The Great Mouse Detective

Ladybug and Chat Noir believed as soon as they touched down they could return everything to normal, but they were wrong; Scotland Yard and Queen Mousonia awaited them at the base of Big Ben, protected by her real Royal Guard. They had apparently followed them to help them in their fight against Professor Ratigan, but as soon as they saw them near the faces of Big Ben they knew there was nothing they could do to help them.

Her Majesty and Inspector Bradstreet immediately asked Basil what had happened, but two Scotland Yard officers interrupted the conversation by reporting they had recovered Padraic Ratigan's body. Chat Noir looked worried at Ladybug, she reassured him and whispered in his ear as soon as she used her Miraculous Ladybug everything would return to normal, including reviving the professor and returning him to normal. That was enough to reassure the young man.

Basil thanked Her Majesty and Scotland Yard for their support and concern, but they should return to Baker Street to rest and tend to his and Ladybug's injuries as soon as possible. Seeing the conditions of the detective and the young woman, the queen immediately ordered everyone to be taken to Buckingham Palace and everyone be treated immediately. The detective and the young heroes refused, but Queen Mousonia didn't take no for an answer, so they were all escorted to Buckingham Palace. At that moment, one of the officers noticed Fidget's presence; They quickly tried to arrest him, but Ladybug and Basil prevented them, attesting the bat ultimately helped them in defeating Ratigan. Scotland Yard was not very convinced, they accepted the sentimonster went with Basil and the others claiming he would be in the custody of the three and if something came to do that winged rat with a peg-leg, the detective and the young heroes would be responsible. Basil, Ladybug and Chat Noir agreed without hesitation.

At Buckingham Palace they attended to everyone without giving them time to react. Basil and Ladybug received medical attention, under Dawson's supervision; With the young woman it was more work because her injuries were more serious than those of the detective. At the end they provided, not only Basil and Ladybug but the whole group, elegant outfits notifying them they would have dinner with Her Majesty and Inspector Bradstreet in order to inform them in detail about the case. In private, they all agreed what they would discuss with the queen and the inspector.

In this way, Ladybug and Chat Noir were introduced, they explained why they hid their identity and dressed, alluding to a ladybug and a black cat (the latter was difficult to explain and without mentioning the Miraculous at any time), Papillombre and his alliance with Ratigan (the inspector Bradstreet wanted to know even the smallest detail about him since he intended to investigate and arrest him, to which the youngsters invented they came from abroad and for that very reason they were in charge of that ¡criminal'), how they met and working together for the case. Queen Mousonia and Inspector Bradstreet were surprised; of all the crimes committed by Ratigan this had undoubtedly been the worst of all, especially since he obtained help from a 'foreign criminal'. Although Fidget helped Basil, Ladybug, and Chat Noir in the end thus ensuring the evil professor's defeat, Bradstreet said he still had to answer for crimes previously committed under Padraic Ratigan's orders, accusations the bat accepted and to which he would answer.

«Lástima que eso no sucederá, ya que en realidad es un sentimonstruo.» (Too bad that won't happen, since he's actually a sentimonster.) thought the coccinellid-rodent.

Dinner was over and the group was ready to return to Baker Street and rest; but again they were surprised by the queen who invited them to stay at Buckingham Palace since the next day at noon a ceremony would be held in honor of Basil, Dawson, Ladybug and Chat Noir as thanks for saving her and the kingdom of the clutches of Professor Ratigan. That surprised the four mice, especially the youngsters (especially the young woman).

The queen said goodbye to her guests and went to rest in her chambers, but not before asking her servants to take her guests to their rooms. Everyone's rooms were practically next to each other; Fidget, for obvious reasons, was the only one who had a couple of Royal Guards guarding his room. They all wished each other goodnight and went into their respective bedrooms; Before entering his room, Chat Noir tried to get Ladybug to give him a 'good night kiss' on the cheek, but all he got was a gentle pat and the young woman entered her room leaving her friend at the door with his head down. . Basil saw everything (his room was across from hers) and smirked at Ladybug's refusal and went into his room.

Everyone was sleeping peacefully in Buckingham Palace, there was nothing to worry about anymore; Ratigan was no more and tomorrow, after the ceremony, Ladybug would return everything to normal. That thought disturbed the sleep of one person in particular, Basil. The detective could not sleep, one would think it was because, despite having seen the corpse of his eternal enemy, he would guess the evil professor was somehow saved from his fatal end and would return to his old ways. But the reality was different; Basil was worried after noon Ladybug would be gone forever. Or rather him.

Tired of tossing and turning, the detective got out of bed, put on slippers and a robe, and left his room. He looked at the door in front of his room, hesitated for a second, but went to it and raised a hand to knock.

"It's too late for visitors, don't you think?"

Basil looked to his right to find Severus Snape leaning on his shoulder against the wall with his arms crossed, also in his robe and slippers, but without the bottle-green mask he, Basil, had lent him in Baker Street.

"I could tell you the same, young man." Basil answered, turning completely towards the boy.

Severus pushed himself away from the wall without uncrossing his arms.

