Chapter 4
"Girl, you did amazing!" Alya said as we grab our dance bags from our lockers and were walking to the girls locker room.
"Thanks." I felt a blush creeping onto my cheeks, I looked back to see the blonde haired, been eyed boy. He winked at me and gave me a thumbs up and I quickly looked away.
"You sure so us all up." Alix said as she walked by me and lightly punched me on the shoulder. I rolled my eyes, I saw everyone dance and they are amazing. I've never seen such precised and gracefully dance moves. I don't think I'll ever get to their level.
"That wasn't my plan, I didn't even want to dance in front of you guys." I said as we walked inside of the locker room. "Besides you're all WAY better then me!" I choose a stall. I set my bag on the floor and began striping.
"Obviously she was talking about me! I'm clearly the dancer here!" A shrill, loud, and annoying voice shot through the air. I didn't recognize the voice. It must be either Chloe or Sabrina. The voice gave me a headache.
"Actually I was talking about everyone. Everyone here is so talented and gifted, it's no wonder you guys were chosen to dance here." I said as I finished getting dressed. I heard someone huff and slam a door. I packed up my clothes and got out of the stall.
"Ah, thanks girl!" Alya said as she ran to give me a hug. Everyone was done dressing and were working on putting their hair up, except Rose and Alya. Since her hair was so short she didn't have to put it up, instead she was helping Alix with her bright pink hair. I chose a mirror and started putting my hair in a bun. Alya had her hair in a bun all day so sure didn't have to worry about it now.
"Here let me help you." She said. I thanked her. I love putting my hair in a bun, but it was hard to get it right and if rarely stayed in. A small, red head was working on her hair beside me.
"Hey, I'm Marinette! It's nice to meet you!" I said with a smile. She smiled back and mumbled something. I asked her to repeat herself since I couldn't hear her.
"I'm Sabrina, it's nice to meet you too." She seemed very shy and like she didn't want to talk.
"Sabrina! You're suppose to be doing my hair!" The same shrill and annoying voice yelled out. Sabrina quickly abandoned her own half finished hair and ran to the girl.
"There you're done." Alya said, securing my hair with bobbypins. I thanked her and turned around, wanting to see who was the source of the annoying yelling. It was a blonde haired girl who looked like she spent a whole day working on her makeup. Her clothes looked like they costed more than my dad's car.
"Hey, I'm..." I started before she interrupted me.
"Oh, you're the girl who was trying to show off in the cafeteria! Listen it was a cute try, but I don't think you have what it takes to make it at Miraculous school of dance." My faced was red, but not with embarrassment rather with anger at the thought that some people think it's was okay to talk to people like that.
"Well, thank you for your opinion." I answered sarcastically. Did she really think I cared about her opinion? Her eyes widened at my comment, she seemed surprised that someone was willing to talk back to her. She ran off, with Sabrina at her heel trying to talk to her. I rolled my eyes at her reaction, was she always this childish?
Everyone was staring at me as if I grew a second head. "What?"
"I can't believe you spoke to her like that!" Alya said. "What were you thinking!"
"I wasn't going to let someone talk to me like that!" I started putting on my shoes. What was their problem? Did they allow Chloe to talk to them like that?
"What Alya means is that Chloe's father runs this school. She could have you kicked out if she wanted." Mylene explained as we started walking to class.
"So you want me to just sit there and let her bully me?" That was not going to happen.
"We just want you to be smart when you're around Chloe." Alya said, knowing I wouldn't let someone like Chloe boss me around.
"Welcome students!" Miss. Tikki said as she welcomed us into the classroom, which was just a big dance room. We were ten minutes early, so we are the only ones here.
"Hello Miss Tikki!" We all said together. I put my bag against the wall with the others and stood besides Alya and Alix.
"You guys can go ahead and start stretching." I sat down on the floor and began stretching. Everyone began talking to each other. I glanced at Miss Tikki, wondering if she minded if we talked to each other. My old teachers hated when anyone tried talking, even if they were whispering. She didn't seem to mind and even contributed to some of the conversations.
Soon people began tickling in. "We'll wait a few more minutes for people to come in. Until then you may can work on stretching with the rest of the class." I counted the people, we had everyone, except of course Chloe.
Someone touched my shoulder, making me jump. It was the guy who played the music in the cafeteria. "You must be the new girl I'm Nino."
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Marinette." I introduced myself with a smile. People stopped talking and seemed interested in our conversation.
"This is Max, Kim, Adrien, Ivan, and Nathanael." Alya said, pointing out the five boys. They each smiled and waved to me. The blonde haired, green eyed boy was named Adrien. He was really cute! The others seemed really nice.
"Ms. Bourgeois, you're late." Ms. Tikki voice broke through our conversation. We all looked up to see Chloe in the doorway, looking very irritated.
"It's not my fault Ms.! Someone was being so rude to me that I had to take time to collect myself!" Her annoying, whinny voice brought back my headache. I rolled my eyes, sure I wasn't very nice to her but she was being rude to me first.
"Very well. Just make sure it doesn't happen again." Ms. Tikki looked like she didn't believe Chloe either.
"Find a area and begin your stretches. Everyone else take first position." Everyone stood up and walked to the wall with a pole on it. Chloe huffed, clearly not pleased at having to do any work.
"I believe everyone's heard and meet our new student, but I'll still like to introduce Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She just joined so please make her feel welcomed." Ms. Tikki walked around, watching and helping correct the students positions.
"Alright, everyone gather around." We all walked back into the middle of the room. "Today we are going to work on our plie and releve. Please make sure that you not to close to each other." I felt happy, I loved those moves and I'm good at plie and releve.
"Can I have someone come up and demonstrate them please." Instantly everyone's hand shot up, even mine. I didn't want to be picked, but I knew I would be if I didn't raise my hand. I've never understood why teachers pick someone who doesn't want to do it over someone who does. She picked Juleka demonstrate the moves. She did them really well, though Ms. Tikki did comment on some of it. I could hear Chloe snickers as Ms. Tikki pointed out some of the flaws in Juleka technic. It took every ounce of my self control to refrain from going over there and punching the lights out of her. Me and Chloe Bourgeois are not going to be getting along anytime soon.
Hey guys! I hope you like this chapter! Sorry if not everything is correct, I don't dance and I've never been to public school so some of the stuff may not be correct. If you notice something's not right please tell me. Please like, comment, and/or share!
