Book 2 - Black Tears That Stain Like Ink
Some Plagg and Tikki art because I kinda wanted to update their designs and it's been a while since I've drawn them. (I really rushed on Plagg's because I recently fucked my back up more than usual and sitting at my tablet actually killed me so that's why he looks like a disporportionate maggot)(My back issues are also the reason these are so painfully simple looking). I think I shall do Dusuu and Nooroo next because we got Plikki being the twisted lovers that can only run away from each other, and then Duroo being the fainted immortal lovers facing tragedy. Love it. Drama is so spice. (Bro the last time I did full bodies of all the kwamis I was using the blur tool for shading with black...)
"Powerful?! What do you mean powerful?! Like more so than normal?!" Nino asked. By now, Mullo had been wrangled and all the kwamis were gathered in the living room of the sanctuary.
"It means her user summoned her for the first time out of great emotion," Sass informed (god he was so annoying), "strong enough to break whatever limitations she put on them."
"This isn't good," Mullo fussed, "Orikko REALLY shouldn't have a user. It never ends well!"
"I remember the time she'd been sent with her user to northern Mongolia. That man who wielded the rooster nearly wiped out an entire civilization!" Kaalki exclaimed. It looked like she was about to explain the whole story around that but Sass cut her off.
"She tends to match with power hungry individuals," Sass said, "if that's what's happened here, we may end up dealing with someone far worse than Hawkmoth!"
Nino's stomach was churning. "Well, you can detect her presence now. We should find her before this new wielder of hers puts the same limitations on her that Hawkmoth did to Nooroo and Dusuu."
"I'll go get Claudie, we'll hunt them down," Kaalki said, already conjuring up a portal.
"Shouldn't more of us go? We don't know what we're dealing with!" Mullo said with urgency.
"Yeah! We could have a repeat of that man who called himself the Conqueror of Emperors!" Kaalkie added.
"That was an extreme case," Longg now joined in, one of the only kwamis still trying to keep a calm demeanor, "not likely to happen again, right Fluff."
Fluff was loving so fast while standing in place, she appeared to be phasing in and out of reality.
"Oh shit," Nino put his head in his hands, "what have I done?"
"It's not your fault, it was ours for losing sight of her," Pollen assured, tapping Nino gently on the shoulder.
"Kaalki, go!" Nino said, "hurry, before–" he glanced at Fluff who was still just... buzzing... creepily... "before it's too late."
After Kaalki left to go summon Neptune, the rest of the kwamis turned their attention to Fluff. She knew all. If shit was about to go down, she'd have the answers for them. Hell, she currently had a user! All the way in the future! She was living in so many realities at once, she had to be the smartest of all the kwamis! Too bad she'd practically gone entirely mad with time.
Nino cautiously placed a hand on her shoulder. It felt beyond strange. Millions of little sensations shot through his skin, but it didn't hurt. "Fluff?" he asked. She had the stupidest name of all the kwamis but Nino didn't dare point that out.
"Chris?" she asked, looking down at him.
"What?"
"What?"
"Chris?" she repeated.
"Chris is my brother," Nino said. "How did you–"
"Mr. Lapin," Fluff said, now looking around frantically, still buzzing, "Mr. Lapin, where is he?"
Nino had already figured out that in the future, his younger brother Chris would become Mr. Lapin. He didn't like the idea very much. But after enough hints were drops and rants of insanity as often Fluff was on the brink of losing her mind, it was obvious to him. Not that it mattered. Nino was forbidden from ever telling Chris about this, for obvious reasons.
"Somewhere with you in the future, currently looking for Fraay," Nino answered calmly.
"A-ah–" Fluff collapsed.
"Oh come on Fluff, now is not the time for a breakdown of insanity!" Stomp loudly complained and was promptly shushed by all the other kwamis.
"Fluff?" Nino crouched next to the kwami. Her rabbit ears were pinned flat against her back and she was still buzzing.
