Tempermental Storms

Marinette was in her homeroom class. Well, it was technically also her language arts class, but at the moment, it was homeroom period. Alya sat next to her, enthusiastically showing Marinette the videos she'd managed to capture of Ladybug and Chat Noir fighting the monster Ivan had turned into by the name of Stoneheart. Alya wasn't even close to suspecting Marinette was Ladybug, which brought her some relief.

"Do you think they'll come back?!" Alya bubbled, once the last video she had was done.

"I mean... If they need to, I'm sure of it," Marinette said sheepishly.

"Then I think I'm gonna start a website about them!" Alya said, clicking out of her camera roll. "I mean, the videos got a lot of attention from Youtube and Instagram! I think I could make some good money doing this!"

"Maybe just... make a Youtube channel for it then? I think it'll be harder to find the website of some seventeen year old girl," Marinette suggested, trying to hide the blush of embarrassment creeping on her cheeks.

"Ohhhh, you're right!"

"Good morning everyone," Mrs. Bustier said, entering the room. "We have an official new student that will be joining us today."

As she said this a tall, blond haired boy entered the room looking incredibly out of place. Chloe lost her mind.

"ADRIEN!" Chloe flew up from her seat, "You're dad let you finally come?!"

"Y-yeah," the Adrien kid chuckled nervously, avoiding looking at the rest of the class. Chloe ran up and hugged him.

"AAH! I'm so happy for you!" she squealed. "I'm surprised!"

"M-me too, honestly."

"I figured we could all get to know each other by doing a welcoming exercise," Mrs. Bustier said kindly. "Not all of us know one another so why don't we play a game to get the ball rolling?"

"Ugh, a game?" A girl towards the back of the classroom scoffed.

"Ooh, what type of game?" an enthusiastic bubbly girl said with excitement.

"Well, I have some papers here, I figured we could have a snowball fight?"

"Huh?"

"Each of you will write down an interesting fact or two about yourselves on one of these blank pieces of papers," Mrs. Bustier explained, passing out the white sheets out to the class, "Then we're going to wad them up in a ball and when I say go, we all throw the papers around the room like it's a snowball fight. And when we're done, we'll each uncrumple the paper closest to us and read the message out loud. We can take turns guessing whose paper it is. So please... if it's a deep secret you don't want to share... don't write it down."

She returned to the front of the classroom. Mrs. Bustier was a short red haired woman with freckles sprinkling her rosy cheeks. She was fairly young, but had a passion for teaching already.

"Write down your fun self fact and wad up your paper when you're ready," Mrs. Bustier said, getting a paper of her own to write on.

Marinette frowned, not sure what to write on hers. She didn't have anything interesting about herself... other than her secret identity and knew found knowledge of the kwamis of course, but she couldn't write that for obvious reasons. She currently wore the miraculous earrings, meaning Tikki was her miniature self. She hid in Marinette's purse. It was best to have her around at all times, should an emergency arise.

"What are you gonna write?" Marinette asked Alya.

"Girl, I can't tell you," Alya teased. The knew blond kid took a seat directly in front of Marinette, sitting next to the punky kid named Nino. Marinette didn't even remember his name, despite Chloe talking about him constantly the past day. She looked back to her paper and picked something random to write down.

I have an identical cousin who lives in America.

It truly was random, but it was the best she could think of. Besides, if it was a game, the only way to win was if no one knew it was hers. Once everyone was done, Mrs. Bustier signaled for the fight to begin.

Chaos ensued.

Papers were flying in all directions. Someone made a paper airplane which was sharp and pointed in such a way that it could easily be aimed at any innocent person who would fall victim to it. Marinette got hit in the face a couple of times. It was an intense paper fight. But oddly enough, it was super fun.

"Alright, time!" Mrs. Bustier called, and everyone stopped throwing the papers. Marinette held a crumpled wad in her hand, while Alya managed to catch the now beaten airplane. "Would anyone like to read the paper they have first?"

"I'll go!" said the enthusiastic girl from before.
"Introduce yourself first, please," Mrs. Bustier instructed.

