-2 days later-

Lucy: "N-Natsu...what are you doing?"

I asked while blushing madly. At the moment I was pinned on a wall by Natsu. His eyes gazing at mine made my heart pound like crazy.

Natsu: "I'm sorry...I can't hold back anymore.."

With that apology he leans down slowly closing the small gap between us. His warm soft lips press their way against mine. My eyes widened, shocked of what just happened but after a couple of seconds they close as I melt into his kiss. Slowly pulling away his eyes meet mine again, this time I was certain of what he wanted. It was the same thing I've been wanting for awhile now.

Natsu: "I'm in love with you Lucy Heartfilia."

Lucy:  "And I'm in love with you-.."

Suddenly I fall to the ground. Slowly opening my eyes and yawning I realize where I was. Now sitting on the floor, next to my bed, in the hotel room.  I blush a deep shade of red, feeling embarrassed. It was all a dream...I thought while slapping both of my cheeks to get out those crazy thoughts and dreams from my head.

Natsu: "What was that Luce?"

Lucy: "Natsu!?"

I shot up looking at him with my eyes wide open. Nervous that he could have heard something he didn't need to hear.

Natsu: "The one and only, so what were you saying?"

Lucy: "Nothing! How much did you hear!?"

Natsu: "Nothing? You just asked how much I heard.."

Lucy: "Just answer the question!"

I raise my voice, getting desperate to know if he heard something or not.

Natsu: "Alright, alright! I didn't hear anything."

Lucy: "Thank Mavis..."

I say under my breathe while looking down and sighing in relief. If he heard any of it I would've died.

Natsu: "Except for you begging and calling my name."

Lucy: "W-What!?"

I say shocked, flustered, embarrassed! You name it! I was now sure that I was looking like a tomato. Begging!? Calling his name!? Oh Lucy what have you gotten yourself into!? I screamed in my thoughts. Panicking internally of the whole situation.

Natsu: "Man, Lucy if you want me that bad you can just ask for it. No begging needed."

Lucy: "Shut it! You're lying! I didn't say that!"

I yell in a defensive tone. There was no way I was going to give in. I was going to argue my way out of this one way or another! I'll just say he heard wrong or something.

Natsu: "I know, I'm just messing with ya Lucy. No need to get so worked up."

Lucy: "............"

He was just messing with me.... I thought to myself. Part of me felt relief but another part of me felt mad. That's not something you should mess around about! Grabbing my pillow I throw it at him and of course he dodges it. Natsu laughs at me, earning himself a glare from me. I then walk towards the bathroom and go inside.

Lucy: "Deep breaths..."

I whisper to myself as I take a deep breath and rest my back on the door, slumping down to the floor.

-later that day-

I was walking towards the beach with Yukino and Wendy. We were going to meet up with everyone else there. 

Yukino: "How nice to have a few days off."

Lucy: "I know, right?"

Wendy: "It feels great!"

We all giggle as we walk. Arriving to the beach Wendy runs towards Carla. Rogue was sitting on the sand with Kagura, both of them were smiling and blushing. Erza was in the water with Milliana. Juvia was staring at Gray in 'awe' as if she's never seen him shirtless. Sting was looking at the sea. Natsu was with Frosch and Happy playing with a beach ball.

Yukino: "I'm going to get in the water."

Lucy: "Okay."

I smile as she runs off to the water.

Natsu: "Lucy!"

Natsu yells, causing me to wave in response. Sting turns around and walks towards me with a warm smile on his lips. I return his smile with one of my own.

Sting: "Hey Lucy."

Lucy: "Hey."

Sting: "You know it just a day at the beach not a modeling shoot, right?"

Sting says in a teasing tone, joking with me. I roll my eyes playfully and let out a slight laugh.

Lucy: "It's not my fault I was blessed with these curves."

I joke back as I push his chest with two of my fingers. He glances at my hand then glances back at me.

Sting: "Blessed you are."

He replies in an alluring way which didn't sound at all like a joke. I attempt to change the subject as I look away, hiding the blush playing on my cheeks.

Lucy: "So what are you doing?"

Sting: "I was observing the sea, it's full of mysteries yet it's beauty attracts others."

He says to me as he turns his gaze to the sea. I do the same and tilt my head.

Lucy: "I never thought of the sea that way but you do have a point."

Sting: "It's just like you."

I hear him say, causing my eyes to slowly widen. I continue to look at the ocean, too nervous to make any eye contact with him. A pinkish red color painted on my cheeks was now exposed. I then feel one of his hands sliding it's ways into one of mine. What is he doing...? I asked in my thoughts.

Lucy: "..."

Sting: "Don't stay so quiet Lucy, I want to hear your sweet voice."