"I had a feeling you couldn't sleep and would want to see Ladybug. With what little I know of her life, I know she would have stayed up all night too, but because of her injuries and exhaustion, she must have fallen asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow."

The detective let out a small laugh at the thought. He turned away from the door and returned to his own. He put a hand on the doorknob, but before opening it he returned his attention to Severus, to which the young man looked at him with an arched eyebrow.

"What?" The black amber asked harshly.

"I'm so impressed by the complete change in personality when you're a civilian and when you're a superhero. " the mouse replied. "Anyone would think you have a personality disorder or something like that, but what happens is you have great social pressure as a civilian, in addition to having suffered a lot so being Chat Noir you can be and do what you've always wanted."

His face didn't show it, but Severus was stunned. Really, that mouse honored his title of being the best detective in London, if not in the whole country; not even his best friends (Lily, Alex and Regulus Black) knew him one hundred percent. The only one who did was Plagg, but that was very obvious because the little kwami passing by was with him twenty-four/seven. The boy lowered his arms and looked at the detective with a smile; he really was nice when he wasn't acting like an arrogant know-it-all, now he understood why Ladybug admired him so much.

Speaking of his lady. Severus looked at his partner's door and his smile disappeared. Basil noticed the change in the boy's attitude, he stood next to him touching his shoulder making the black amber look at him.

"She's going to need you a lot to accept and move on when we're gone." Basil began. "I understand this has been uncomfortable for you because of how Ladybug feels about me..."

"Wow, wow, wow! What?" exclaimed the young man, turning away from the detective. "How does Ladybug have feelings for you?" Severus didn't like that at all. Had the young woman fallen in love with a fictional anthropomorphic character of a mouse? It was a nightmare!

Basil looked at the young man in confusion, although inside he was laughing because from the black amber's reaction he got an idea of what he was thinking. He looked 'serious' at that 'unexpected' reaction and explained:

"What isn't obvious? Admiration and respect. What you feel when you meet your idols. Why? Was I wrong and she really...?"

"No!" Severus yelled. He covered his mouth with both hands as he realized he screamed. He saw his lady's door out of the corner of his eye, thinking at any moment she would come out upset by the scandal. To his luck, nothing happened. He sighed and returned his attention to the detective. "I'm sorry I mistook what you said because it's not the first time I've heard that phrase and it ends up referring to romantic feelings." He ran a hand down his neck and laughed nervously.

"I see" «They are not a couple in the romantic sense, it shows she doesn't feel anything for him and even so he's too possessive and overprotective. That caused him problems with her and I would not be surprised if they have fought on a few occasions.»

Severus calmed down, cleared his throat and said.

"Well, We'd better go rest. tomorrow is an important day."

"That's right," Basil answered. He returned to his door and before entering looked over his shoulder at the boy. "Good night."

"Good night" Severus answered and went into his room.

Basil looked at Ladybug's door and entered his own. Neither of the two men realized the young woman had heard the entire conversation. Contrary to what Chat Noir said about falling asleep quickly because of her health, thinking about what will happen the next day didn't let her sleep and for the same reason she had the intention of going to see Basil; she stopped when she heard voices outside her door and her heart skipped a beat to discover the detective had had the same idea, what she didn't expect was Chat Noir was also in the hallway.

As soon as the conversation was over, Ladybug waited a bit to make sure there was no one in the hallway anymore. She left her room and went quickly to Basil's. She was about to knock on the door when it opened and the detective appeared, to the young woman's surprise he was smiling, as if he had known she would go see him. The confirmation was Basil stepped aside inviting her to enter his room, so the young woman entered quickly.

"I must wear you out for this silly irrational question, but are you really not a Legillimens? How did you know I was coming to see you?"

"Elementary, my dear Alex. Even though your room was dark, a little light from outside sneaked through the curtains you didn't close, making a shadow under the door."

"Impressive. You never miss any detail."

"As the most obvious of why are you still transformed into Ladybug?"

"Because if I go back to normal, the Lucky Charm will disappear and I won't be able to use the Miraculous Ladybug. A big advantage of being a mouse is there no limiter, the only thing worries me is I can't let Tikki out."

"I'm sure she understands that."

"Me too."

The two were silent for a moment. Ladybug sat on the bed mostly to do something; Basil immediately took a seat next to her and took her hand intertwining their fingers.

"I know it's very painful for you, but you must understand..."

The young woman let go of the detective's hand and hugged him tightly. She was being too childish to cling to him, but God! He was her favorite childhood character! Her idol! And, recently discovered, the person she loved most.

«¡Rayos, creo que sí estoy algo loca!» (Damn it, I think I am a little crazy!)

Almost immediately Basil returned the hug. After a few minutes, the detective broke the silence by asking the young woman to tell him about herself and the future. So they spent the whole night talking, not only her but also him. Seeing the sun begin to rise, Ladybug returned to her room before the others woke up.