"I wanna go home," she whimpered.
Home. What did that even mean for the kwamis? Was she referring to the Paris sanctuary with Master Fu? Or did she consider the one they'd once had in London to be home? Possibly, she meant home from hundreds of years ago. Or even in the future! You couldn't exactly tell when it came to Fluff. The kwamis never got to securely just... Live with each other.
"Fluff–"
The front door burst open, and of all the people to be standing there, it was Plagg.
"Plagg?!" the kwamis exclaimed in unison. Suddenly, Fluff was no longer their biggest concern.
"I-I-" there were tears in Plagg's eyes. He instantly fell through the door, barely catching himself on the floor. He looked like he was going to pass out!
"Plagg!" The kwamis all exclaimed again. Nino didn't know Plagg very well. He'd met him once, maybe twice. He did know he was obnoxious as hell, but that was about it.
"D–d–" Plagg struggled over his words. The other kwamis helped him back up and brought him to the musty couch.
"What is it?" Pollen asked. Plagg still struggled to speak. "Just breathe, okay? Breathe, gather your thoughts..."
"AAAAAAAH!" Plagg screamed and buried his face in his hands. "No! No! No! No! No!"
"Plagg!" Sass barked, "what in heavens–"
"Dusuu cursed me again!" Plagg blurted out. He looked like he wanted to vomit over his words.
"What?!" the others exclaimed.
"But how is that even possible! Why would he do that?!" Pollen asked.
"I–" he couldn't get that sentence out so he tried again, "he–" still nothing, "I–"
"Spit it out!" Stomp demanded.
"I can't!" Plagg shouted, black tears now streaming down his face, "He's prevented me!"
"That damned trick!" Wayzz, who was usually quiet, outburst.
"What trick?" Nino asked.
"Dusuu has learned a lot more sorcery than the rest of us throughout the centuries. That sorcery may have ended up breaking his miraculous, actually," Wayzz explained, "one spell he's quite good at is the silencing spell. We never have any use for it, except for if someone catches our user's identity–" Wayzz froze, "you saw him."
Plagg couldn't even respond, not even with his expressions, but it was fairly obvious.
"You saw Dusuu!" Wayzz's eyes widened in alarm, "you actually saw him– You found him!"
Plagg could only stiffly sit there, giving no clue as to whether this information was correct or not. He opened his mouth but he couldn't even speak. The black tears would not cease.
"Impossible..." Wayzz ushered, "why would he silence you. Doesn't he want to be saved?!"
Plagg began to sob.
"Is there any loophole in the silencing curse?" Pollen asked, "Perhaps you can write it down?"
Already, Ziggy (goat kwami) was passing Plagg a pen and paper. Plagg eagerly took the pen but he could only hover it over the paper. Black tears blotted against the paper.
"He's thought of every loophole," Plagg forced out, "there's nothing I can do."
"Is there a way you can give us a hint to help us find him?!"
Plagg hid his face in his hands again, now dripping black tears like fat globs of ink through his fingers. "There's nothing... Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing–"
One hour earlier.
Plagg had a suspicion. He sensed something powerful in the Agreste house, but he just couldn't identify it. As soon as Adrien returned that evening, Plagg let the boy be. He had a lot to process right now, especially including that him breaking up with Kagami nearly got Ladybug and himself killed. Not to mention, breakups on their own were pretty tough so the poor boy needed some space.
Plagg was also a devious little shit.
He slipped Adrien's ring off the second the boy drifted off. Poor lad had started crying into his pillow, exhausting him enough he'd actually dozed. Plagg took on his full form and pocketed the ring. He looked down at Adrien sympathetically. He didn't have anything good to say to him that would help, not that it mattered seeing as Adrien was absolutely conked out.
"Goodnight kid," Plagg said. He glanced at the clock. Adrien finished fencing at 5pm, meaning that's when he broke up with Kagami. They got akumatized shortly after, and the fight lasted about an hour. Then, at around 7pm, Carapace unloaded his kwami trauma on them and straight up left. So now, it was 8pm, and Adrien was racked.
