adrien's birthday party was up, and marinette made sure to show him his gift herself this time.

she learned from adrien himself that there was a theme for the party—old fantasy clothes, or anything similar to the sort. ("marinette! my dad's finally allowing me to throw a party this weekend, um, chloe and rose and sabrina are helping me plan it. i hope you can come!")

good thing she had a pretty red dress kept at the back of her closet.

when she arrived with her gift, adrien saw her immediately (and vice versa, chloe, sabrina and rose seemed to have made the party for themselves, and not him...he should've had nino or alya plan it instead). he approached her and she tried to hand him the gift she made for him, a nervous smile on her face.

"you can put the gifts there, marinette, i'm really glad you came."

"o-okay, sure," she replied. "and it's no problem, hehe..."

adrien was ecstatic that she came.
