It was a lovely night in Paris. Everything was calm and everyone was at peace.

Everyone, except a certain model.

"Kid, you've been talking about that girl for hours. If you're so concerned about her, why don't you just call her or something?" the black cat kwami asked, annoyed.

Don't get him wrong, he likes the boy a lot. But he's had enough of hearing him talk about that girl. First Ladybug, now Marinette (he already knows that they are the same, but still). He might as well expect Adrien to talk about Kagami next.

Couldn't the boy just talk about cheese? Oh, yes! This cat could talk about cheese all day every day.

Adrien sighed.

"I said something that upset her, Plagg. Why would she answer to my calls?" Adrien asked, raising an eyebrow.

Plagg ate another piece of camembert.

"Well then apologize to her or something." Plagg rolled his eyes.

Adrien also rolled his eyes.

"I don't even know what I said to upset her." he spoke, covering his face with his hands.

Plagg groaned.

"Well you'll never find out if you don't try to find some answers."

Adrien thought for a second.

"You know what, Plagg? You're right!" he said, standing up.

Plagg gave him a suspicious look. He soon realized what his owner wanted.

"Plagg, claws out!"

"Nonono, that's not what I meaaaaant-" Plagg screamed. He got sucked into Adrien's ring and the boy soon transformed into the famous superhero, Chat Noir.

Chat Noir opened his window and jumped out.

He jumped from roof to roof, feeling the breeze.

He stopped on a roof and looked around. It was the same roof where it happened.

~Flashback~

"What a beautiful night for pawtrol, don't you think Bugaboo?" Chat Noir smirked.

Ladybug groaned.

"I thought I told you to stop calling me Bugaboo." she said, putting her hands on her hips.

"But, m'lady-" Chat Noir started.

But Ladybug cut him off.

"I also told you that I love someone else. So if you could stop calling me 'm'lady'?" Ladybug continued.

Chat Noir's ears lowered.

Ladybug got closer to Chat and tried to put a hand on his shoulder, to let him know that they can still be friends.

But Chat quickly took a few steps back.

"No, it's okay! I understand! You don't like me that way. Sorry for making you uncomfortable, m'la- Ladybug." he apologized, getting closer to the edge of the roof.

"Chat, wait-" Ladybug tried to say, but Chat left before she could say anything else.

'Why did I even try? Did I seriously think she'd suddenly change her mind and fall for me?' he thought, trying to hold in his tears.

~End of Flashback~

Chat Noir sighed sadly, his mission to find Marinette, forgotten.

He sat on the edge of the roof and looked down.

Oh, how he just wished he had someone to talk to and hug right now. To have a shoulder to cry on.

First, his mother leaves him, then his father becomes cold and now the one he truly loved with all his heart rejects him. Multiple times.

He truly felt like a black cat, right now.

A tear fell down on the ground and that's when he realized just how sad and lonely he really was.

He then remembered Marinette.

Marinette...

A sweet girl who did so much good and was a good leader... and actually cared a bit about his feelings.

She shouldn't suffer because of him.

Chat Noir stood up and, without a second thought, headed to Marinette's house.

When he was close enough to her house, he saw her standing on her balcony, with her head down.

'I'm sorry, Marinette!' Chat thought.
