The train had finally stopped. I was exiting the door while holding my luggage with my hands. Right when I step into the concrete floor of the outside of the train station I feel something pull my luggage out of my hands. For a second I thought it was a thief until I then noticed who it was.

It was the reason I've been feeling so down lately. Natsu... I ignore his smile and pull my luggage away from him, taking them back as I then began to walk away.

Natsu: "Oi, Luce let me help you."

Lucy: "Go help Wendy."

I say as I continue to walk, trying to stay away from him but he simply follows. Why can he just leave me be?

Natsu: "But she's not the one I want to help right now."

Lucy: "Why not?"

I ask in an irritated tone as I stop in my tracks and look at him with an annoying expression on my face.

Natsu: "Because she's not my girlfriend."

Lucy: "..."

Girlfriend...I used to love it when he called me that but now I'm starting to hate it with all my guts. Natsu takes the luggage out of my hands again but I simply take it back once more.

Natsu: "What's with the attitude?"

Lucy: "What's with the li-..?"

I begin to say but cut myself off before I make a scene in front of everyone and let out the truth. Sighing I try to control my temper.

Natsu: "What's with what?"

Natsu asks me but before any further arguments Erza pops out of nowhere and asks us something else.

Erza: "Are you love birds excited to announce the news to the guild?"

Erza says with a smile which I obviously knew was fake. I've known her almost all my life and I knew she was hurting right now. She feels bad but covers it up.

Natsu: "Aye!"

Lucy: "I feel a little sick right now... I think I'll go when I feel better."

I lie to get out of this whole thing. I didn't want to lie to anyone else so I lied to Erza. How ironic, right?

Erza: "In that case, Natsu you should take care of Lucy."

Lucy: "No!"

I yell as my eyes widen. My voice then lowers itself when I notice both Erza and Natsu staring at me in silence,

Erza: "..."

Natsu: "..."

Lucy: "I uhhh mean I don't want to get him sick too."

Natsu: "I don't care if I get sick, let me be with you."

Natsu says in what seems like an honest tone but I just wasn't sure of what believing anymore. I wasn't even sure if he even cared about my well being... Natsu what have you done to me..? Now I can seem to see truth in your words when in the past your words were my hope...

Lucy: "No...okay? I said no."

And with that simple sentence I walk off to town. Not knowing what I would do next. I couldn't just fake being sick my whole life.

Natsu's P.O.V.

Lucy's been acting weird lately and I have a hunch that it has something to do with Sting... What did he say to her..? He must've twisted everything... that must be why she's mad.

Natsu: "Lucy..."

I say her name under my breathe as I watch her figure get smaller the father the distance between us grows. Taking a step forward I was determined to clear out everything for her but before I could take any action I feel a hand hold me back. Turning my gaze I see a smirking Gray looking at me.

Gray: "Just give her some space to cool down, it must be hard dealing with a hot head like you everyday."

Natsu: "Is that supposed to be advice?"

I asks while raising my right eyebrow questioning what he said. He takes his hand off of my arm and glares at me.

Gray: "Yeah, it is."

Natsu: "Hm.."

I didn't really feel like getting into another argument with Gray. Not today that is. Erza, Wendy, Juvia, Happy and Carla are all in front of me, ready to go to the guild. I give them a small smile and join them back to the guild.

I was worried about Lucy but Gray was probably right for once. She does need her space. When we all get to the guild we were immediately greeted by everyone there.

Bickslow: "They're back!"

I hear Bickslow yell as we enter.

Mirajane: "Welcome back everyone, how did it go?"

Wendy: "The 'puppeteer' escaped from our grasp..."

Wendy answers Mirajane's question as she lets a small sigh escape her lips.

Gray: "Yeah but we'll get him next time! Right Natsu?"

Natsu: "Aye."

I reply while walking past him to sit down at an empty table.

Mirajane: "Why the long face Erza?"

Mira asks Erza as she walks towards her with her favorite...a strawberry cake. Yet Erza wouldn't smile, not even at the sight of her one true love. I mean I don't want to sound dramatic but... IT'S ERZA AND A STRAWBERRY CAKE!!! Why isn't she lightening up a bit? She really must be still upset.

Erza: "He got away...he's feeling freedom when he should be paying for his crimes..."

Mirajane: "You can't win everything Erza but I'm sure you'll beat him next time."

Mirajane says in a reassuring tone while pushing with her finger tips the plate of strawberry cake closer to Erza.

Erza: "I hope so..."

Mirajane: "Cheer up, there has to be some good out of this."

Erza: "I told Lucy that we'd probably have a clue of where to find Aquarius's key but in the end there was nothing. She must feel disappointed."

Erza's voice says in a very low tone. She stared at her slice of cake then slowly began to take a few small bites.

Mirajane: "It's not your fault Erza. Speaking of Lucy where is she?"

Mira asks as she turns to look over at me as if I had to know where she was. Who does she think I am? Lucy's tracker device thingy!?

Natsu: "She's at her place, she wasn't feeling well earlier."

I answer her question.

Mirajane: "Oh, in that case! I'm going to make her some soup so you can bring it to her."

Natsu: "I can't, she doesn't want to get me sick."

Mirajane: "That doesn't matter. You're her best friend, right?"

Mira questions in a serious yet sweet tone. How can she do that? Is that even normal!? You can be serious and you can be sweet but not at the right time, right!? She's just gifted I guess.

Wendy: "More like boyfriend~"

Natsu: "Heh..."

I look away, not really in the mood to lie right now. That's why I didn't bring it up, right?

Mirajane: "Natsu you didn't deny!? Is it true!?"

Mirajane asked in a high pitched tone. A squeal followed not far behind her sentence as she jumped up and down.

Juvia: "Yes, Juvia was also surprised when she found out. Isn't it amazing?"

Mirajane: "NALU!"

She yelled even louder as she jumped up and down in excitement.

Natsu: "There you go again with your gibberish."

I mumble with a low groan. Face palming myself I try to ignore all of this.

Mirajane: "Now you really have to bring her soup and take care of her! Oh I can imagine... Natsu feeding Lucy, her laying her head in his lap as he then plays with her hair."

Natsu: "Oi, sorry to bring you back to reality but that isn't happening."

I break her fantasy with my words of truth as I snap my finger infront of her eyes so she could snap out of it.

Mirajane: "Why not?"

Natsu: "She wants to be alone."

I say with a shrug, not really caring anymore as I turn around and rest my head on the wooden table placed before me.

Mirajane: "..."

Natsu: "You okay?"

I ask her without making eye contact with Mira. Feeling to lazy to turn back around I simply look at her with the corner of my eye.

Mirajane: "Oh yeah! I'm fine, gotta go."

Natsu: "Okay..?"

I had a feeling something was up but didn't feel like investigating. I was too tired. Of this. Of everything.

Mirajane Strauss

Mirajane: "Freed has Levy returned from her job yet?"

I asked the green haired man as I slowly walk by.

Freed: "Not yet I believe."

He answers my question, only causing a smile to form on my lips. I knew now what I was going to do and there was nothing holding me back.

Mirajane: "Alrighty then, thanks."

I reply while grabbing my coat and a picture of levy that was on the wall of all the fairy tail guild members. Walking out of the guild I make my way towards Lucy's apartment, ready to do what I do best.
