Sabrina woke up and rubbed her head. "Where am I... Ack!" She jumped backwards when she saw a white butterfly perched on her glasses. Sabrina waved it away, and got a better look at where she was. She could barely see anything in the dark chamber, but it seemed large and stoney, judging from the cool air draft and how her voice echoed in the chamber.

"Good evening, Miss Raincomprix." A voice from the dark spoke.

Sabrina stiffened. "Who said that?"

"Someone who can help you."

"Help me? With what?"

"With getting your revenge on Chloè."

Sabrina could not snuff out the spark of interest and curiosity at his proposal.

"I'm listening." She spoke after a minute.

"Your anger and feelings of being unloved and unnoticed screamed out to me. I knew you were too powerful for just a little Akuma. And now that Volpina is present in Paris, Queen Bee certainly won't be far behind. With each Miraculous comes its counterpart, and I will soon be outmatched if I stand by idly." He paused. "My ultimate goal, is to take the Ladybug earrings and the Black Cat's ring, so that I may achieve absolute power, and bring back the one I love. But if you help me, I promise you may also use this power to exact your revenge on the Bourgeois girl."

Sabrina's desire for revenge overtook her, influencing her and clouding her judgement. Her face curled into an unfamiliar, twisted grin.

"What must I do?"

It had been about 75 minutes, and Volpina still couldn't find Sabrina.

"Where could she be??" Volpina hissed to herself. She wiped away sweat budding on her forehead. "Okay, it wouldn't hurt to take a quick break."

Volpina flew to the top of Sacré-Cœur, which stood nearby. She sat down and rested for a minute, but then, her fox hearing had picked up voices coming from one of the spires.

"...must I do?" A familiar feminine voice spoke. Sabrina!

Volpina perked up, her weariness forgotten. She hovered to the origin of the voices, and she found herself peering through a large window in the church. Hawkmoth was there, and so was Sabrina. Sabrina had a menacing and borderline sadistic grin plastered on her face, and she looked extremely interested in whatever Hawkmoth was about to say.

Hawkmoth spoke, and Volpina strained her hearing to catch what he was saying. "You must swear to be my Lieutenant in the coming battles. Swear to fight against the so-called heroes. Give your word that you will serve as my tactician and second-in-command, and I will give my word that when I achieve ultimate power, you will get what is promised to you." His enclosed hand moved from behind his back to extending out in front of him, to Sabrina. He opened his closed hand, and inside was... Another Miraculous??

"I swear I will serve, Hawkmoth." Sabrina kneeled to him.

"Then rise and take this Miraculous, Steel Peacock." Sabrina stood and took the peacock Miraculous from Hawkmoth's outstretched hands. Se pinned it on her sweater, and a light blue Kwami sprung out of the pin.

"What is your name?" Sabrina asked the Kwami coldly.

The Kwami shivered under her new holder's harsh gaze. "M-my name i-is Jada."

"Jada, I am your new holder. You will do as I say, and you will not question me." Sabrina leaned closer to her Kwami, her gaze hardening. "Disobey, Jada, and you will pay the price."

"Yes, Mistress." Jada trembled.

It hurt Volpina to see someone treat their Kwami so poorly. She had been leaning against the top of the window, but almost slipped in her distraction from listening to the conversation. Volpina let out a yelp, and as soon as it came out she ducked away from the view of the window and covered her mouth in fear. But it was too late.

Hawkmoth chuckled dryly. "It seems as though we have a curious fox. Transform into your new form, Steel Peacock, and show this fox what happens when they try to take the bait off the trap."

"Jada, transform me!" Sabrina yelled, and a blue flash of light came from inside the window.

Volpina immediately sped away, flying as fast as she could to get away from the church. Just when she thought she had gotten away, Volpina felt a sharp yank on her tail, effectively stopping her.

When she was turning around to face whoever stopped her, the figure's fist smashed into Volpina's face, and she went unconscious.
