Chapter 54: Reflekta Part 1

(The Next Day)

Like Marinette had told Jim the previous night, the day after Gamer and the Ultra Mech Strike 3 tournament had brought along her school's Class Photo day. But there was still a long wait for when her class actually went up for their turn. So while Ms. Mendeleiev's class was up on the benches while Vincent; Adrien's usual photographer, positioned them in the right order, Marinette's class was waiting on the steps into the courtyard for their turn, talking amongst themselves.

"I'm gonna be in a photo with Adrien! I'm gonna be in a photo with Adrien!" Marinette squealed to Alya in excitement, the two girls sitting on the steps while Adrien and Nino were talking to one another just a few feet away.

"Right. Mainly 'cause it's a class photo and you're in the same class as Adrien." Alya remarked to her bestie, not really seeing why Marinette was so excited but didn't stop her from nodding eagerly at her words.

"Amazing, isn't it?" Marinette cheered. "OH! MY! GOSH! What if we're standing in the same row together?" the designer exclaimed, not realizing the possibility could actually happen until that momnet. At her friend's words, Alya couldn't help but laugh

"Oh girl, you're too funny." Alya managed to say after her bout of laughter. "Just smile and whatever happens, don't forget to breathe!" Alya reminded Marinette, knowing full well that she had a tendency to overreact when it came to being 10 feet away from Adrien.

"At least you know you're gonna be in the photo." A voice near the girls grumbled, causing Marinette and Alya to turn around and see Rose and a mopey Juleka standing behind them

"No, Juleka, I'm telling you, you're not jinxed!" Rose protested, hoping to cheer her best friend up. "This time it's gonna work out, I can feel it... right here!" the pixie-haired girl continued, placing her hands on her heart whilst leaning onto Juleka in her encouragement.

"What's this about being jinxed?" Marinette asked as she stood up onto her feet, now cautious about Rose's earlier words. In response to the question, Juleka only sighed before she took point in responding.

"Ever since I was little, every time someone takes a photo of me, something always goes very wrong." Juleka explained as she pulled out her phone from her pocket, opening up her gallery app to show Marinette and Alya a collection of her past picture disasters. This included the class photo from last year, where a younger Max's hand was covering Juleka's face, and another photo of her and Rose from the year they were in now where a pigeon had blocked Juleka's face. The last photo Juleka showed the girls was the latest failure, portraying the four girls with Kim in it as well while Juleka was just at the edge of the photo.

"See? I'm cursed!" the purple streak-haired girl sighed, putting her phone away as she now only felt worse at the reminders of past bad photos.

"You're wrong Juleka, you'll see!" Rose encouraged, not wanting her best friend to be so sad.

"For sure!" Marinette agreed, now eager to help her classmate. "We'll do everything we can to make sure it goes right this time. Don't forget to smile!" the pigtailed girl assured Juleka, making the girl smile at the thought of her having a good photo for once.

"Thank you kids, you've been wonderful." Vincent announced to Ms. Mendeleiev's class, letting them leave before he straightened the set in preparation for Marinette's class. "Ok, time to flash your pearly whites, guys!" the photographer exclaimed to the kids, turning to look at the awaiting class to see who would go best where.

"You kids take a seat on the front bench." Vincent decided as he gestured at Max, Alix, Rose, Marinette, and Mylène, directing them where to sit. "Quickly please, I've got sixteen other classes to shoot." the photographer stressed, prompting the selected teens to sit down on the front bench while the rest of the class was whispering amongst themselves as they waited.

"Look Sabrina, they're up front in the baby seats!" Chloé teased the group of students, deciding to make fun of their placement when she noticed them. "Go on rugrats, don't forget to take your thumbs out of your mouths!" the blonde brat continued to taunt, making Marinette grunt at her in annoyance while Vincent continued with his placement of the students.

"Well, next row!" Vincent announced, getting everyone's attention so they wouldn't miss where to go. "Hmmm... You, you, you and you go stand on the rear bench, please." the photographer decided, pointing to Nathaniel, Alya, Sabrina, and Chloé to direct them where to go. But needless to say, Chloé wasn't happy with his decision.