"Alright," the girl smiled. She was much too cheerful to be mentally sane. She wore a pink shirt with airy loose long sleeves. Her overalls were a light shade of sky blue, which matched her eyes quite nicely. And her strawberry blonde hair was in a short pixie cut. She looked quite like a fairy. "My name is Rose Lavillant and my paper..." she unfolded it, "... says, 'I've never dyed my hair'."

"Well that's lame. It's obviously..." Chloe said, eyeing the room with judgemental eyes, "her!" she pointed at a brunette girl in the back.

"Well I've never dyed my hair but that's still not my paper," the girl said with dead eyes. She obviously did not want to be there.

"Oh. Well I was still right though," Chloe grumbled.

"Marinette, is your hair dyed?" Alya asked.

"No," Marinette replied.

"Guys! It's Marinette!"

"That's not my paper!" Marinette said, "I used to bleach my hair in middle school!"

"Dang it!"

"Ugh, so many of us have dyed hair in here," said a boy, scanning the room with his eyes. "Nino?"

"Not my paper," Nino said.

"Chloe?!"

"Well it's not mine either!" Chloe scoffed.

"It's mine!" Alya finally revealed. "Everyone thinks I have highlights but this is just my natural hair!"

"That's lame," said the brunette in the back.

"Can I go now?" Alya asked. Mrs. Bustier nodded. "Alright, I'm Alya Cesaire and my paper-" she opened up the paper airplane- "says 'your'-" she faltered, holding back a stifled laugh, "it says 'your mom's gay'."

"Alright, who wrote that?!" Mrs. Bustier raised her voice.

"Kim! You're not funny!" said the boy sitting next to Kim.

"Oh calm down Max," Kim teased.

"Kim, do I need to have you step outside?" Mrs. Bustier said, narrowing her gaze.

"No ma'am," Kim smirked.

"I do not tolerate jokes like that in my class."
"Understood."

"It better not happen again," Mrs. Bustier warned.

"It won't," Kim snickered.

"Good. Now read your paper and introduce yourself."

"Alright, alright," Kim said, opening up his paper. He still was trying not to laugh at his own joke which wasn't even funny or clever. "I'm Le Chien Kim and this person wrote 'I've been to Africa seven times', which is interesting or whatever."

"Thank you Kim," Mrs. Bustier said, still sounding irritated with him.

"It's probably Adrien's," Sabrina stated.

"Ew, no." Chloe scoffed.

"It's not mine," Adrien said. Marinette had almost forgotten he was even in the room.

"Oh I'm sorry, was I not supposed to write something like that?" the brunette in the back said.

"Way to ruin the fun of guessing," a pink-haired girl rolled her eyes.

"You're fine, Lila. I don't know what you mean by that question but... you're fine." Mrs. Bustier sighed.

"You've really been to Africa that many times?" the red haired boy next to the brunette asked.

"Mhm," the girl nodded.

"That's so cool! Which countries?!" Rose asked.

"Oh uh..." the brunette hesitated, "honestly, it's been so long I've already forgotten. Probably like... Zambia I believe."

"Oh she's definitely lying," Marinette said under her breath.

"So is it my turn now?" the girl asked. Before getting an answer, she stood up and started her turn, "So my name is Lila Rossi and this paper says 'my favorite band is Slipknot'."

"Slipknot?" Marinette rose a brow.

"Oh my gosh I love that band!" the pink haired girl said, nearly jumping from her seat.

"What even is it? I've never heard of them," Alya wondered.

"You've never heard of Slipknot?!" the pink haired girl, a gothic girl in the back, as well as Ivan all said in unison.

"You guys have no taste," the pink haired girl stated.

"What's your favorite song?" Ivan asked her.

"Devil in I," she replied.

"Mines Psychosocial," Ivan said.

"Let's not get off track," Mrs. Bustier reminded.

"It's Ivan's, isn't it?" the pink haired girl said.

"Yup," Ivan answered. "So do I go now or..." Mrs. Bustier gave him an affirmative nod, "Ok um... I... uh..." he unfolded his paper, stammering over his words, "I'm I-Ivan Bruel and the paper I have says 'I have an identical cousin in London."