Sting whispers to me as his other hand caresses the side of my left cheek. I didn't know how to react. I was frozen. Suddenly something unexpected happens....he was punched out of nowhere. My jaw drops as I see the blonde dragon slayer land on the sand.

Natsu: "Get your hands off of her."

I hear a familiar voice say. Natsu? In response I look back to see if I was correct about the voice's owner. For some reason I blushed once again but this time it was different. I could feel myself have a smile pulled onto my lips.

Sting: "You're going to regret that..."

Natsu: "Trust me I'm not going to regret something I've been wanting to do for awhile."

They both stand in their fighting positions. Their magic revealing itself as it snakes it's way around their fists. It was a small vacation what we had... Not an arena match... I wasn't going to let them fight. I step in and stop my ground in the middle of them.

Natsu: "Lucy don't get in the way."

Sting: "Move, we have unfinished business."

Lucy: "Does it look like I care? If you two fight now in the middle of our vacation then we'll have unfinished business."

I state as I glare at them both. Natsu's flames disappears as he sighs. Sting turns around and walks off, letting his guard down. I make my way towards Natsu and flick his forehead.

Lucy: "Don't go around picking fights Baka."

Natsu: "He deserved that punch, though."

Natsu mumbles while folding his arms across his chest. I roll my eyes and flick his forehead again.

Natsu: "What was that for!?"

Lucy: "You deserved it."

I say as I shrug and walks away towards the water, leaving Natsu with his right hand on his forehead.

Natsu: "And you deserve this!"

Lucy: "Huh? Deserve what?"

I question as I turn my head back to see what he was talking about. The confused expression on my face quickly changes into a scared one. Natsu picks me up with one of his creepy smiles, meaning he has something planned. He continued to run but turns left. I wasn't sure of where he was going but soon knew as I noticed a cliff in the distance.

Lucy: "No! Natsu don't you dare!"

Natsu: "Why not?"

Lucy: "I'll do anything you want! Just don't go there!"

Natsu: "I doubt it."

-5 minutes later-

I gulped while looking down. We were now at the edge of the cliff. Natsu held my trembling body as I begged him not to jump.

Lucy: "Please Natsu don't, I'll do anything I swear!"

Natsu: "Anything?"

He questions in a suspicious tone as he let me down on the ground.

Lucy: "Anything!"

Natsu: "Go on a fake date with me."

Lucy: "W-What?"

A 'fake' date..? What the... I thought as I grew confused. I didn't understand while he'd want a 'fake' date with me.

Natsu: "Wrong answer."

Natsu says as he gently pushes me.

Lucy: "Okay! Okay! I'll go!"

Natsu: "Alright...I won't push you know."

Lucy: "Arigato...w-wait what are you doing!?"

I change my sentence in mid air as I feel him pick me up and take a few steps forward.

Natsu: "I said I wouldn't push you, I said nothing about jumping with you in my arms."

He states then jumps off the cliff...with me................

Lucy: "NATSUUUUUUU!"

My voice trailed off into a scream as he jumped. The wind blowing my hair upwards while we fell. I wrapped my arms around him and held on tightly. Closing my eyes shut I buried my face into the crook of his neck.

Natsu: "Woohooooooo!"

Natsu yelled in excitement while I on the other hand felt like I was living the last moments of my life. A big splash is heard as we felt into the water. I continue to cling onto him while he swims up to get air. As soon as we've surfaced I start coughing up water.

Lucy: "Did you want to kill me!?"

Natsu: "Loosen up Lucy! That was fun!"

I shiver at how cold the water was and tightly hold onto his warm body. Setting my chin on his shoulder I wrap my legs around his waist. He seems to notice how scared I was since he starts stroking my back.

Natsu: "I'm sorry Lucy. How about we go back to the beach?"

Lucy: "Yes....please."

I nod as I let go of him. We then begin to swim to shore. After a few minutes we arrive to the sand. My body shivers as the beach breeze hits my cold wet body. I walk over to one of our umbrellas and grab a towel, wrapping it around myself as I sit in the sand. Natsu slowly approaches me. Getting on one knee he leans over to my ear and begins to whisper something.

Natsu: "Don't tell anyone about our deal, okay? We'll discuss it later over dinner."

I slowly nod, not understanding any of the situation but decide to play along. I felt curious and confused to why he wants a fake date with me.

-That afternoon-

I was getting ready now, putting on a black and white dress. I let my hair done and put on some light make up as usual. When I finish putting on my accessories as well, I look at myself in the mirror. I smiled to myself, feeling proud of how I looked. My smile didn't last long though....it slowly faded while I remembered it wasn't a real date with Natsu. It was fake...

I'm not sure if you know about my feelings towards you Natsu...but it hurts....its hurts that you'd ask me on a fake date.... Are you trying to impress another girl...? Am I just a pawn..? I thought to myself as I walked away from the mirror. Suddenly someone behind knocking on the door, I grab my purse and fake a smile for who ever it was.