Plagg brushed his fingers fondly across Adrien's bangs. He smiled down at the boy. "It'll be alright." That's all he could say.
Plagg made his way for the door, coming up with a plan on the spot. If he could work out a human disguise, he could pretend to be a worker and investigate the house. But Plagg was actually shit with magic outside of his own. So... Plagg just hoped the house wasn't busy tonight.
It definitely wasn't safe to wander around fully as a kwami. So for extra measure, Plagg magically changed his clothes to mimic the house workers. With his... great disguise... Plagg ventured down the hall leading away from Adrien's room. He stuck his nose in the air as if somehow that would let him sniff out the power source he was detecting. It was very dormant. It had likely been here this whole time, whatever it was. And Plagg would have never noticed if he hadn't gotten bored out of his mind one day while Adrien was doing homework. The boredom led to Plagg tuning into all his senses for some mediation and suddenly that rush of power slapped him across the face. Still, Plagg had to strain himself just to feel it now.
"Hey! You– oh man you are tall..." said someone from behind. Plagg turned, the hair on the back of his neck rising. But it was just a worker. A young woman, nameless, just another face at the Agreste mansion. "Dinner prep! What are you doing out here?"
"Huh?"
"Dinner prep!" she said again. Was she just ignoring that he had cat ears because uhh... Plagg hadn't fixed a disguise for those yet.
"Oh! Sorry, of course. I was just bringing something to..."
"It doesn't matter, we're behind!" the woman said. She was clearly very, very stressed. "The Vyzemsky's have brought more people than planned, so we have double the courses to prepare! Hurry! Hurry!"
"Of course!" Plagg said, allowing her to rush him to the kitchen. Who the heck were the Vyzemsky's???? Probably some rich Russian family in the fashion industry if Gabriel Agreste was allowing them into his home.
Plagg lost track of the pull he sensed from that power source. He had an ill feeling in his gut. If that thing was what he suspected it was... Well, things would be turned right on their heads.
Entering the kitchen, Plagg had several stacks of plates forced into his arms. Ah, so he was on table set up duty. Plagg got to work, mindlessly setting the table. There was one other worker there, talking to himself. Plagg cleared his mind, trying to work while in a meditative state. He had to be really keenly aware of his senses for this to work. It wasn't until he was folding the napkins over the utensils that he felt it again. And it was... getting closer. In fact, he could feel it right in the other room! Seeing that the table was now done, Plagg excused himself and disappeared around the corridor just as he could hear the guests being welcomed inside. That presence was so painfully intune to his senses right now, it was overwhelming! He couldn't imagine forgetting about it. It would be like telling yourself not to scratch the mosquito bite on your upper thigh.
His heart rate spiked. Plagg gripped his chest as a new pain blossomed. Was this... fear? Why was he afraid? He peeked into the rooms down this particular hall, and in one, he saw a lone man. He'd never seen this man in the household, and he most certainly did not look like a worker! Plagg hid behind the door, observing carefully. This was the clear works of a disguise, this was–
"Dusuu?" Plagg couldn't help but say. He felt his world shattering around him. The door he hid behind carelessly swung open, revealing him standing there The figure inside turned, and as soon as his eyes met Plagg's his entire appearance morphed. The disguise fell, revealing Dusuu in his true form. "Dusuu..."
"Plagg," Dusuu's voiced trembled.
"Dusuu!" Plagg rushed in, "Dusuu! You're here?!"
Plagg felt a flash of joy but it hardened as soon as he saw how fearful Dusuu looked. Plagg's brow furrowed in confusion and he halted in his step.
"What are you doing here?" Plagg asked.
"You can probably piece it together." Dusuu sounded horrified! Plagg first thought he had done something wrong but then, it all clinked at once.