The morning was quiet, the group spent it together. Noon came giving rise to the ceremony, the queen called Basil, Ladybug, Chat Noir and Dawson; she thanked and honored all four for their bravery and services in defeating Britain's most dangerous criminal. She asked the four to kneel, one of the queen's vassals approached her carrying four medals on a red pillow. The queen took them and one by one hung them on the necks of the brave mice; She finished and asked Ladybug and the men to stand up. She gave one last thank you speech and everyone in the main hall applauded.

=====MDMDMDMDMD=====

"To be thanked by the Queen herself!" Dawson said with a sigh. "Oh, how very thrilling, eh, Basil? Young friends?

"All in a day's work, Doctor. " Basil said, placing the newspaper note showing them and the Miraculous bearers kneeling before the queen being decorated on the mantelpiece.

They were all gathered at the detective's house on Baker Street and it was night.

"Oh Dr. Dawson, you were wonderful!" Olivia congratulated the doctor, to which the good-natured mouse laughed sadly. "You too, Ladybug and Chat Noir. It was the best adventure of my life!"

"It's not a big deal." replied the young man sadly, running his hand down his neck in embarrassment.

"It's not recommended for a little girl, but it also served to show what women are made of, don't you think?" Ladybug said the last bit with a wink at the little girl.

"Indeed. " Hiram said, pulling out his pocket watch and checking the time. "Oh my, we're late to catch our train." He put his watch away and walked towards the exit. "Come along, Olivia."

"Yes, father," Olivia answered. She walked over to Basil and put her arms around his waist, which was where she reached the detective. "Goodbye, Basil. I-I'll never forget you."

"Nor I you, Miss... " replied the detective, gently pushing the girl away. "Miss Flangerhanger."

At first Olivia was surprised that Basil kept saying her last name wrong, but immediately she understood the detective was only joking with her, so she shook her head smiling. And the confirmation of the joke was Dawson and the youngsters laughed. Olivia looked at the three of them.

"Whatever." said the doctor and the heroes in chorus.

"Goodbye, Dr. Dawson" said the girl with the good-natured mouse.

"Goodbye, my dear." Dawson said, giving her a gentle pat on the head.

Olivia approached the youngsters, who were leaning against the railing.

"Goodbye, Ladybug and Chat Noir." I'll never forget you."

The first to approach the girl was the young man, he knelt in front of her and the two embraced.

"We won't forget you either... Seillean and Sonas." said the feline-rodent, moving the girl away a little to look at her without breaking the hug.

Olivia laughed. She gave Chat Noir a kiss on the cheek, separated from him and hugged Ladybug.

"I'm going to miss you." the little girl said. "I love you."

"I'm going to miss you too." the young woman said. "And I love you too."

"Olivia!" Hiram called his daughter

"Coming!" the girl replied

Olivia and Ladybug let go. Olivia walked to the door, turned back, said one last goodbye, and left.

"Well, um..." Basil said, Ladybug had the impression that the detective wanted to cry, but he stopped himself. "Not a bad little girl, actually."

"Not at all." Dawson said.

"Of course not" Chat Noir added. "Well, Ladybug and I have to go too."

"Now?" The young woman asked her partner in surprise.

"My Lady, we cannot postpone the inevitable, you know that."

Ladybug looked at the two mice in front of her. She wanted to be with them a little longer, but in the morning, before the ceremony, Su-Han contacted them and pressured them to return everything to normal if they had already defeated the akumatized villain, and honestly she was already tired of the pressures of the Great Guardian. Reluctantly, she approached her friends, but Basil stopped her with a wave of his hand.

"It would be better to say goodbye outside." Basil pointed out. "I would honestly like to see how you use that second power of yours this time without the risk of dying."

"Okay." Ladybug said.

The four mice came out of 221½ and to the girl's surprise the Flavershams and Fidget were at the door.

"I thought you were still being held at Scotland Yard" the coccinellid-rodent said to the bat.

"In fact, it's where I should be," replied the sentimonster, "but it was better to disappear here and not at the station."

Ladybug and Chat Noir looked at their friends worriedly after Fidget blurted out that information, but to their astonishment and confusion, none of their friends were fazed by what the bat said.

"They know." Basil explained. "Before the ceremony, when you received the call from Su-Han, I took the opportunity to tell them the truth and explain it to them." The detective looked Ladybug straight in the eyes. "I knew at the time of saying goodbye it would be painful for you and therefore reveal the truth to us because they would be upset and would not want to listen to you. Although it was not as difficult as I imagined."

"Why do you say that?

"We knew it." Hiram replied. "Despite being locked up, I listened to Ratigan and Fidget's conversations from my prison, and in one of these they talked about the same thing Mr. Basil explained to us at Buckingham Palace."

The heroine looked away from the toymaker and looked incredulously at the girl, who smiled at her tenderly.

"We know we are not real, all this time we have only been a product of Papillombre's powers granted to Professor Ratigan." Olivia said without further ado.

"And I'm not the real Fidget." added the bat. "But a creature created by the Peacock Miraculous based on a person's emotions, known as sentimonster. To create me you need an electric blue feather, called amok, which is found in the bell along with the akuma. I realized you had it in the hot air balloon when you saved me from falling."