Marinette frowned. She could've sworn she wrote America, not London. How could she possibly even confuse the two? It was definitely hers though.

"I know whose it is!" Chloe exclaimed.

"Chloe don't-" Adrien tried to say.

"It's Adrien's!"

"Well thank you for that," Adrien grumbled. Marinette clamped her mouth shut. How could they both have coincidently written an almost identical message? "Yeah, it's mine. I guess I go now then," Adrien said and stood up, "Hi, I'm new here... well maybe a lot of you are... I dunno... um... I'm Adrien Agreste and the uh... paper... says 'I have'..." he frowned, "it says 'I have an identical cousin in America'?"

"Someone's a copycat," Chloe said, glaring at Marinette.

"Hey, I didn't know he was gonna write practically the same thing I did!" Marinette exclaimed.

"We both have identical cousins?" Adrien looked up at her.

"Y-yeah," Marinette stammered, "I'm sorry, I swear I didn't like- copy you or something. Her name's Bridget, she lives in North Carolina."

"That's pretty cool," Adrien smiled.

"Copycat," Chloe snarled.

"I suppose it's my turn," Marinette said with venom in her voice. She uncrumpled the paper in her hands, "I'm Marinette Dupan-Cheng and the paper says 'I have a twin brother'."

"Doesn't Juleka have a twin?" Ivan asked.

"Twin sister," Lila stated.

"Who's Juleka?" Chloe asked.

"We had the same class last year!" The goth girl by the name of Juleka stood up aggressively. "And actually Lila, I do have a twin brother."

"Oh, my bad," Lila said with no interest, "I swear you had a sister or something that dropped out last year. It's pathetic, really. I mean, dropping out is such a foolish thing to do."

"My brother dropped out for personal reasons that don't concern you." Juleka growled. She had long black hair with purple tips. She wore gothic clothing and dark makeup. She looked mean, but at the same time, like she was secretly a softy.

"Juleka, it's your turn." Mrs. Bustier sat down.

"O-oh..." Juleka blushed, social anxiety suddenly creeping up on her. She looked around the classroom, finding everyone had their eyes glued to her. "M-my... I-... W-well..." she fidgeted with the paper in her hands."

"You can do it," Rose encouraged. She was the one sitting next to Juleka.

"U-um..." Juleka ran her fingers through her hair nervously, "I'm Juleka Couffaine a-and..." her lip started to tremble. "Rose can you..." she forced the paper into Rose's hand.

"Oh- ok," Rose gave her a reassuring smile. She read the paper, "It says 'I can speak two languages'. That's super cool!"

"Adrien can speak three!" Chloe said proudly.

"Chloe, you don't need to say that." Adrien looked slightly uncomfortable.

"Really man?" Nino, the boy sitting next to Adrien, asked.

"Yeah, Chinese, French, and English," Adrien admitted.

"I'm horrible at Chinese," Marinette admitted, "even though my mom tried to raise me bilingually."

"Are your parent's Chinese?" Nino asked.

"My mom is," Marinette said.

"Cool. My whole family came from Spain."

"So the paper's yours then?" Alya asked.

"Oh- yeah." Nino admitted, "I can speak Spanish."

"¿Entonces puedes entenderme?" Alya said excitedly. Marinette nearly fell over in surprise.

"¿Tú hablas español también?" Nino grinned.

"Sí, yo tengo familia de Cuba," Alya replied.

"Wow," Mrs. Bustier said with delight on her face, "I'm surprised by how diverse our class is this year."

"Why? Just because we have two Spanish kids?" Chloe asked.

"Well, it's more than that. The way you all feel comfortable expressing yourself, where you've traveled, and who you are is just so much more different than my usual classes from the past. I hope you all can form a strong community with one another because of this."

"Alright, my turn," Nino said, standing up on his chair.

"Nino get down-" Mrs. Bustier tried to say.

"Hello people! I'm Nino Lahiffe, and this very lovely paper here says, 'I've built my own AI'."