"Wait just one minute! I'm supposed to be in the middle row, right next to Adrien. Preferably the center." Chloé argued, not following behind the others and throwing her arm around Adrien's shoulder as she made her case. "Look, we're the same size!" the heiress added, waving her hand over hers and Adrien's head to make her point. But her gesture only proved her wrong, considering she clearly stood a head shorter than the boy when she stood side by side with Adrien.

"Nah, go stand in the back row, behind the rest." Vincent dismissed, not having any of Chloé's antics in favor of getting the job done.

"How dare you, put me behind the rest? Do you know who my father is?" Chloé growled as she stalked up to the photographer, not taking note of how high he towered above her when she stood a few feet in front of him.

"Is he a photographer?" Vincent questioned the girl, causing Chloé to lose her confidence and gasp at his blatant ignorance of her status.

"NO! He's-" Chloé began, about to pull the 'My Dad's the Mayor' card on Vincent.

"Bummer, I could really use an assistant." Vincent pouted, ignoring Chloé once again. "Now hurry up and take your place, or I'll put you up front with the babies!" the photographer lightly threatened, making Chloé growl at him in fury before walking off to her assigned spot. With that little issue taken care of, Vincent now focused on the remainder of the students.

"Everyone else, stand in the middle row." Vincent directed, sliding over to the remaining students. With their destination set, the students walked over, sans Juleka as she thought that the photographer had forgotten about her.

"It's no big deal Chloé! As long as we're all in the same photo, right?" Adrien said to his childhood friend, trying to keep her placid for the photos so there would be no interruptions. Granted he was a model and this was a class photo, but even he knew that it was better in the long run for there to be less drama to interrupt the photo so everyone could be happy. But when the boys took their places in the middle row, Marinette noticed Juleka wasn't with them and looked to the side to see Juleka looking at her wrist mirror in the distance, feeling left out.

"Hey, he said 'Everyone else', Juleka! That includes you too!" Marinette called out to Juleka, bringing everyone's attention onto her and pulling the soft spoken girl out from her sulking.

"Come on over, Juleka!" Rose added, waving her best friend over to the group.

"There's some space here next to me!" Adrien offered, happy to help in encouraging Juleka to join them.

"Get on in here!" Alya yelled in encouragement, making Juleka smile at their words before walking over to the group, taking place on Adrien's right.

"And you're gonna be right in the center! All eyes will be on you!" Marinette remarked, glad that Juleka had chosen to take Adrien's offer to stand next to him. All the more reason for the jinx to be broken. "No more jinxed class photos!" the pigtailed girl proclaimed, all while Vincent got ready to take the picture.

"Perfect! You guys are awesome!" Vincent announced, giving them an 'OK' sign as he spoke while Ms. Bustier took her spot on the right side of the class while Mr. Damocles stood on their left. "Now stop squirming and let's get this photo shot!" the photographer said, now looking into the camera in preparation of taking the picture. But after he started adjusting the zoom on the camera, something about the placement of the students felt off.

"No, this isn't right! Something's not working here!" Vincent muttered out loud, not liking what he was seeing.

"Uhh, of course it's not working! I'm in the wrong spot!" Chloé spoke up, still trying to get Vincent to switch her to her 'proper place'. Yet again, Chloé was ignored by the photographer as he walked over to Ivan.

"You, move over here will ya?" Vincent requested, leading to Ivan following the man's instructions and standing in the back row. "Lets see..." the photographer trailed off, finding the new placement even worse than before. The rearranging lasted for a few more minutes, Vincent still trying to find a good spot for Ivan before Mr. Damocles decided to speak up.

"Excuse me, but do we have a problem?" Mr. Damocles questioned from his own spot standing on the left of the class, causing Vincent to sigh in frustration.

"It doesn't matter where I put him, it throws the whole picture out of whack!" Vincent explained, still trying to think of a solution.