Lucy:  "Coming!"

I say so the person could know I was on my way. The person stops knocking and waits as I open the door. Once it was open it revealed none other then Natsu. He was holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a black tux.

Natsu: "You clean up nice, huh?"

Lucy: "You're not looking too bad yourself."

Handing me the bouquet with his right hand he looked to his side and rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand. A hint of blush could be seen on his cheeks, causing me to grow more confused. I didn't understand if he liked me or not but little by little I began to forget this was a fake date.

Natsu: "Ready to go?"

Lucy: "Mhmm."

We interlock out arms together as we walk down the hall. When we got to the lobby we noticed a few of our friends were there. Wendy, Carla, Happy, Gray, Juvia and Yukino. Most of them smiled at us and Wendy even looked like a fangirl for a moment. Gray's jaw dropped as he watched us pass by. For some reason Natsu smirks at him and continues to walk with me.

Lucy: "What was that about?"

Natsu: "What?"

Lucy: "You didn't think I wouldn't catch that suspicious smirk at Gray?"

Natsu: "I'll explain everything later."

After awhile walking around the town and looking at all the people we arrive to a restaurant. Natsu opens the door for me, letting me enter first. I've never seen this gentleman side of his before... I thought as he lead me to my seat and hold it out for me. Once I sat down he gently pushed my seat in. When he sits down on his seat he gives me a warm smile.

Natsu: "So what would you like Lucy?"

He questions as he looks at the menu.

Lucy: "Hmm, I'd like for you to explain all of this."

Natsu: "You're so stubborn...."

Natsu mumbles while releasing a sigh. Rolling my eyes I shift them into a sharp glare, targeting him. I then wait for him to explain.

Natsu: "As you know Juvia is in love with Gray and even though he denies it he has feelings for her too."

Lucy: "Mhm."

Natsu: "We made a deal not long ago. He'd confess his feelings and go out with her when I myself get a girlfriend."

I know where this is going.... Another deal..? What is it with him and deals?? I thought to myself as I speak up.

Lucy: "...That's where I come in."

Natsu: "Exactly."

Lucy: "Why couldn't you get anyone else?"

Natsu: "Well you happened to be available for a deal so I took it."

Available!? You were going to push me off a cliff!! I clenched my dust under the table, holding back the nerve to punch him, right there, right now.

Lucy: "Ugh...so you want me to pretend to be your girlfriend...? For how long?"

Natsu: "Until Gray does his part of the deal."

Lucy: "I see."

Natsu's P.O.V.

I've just explained to Lucy the situation. She may think she knows the whole story but she doesn't. There's a few details I may have or may have not forgotten to say. I was unable to reveal my true feelings about her. I wanted this date to be real...I wanted her to be mine... But I was too scared of rejection... I didn't want things to get awkward.. Our friendship could've ended if I confessed and she didn't feel the same way.. So I'm playing it safe.

Natsu: "Yep..."

Lucy: "I'll do it."

Natsu: "You will?"

I ask as I tilt my head to my left. I was pretty sure she'd start fussing or saying she didn't want to be involved but her response kinda came like a surprise.

Lucy: "Yup, anything for a friend!"

Ah...friend I see... I quietly thought to myself as I felt my chest ache. I wanted to be more then just her friend.

Natsu: "Thanks Lucy."

Lucy: "No problem."

The waiter then arrives and asks us what we'd like to eat. We answer his question and wait for our food to arrive.

Lucy: "No one else can know about this right?"

Natsu: "Yeah, it's a secret."

Lucy: "So everyone will think we're together?"

What's with all the questions? I thought as I release a small sigh.

Natsu: "Aye."

Lucy: "What about Lissana?"

I didn't understand what Lissana had to do in any of this. I felt confused. Lissana? I wonder why Lucy brought her up. I thought to myself while tilting my head once again.

Natsu:  "What about her?"

Lucy: "Nothing...never mind."

Natsu: "Hm..."

The waiter comes back with our food and sets it on our table. He then asks if we'd like candles, I nod in response and he places them on the table. Right when he was going to light them up I stop him.

Natsu: "I got this."

I flick my finger, shooting a small flame at the candle, lighting it up. The waiter lowly claps and leaves. Lucy rolls her eyes as she smiles at me.

Lucy: "Show off."

Natsu: "If I can do it then I'll do it."

Lucy: "So if you could steal a bank, you would?"

She asks in a smart tone as a smirk plays its way on her lips. I let out a small chuckle as I think about it.

Natsu: "I have my boundaries."

Lucy: "Good."

We then began to eat our food. That night Lucy and I had a great meal, talked for hours and walked around the town for awhile. Even though I knew it wasn't a real date I couldn't help the feeling of it being real to me. I wished she'd feel the same way.