"It's Gabriel," Plagg said, body stiffening. "That clue you gave Marinette in her dream all those months ago, that was supposed to point to Gabriel... You were here this whole time..."
"Plagg..."
"And I chose not to see it!" Plagg pulled at the roots of his hair, "we suspected but I dismissed it because I thought– well– I didn't want that kind of story to play out for Adrien, but it's— it's–" breath had now escaped Plagg. His chest tightened and heart felt as though it were failing him, quavering over each beat. "You– you— you were here all along and I just ignored your presence I– How could I–"
"You couldn't have known," Dusuu assured, taking a step toward Plagg and reaching out a hand. Surprisingly, Plagg took a step back, almost on instinct, as if Dusuu were a threat.
"Dusuu, what's happening?!"
"You already know," Dusuu said, reaching further and touching Plagg's shoulder.
"Nooroo is here, you are here— is— does this— am I– I– I–" Plagg's breathing became abnormal as he began to hyperventilate, "Dusuu– Dusuu I'm so sorry— We failed you– I– I– I– I failed you!"
Dusuu didn't comment.
"Adrien's father is Hawkmoth..." Plagg pulled tighter on his hair, "You and Nooroo have been right under my nose this whole time— What– What kind of– of– friend does that make me? What am I supposed–ed–ed to do?!"
"Plagg," Dusuu pulled Plagg forward into a hug. Plagg couldn't relax into this. His whole world was collapsing around him. "Plagg, it's alright."
"People are dying," Plagg countered, "it-it's not fine– How d-did this happen?" Black tears were now streaming down Plagg's face and oozing into Dusuu's robes. "You knew I was h-here, wh-why didn't you show yourself?"
"I couldn't," Dusuu replied. That wasn't enough. Plagg shoved him away forcefully.
"What are you doing?!" Plagg said, anger flashing in his tone, "We're fighting endlessly, countless people are dying, and all just to get you and Nooroo home safely."
"What is home?" Dusuu asked, "I– If I showed myself to you, and I let you rescue me, we would have to leave Nooroo. Gabriel has an unbreakable grip on him, he cannot be free unless we defeat Hawkmoth and we can't. There is no home for me without Nooroo!"
"Come with me, I'll take you to the sanctuary–"
"Don't!" Dusuu shouted, "don't you even think of showing me the location of the sanctuary! If I find out, Gabriel will, and then we lose!"
"Let me help you! Let US HELP YOU!" Plagg shouted.
"Keep quiet!" Dusuu hissed. He made a shushing motion and a weird sensation came over Plagg. It was familiar.
"You want me to sit idly by, knowing you're here, and letting you just... allow people to die– Dusuu! You have the power to stop Hawkmoth! If anyone can perfectly country Nooroo's power, it's you! So why hav en't you tried?!"
"Because of Adrien!" Dusuu exclaimed. Plagg went silent. "Because of... Adrien... I can't leave him here."
"You don't even know him," Plagg scrunched his face as he spoke with disdain. He couldn't believe the words coming out of his long lost friend's mouth. Dusuu looked at him woefully. There was a glimmer in his eye–a shard of glass. "No..." Plagg's breath escaped him again, "no, no, no, that can't be true."
"I'm sorry."
"No, no, no, no, no, no" Plagg backed away, afraid of his discoveries, "you're lying. It was a dumb excuse you came up with to shut me up, wasn't it?"
But nothing could disguise the look on Dusuu's face.
"Dusuu!" Plagg said desperately, returning to the taller kwami and clutching his robes. He balled his hands into fists around the fabric, black tears staining them like ink. "How... How am I supposed to help you if you won't let me?"
"I'm sorry," Dusuu looked away. That glass tear had just slit his cheek slightly, hardly deep enough to bleed. That strange feeling came over Plagg again. It was familiar, and Plagg was wracking his memories to figure out exactly what it was.
"Did you just... curse me?"
"I'm sorry," Dusuu said again.
"You cursed me?!"
