Lissana's P.O.V.

Some time has passed and the effects of the dragon mating season was catching on to Natsu. I have been taking care of him for awhile now and see no progress of him getting better. He explained his situation and to be honest I first did not believe him but with time I noticed it was true. His words hid no lies.

Natsu: "Oi, Lis do you want to go get some truffles?"

He asked in a weak tone as he smiled to cover up how he really felt. That was Natsu Dragneel for you... He'd smile even if he were dying...

Lissana: "You can't move Natsu, stay still."

Natsu: "But-..."

Lissana: "No buts. Now lay down and get some rest."

I cut him off while forcing him to sit back down on his bed. He groans in annoyance.

Natsu: "Im not tired..."

Lissana: "You have a fever, I'm gonna get some ice."

I turn my back on him and walk away to grab an ice pack. When I return I find him sound asleep. A small smile forms on my lips at the sight of this.

Natsu: "Zzz."

Lissana: "Poor Natsu..."

I should go get those truffles he wanted before he wakes up and gets them himself. I thought to myself as I watched the pink haired dragon slayer. Standing up I was ready to turn on my heel and head off when I then felt something grab onto my hand.

Natsu: "Don't go..."

Lissana: "Natsu..."

I say under my breathe while worrying about him. A light shade of red was clearly painted on my face by now. I was embarrassed, thinking that Natsu wanted me...no, needed me made my heart skip a few beats.

Natsu: "Lucy..."

Why...why did you have to fall for her..? There were better options for you...but you chose... her. Natsu.. I quietly thought to myself as I watched a tear roll down his face. Even in his dreams she'd appear. There was no room for me...

Natsu's P.O.V.

My body hurts, but even though I feel like I am drowning, my senses are still going on. Cold, the air is freezing. I was in a dark room, sure you could see but there was not enough light for anything to be seen clearly. Standing up in the middle of this dark room I scratched my head as I observed the little I could see. Darkness...it seemed infinite by now.

Natsu: "Where am I?"

I questioned myself as I turned around to find any sign of an exit but nothing was there. Walking towards no where I tried to find an escape route but had no luck. Suddenly a faint light could be seen from a distance.

Huh? What is that? Might be my way out. I thought to myself as I continued my steps now towards it but it seemed pointless. Hours had passed by now and I walked, ran and dashed towards the light but with every step I took forward it felt like I took a hundred steps back.

Natsu: "What is this!?"

I yelled in anger as I caught my breath. Crouching down I rested my hands on my knees and took deep breathes, doing my best to contain my pants. That's when I heard a voice call my name.

?: "Natsu?"

Natsu: "Huh?"

I glanced up with confusion clearly on my face. Standing up my eyes tried to follow the familiar voice while my brain tried to figure who it was. Suddenly it hit me. That voice...it was her voice...

Natsu: "Lucy?"

I questioned with disbelief in my tone. Turning my head I notice the faint light grow brighter and brighter as it came closer to me. The brightness only allowed me to get a flash of hands. Soon I saw open arms coming my way, a pearly smile and long golden hair.

Lucy: "Natsu!"

Natsu: "Whoa! What's going on??"

I was tackled to the ground and hugged tightly with two warm arms. On top of me was her...Lucy. Her faced was buried onto my chest as she clenched onto my jacket.

Lucy: "You were gone...so long..."

Natsu: "Yeah...its just...I'm sorry."

I have trouble explaining and quickly skip to an apology that I knew she deserved. Her warm body was on mine, her breathe caressed my chest, her tears...fell upon my skin. Seeing her like this was breaking my heart...

Lucy: "You don't have to apologize... It's my fault you left. I pushed to away without knowing."

Natsu: "Luce don't blame yourself. It's alright I'm here now."

I said in a reassuring tone before wrapping my trembling arms around her. Her tears...they were real...they were too much... She choked on them with each work she spoke. Her pain... It was killing me inside. Hugging her tightly I combed her hair with one of my hands, hoping I could calm her down.

Lucy: "Yes, you are but..."

Natsu: "But..?"

Lucy: "But it's too late for me now."

Natsu: "What are you talking about?"

My eyes widen at her words, fearing the worst of the worst. Suddenly she made a confession...a confession that would make me speechless.

Lucy: "I love you Natsu... I always have."

Natsu: "..."

Lucy: "I'm sorry...Natsu.

Natsu: "Lucy..."

I squinted as a tear rolled down my skin. The warmth I once felt for her was now gone. Her blonde locks that were being caressed by my finger tips were no longer there. What I was hugging had now vanished completely as if it were never there.

Natsu: "Lucy! Where are you!?"

I yelled as I jumped on my feet and looked everywhere. Tears continued to fall while my pain grew stronger and stronger. She had disappeared... I lost her... I lost Lucy...

Sitting up I held my chest as I panted. My body was covered in sweat and my face stained by tears. Grabbing my hair I yelled furiously, trying to get a hold of myself. This was just another nightmare. The 7th one to be exact. I've been getting them for awhile now, along with a few hallucinations too.

I was losing my mind. Seeing things that weren't there. Fainting from time to time and even... Losing my appetite. I hated to admit it but...I was growing weak. My sanity was slowly drifting away from me.

Natsu: "Damn it!"

Lissana: "Natsu what's wrong!? I heard your yelling."

Natsu: "Lucy..?"

I ask under my breathe as I stared at the bed sheets that covered my legs. Leaning down I rest my forehead on my knees before taking a deep breath.

Lissana: "No it's me Lissana."

Natsu: "..."

Lissana: "I brought you truffles..."

Natsu: "Not interested."

Lissana: "Natsu..."

I ignore her attempts to cheer me up and lay back down on the bed. Turning my back on her I cover my face with the blanket while clenching my jaw.

Hey guys this chapter as you all can see is misty about the effect that the dragon mating season is taking on Natsu after he was 'rejected'. I hope you all enjoyed it and like I've said before if anyone has any requests then comment below and I'll add your idea in the story.

I also wanted to mention that I had a story saved for a few months and haven't published it until now. It's obviously related to fairy tail but I think girls will like it more then guys since it's a boyfriends scenarios but if you're a guy and interested in reading it then go ahead XD I don't judge.