"My spot is unacceptable!" Chloé whined, only to decide to take matters into her own hands and try to jump down a row, pushing Juleka to get her out of the way. Unfortunately for Chloé, Juleka pushed back.

"That's right Juleka, don't let her push you out of the way!" Marinette encouraged, glad that Juleka was standing up for herself.

"Ms. Bourgeois, behave yourself!" Ms Bustier lectured Chloé, finding the girl's behavior unacceptable.

"Hey! Nobody asked you loudmouth!" Chloé growled at Marinette, not happy that the designer had brought more attention to her as she tried to climb over Juleka.

"This isn't gym class, Chloé. Just settle down." Adrien said to Chloé, pulling her out of her attempts to stand next to him out of shock. At Adrien's words, she immediately stopped trying to squeeze herself between Juleka and Adrien and resumed standing in her given spot while Vincent now decided on a plan for fitting Ivan into the photo.

"You, over here, you here, and you here." Vincent directed for the final time, making the majority of the class change spots now. While the back row remained the same, the middle row order had changed to have Nino at the end closest to Ms. Bustier, followed by Adrien, Juleka, Kim and Ivan. Meanwhile, the front row changed too, with Marinette sitting next to an unmoved Max followed by Mylene, Alix and finally Rose.

"There, perfect!" the photographer announced, now happy with the placement of the class as he got ready to take the picture.

"Uh, no! It isn't! It's not perfect at all! I'm totally not next to Adrien!" Chloé complained, making both Adrien and Marinette sigh in annoyance of her antics.

"Chloé, if you don't behave your father has authorized me to call your aunt and inform her of your behavior. Now please behave, we still have sixteen classes to photograph!" Mr. Damocles warned Chloé, immediately making her shut up and listened to the head of the school while everyone else was in awe of what just happened. "Go ahead Vincent." the principal said, giving him persimmon to finally take the photo.

"Say spaghetti!" Vincent cheered to the class, now looking into the camera to take the picture.

"Spaghetti!" Everyone chanted, smiles on their faces. But at the last second, the camera suddenly ran out of battery.

"Oh, I don't believe this!" Vincent groaned, now further annoyed by the turn of events. "I'm sorry, I have to go fetch another battery. Nobody move!" the photographer instructed before walking off to his equipment to get a new battery, all while Juleka sadly walked away from her spot and towards Ms. Bustier.

"Can I go to the bathroom?" Juleka asked the teacher, wanting to take some time to compose herself.

"Yes, Juleka, but hurry!" Ms. Bustier permitted, letting Juleka walk towards the bathrooms.

"Ms. Bustier! He said nobody is to move!" Mr. Damocles sternly reminded the teacher, noticing Juleka's departure.

"It's an emergency sir!" Ms. Bustier explained to Mr. Damocles, causing the principal to growl angrily at the inconvenience. But while Mr. Damocles was still grumbling, Chloé saw an opportunity.

"Make sure she doesn't come back!" Chloé whispered to Sabrina, who was suddenly uncomfortable with the order.

"Chloé, are you sure? I mean-" Sabrina replied in a quiet voice, not wanting to exclude Juleka from the photo

"JUST DO IT!" Chloé hissed in a whisper, scaring Sabrina enough to nod in confirmation before throwing her hand into the air.

"Ms. Bustier, I need to go too!" Sabrina exclaimed to the teacher, running down from the back row and towards the bathroom.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since she was running, it didn't take long for Sabrina to catch up to Juleka as she went inside the bathroom. After hiding behind a locker to wait for Juleka to enter a bathroom stall, Sabrina snuck into the bathroom and blocked the handle with a wooden chair. With the task done, the bespeckled girl ran out of the bathroom, her shoes clacking onto the floor alerting Juleka to another presence in the room and prompting her to try and open the door. But thanks to the chair in the way, she was trapped.

Back in the courtyard of the school, Sabrina had exited the bathroom just as Vincent had returned to his camera with his extra battery.