The Miraculous bearers were stunned, they didn't expect the mice and the bat to take well the news of what they really were. A throat clearing woke her from her trance. The young woman looked behind her discovering the one who did that was Chat Noir.

"Wake up, My Lady. The longer we delay, the bigger Su-Han's scolding will be."

"Fine."

They all went to the street. Ladybug took Ratigan's bell out of her pocket and took it with both hands to break it in half, but before doing so she looked up at her friends. She saw them one by one with the intention of remembering them with a smile. When she arrived with Basil, she saw the detective approached her with a smile.

"Before you go, I want to give you a couple of things." the detective told the young woman. The coccinellid-rodent looked at the mouse curiously. The detective took out something from inside his robe, it was his deerstalker and put it on Ladybug's head. "I hope you can at least keep that so you can remember me." said the mouse.

Ladybug felt her heart sink at the detective's words. She smiled gratefully for the gift.

"Thank you, Basil." the young woman thanked, adjusting her deerstalker better since it had something big left. "The second?"

"This"

Basil gently held Ladybug's face, brought his to hers and kissed her.

To say the young woman was in shock was an understatement. Of all they had lived through, this was never seen coming, especially since at the beginning of their adventure, the detective himself said this would never happen. To increase the shock little by little Ladybug answered the kiss.

Shock was etched on the faces of his friends. Dawson mumbled an «Oh my!» Olivia giggled and a dreamy look on her face, Fidget covered his face with his hands as it was an intimate moment and Hiram was just surprised. As for Chat Noir... he was in a complete trance watching Ladybug kiss Basil, well it was the detective who kissed her, but it was still a stab at his heart and ego.

Basil and Ladybug separated and rested their foreheads on each other's.

"I'm going to miss you so much." she said in a whisper. "Thank you so much for everything."

"Me too" said the detective, still whispering. "I also thank you for everything."

"Enough!" Basil and Ladybug separated, turning towards the source of the scream, it was Chat Noir. "This was too much!"

The young man lunged at the detective. The young woman yelled at her partner to stop, she even approached him, but the mouse stopped the coccinellid-rodent and went towards the feline-rodent. Chat Noir raised a fist ready to strike at Basil, but he stopped the attack by grabbing the young man's wrist. The detective leaned close to the annoying hero's ear; whatever he said to him managed to make Chat Noir's anger go away. The young man looked stupefied at the detective, to which he only smiled knowingly and shook his hand by way of farewell.

"It was a pleasure meeting you and working with you." Basil said goodbye.

"Uh... yeah. Likewise." Chat Noir replied vaguely.

"For the love of...! Are you mad or what?" Ladybug walked towards them and gave her partner an annoyed look. "What have I told you about those irrational fits of jealousy? Agh! You are a great... AGH!"

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry."

"We'll discuss this later."

Chat Noir's ears paled, when Ladybug said that (even using her Mexican slang) it was because he was in BIG trouble. After her anger, the heroine took Ratigan's bell in her hands again, she was about to break it when hands rested on hers, she didn't need to look up to realize it was Basil, apparently he would help her break the akumatized object in order to avoid doubts. So between the two of them they broke the bell and saw a dark butterfly (akuma) and an electric blue feather (amok) come out of it.

"Do it." said Basil, encouraging the young woman.

Trying to hold back tears, she took out her yoyo.

"The game's afoot, little akuma and amok." Ladybug said. She opened her yoyo and spun it around. "Je vous libère du mal!" She threw it and caught the butterfly and the feather. "Catch!"

Before opening her yoyo she looked at Fidget. The bat gave her a nod encouraging her to do so. That had to happen when they had all become good friends."

"Goodbye Fidget."

"Goodbye... everybody."

The heroine opened the yoyo and lifted it at the moment an intense white light came out of its interior along with a white butterfly and a white feather of normal size.

"Goodbye butterfly and feather."

Fidget was covered in black and electric blue energy. When it disappeared, the bat did too. Basil, Dawson, and the Flavershams couldn't hide their amazement as Ratigan's henchman disappeared.

"Why didn't we disappear like Fidget did?" Olivia asked.

"Because what the akumatized villain creates disappears with my second power." Ladybug replied. From her pocket she took out the wrench. She looked at the tool and then at her mouse friends. This was the real hard part, because officially everything would be back to normal and Basil and the others would finally disappear. She couldn't wait any longer and the tears came out.E

"No longer postpone the inevitable." Basil said, wiping away unruly tears. "Let us go."

Ladybug wiped away her tears with her free hand, but they kept coming. She took a few steps away from Basil, looking into his eyes.

"Goodbye, Basil."

"Goodbye... Ladybug." The detective would have liked to call her by her name one last time, but with Chat Noir present it was not possible.

The heroine took a deep breath to give herself courage and finally said the words she never thought she was afraid to say.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" she exclaimed, tossing the wrench into the air.

It's bright and thousands of ladybugs appeared, returning everything to normal. The city went from Victorian London to London more than a decade after the end of the 20th century. The citizens who were transformed into mice turned back into humans. Basil and the others watched in fascination as thousands of magical ladybugs transformed the city. Ladybug kept crying and didn't take her eyes off the detective. The mouse noticed and looked at the coccinellid-rodent with a smile as he opened his arms. The young woman understood immediately and ran into his arms.