"This is the only way! I can't let Nooroo and Adrien get hurt! It'll work out in the end, I swear!"
"DUSUU!" Plagg pleaded, "DUSUU PLEASE!"
"I'm sorry!"
"DUSUU YOU CAN'T CURSE ME AGAIN! NOT AGAIN!"
"I'm sorry!"
"DUSUU! Please! Just LET ME TAKE YOU HOME!"
"Forget about me, Plagg."
"How can I?!" Plagg's knees buckled under him and he fell back. He barely was able to keep himself standing at this point. "How can I? How can I? How can I?! DUSUU!"
"You were never supposed to find me, not like this," Dusuu said.
The next thing Plagg knew, he was running. Perhaps Dusuu's curse had not activated and there was still hope. He flew as fast as light, searching across the city for the new sanctuary. He'd never been there, he could only navigate to it by feeling the presence of his fellow kwamis.
He did not expect to find the new sanctuary in shambles but there was really no holding back what had just happened.
"I left him," Plagg said in horror after the kwamis had gotten him to calm down. "I just left him there..."
"Where!" Pollen asked, still trying to urge the answer out of him. But Dusuu's curse prevented him from revealing anything related to what he'd just discovered. He couldn't even mime it, or write it down. They had gotten nowhere, and only Plagg would know the truth.
"He pushed me away," Plagg said, trying to wipe his tears. "I–" he stopped, observing all the kwamis surrounding him one by one. "Where are Orikko and Kaalki?"
"Kaalki is finding Claudie, we need Neptune right now," Mullo answered.
"And... Orikko?" It was unlike Orikko to leave the sanctuary on her own. Her biggest fear was humanity grasping her power. She'd lock herself high away in a tower for centuries before she'd let anyone wear her thumb ring again. She was so paranoid it would happen against her will, she never would leave the sight of other kwamis. And certainly, she wasn't with Kaalki.
"Missing," Nino answered.
Plagg let that sink in. "And Fluff...?" Plagg observed his kwami friend spasming yet paralyzed on the floor.
"Shock, I think," Nino said.
"This happens sometimes," Pollen said, cooing at Fluff, "her poor brain gets overwhelmed by all the crossing timelines if she tries looking into too many at once and she freezes up like this. It'll last a few days, maybe a week."
"Too much is happening all at once," Plagg said,
"There has to be a way we can work around his curse. You broke the one he bound between you and Tikki! There has to be a way to break this one too!"
"Yeah, there is," Plagg mumbled, "we have to defeat Hawkmoth, and at that point, there's no point of the curse anymore. And that last curse took me over a dozen centuries to break!"
"What if you can get Chat Noir to figure it out?"
"There's no way to," Plagg shook his head. He actually didn't want Adrien figuring out at all. He wanted all this to be taken far, far away from the boy. He could never know the truth. "Chat Noir is–" he couldn't say it, "Chat Noir is a–" he couldn't spit it out! Because that in and of itself was a clue! Plagg couldn't say anything! "DUSUU! I'M CURSING YOU ONCE THIS IS ALL OVER!"
"Is Dusuu... okay?" Wayzz now asked.
Plagg faltered. "I don't know. He appears healthy, but that's likely because he must have recently come from his coma. But mentally? He seemed... Worse than Fluff, honestly."
"That bad?" the others asked.
"And I didn't see Nooroo. I think the reason he cursed me was to keep Nooroo safe. He must have a deal with Hawkmoth... I don't know what that means though."
"Has Dusuu... betrayed... us?" Mullo asked meekly.
Plagg shook his head. "We know him. He's more complicated than that. He's hard to understand but his actions, no matter how dark or hurtful they appear, are always backed by love."
"That doesn't justify what he's doing," Sass said coldly.
"You're right, it doesn't," Plagg dipped his head, "I just... I wish..."
