who was clumsy.
Something landed on top of her and it was heavy. "Oh my, was my princess in hurry?"
She started shaking in fear, when she heard that spooky voice of her partner.
"Chat Noir?" she tried to stand up, but he was still sitting on her back, while she was lying on the floor.
"Chat Blanc, actually," he smirked and finally got off her, then grabbing her shoulders and pulled her up.
"I-I really like the make over!" Marinette lied, trying to act as if it was normal. Chat raised an eyebrow and sighed.
"Have you seen Ladybug? She went that way," Chat said, looking at her sternly.
Marinette shook her head. "Is that the only reason you had to almost break my back?" it was her partner. Her punny partner. What was the worse that could happen?
With that she got slammed into a wall, his clawed hand tightly grabbing her chin, turning it so they were staring in each other's eyes and holding her up in the air, her feet not touching the ground, due to the height difference. "Watch your mouth, princess, not all cats can be as generous as this one,"
She wanted to scream. What was happening to her partner?
"Now, excuse me, I have to go snatch that miraculous from Ladybug," he smirked, before leaping away. Because he let her go, she fell to the ground with a thud and groaned in pain.
One thing was clear. This was not her partner.
------------
Tikki explained everything once they got home. Marinette listened to every single word of it.
The dark energy from Hawkmoth's akumas influenced Chat, everytime he touched one.
Marinette asked Master Fu about it, but he gave her the words 'something only you can do'.
Which confused her even more.
All she could do was to get out and face him. Once the night fell onto the city of love, she tranformed and swung with her yoyo across the city, trying to spot Chat somewhere.
"Oh? A cowardly bug finally showed up?" a voice spoke behind her, making her turn around in a speed of lightning. She gripped the yoyo in her hand and sighed.
"Marinette told me you wanted my miraculous. Why?" she asked through her clenched teeth.
"Oh my princess told you? Oh that bad, bad girl. I might need to punish her later," he smirked, showing off his white teeth. She shook at the thought of what kind of punishment he meant.
"But the answer is really simple, my lady," he said. "Hawkmoth needs it,"
"And why are you suddenly helping him?" she asked.
"Oh well, when he's your father, you really don't have a choice,"
"What?!" she exclaimed. "I-If you knew, why didn't you tell me?"
"You see, I knew it deep inside, but I refused to believe it. Now that I'm like this, I don't mind anymore,"
Ladybug took a deep breath, before swung her yoyo towards him, but he blocked the attack with his baton.
"You're pathetic if you think you can beat me," he said and blocked more attacks, she sent flying.
"Maybe, but I will get my kitty back,"
"You do that," he laughed and attacked.
They fought for a while, both of them out of breath. They were matched.
But then it was like a light bulb turned on above his head. He might be matched with her in strategy, but she was weaker than him.
He put away his baton and started normally walking towards her. This put her off totally as she didn't know what to do.
Before she knew, he pinned her down to the floor, his thighs painfully pressed into hers, so there was no way she could've escaped. Her arms were held down by his hands. He knew that if he let go of her hands, there was a big possibility, she could get away, but he also had to get her miraculous.
So he leaned down to her face, smirking at her, before he pressed a kiss to her cheek and traveled small kisses down her jawline and up to her ear.
He didn't care if he hurt her, so he pulled the earring out with his mouth and spat it out on the floor next to her.
She screamed in agony as she felt the small drops of blood pour down her neck.
Her transformation faded away and only Marinette stayed on the heroine's place.
His eyes didn't even flinch when he realized his classmate was his love.
"What a pleasent surprise," he smirked.
'What to do? How to get him out of that state? Punching? Kicking? No, that won't do!'
A flashback of the last Valentine's day appered in her mind. It's worth a shot.
She didn't hesitate as she closed the gap between them.
Even though something in Chat wanted to resist, he couldn't. He closed his eyes and let himself melt into the kiss.
Marinette pulled away soon after, realizing nothing has changed so she just started crying.
It was worth a shot anyway.
Then his eyes converted from purple into green and he blinked a few times.
"Ma...-Marinette?" his suit was still white, but her kitty was back.
She sighed in relief. "Thank god,"
"Wha..-what happened?"
"Nothing. Just, please come back to me," she bit her lip as he let go off her.
He looked weirdly at her and at the earrings she wore and it clicked in his head.
"I will, if you want me,"
"I will always want you, kitty,"