"Oh, it's Max," the pink haired girl said.

"Yeah that one was obvious, huh?" the boy named Max said sheepishly. He continued the game, "So I'm Max Kante and my paper says 'I buy thrift store clothes and redesign them'."

"Ew," Chloe said.

"It's not gross!" the pink haired girl said, "Look at my pants!" She stood up in the aisle so that everyone could see the patchwork on her baggy jeans. There were a variety of colored patches, one of them even had a skull.

"Yeah, wearing people's old clothes? No thank you. It just screams poor people." Chloe looked away.

"Well I'm sorry my dad isn't the mayor of Paris!"

"Alix," Mrs. Bustier interjected, "We're running out of time and I do not want you to argue with each other."

"Ok, fine. So that was my paper, and yeah." Alix forcefully opened up the paper ball in her hands, nearly tearing it, "I'm Alix Kubdel and this paper says 'my eyes change color in the light'."

"Awww!" said Rose. Marinette looked around, trying to remember who'd already gone and who hadn't. Adrien, Rose, Juleka, Nino, Alya, Ivan, Alix, Max, Lila and herself had already had their papers read.

"Wait, is it you Chloe?" the girl sitting next to Chloe, Sabrina, asked.

"No," Chloe said, texting someone on her phone.

"Is it you?" Lila asked the boy sitting next to her. His face was almost as bright red as his own hair.

"Y-yeah." The boy avoided looking up at the class.

"So it's your turn then," Lila said.

"O-ok. I uh..." he looked at his paper. "I uh... I'm Nathaniel Kutzburg... uh... um... the paper says 'my mom is a famous fashion designer'."

"Oh, it's Chloe," Marinette said.

"Wow, way to ruin the fun of guessing." Chloe said, not even sparing Marinette a glance.

"You're one to talk!"

"Yeah whatever," Chloe stood up, "So like, I'm Chloe Bourgeois, but you all probably already knew that since I'm like, a celebrity or whatever. The paper says 'I have a pet mouse', but everyone knows it's hers so I don't know why I even bothered reading it." Chloe pointed to the girl behind her.

"Am I the last one then?" the girl asked. "Well, I'm Mylene Haprele and I think I have Sabrina's paper."

"Go ahead and read it," Mrs. Bustier said.

"Right, 'I've been scuba diving in Australia before'," Mylene read.

"Really?" Alya said curiously, "was it the Great Barrier Reef?"

"Mhm," Sabrina nodded, "It's a very pretty reef. I really enjoy traveling."

Mrs. Bustier stood back up, "Alright, now that we're done, I'm supposed to remind you all that your syllabuses for each class will need to be signed by tomorrow morning by a parent or guardian. If you already have your paper for any of my classes signed, you may hand them to me. Also, if you haven't noticed, we have an odd number in our class today," Mrs. Bustier said, "We were supposed to have another new student, but he will not be able to make it here for another month or so. So don't worry Ivan, you won't be sitting alone all year."

"Oh.." Ivan frowned.

"Why couldn't he just show up?" Chloe sneered.

"Personal reasons,"

"Well that's no excuse but whatever," Chloe said, returning her attention back to her phone.

"Man, Chloe doesn't have any regard for people that aren't herself," Alya whispered to Marinette.

"No kidding. I wonder if something happened to the kid?"

"What if it had something to do with Stoneheart?"

"I hope not," Marinette said.

***

Marinette packed the last of her things into her backpack before shutting the door of her already messy locker and heading home. The second day of school had passed and she believed that things were going well. Aside from the fact that she had to fight her classmate that turned into a giant stone monster on the first day, that is.

Tikki hid in her purse. She'd been complaining to Marinette all day about being stuffed into the purse with no space to roam at all, to which Marinette could only remind the kwami that it was her idea to begin with. Marinette lived across the street, so it didn't take her much time to get home. Her father had built their house upon a bakery, meaning that there were a few customers when Marinette got there. Her dad had the TV in the corner playing some game show it seemed, though Marinette could only faintly hear it.

