Adrien POV:

Both Marinette and Adrien stepped out of their trance and went on autopilot.

The two of them hastily grabbed their bags which held their kwami’s, and Adrien grabbed both Marinette and Kagami by the wrist, pulling them behind him.

“Go find somewhere safe to hide, I’ll catch up with you two. I just have to make sure that the rest of the class is okay.”

"No! You two find somewhere safe to hide and I'll umm… hide somewhere different." Marinette said, as she winced at her lame excuse.

"Don't be ridiculous you two! We all need to find a place to hide together!" Kagami shouted.

Adrien sighed. He'd just have to find a hiding spot for Marinette and Kagami and then make an excuse as to why he couldn't hide with them.

"You're right Kagami, let's go find somewhere to hide." Adrien said.

"But wait… umm" Marinette desperately tried to protest.

"I'm not letting you go out on your own Marinette, come on!" He told her, before dragging her along with Kagami to the nearest building.

The building happened to be a gift shop, and Adrien quickly went inside and opened the nearest fitting room and pushed the two girls into it.

He made up an excuse about not fitting and tried to close the door, but not before Marinette had jumped out.

“Wait Marinette where are you going, come back here…” Kagami objected but Marinette ignored her protests, she had to make sure that Adrien was safe.

She then tried to push him in the fitting room, and Adrien stumbled back.

When had Marinette gotten so strong?

The two of them then tried to push the other into the room, with Kagami trying to pull them both in, before they heard a large crash.

The akumatized villain stepped in the room, and Marinette took advantage of Kagami and Adrien's distraction to attempt to push Adrien in the fitting room again.

Adrien automatically moved backwards, which caused them both to go tumbling through the store, alerting the Akuma of their presence.

Adrien grabbed a hold of  Marinette’s hand and jumped into the nearest fitting room, but Marinette tried to get him to let go of her, which led to Akuma barreling towards them.

They landed into the storage closet, beside the fitting rooms which Adrien had been aiming for, and Adrien quickly shut the door to avoid being squashed by a metal baseball glove.

The two teens shoved against the door, hoping to escape so they could quickly transform, but they only found that it was barricaded.

Adrien was becoming increasingly aware of Marinette's presence, as she frantically pounded on the door.

Who designed these closets to be so small? He thought to himself as he looked around the tiny cluttered  space.

“MWAHAHA you foolish kids you have fallen right into my trap… now to find Ladybug a Chat Noir and take their miraculous! MWAHAHA!"

Adrien and Marinette  stopped pouding on the door knowing there was no use, it was sealed tightly shut. They both turned away from the door and because of the small spacing of the closet their chests collided. The two teenagers gasped in shock as they furiously mumbled out apologies.

Adrien found himself blushing at their close proximity before he quickly scolded himself, this is no time to get flustered, you have to help ladybug, besides she has a boyfriend.

Marinnete suddenly swiveled around and before he could warn her about the clutter he heard a panicked shriek, he instantly turned around reaching out as he caught her in his arms before she could hit the ground.

He let out a sigh of relief as he caught her just in time. It wasn’t until his panic subsided that he realized how close they were. Her hands rested on his chest, his on the soft skin of her waist, their bodies pressed tightly together.

He couldn’t help the sparks of pleasure that coursed through him from where they were touching and how his heart fluttered erratically. He gazed into her beautiful blue bell eyes and he felt himself get lost in them.

“Are you okay?” When he spoke his voice was husky and strained.

He didn't realize how long they stayed like that until Marinette spoke up

"Uh.. should we um.. try to find a way out?" Marinette asked.

Adrien barely comprehends what she said, instead wondering how he was going to refrain from kissing her.

Gazing down at her, he truly realized how beautiful she was. He couldn’t help but notice everything: her big beautiful ocean eyes, the light freckles that were dotted along her button nose, and the strands of gorgeous midnight black hair that shaped her face.

God he wanted to kiss her...

Focus Adrien!

"Um..  sorry can you repeat that?" He asked.

"Um… I asked if we were uh.. going to try to find a way out" Marinette said.

Out… why did he want to leave again? It was hard to think with Marinette being in such close proximity to him… wearing a bathing suit…

Wait… he had to get out… he was Chat Noir! Ladybug needed his help!

"Crap right!" He said, trying not to panic.

"Uh.. doors barricaded… vents! Yeah look for a vent!" He said.

"Right vents buildings have vents! Marinette said, equally as flustered as Adrien.