Basil and Ladybug hugged one last time. The detective whispered a few words into the young woman's ear causing her to widen her eyes and look at him in amazement.

"Basil."

The detective smiled. The young woman hugged him tighter as more tears came out. The magical ladybugs have finally arrived in Baker Street. 221B and 221½ disappeared as did Dr. David Q. Dawson. Hiram and Olivia Flaversham...and Basil of Baker Street.

Ladybug and Chat Noir returned to normal. The feline checked his body excitedly discovering he was no longer a mouse but a human wearing a heroic black cat suit, he was even happy to see the bell on his suit again! And the best thing is he had five fingers again instead of four.

"Yes! We're back to normal, My Lady!" exclaimed the hero excitedly, but received no answer. He looked at his partner and saw she was hugging herself while listening to her cry. "Ladybug?"

He slowly walked over to her and touched her shoulder. The young woman looked up meeting the green felines of her partner; She did it, they were back to normal and her friends were gone forever.

"You still have something to remind them." said the young man to encourage his friend, "and I'm not talking about the movie."

"Then?"

"This"

The feline moved what the coccinellid had on her head. Ladybug immediately understood, she took it off and more tears came out as a smile appeared on her face. He was able to keep Basil's deerstalker. She hugged it lovingly as she promised herself to take care of it like a treasure. She looked up and a giggle escaped the girl's lips; Where 221B and 221½ used to be, there was a building with a sign announcing:

Coming soon

The Sherlock Holmes Museum

Ladybug moved her foot and it hit something making it click. The heroes looked down to find Ratigan's bell repaired.... Wait a minute, Professor Ratigan! The heroine put on the deerstalker, picked up the bell, and the two of them quickly went all over the city in search of the akuma's victim. The last time they saw him was in Big Ben, but at that moment the professor's 'corpse' had been taken away by Scotland Yard, so they immediately went to the place. To their good luck they found the young man, who to their astonishment and horror had regained consciousness in the morgue and was now talking to Lieutenant Rogers about what he was doing there.

"We can explain... Professor Padraic Ratigan." Ladybug said.

The lieutenant and the young man turned towards the door of the station meeting with the London heroes.

"Ladybug! Chat Noir!" The young man exclaimed excitedly, then looked at the young woman in confusion. "Professor Padraic Ratigan? Did you see the movie?"

"My Lady didn't just see it." Chat Noir answered. "But we both live it."

The Miraculous bearers explained to the young man what had happened. He could not stand his astonishment. Papillombre transformed him into the Napoleon of Crime and he had fought not only against the heroes of London but also with Basil of Baker Street and Dr. David Q. Dawson !

"I can't believe it! That must have been the best thing ever happened to me BUT I DON'T REMEMBER IT!"

"Not only was it awesome, despite having been the work of Papillombre, but you honored Ratigan, you really became The World's Greatest Criminal Mind.

The young man looked excitedly at the heroine, she had used the name of the villain's song to describe him! Ladybug returned his bell to the young man, she and Chat Noir said goodbye to him and left Scotland Yard; they had to find Su-Han and report to him, but first they had to feed their kwamis.

=====================MDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMD======================

"Perhaps you have emerged victorious as Sherlock Holmes did in The Final Problem, Ladybug." said Papillombre menacingly. "But one day you will face a true Napoleon of Crime and believe me, not even the most famous detective will be able to save you!" he sentenced and the window of his lair closed, plunging him into darkness.

Ladybug and Chat Noir found Su-Han and Rena Rouge at Big Ben. The young woman looked at the clock and a shiver ran through her body as she remembered less than twenty-four ago she almost died in the final battle of The Great Mouse Detective taking Basil's place to protect him.

«La batalla final es mi escena favorita, pero con todo lo que pasó nunca más podré verla de la misma manera.» (The final battle is my favorite scene, but with everything happened I'll never be able to see it the same way again.)

"Is something wrong, Ladybug?" Rena Rouge asked worriedly.

Before the heroine could answer her friend, Su-Han demanded the heroes tell them everything happened on their mission without omitting any details. Ladybug and Chat Noir looked at each other uncomfortably, maybe one part or another could omit it since it was too personal and had nothing to do with the case.

They told the Grand Guardian and Rena Rouge most of the adventure was the children's movie had just come out, The Great Mouse Detective, and they had better go see it so they could see firsthand what happened. Of course, they told them the parts obviously did not correspond to the film: The loan of the Miraculous to the three mice, Oxford and Hogwarts. Su-Han freaked out when he heard the part about entrusting the Miraculouses to some of Papillombre's creations, but that annoyance disappeared when Ladybug and Chat Noir explained to them their mouse friends were granted with the power of the Magical Charm made them safe from the control of Papillombre and the villain.

After explaining everything, and enduring Su-Han's sermon, everyone returned to their homes. Rena Rouge had to take a different path than Ladybug to throw Cat Noir off the scent. Once home, the cousins reverted to their civilian identities and Alex, still keeping some cheese crumpets, multiplied them with the Gemini Charm and fed not only Tikki and Trixx but gave the other kwamis to taste.