Was it up to Plagg alone? He was forbidden from using his power against mortals! Of all the kwamis, only he was restricted like that, due to the damage his power could inflict. So actually, he couldn't face Hawkmoth on his own. He wouldn't be able to do anything! And what if there was something Nooroo and Dusuu were doing? Hawkmoth had to have been using a cure for Dusuu as a way to manipulate them both. That was the only logical explanation. So if he marched back to the mansion and forcefully ripped Dusuu and Nooroo away, the two could lose everything they'd been working for. If he just stole Dusuu back, Nooroo would suddenly be in danger. He didn't even know where to find Nooroo, he couldn't sense him at all!
"Talk to Tikki," Pollen suggested, "maybe she can figure a way around your new curse."
"Maybe..." Plagg furrowed his brows, "I think she figured out the last one without explicitly saying it. That's the only logical reason for why she would have... kissed... me... But we haven't spoken much since. Ladybug won't take the earrings off because Tikki has been scaring her so badly!"
"Talk to her, she'll find a way," Pollen said, "I hope..."
"What about Orikko?"
"Kaalki is looking for her, there's nothing you can do," Sass said.
"Okay, okay... I'll... I'll go." Plagg stood up and the other kwamis saw him out the door. There was a lot of crying and hugging but eventually, Plagg left.
Flying to the Dupan-Cheng bakery was easy. Plagg had been there countless times. It was actually deciding how he would approach Tikki that was the problem that proved to be so difficult. He couldn't just waltz in there. He was weirdly shy about her. And he couldn't embarrass himself being a blubbering sobbing mess. So now, Plagg perched himself on the rooftop, hiding behind a chimney stack.
"Hey Tikki," he recited to himself, trying to stay calm, "something happened–" his breath hitched and a tear escaped his eye. He restarted. "Hey Tikki. Something happened, Dusuu is–" he couldn't. He was trying to come up with a way to indirectly tell her that he'd found Dusuu, and where he was exactly, but that was nearly impossible! "She's smart," he assured himself, "probably smarter than Orikko or Sass, she can figure it out."
Plagg took a deep breath and started again. "Tikki, something bad has happened. Adrien is in danger because–" he choked on his words, "because Hawkmoth is–" he wanted to barf on every word, "Hawkmoth is his father. I don't know what to do, I need your help." But he couldn't say that! Dusuu's curse would prevent him from saying anything about Hawkmoth!
"Adrien is in danger," he began again, "because his body is not..." Not what? Plagg wanted to scream in frustration.
"Adrien is in danger?"
Shit.
Plagg peered around the chimney stack just briefly and FUCK! Marinette was standing on her balcony, looking at him curiously.
"How much of that did you hear?!" Plagg asked, quickly leaping down on the balcony.
"Just the Adrien is in danger part, why? Were you talking to someone?" Marinette cocked her head. Tikki was hovering over her shoulder like a very angry fat bee.
"I need to talk to Tikki," Plagg said urgently, "alone."
"Is it Riposte?! Is she back?"
"No, no– Yes," Plagg lied, "no, let me talk to Tikki."
"But–"
"Marinette," Tikki scorned, "let me talk to him."
"Fine," Marinette said in defeat. She started to head for the trapdoor.
"Ahem," Tikki coughed, "I'd... prefer to not be the size of a deformed pear, thank you."
"I can't–" Marinette shuttered, "okay. But I'm keeping the earrings with me."
"Fine," Tikki rolled her eyes. Marinette carefully took the jewelry from her ears and placed them in her pocket. Tikki assumed her full size and let out a large sigh of relief.
"I'll be–"
"Room, now," Tikki said, "the adults need to talk."
"Whatever mom," Marinette said under her breath and disappeared under the trap door.
"What's wrong with Adrien?" Tikki asked as soon as the coast was clear.
"He's–" Plagg scrunched his face. He quickly grabbed Tikki's hands and pulled her into the air. They flew for a bit till they were a good ways from the bakery, hovering behind a row of chimneys.
"Plagg, you're crying," Tikki said with some concern.