"We're back in business!" Vincent announced after placing the battery into the device, not noticing Sabrina climbing back up into the back row and giving Chloé a thumbs up. At the confirmation of no further interruptions, a smug smiling Chloé jumped down into the middle row and finally stood next to Adrien... which definitely didn't go unnoticed.

"Hey! What are you doing? Where's Juleka!?" Marinette protested when she saw Chloé had placed herself into Juleka's spot, not happy with the blonde's antics as she turned her body to look up at the heiress.

"How'd you even get here?" Adrien wondered out loud, surprised that Chloé had gotten herself to where she was with ease while their exchange had drawn the class's attention.

"Urgh, who cares? At last, I'm in the right spot!" Chloé cheered as she threw her arm around Adrien, making him crouch a bit due to the new position.

"I want you to flash your best smiles! Because it's the last time we are doing this!" Vincent told the class, making Marinette gasp in shock at his words while Chloé held Adrien's head still to look at the camera against his will.

"But...WAIT!" Marinette began to protest, reaching her hand towards Vincent to stop him. But it was too late... he took the picture anyway.

"Thanks kids!" Vincent thanked, not at all caring that no one except the adults were looking at the camera so that he could get through to the awaiting class.

"Wait! Please sir, we have to redo the photo!" Marinette exclaimed, getting out of her seat and standing up as she spoke.

"Why's that?" Mr. Damocles questioned, the students walking away from the set to surround the principal and classmate as Marinette walked up to him.

"Juleka wasn't in it!" Marinette explained, pointing out that it wasn't fair for her to be excluded.

"Plus, I'm pretty sure no one was looking at the camera thanks to Chloé's sudden rearrangement." Adrien brought up, remembering how everyone was looking at them while he himself was appalled by her forcing him to bend to her whim. But despite Adrien's critique, Chloé was still happy that she got her way and intended to keep it that way.

"Mr. Damocles, don't we need to be heading off to lunch?" Chloé pointed out, taking the opportunity to prevent anything happening to fix the chaos she had caused. "And aren't you paying the photographer by the hour?" the blonde brat added, making the principal sweet a bit at the mention of losing more money.

"Why yes!" Mr. Damocles confirmed, now all the more eager to wrap up the photos. "No time to retake, class move along, hurry up!" the principal hastily announced, all while Chloé smiled at her handy work.

"Ok, lunch break!" Vincent exclaimed, he himself wanted a break too.

With everyone now heading off to lunch, Marinette already texting Jim that she had to miss their call to help Juleka out, Rose had decided to check the last place Juleka went. This led to her heading over to the locker rooms and heading towards the girls bathroom.

"Juleka? Juleka! Jule-" Rose called out as she neared the bathroom, only to hear someone crying in a stall. Opening the door, she was shocked to find that the stall that was the source of the crying was not only the only one closed, but also blocked by a chair. "Poor sweet Juleka!" the pixie-haired girl gasped as she ran to the stall and pulled the chair out of the way and opened the door, causing a distraught Juleka to stand up from sitting on the toilet.

"I missed the photo. Didn't I?" Juleka asked with a sniffle, sadness lacing her voice.

"Yeah, another one of Chloé's mean tricks!" Rose confirmed, feeling so sorry for her best friend.

"Why should I expect it to be any different? Nobody ever hears me. Or see me." Juleka moped as she walked out of the stall and passed by Rose, this latest photo incident being the straw to break the camel's back. "I'm invisible. Even in photos." the purple streak-haired girl sadly concluded, looking down at the ground in her somber mood.

"Don't say that Juleka! It's not true!" Rose protested, trying to cheer her up.

"Forget it. As long as Chloé's in the picture, she'll find a way to keep me out of it." Juleka snapped, not wanting to be given any more false hope before running to the bathroom door.

"No, wait Juleka!" Rose cried out in an attempt to get Juleka to stop, which worked somewhat when she stopped at the door.