"I still can't believe Papillombre made a Disney movie come to life." Lily commented.

"Neither I." Alex agreed, wiping the crumbs from the crumpets on her hands. "Despite the dangers and the fact everything was caused by Papillombre, this was the best adventure of my life!"

"Especially because Basil gave you his deerstalker." Tikki said between mouthfuls, " and kissed you goodbye."

"WHAT?!" Lily and the kwamis shouted

"TIKKI!"

The redhead went over the brunette demanding an explanation immediately. As soon as she reassured her cousin, Alex told her the personal parts Su-Han hadn't been told and Chat Noir didn't know either: Basil's enemy-in-love stance, the references to some future fan works, the silver ring with the emerald in the center (Alex smiled seeing the jewel, like the deerstalker, kept it) and the story behind it emphasizing Basil had entrusted it to her as a secret she should not tell anyone, but as she promised Lily not to hide anything else from her (as with Basil) she confided in her, to spend the night talking with the detective... and the kiss.

Lily and the kwamis looked at Alex in surprise and emotion. Despite being a Papillombre creation, the brunette experienced beautiful moments with her childhood idol. The only one who didn't look touched by the situation was Tikki, she was tense and was struggling to eat her cheese crumpet.

"Tikki, what's wrong with you?" Mulla asked.

"Nothing! Nothing's wrong" answered the kwami of creation, but she didn't convince anyone.

Alex looked at her kwami with concern. She walked over to her and gently cradled her in her hands.

"Tikki, I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing, Alex?"

"You're probably exhausted from spending twenty-four hours inside the earrings, not to mention you must have also felt and suffered Ratigan's attack."

"It's not because of that."

"Then? You know you can tell me anything."

The kwami of creation stepped down from her bearer's hands, placed the rest of the cheese crumpet on her bearer's desk, and looked at her grimly.

"Alex... the appearance of Basil and the others was not the work of Papillombre but yours."

"WHAT?!" exclaimed the humans and the kwamis

"¡A ver! ¡A ver! ¡A ver! (Let's see! Let's see! Let's see!) Explain yourself, how did I make Basil and the others appear? Papillombre was the one who created Ratigan and he turned London into a Victorian version and half the population into mice! How is...?"

"Do you remember at the toy store Fidget was surprised to see Basil and Dawson and said they shouldn't be there?" Alex nodded. "Well... when you opened the portal to go to 221B Baker Street without realizing it, you unleashed a bit of the power of creation by making 221½ and the characters appear."

»"Apparently Papillombre's intention was you and Chat Noir to take the places of Basil and Dawson, but by using the power of creation unconsciously you interfered with his power making part of the situation you control; I mean, when we were in Baker Street and the interaction with the three mice. That's why when you detransformed in the toy store and I touched them I felt my power of creation on them and that's why I immediately trusted them and that's why they already had the Magical Charm."

»"Olivia and her father were indeed created by Ratigan and therefore under his control, but the little girl's father lost it when you also unwittingly gave her the Magical Charm."

Silence reigned in the room. Lily and the kwamis were looking worriedly at Alex who was just standing there looking at Tikki, or so it seemed. Actually the young woman was wandering in her thoughts.

«Bueno, ahora tiene sentido porque algunos momentos de la aventura, literalmente, parecían sacados de Silver and Gold, la historia del pasado de Basil y Ratigan fuera el de The Professor's Portrait. Además de añadir las referencias a otras películas de Disney y de superhéroes. Y hablando de héroes, también eso explica porque el atuendo heroico de Basil era el de Masked Phantom.» (Well, now it makes sense because some moments of the adventure literally felt like something out of Silver and Gold , the story of Basil and Ratigan's past being The Professor's Portrait. In addition to adding references to other Disney and superhero movies. And speaking of heroes, that also explains why Basil's heroic outfit was of the Masked Phantom.)

Alex continued to meditate on the adventure she had just experienced along with the fanfiction she read and even the Cinema Club video, although it was only a little bit of that. But suddenly the Latina tensed and a slight blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Alex... are you okay?" Lily asked concerned.

«¡Virgencita! ¿Eso quiere decir que... los momentos íntimos que viví con Basil fueron cosa mía? Lo que significa que...» (Santa Maria! Does mean that... the intimate moments I had with Basil were my doing? Which means that...)

The times she fell on the detective or he on her came to her mind. The approaches and friction, the hugs, the secrets, the ring, the kisses... THE KISSES! If she had been a redhead neither Lily nor the kwamis would have known where Alex's face began because it was completely red. The last hug she shared with Basil and the last words he said to her came to the mind of the Latina:

I love you Alex

"HHOOEEEE!"

It was lucky Lily's family wasn't home, otherwise Messrs. Evans and Petunia would have run upstairs to find out what was going on.

Lily and the kwamis barely had time to react when Alex passed out. In time the redhead caught her cousin and accommodated her in her arms calling her name.