"Ah," Plagg quickly wiped away his tears, "just watery eyes."
"Your cheeks and clothes are stained," she deadpanned, "what happened?"
"I can't... Tell you, exactly," he said.
"Is it something to do with the curse Dusuu put on you that gave you bad luck and other worse things?"
"No, no, we broke that one."
"That one?" she raised a brow, "so there's another?"
"It's fresh," Plagg said, "very fresh."
Tikki's eyes widened. "You met Dusuu!" Plagg could only stare at his feet. "And Adrien is in danger?"
"Not really, but somewhat."
"That doesn't make sense."
"Adrien..." Plagg tried to find the words to make it as vague as he could, in an effort to directly tell her what happened, "Adrien's body is not... his own." He got it out! He could say that much.
"What do you mean?"
"Dusuu's curse won't let me tell you," he said, straining over Dusuu's name.
Tikki paled. "You mean..."
Plagg broke into sobs and knelt at her feet. He shook, barely able to control his own body. That feeling of the world closing in on him had returned.
"You mean Adrien is a... sentimonster?"
Plagg couldn't move beyond his shaking. Tikki knelt next to him and lifted his face, wiping his tears away with her sleeve. His vacant expression confirmed it for her. She spoke again, soft and doubting her own words.
"Adrien is a sentimonster..."
A/N
I'm so bad for leaving this as a cliffhanger at THE WORST TIME but I figured it was better to release this chapter before hiatus rather than leave yall dangling on the last one.
HIATUS?!??!?!? NOOOOOOO
Not dramatic this time I swear. I have a couple reasons, hear me out:
1. Literally moving back to school in a few days, and I only get a day to move in before classes start so that will be a blast and a half.
2. I LITERALLY DESTROYED MY SPINE?!
Okay not severely... I hope... we don't know, I'm to pussy to go to a doctor to have them tell me I'm wrong and that somehow I'm not experiencing the pain I'm literally experiencing, plus doctors cost money and I don't wanna pay for that bull shit answer. Explanation of the situation: Scoliosis S curve (pretty bad, got a good 50 degree curve on the top and 30ish on the bottom, yippee) and rotarscoliosis. The second one is literally pinching my nerves and making me lose control and feelings in mostly my hands but sometimes my legs. I'm used to that tho and I'm so cool and slay and not a pussy whimp who would stop writing because I can't feel or control my fingers, that's stupid whiny boy behavior. But it does feel like I've got a bunch of hot nails being pounded into my entire spine so that's fun.
Incident happened, I went backpacking because I'm a dumbass. Hiked 16 miles in two days on very steep terrain. DESTROYED MY SPINE. Could not walk for two days. Went to a Hozier concert crying because I nearly needed a wheelchair. Lesson learned, Hozier is magic and can give me the ability to walk so I'm so good.
ANYWAYS POINT IS. Sitting up for long periods of time is kinda bad for me rn so after I move in I'm gonna be focused on stretching and doing my own physical therapy (I ain't paying for an actual physical therapist lol) while balancing schoolwork. So I'd rather take that time to recover and work on other things than prioritize this due to stress, ya know?
3. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT (so sorry this author note is so long, I've got life updates)
I FINISHED WRITING MY ENTIRE FANTASY TRILOGY (you can buy books 1 and 2 on Amazon under the series title "Land of Armonia." So I wanna work on editing book 3 and because I'm a monster, the time I spend being up and creative I want to push towards starting my next project which means Miracle Box is getting sidelined for a bit.
THE GOOD NEWS IN ALL THIS:
I've got a good chunk of Miracle Box book 2 chapter 10 (next chapter) done so I'll be chipping away at this and hopefully the hiatus won't be too long. I don't wanna do you guys dirty like I did last time.
So yeah this is my break announcement. I hope you all enjoyed this so far, I promise to get the next chapter out as soon as I can I just don't want to stress myself over it, ya know? Aiming for returning by the end of the month. BYEEEEEEEEE