"Really Rose, forget it." Juleka said to her friend, turning to look at her as she spoke. "Forget me." the dark-clothed girl finished before she ran away, a pursuing Rose just missing her at the door when she tried to comfort her. In her despair, Juleka had run away from the school entirely, and had made it all the way to the park next to Marinette's house before she sat herself onto a park bench to continue her crying in solitude.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deep below the city, Hawkmoth's lair window opened up as he sensed Juleka's negative emotions, disturbing the resting butterflies to start fluttering around the observatory-like space.

"Poor girl, feeling so lonely and ignored. How terrible it must be to feel you don't even exist." Hawkmoth observed to himself before he held out his hand for one of the butterflies to land on it. "Come here my little friend." the resident supervillian cooed to the butterfly approaching him, soon transforming it into an Akuma and allowing it to flutter free from his grasp after its transformation.

"Fly my vile akuma and give this transparent soul a voice and a vision!" Hawkmoth exclaimed as he watched the akuma flutter through the lair window, targeting a distraught Juleka.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back over at Collège Françoise Dupont, Rose had met back up with Alya and Marinette, the two girls sitting on a bench near the locker rooms as they waited to find out what happened. Needless to say, when they saw Juleka running out of the locker rooms and Rose's distraught face, they had a pretty good idea of what had happened.

"Oh, Juleka was locked in the bathroom! She really does have the 'class photo jinx'!" Rose whined as she sat down at the end of the bench Marinette and Alya were occupying, placing her head in her hands as her elbows rested on her knees.

"Of course I should've known Chloé was behind this!" Marinette exclaimed from her spot next to Rose, now having her suspicions confirmed. "We're gonna have to break this curse, Rose!" the designer proclaimed, standing up from the bench as she spoke.

"We can ask the photographer." Rose supplied as she stood up from the bench herself, hoping to pitch a solution.

"There's no point, he wouldn't want to!" Marinette pointed out, knowing that the photographer was only here so long as he was paid to be. "Unless..." the pigtailed girl trailed off, the gears in her head working overtime in thinking of the perfect answer to this problem.

"Unless, what?" Alya asked as she followed Marinette and Rose's example and stood up from the bench too, a little worried about Marinette's answer.

"If the photo disappeared, the principal would have no choice but ask the photographer to shoot another one. With Juleka in it this time!" Marinette revealed, announcing her idea to the two girls with her and alleviating some of Alya's worries of her plan being convoluted.

"You're a genius, Marinette!" Rose cheered. "But why would the photo just disappear?" the pink-clothed girl questioned, not realizing the subtext of what Marinette was suggesting.

"You find Juleka, I'll take care of the rest!" Marinette said to Rose, not having a good way to explain the details of her plan that would avoid 'corrupting' the most innocent girl in their class. But while Rose went off to find her best friend, Marinette and Alya had failed to notice Chloé had been eavesdropping on their conversation with Sabirna as they hid around a nearby corner.

"She's not ruining my perfect photo with Adrien!" Chloé growled in fury, not wanting to be defied by Marinette yet again whilst being delusional of how bad the photo actually looked. But regardless of what's real and what's not, Chloé then turned to Sabrina with a glare. "Think of something, fast!" the heiress demanded Sabrina, the poor girl quickly nodding in agreement in order to please Chloé. One way or another, the blonde would get her way.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over at the park, Juleka was still sulking to herself on the bench she found when the akuma finally arrived at her location. When it did, the corrupted bug wasted no time in flying into Juleka's wrist mirror, infecting it and establishing the psychic link between her and Hawkmoth.

"Reflekta, I am Hawkmoth." said the sadistically obsessed psychopath as he greeted his latest victim. "From now on you will be the only one people see! No one will ever ignore you again!" Hawkmoth proclaimed, making his offer to Juleka to bring her to his cause.

"However, you must do me a favor in return, when the time comes." the resident supervillian brought up, pointing out that these powers being given were for free.