In truth, Alex could no longer watch The Great Mouse Detective or read Silver and Gold or The Professor's Portrait in the same way.

The brunette was not the only one who pondered the whole adventure. Severus was lying on his back on his bed at his uncle Gabriel Agreste's house (after enduring several hours of scolding and lecturing for having disappeared instead of going to his uncle, Nathalie or even his bodyguard as soon as he became a mouse). The black amber had a feeling his lady not only hide some things from Su-Han but also from him, but he supposed it was because there were personal things she experienced with the mouse detective, but it still didn't take away the annoyance and discomfort. That last thought made him remember Basil's last words to him when he tried to hit him.

Be an English gentleman to her and she may one day reciprocate your feelings. If you force her, the only thing you will achieve is to take her away from you.

"Who would have said you would accept love advice more from a cartoon than from the people around you who want to help you?"

"Don't bother, Plagg."

The kwami sat at his bearer's desk eating the last of the cheese crumpets. He finished the bite, took another and approached the boy.

"I say this because even a fictional character knows you are putting all four legs, and to the bottom, when flirting with Ladybug. What annoys women the most is you are pressured to do or feel things they don't and men feel entitled to treat them however they want. I mean, being an English gentleman like Basil suggested you behave yourself. Or in your case a "prince".

"Are you saying I go back to being Kuro Neko?"

"Just take on that graceful, gentle character instead of being a brute."

On other occasions Severus would have threatened Plagg to cut him out of cheese, but this time he admitted that he was right...as was Basil. The detective wouldn't have told him if it wasn't for him noticing how he behaved towards Ladybug and how she reacted.

«I must be very bad about love for a cartoon to give me advice.»

TWO DAYS LATER

Alex and Lily were on their way to the cinema. After the akuma attack, Mr. Agreste had become more overprotective of his nephew and for nothing in the world did he want to let him out until it was time to go to Diagon Alley for school shopping; so the cousins went to talk to Gabriel and almost begging him for permission to let Severus out, something that helped was Alex told the fashion designer she had also been turned into a mouse and Lily and her uncles were also afraid to let her out 'so fast'. Mr. Agreste thought about it for a few moments until he finally gave his permission for his nephew to go out with the girls, but on the condition Severus would go directly to the cinema and they would be under the supervision of the boy's bodyguard. The cousins looked happy.

"Now I remember, Lily." Alex said, standing a few meters from the cinema. "We didn't decide which movie to see.

"Well..." the redhead looked away from her cousin.

The brunette looked suspiciously at her cousin, she knew her perfectly enough to know when she was hiding something from her. They were going to ask her when they heard some screams calling them. The girls looked forward to find Severus waiting for them near the ticket booth. The girls excitedly approached the black amber.

"Sev! Have you been waiting for us for a long time?" Lily asked.

"Just about ten minutes, it's not much." he replied. "I bought the tickets for the movie."

"What?" exclaimed the cousins

"For what movie?" Alex asked curious.

"It's a surprise."

The cousins looked at each other suspiciously, Severus wasn't one to act that way unless it was for things he knew the cousins didn't like. That gave them an idea and the girls looked annoyed at the black amber.

"Severus Snape you better not have chosen a scary one." Lily said menacingly.

"What? Of course not!" the boy replied.

He hide his hands behind his back so they wouldn't see the tickets, that made the redhead even more furious, who tried to take the tickets from him to see which movie Severus chose without asking them. The black amber reached out as far as he could to keep them away from Lily, but she didn't budge. Taking advantage of the discussion between the childhood friends, Alex came up behind Severus and in a quick movement took the tickets from his hand.

"Alex, don't!" Severus exclaimed.

"Alex, what movie is it?!" Lily asked.

The brunette was still looking incredulously at the title of the movie on the tickets. Then she looked up at her friends, specifically the black amber.

"Severus... is this serious?" Alex asked showing the tickets in his hand

The aforementioned only looked away and ran his hand over his neck as a sign of nervousness. Lily went to her cousin and looked over her shoulder, gasping in amazement at the title of the movie.

"Sev... I can't believe it." Lily said, looking dumbfounded at her best friend. "But if you..."

"Yes, I know what I said!" the embarrassed exclaimed, approaching his friends. "It's just... after what happened with the last akuma I remembered when Alex told us about the movie and well..."

"Do you also suspect the akuma from two days ago was inspired by The Great Mouse Detective ?" The brunette asked excitedly.

-Yes."

"It can't be!" Lily said looking at her friends. "Sev, you beat me to the idea!"

The black amber and the Latina looked at each other because of the 'drama' of the redhead.

People walking down the street heard the conversation of the three friends; in those days all kinds of theories and speculations ran about what kind of akuma Papillombre created required London to return to its Victorian era and half of the population was transformed into mice; It never crossed their minds that it could just be the new Disney movie trying to turn a profit after last year's fiasco with The Black Cauldron.

Lily was going to scold her friends when suddenly she saw a large crowd approaching the cinema behind her friends.

"Uh... guys?" The redhead called, pointing to something behind them.