They both scrambled around and felt along the walls until Marinette found the vent. “Adrien, it’s over here!”

Adrien looked over to see Marinette pointing towards a vent near the closet door.  “Great Job Marinette, I knew you would find it!”

Adrien heard Marinette mumble a quiet thank you under her breath. He couldn’t help the warm smile that broke across his face and sense of adoration that washed over him. She was so smart and adorable.

“Now we just have to open it” Adrien said as he felt around for the screws that would release
the vent.

He quickly opened the vent, and shuffled away from it. "Ladies first" he told the black haired girl beside him, smiling like an idiot.

If it wasn't so dark in the closet, Adrien would have seen the blush that covered Marinette's face at his offer.

Marinette clumsily climbed into the vent, and Adrien followed her.

They crawled through the vent until they reached the end, Marinette pushed open the vent and not watching where she was crawling, awkwardly fell out.

Adrien quickly jumped out and offered her a hand up. He let out a sigh of relief and pulled her back up beside him. She grasped onto his shirt and looked into his eyes with a silent thank you. He gave her a warm smile and squeezed her hand, he was still holding. “I’ve got you.”

He could see her flushed cheeks through the darkness of the vents and couldn’t help the blush that crept onto his. “Let’s keep going,” he said, trying to snap out of it. He had a mission to do and a girlfriend.

The vent had led to the exterior of the building and Adrien took in his surroundings. He reached
out his hand to help Marinette out of the vents. “Don’t want you almost dying again do we,” he joked teasingly. “Hey” she said as she hit his chest playfully and he couldn’t help the laugh that escaped him.

It was odd, even when he was in the worst situations, he couldn’t help but feel happy when he was with her.

But it was time to get serious. Paris needed saving. His lady needed him.

"Marinette, you go find a place to hide. I'm going to go check on Kagami" Adrien told her.

It wasn't entirely truthful, but he needed to transform into Chat Noir and help Ladybug defeat the akuma.

"O-okay, yeah I'll go hide, I'll be totally hiding at not doing anything else.." she said, muttering the rest of the sentence under her breath so Adrien couldn't hear it.

Before he could say something, Marinette ran off to find a place to hide from the akuma. Adrien looked around to make sure nobody was around, before transforming into Chat Noir.

Once he was transformed into his leather suit,, he used his baton to raise himself up, scanning the area for the Akuma.

Spotting the Akuma, he started to head over. He hoped Ladybug was doing alright, having to fight the Akuma for so long without his help.

Marinette POV:

Marinette raced around the water park quickly trying to find somewhere to transform.

Finding a building to duck behind, she opened her purse where Tikki was sitting.

"Time to transform Tikki,” Marinette quickly transformed into Ladybug, as she immediately took action to find the villain.

Chat Noir might not arrive till later, since he probably wasn't at the waterpark, so she would have to fight the Akuma on her own for a bit.

First she had to find the akumatized villain. She swung her yo yo, using it as a shield in case she ran into the akuma.

She found the akumatized victim quickly, they didn't seem to know the definition of stealth, making a racket and loudly screaming for vengeance.

To the spotted heroines surprised, Chat Noir had already arrived. She must have been in that closet for longer than she had thought.

"Chat Noir, over here!" She said when he had momentarily stopped fighting the villain.

In an instant he was beside her, out of range of the Akuma's massive metal baseball equipment she was currently hurling everywhere.

"Akuma's in the baseball bat," Chat said matter of factly.

“Looks like it kitty” she said, eyeing the bat grasped firmly in Akuma's hand.

Ladybug analysed the situation before she turned back to her partner. "Any powers other than attacking people with baseball equipment?" She asked him.

"Doesn't seem like it," he replied, accessing the villain.

"Then this should be over quickly," she said confidently.

"Let's make it quick and hope we don't strike out" He said in a teasing voice.

"Haha very funny" she told him, reaching over to quickly flick his bell before running up to face the Akuma.

The Akuma,called out to her, menacingly, “look who it is the little bug? Get ready to be squashed by my amazing baseball skills.

"Have fun trying that" She taunted back, leaping over the metal projectiles.

"I am foul ball and you will give me your Miraculous!" Foulball roared, hurling more baseball equipment.

"Let me guess, you struck out so you decided to throw stuff at people?" Chat Noir said, joining the fight.

"What is it with all these sports Akuma's anyway… is there some sort of Olympics going on?" he said, laughing.

“Maybe Hawkmoth is trying to get a theme going. Like sports this month, and what… movies next?“ Ladybug said playfully.