"Yes, Hawkmoth." Juleka purred in sadistic joy, agreeing to his offer as she stood up from the bench and transformed into Reflekta. Once she was fully transformed, the newly dubbed Reflekta opened her wrist mirror and looked at her reflection with a smile before twirling around with a giggle and heading back towards the school to begin her reign of terror.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While Relekta was making her way back to the school, Marinette and Tikki had started to carry out the girl's plan by breaking into the Principal's office to delete the photo. But needless to say that while Marinette was keeping an eye on the office door from the staircase leading to the Library, Tikki didn't like the plan her holder had in mind.

"It looks like all the material stays in the Principal's office during lunch break. This will make it easy to get the photographer's camera and delete the photo." Marinette observed from her vantage point, eager to get her plan underway.

"I refuse to be a part of this!" Tikki protested as she poked her head from Marinette's purse, not liking what Marinette was up to.

"There's no time! We have to break Juleka's class photo jinx before the photographer leaves the school!" Marinette argued with her kwami, only to see Mr. Damocles and Vincent leave the office, giving her the chance to climb down the stairs and enter the room herself.

"There must be another way, Marinette!" Tikki once again spoke up, this time flying out of Marinette's purse to float next to her when her holder reached for the door handle.

But Marinette ignores her and enters the principal's office, Tikki following behind her. However, both were unaware of a smirking Chloé seeing Marinette from across the balcony above the courtyard and filming the break-in with her phone. Nevertheless, Marinette wasted no time in looking for the camera, soon seeing it sitting on Mr. Damocles's desk before she grabbed it and started going through the photo to find the one of her class. Her good luck came to a crashing halt, however, when she heard footsteps approaching the office, making Marinette abandon the camera and hide under the desk just seconds before Chloé walked into the room with Sabrina. With her way out blocked by the two girls, Marinette was trapped.

"I knew this wasn't a good idea!" Tikki quietly bragged as she floated next to her holder, prompting Marinette to timidly pout at her slip-up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Down in the school grounds, the students and teachers were milling about whilst enjoying their lunch break. But it all came to a sudden stop when Reflekta had finally arrived and appeared before them in the center of the courtyard.

"Hello!" Reflekta greeted the masses, causing them all to become frightened by her presence.

"What? Who-who are you?" Mr. Damocles stammered out, feeling frightened by the akuma in front of him.

"Nobody has ever noticed me! But those days are over! Because from now on, everybody will notice me because everyone will look like me!" Reflekta proclaimed, suddenly giving the students a good idea of who had been akumatized. "Time to get a new look!" the fuchsia-colored akuma exclaimed as she aimed her mirror at Principal Damocles and Vincent, transforming them into duplicates of herself before they had the chance to even run away.

"Soon there will be nothing but Reflektas everywhere!" Reflekta announced before she continued to transform people, sending everyone into a panicking retreat from her. "No need to panic! Who doesn't love an extreme makeover?" the akuma rhetorically questioned, now walking around the school and transforming more and more of the occupants into copies of herself. But her spree of transforming people was soon interrupted when she saw people trying to leave.

"Nobody leaves here!" Reflekta screamed before she blocked the entrance with lockers, trapping everyone without powers inside the school. "Soon all of Paris will look like me, including Miss Chloé Bourgeois!" the fuchsia colored akuma proclaimed after she jumped up to the highest point of the school, laughing evilly as she looked down at the quivering students hiding in the school. As she made her proclamation, Hawkmoth couldn't help but take great joy in how much chaos his latest akuma was causing as he kept watching from his lair.

"Beautiful. Simply beautiful!" Hawkmoth praised Reflekta from the psychic link between them. "It won't be long before Ladybug and Chat Noir show up for a face off with you at this rate!" the resident supervillain exclaimed, almost feeling giddy at the prospect before cutting off the link and leaving Reflekta to her own devices once again.

"Chloé Bourgeois? Have you seen Chloé Bourgeois?" Reflekta interrogated more students as she walked along the balcony, turning them into more copies of herself as she did.