Alex and Severus turned and the three teenagers screamed as they saw the crowd, now running, heading towards the cinema. The three entered the cinema quickly, protecting themselves from the crazy crowd gathered at the box office.

"Guys!" what's going on outside? asked a boy who worked in the candy store and knew the three friends since they were frequent customers.

"Hi Trent." Lily said. "The thing is, people heard our assumptions that the Disney movie that just came out might be the one that inspired the akuma from a couple of days ago, and they freaked out."

"Really? Papillombre bringing a Disney movie to life?" The boy from the candy store asked laughing incredulously. "Seriously, that guy must be very desperate to defeat Labybug and Chat Noir."

"Apparently yes." Severus said.

"Whatever." Trent said, handing them two trays, one with snacks and one with drinks. "Here they are, the usual plus the new of the week."

"Thank you, Trent." the three friends thanked.

"And you'd better get into the room quickly because apparently we'll have a lot of work to do, too."

Severus and the girls looked at the entrance and again shouted as they saw the crowd almost running into the cinema and going straight to the candy store. The three of them rushed into the room and breathed a sigh of relief to see it empty, or at least until the lunatic people entered. They sat in the highest part of the room, practically under the projector and waited patiently for the performance to start. As guessed, the room gradually filled up, people even continued to enter during the announcements. Fortunately, they stopped entering just in time for the movie to start.

Throughout the performance, Alex and Severus had to control their emotions when they saw the movie since they had lived it themselves and seeing details they didn't experience made them think about what the other's participation in that scene would have been like. Unsurprisingly, there were a couple of scenes scared viewers (Fidget's sudden appearances onstage, for example), even though there were no infants in the room. Even Lily was leaning over Alex to ask her what they had done at that moment to which the Latina gave her a shish and told her she would discuss those details at home for safety and to enjoy the movie.

As they passed the pub scene, Severus became concerned the place looked seedy and it made him wonder what his lady had done? Because he was sure Basil wouldn't have allowed Ladybug to let her go with them to that horrible place. Reaching the part where they ended the trap, the black amber couldn't help but think this was a favorite scene of the heroine because how eccentric her plans were to defeat the villains.

They reached the end of the film and the brunette and the black amber tensed; it was the final battle. Severus would finally know what happened inside Big Ben while Alex got nervous because at the moment she saw the scene her body stiffened believing she was experiencing that fight again.

People got nervous, gasping, covering their eyes and screaming scared during the scene muttering worried if that happened to Ladybug and Chat Noir. The fear increased when the scene of Ratigan and Basil's fall from Big Ben passed; Silence fell in the room, only Olivia's cries could be heard on the screen, thus allowing the shrieks of the airship's propeller to be heard, which gradually grew louder, revealing Basil of Baker Street climbing in with the help of the propeller.

Everyone in the room shouted excitedly and there was one or another spectator who said 'Ladybug's Miraculous Power!' Alex subtly ran a hand down her neck in embarrassment; It could be said they were right in that aspect because the airship's propeller was badly damaged and if it weren't for the tool the Lucky Charm gave her, then she wouldn't be at the movies with her best friend and her platonic love.

The end of the film came; Basil, Dawson, and the Flavershams were in Baker Street saying goodbye. After Hiram and Olivia left, the doctor announced to the detective he should also leave because he needed to find a good place to live, suddenly someone knocked on the door and Dawson opened it revealing a young mouse asking for Basil.

In that part, Tikki and Plagg, who had been watching the movie also hidden among the clothes of their bearers, approached the Miraculous, touched them, looked at each other, extending a little hand towards the other allowing their powers to connect and create a vision for their bearers: Alex and Severus, or rather Ladybug and Chat Noir, were at 221½ Baker Street behind Dawson receiving Basil's new client.

"I-is this the home of the famous Basil of Baker Street?"

" Indeed it is, Miss." said Dawson, doffing his hat, then looking worriedly at the lady. "You look as if you're in some trouble."

"Oh! I am! I am!" she said between tears.

"Then, you've come to precisely the right place."

"Ah.! The detective appeared behind his three friends, hugging the doctor by the shoulders. Let me introduce my friends and trusted associates, Dr. Dawson and young Noir. And also with the pleasure of introducing you to my beloved Lady. With whom I do all my cases. Isn't that right, Doctor? Young friends?

"What? What?" Dawson was surprised by Basil's words. He turned to him and the detective held out a hand, which the doctor shook. "Oh, yes. Yes! By all means."

The adults let go and Basil held out his hand to Chat Noir, who accepted it first hesitantly, but then with a smile. When it was Ladybug's turn, Basil hugged the girl to which she immediately reciprocated. Once the introductions were over, the detective proceeded to talk about the case come to them.

Tikki and Plagg finished the vision. Alex and Severus subtly looked around in confusion at what they had seen. The film was ending with a narration from Dawson:

From that time on, Basil and I were a close team. And over the years, we had many cases together.

It's true they have faced all kinds of akumatized villains and strange situations, but never anything like this. Without a doubt, it was the best of their lives.

But I shall always look back on that first with the most fondness; my introduction to:

Basil of Baker Street

The Great Mouse Detective