"What's that?" Marinette asked, looking at the TV. She'd never seen the show before. Her mother hurried her behind the counter to assist with the customers.

"Just a show, sweety," she said. Marinette put her purse and backpack in the back room of the bakery before returning to the kitchen.

"Welcome to the finals of our kids plus competition-" the TV said.

Marinette directed her attention to the customer at hand. She knew the drill; take orders, give them what they want, run the cash register, don't disturb her dad in the back. She hoped Tikki wouldn't be too upset with her if she left her in the purse just a little longer.

"-winner will be announced as our brand new kids plus weather girl." The TV was fairly quiet so as to not be a distraction. "We started off with five thousand contestants from across Europe, but with the help of our audience, we boiled our players down to just these two amazing young ladies. So let's give a warm welcome to Aurore Bureal and Mire Cacke."
Marinette heard the shop bell ring. She looked up, preparing to greet the new customer, and found Alya striding in.

"Alya?" Marinette said as she packed an order, "What are you doing here?"

"I've got a huge scoop for you! And I was gonna tell you before you left school, but you busted out of there faster than I've seen anyone." Alya chuckled, waving her phone about as she approached the counter.

"About what?"

"Remember the monster from yesterday?"

"Uh... yeah?"

"I think it was Ivan," Alya whispered, "Because after that last video I filmed, the black cat dude rushed me away before the fight was over. But then I saw Ivan walking out of the stadium, and Stoneheart was gone!"

"Marinette? Who's that?" her mother asked, as she brought in a new trey of madeleines.

"Oh, this is Alya. She's in my class," Marinette replied.

"This is the moment we've been waiting for!" the TV interrupted, "The viewers' votes are in! And the new kids plus weather girl is.... Mire!"

"Marinette, can you turn that down?" her mother asked.

"Yes mom," Marinette said as she grabbed the TV remote.

"Hey, Mrs. Marinette's mom-"

"Cheng,"

"Yeah, Mrs. Cheng," Alya grinned, "Can I steal Marinette for a bit?"

"Well..." Marinette's mom looked at the one last customer she had, "I suppose so. But not for too long, I'll need help closing the bakery."

"Not a problem Mrs. Cheng!" Alya said, reaching over the counter and grabbing Marinette by the arm.

"Alya! Where are we going?!" Marinette asked as Alya dragged her around the counter and out the door.

"To discuss this further!"

"Stoneheart?"

"Yes Stoneheart! Come on, let's go to the park!" Alya said, tugging Marinette down the sidewalk.

"You're really interested in these superhero things, aren't you?" Marinette asked.

"Well duh!" Alya exclaimed, "My dream is now a reality! Look how many views those videos from yesterday got!" Alya said, showing Marinette her phone, "This is so exciting! I wonder if we should ask Ivan about it-"

"Well... maybe that's not a good idea."

"Or..." Alya grinned, "He's hiding some really cool superpowers! He can turn into a giant rock monster for crying out loud! How is that even possible?!"

"Hey is that... Adrien?" Marinette asked, pointing to the fountain in the center of the park.

"Oh yeah. He's probably doing a photoshoot," Alya remarked. "He is a model after all."

"I had no idea," Marinette said.

"Really?" Alya snorted, "His dad is literally Gabriel Agreste."

"HIS DAD IS WHO?!"

"Gabriel Agreste?"

"WHAT?! I LITERALLY ADORE GABRIEL AGRESTE!" Marinette exclaimed.

"I'm not big on fashion," Alya said, "Chloe's the reason I know about all that."

"Gabriel is my biggest inspiration! And you're telling me that's his DAD?!"

"Uh... yeah?"Alya held back a smile. Marinette looked at Adrien and suddenly everything became clear. She'd literally seen perfume ads with him in it, how did she not recognize him?! "What on earth..."

"What?"

"Look!"

Alya pointed to the sky where a girl hovered well above the park. She looked bitter and full of hate. In her hand was a closed umbrella. Her dress billowed out behind her waist, fading into purple storm clouds. Lightning flickered within the clouds. Her boots were tall and white, her hair tied into two long pigtails that were spiraling colors of white and black. And her skin was a pinkish purple. It could only be one thing...