“Good point LB" Cat Noir said, dodging yet more baseball equipment. “Or maybe he’s just trying to find a purrfect hobby, the grandpa needs something to do other than being a-

Before Cat Noir could finish his sentence a ball came whirling towards him, as he quickly dodged it.

"No time for chit-chat on the baseball field!" The Akuma roared.

Ladybug rolled her eyes at the Akuma's threat, calling out for her super power.

A bottle of sunscreen fell into Ladybug's hands and she couldn't help but giggle. Of course she'd get a bottle of sunscreen when she was at a waterpark.

“That’s thoughtful of you LB, but this body doesn’t burn, in fact this cat loves to sunbathe. Chat Noir smiled arrogantly as he motioned to his body.

"I doubt that Chaton, you have quite pale skin." She said, tapping him on the nose.

He scoffed, in amusement, “I think your just jealous that you didn’t have the chance to see me in a swimsuit,” He said bopping her nose back.

"In your dreams pussycat" Ladybug replied.

"You have no respect for the noble sport of baseball!" Foulball screeched in annoyance at the two superhero’s playful banter.

"I need your tail." she told Chat Noir, who then handed it to her with a wink.

She tied the sunscreen to her yo-yo using his belt, making sure it wouldn't squirt out unless more pressure was added.

"Hey Foulball, catch this!" Ladybug cried, throwing her yo-yo directly at the supervillain.

Foulball slung her bat across her back, elaborately catching the yo-yo, as Ladybug had expected, too caught up in her 'victory' to notice the sunscreen smearing over her hands.

Then, with a sudden yank, Ladybug was pulled towards Foulball by her yo-yo. "Whoops forgot about that part" she muttered to herself.

"Haha I've got you now! You can make it to first base Ladybug, but you’ll never be fast enough to make it home!” Foulball cried. Now to get your Miraculous.

Foulball reached for Ladybug's earring, but her fingers slipped off it. Ladybug smirked, before pulling away from Foulball.

“Ladybug, Noooo!” She heard Cat Noir cry.

She sent him a reassuring thumbs up, but that didn't stop him from running towards the akuma.

“Let the lady go,” Cat Noir yelled as he raced over.

Foulball grabbed her baseball bat, probably to hurl something at Ladybug, but instead the bat slipped out of her hands, landing in Chat Noir's hand.

“Cataclysm,” Chat Noir yelled out as the bat disintegrated in his hands, releasing the akuma. “Back to the bench slugger, looks like you struck out.”

The Akuma fluttered out of the dust, revealing the Akuma victim to be their subsitute teacher.

While chat explained the situation to the teacher, Ladybug captured the Akuma in her yo-yo and purified it. Then she tossed the sunscreen into the air, undoing all the damage she had done.

"Pound it?" Ladybug questioned her partner, holding out her fist.

Chat looked down at her outstretched fist, an unrecognizable expression on his face, and she felt an unsettling feeling sit in the pit of her stomach.

Until he gazed up into her eyes with a warm smile on his face as he reached out his fist to meet hers.

"Pound it." Chat Noir replied, and Ladybug smiled at him, before leaving to detransform.

After the akuma attack, Marinette re-grouped with Adrien and Kagami.

“Where did you guys go and hide?” Kagami asked, “I saw you two get stuck in the closet? What happened.”

Marinette was about to answer but then flashes of her and Adrien were stuck together in the closet appeared before her eyes and she suddenly, her mouth gaped open and her words got caught in her throat.

“Don’t worry Kagami,” Adrien said saving her from having to speak, “We  escaped through the vents and both ran off to a safe place to hide.” Adrien reassured her.

The rest of the day was a blur, with Alya and Nino regrouping with them at the end of the day.

Now, the class was arriving back at the school after an eventful day at the water park. Marinette hopped of the bus, chatting with Alya.

"Marinette?" She heard a voice call from behind her, and turned around to see Kagami.

"Yeah Kagami? What's up" she asked.

"Can we umm… hangout tomorrow? Like one on one?" the black-haired girl asked.

"Yeah sure, why not" Marinette responded, shooting her a smile.

"Excellent I'll see you tomorrow.” Kagami said, before turning away to head home.

"Alright see you" Marinette said.

"What was that about?" Alya asked her. "I'm not sure." Marinette said, still smiling faintly.

"Alright then, see ya girl!" Alya said, before turning in the direction of her house.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow!" Marinette called after her best friend, before heading home herself.