Unbeknownst to Reflekta however, Adrien, who had been in the bathroom when the chaos had started, had just exited the room and found the locker area filled with miserable copies of Reflekta. At the sight of them, Adiren immediately knew that a new akuma had arisen and went back into the bathroom, crouching down by the sinks to make sure no one would see him transform into his alter ego.

"Time to transform." Adrien exclaimed when he opened his overshirt to let Plagg fly out into the air in front of him, pulling out his runestone necklace and clasping his hand over it to activate his Chat Noir disguise. Once the disguise had taken full effect, he finally had the chance to say... "Plagg, claws out!" the boy proclaimed, transforming into Chat Noir before he went off to battle against the latest akuma.

Making his way out of the bathroom and locker area while making sure no one saw him leaving, Chat Noir then ran to the school's main entrance to break it open and start evacuating the building. Unfortunately for the feline, when he crouched himself under a set of stairs leading to the balcony, he was surprised to see the exit was...

"It's blocked!" Chat Noir noted in a quiet voice, a little frustrated that evacuating the people might be a bit harder than he initially thought.

"Yo! Check it out! Chat Noir is gonna save us!" a voice behind Chat Noir cried out, startling him and alerting Reflekta of his presence.

"Shh!" Chat Noir harshly said to the person behind him. But it was too late, Reflekta spotted him and attempted to shoot him with her ray. Thankfully for the feline, he was quick enough to leap out of the way and pounce into the open, which only made things worse for him. "Okay, change of plan. The hero in black muttered to himself before needing to dodge Reflekta's ray again as she rapidly fired at him. As he did, Chat Noir managed to leap onto one of the hanging basketball goals and grabbed the hoop before jumping at Refleka on the balcony, tying her up with it. With Reflekta incapacitated for the moment, Chat Noir jumped back down to the ground floor and ran to unlock the door, leaving the akuma struggling to free herself.

"Help us Chat Noir! I don't know how much longer I can stand being in this body!" Reflekta Copy Ivan pleaded to Chat Noir when the hero reached the blocked door, calling out to him from his hiding spot in the boiler room entryway. Hearing the desperation in Ivan's voice, Chat Noir was quick to call on his...

"Cataclysm!" Chat Noir yelled, summoning his special power. But just when he attempted to use it, Reflekta had freed herself and jumped down from the balcony to have a better chance at catching Chat Noir off guard before blasting him with her ray, transforming him into a Reflekta copy too..

"Much better! I hate cats!" Relfekta cheered from the center of the courtyard, drawing Chat Noir's attention onto her.

"Cataclysm!" Chat Noir called out again, hoping to undo her powers on him. But nothing happened. "What!?" the feline hero uttered in shock when seeing his hand not surrounded by the familiar power, quickly looking at his hand to see what the problem was. When he did, his blood went cold when she saw...

"My ring!! My Miraculous! It's gone!" Chat Noir exclaimed with dread, now realizing that when Reflekta had transformed him it didn't leave behind his Miraculous for him to use. But as Reflekta smirked at the declawed feline, Hawkmoth had decided to step in when hearing what had happened.

"His Miraculous! You should've taken it before you transformed him!" Hawkmoth berated his latest akuma, not at all happy with how careless she had been in not retrieving it before using her powers on Chat Noir. But to be fair, he hadn't told Reflekta to make sure to grab the ring before using her powers, so Hawkmoth was partly at fault too.

"Has anyone ever told you you're really annoying?" Reflekta countered, deciding to act snarky with the critique on her performance. Needless to say, her remark had left Hawkmoth miffed.

'Since when did people start thinking that I am one to be mocked?' Hawkmoth questioned in his thoughts, quickly shaking his head to rid himself of the thought and refocus himself onto the task at hand. "Just make sure you get Ladybugs Miraculous before you transform her! And find a way to get Chat Noir's after!" the resident supervillian exclaimed from his end of the link.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it!" Reflekta assured her benefactor, the psychic link cutting off as she let out another evil laugh. "WHERE IS CHLOE BOURGEOIS?!?" the akuma demanded, her voice booming through the school as reaching the majority of the building's occupants.