"A supervillain!" Alya exclaimed.

The girl shot lightning from her umbrella, destroying a balloon stand. Civilians within the park began running for their lives.

"W-we should go!" Marinette said.

"No, no! I gotta stay here to catch Ladybug and Chat Noir!"

"Are you really sure that's a good idea?! It's not safe!" Marinette exclaimed.

"I'll be fine! They're bound to show up at any moment!" As she said this, the wind picked up, sweeping both the girls off their feet. Adrien and his photographer team were already fleeing the area, meanwhile this girl, looking utterly horrific, destroyed everything in a fit of pure rage.

"I-I-" Marinette thoughts were racing. She scrambled back onto her feet. She had to go get Tikki, she had to leave so that Ladybug may arrive. "Well I'm going! Please don't get hurt!"

"Wuss!"

"I'm not a wuss!"

"Then stay!"

"Not a chance!" Marinette said, turning on her heels and running. A brigade of ice erupted from the ground, throwing her off balance. She sprinted from the park, barely making it back to the Bakery in one piece.

"Marinette?" her mom said in surprise of Marinette's sudden arrival.

"I- I- uhh... bye!" Marinette rushed to grab her purse then raced up to her room. As soon as she opened the hatch door, Tikki came flying out.

"And this is exactly why you're supposed to take me everywhere!" Tikki said irritably.

"You already knew?"

"It's fairly obvious by how panicked you look. Transform already!" Tikki demanded.

"Alright, alright! Spots on!" Marinette whisper shouted. In a bright flash of pinkish light, she was in her black spotted red superhero hanfu. She hurried up to her balcony and jumped into the sky. She had absolutely no confidence in herself whatsoever, but her panic made her do what she believed to be unthinkable. She used her yoyo to swing herself over to the park as fast as she could, and sure enough, the temperamental villain was still there.

The villain was leaving the park by then, terrorizing anyone who dare get in her way.

"Hey ice queen, why don't you pick on someone your own temperature," said a familiar voice. Marinette, now Ladybug, looked up to see Chat Noir flying down from overhead. He landed gracefully on the metal fencing which encased the park closure.

"My name is Stormy Weather!" the girl barked.

"Listen, I'm feline pretty generous today, so cool down and we'll call it quits, kay?" Chat said with a cheesy smirk. The proclaimed Stormy Weather responded by summoning a powerful wind that was strong enough to blast Chat Noir back into the sky. Ladybug tossed her yoyo in the direction he must have landed and zipped off. Chat Noir lay in the middle of the road, flat on his back. He bore a dazed, already exhausted expression.

"I thought cats always land on their feet?" Ladybug remarked cleverly as she jumped down from the heavens.

"Yeah yeah, I had it covered..." Chat Noir said as she helped him up.

"We should be expecting lightning storms!" Stormy Weather had alighted herself on the solid ground just a short ways down the street. She raised her umbrella into the air, casting the skies into a devilish grey storm which soon swarmed the area. Lightning blasted directly in front of where Ladybug and Chat Noir stood. Before the next strike, Ladybug pulled Chat to the ground, getting as far from the area as possible. "Now I'm assuming you know why I'm here."

"Uhh... no, not really?" Chat said.

"Hawkmoth wants me to steal your miraculous. And by all means, I will!" Stormy Weather snarled, sending a blast of ice to coat the surface of the road, accompanied by a strong pull of wind. The wind was powerful enough to pick cars up off the ground, sending them crashing into one another. Their theft alarms blared loudly, making it all the more harder for Chat Noir and Ladybug to hear one another.

"Damn, what's her problem?" Chat asked.

"I can't hear you!" Ladybug exclaimed, trying to catch herself on solid ground. Everything was too slippery with the ice to do much of anything in order to protect herself. She went flying through the windshield of a car as a result.

"Ladybug!" Chat exclaimed with worry.

"I'm good!" Ladybug said with a muffled voice. The wind stopped, enabling her to crawl out of the car. She brushed the broken glass off herself. "Come on!" she swung her yoyo up at a rafter and launched herself elegantly into the air. She began spinning it behind her as she made her descent over Stormy Weather, preparing to strike. Chat followed suit.

"Oh piss off!" Stormy Weather grit, sending another burst of wind in their direction. They went flying back through the air, along with several cars and even a garbage can or two. Dodging the cars as they landed was hard enough, but Stormy Weather really just had it in her evil nature to make things a true struggle for them. The new ground where they'd landed was immediately covered in ice, leaving absolutely no friction between their feet and what they wished was a normal road.

"Where'd she go?!" Chat asked as the last car fell without smashing them.

"Where did WE go?!"

"Damn, she threw us pretty far," Chat remarked.

"GAH! Look out!" Ladybug shouted as a bus plummeted over them from the sky. Chat shoved Ladybug to the side of the road, just before the bus came crashing to the ground. There was a moment of soft silence, before the bus suddenly exploded, its engine catching aflame.

"Man, she's got some unresolved anger issues," Ladybug commented.

"Now I don't know what a miraculous is," the voice of Stormy Weather surrounded them, "but I'll figure it out, all you have to do is give it to me... Whatever it is." She arose from behind the flames of the bus.

"Not in a million years!" Chat grinned devilishly.

"Fine. I'll pry them off your cold dead bodies!" Stormy Weather sent a gush of wind as powerful as a hurricane straight for the two. They flew through the window of an empty shop, glass splintering across the floor. The lights were out, the shop was nearly entirely pitch black.

"Yo! I have night vision!" Chat Noir exclaimed with excitement.

"Lucky," Ladybug pouted, picking herself up off the ground.

"Crap!" Chat grabbed Ladybug, who at the moment, could hardly see a thing. He ran with her to the back of the shop–which appeared to be a thrift store–just as a rush of water came crashing through the already broken windows. It swept them off their feet, pinning them to the back door.

"We're trapped!" Ladybug said, spitting water out of her mouth.

"The party's over!" Stormy Weather cackled.
"Hold on..." Ladybug fumbled for her yoyo blindly. "L-Lucky charm!" a flash of light illuminated the flooded room for just a moment before something gently fell upon her head. "What is it-"

"It's a towel... or something," Chat said. Just then, the roof of the store ripped open. Good news, Ladybug could now see. Bad news, there was a literal cyclone consuming them. Hail the size of beach balls rained down from the sky, and in the center of it all was Stormy Weather.

"I have an idea!"

"Wait Chat-"

Chat Noir leapt up into the sky, avoiding the massive hail chunks. He landed on a billboard from the store directly next to the shop, summoning his cataclysm to destroy its base. It came toppling over, directly above Stormy Weather who promptly blasted a hole through it with her lightning. Ladybug was directly in the crash site of the billboard.

Quickly, she tossed her yoyo up to the girl of the sky, wrapping it around her ankle. She grabbed hold of a countertop, keeping herself and Stormy Weather anchored. The billboard crumpled to the ground, barely missing Ladybug but trapping her string beneath it.

Using this, Ladybug ran to the other end of the string and began pulling Stormy Weather back to earth. In retaliation, Stormy Weather struck lighting down upon Ladybug.

"Ladybug!"

"Chat Noir! Her umbrella!" Ladybug grit, pulling with all her strength–which was now magically enhanced. She was entirely unaware of her pain from the strike. Chat Noir seemingly understood, leaping through the air and ripping the umbrella from her hands. He whacked it against the countertop next to Ladybug and the umbrella snapped, releasing the akuma trapped inside.

Ladybug released her hold on Stormy Weather so that she may have access to her yoyo back. She tossed the yoyo at the akuma, magically capturing it. When she released it, the moth was pure and white.

"We did it! How's that for our second round?" Ladybug beamed.

"Oh my god!" Chat Noir dropped the broken umbrella and rushed to Ladybug.

"What?"

"D-don't freak out but-" Chat Noir was eyeing her collar bone area. Ladybug couldn't help but glance down.

What she saw horrified her.
