Lucy's P.O.V.

I ate some cookies with Natsu and noticed him glancing at me from time to time. He's been acting strange lately, I wonder what's up. I thought as I got up and walked over to Mira, who is reading a S class job offer.

Lucy:   " Um, Mira?"

I said as I tapped her shoulder. I've been thinking about what happened  yesterday a lot. I was happy when he gave me the rose and brought food but.... He said Mira put him up to it. He didn't do it because he had feelings for me. What am I saying!? It's Natsu! Of course he doesn't like me. Why would I even care if he did.

Mira:   " Huh? Lucy!"

She said happily with a wide smile which snap me out of my own thoughts.

Lucy:  "Hey."

I giggle at her. She scooches over a bit and pats the space next to her, gesturing me to sit. I do so and we begin talking.

Mira:  "Soooo how's you and Natsu doing?"

She asks smiling even more then earlier.

Lucy:   " Good, good. But umm Mira.."

Mira:  " Yes?"

She tilts her head slightly, noticing that I kinda dodge her question a little.

Lucy:  " About last night, Nat-..."

She cuts me off and let's out her inner fangirl as she squeals and shakes me.

Mira:  " I know! I herd! He said last night that he was gonna do something romantic!"

I grow even more confused once she saids that. Natsu lied? Mira had nothing to do with this? I thought while she continued fangirling.

Lucy:   "Oh."

Mira's P.O.V.

Mira:  " Yes?"

I tilt my head slightly confused when I then remembered what I did last night. Uh oh! Lucy is on to me! I thought as I quickly lied to make Nalu work.

Lucy:  " About last night, Nat-..."

I cut her off and act as if I'm fangirling while squalling and shaking her. Man I could be a could actress. I thought to myself, smiling.

Mira:  " I know! I heard! He said last night that he was gonna do something romantic!"

Lucy:   "Oh."

I have to keep on the act.

Mira:  " What did he do??? What did he say??? I knew he liked you!!"

I continue smiling as I see Lucy's cheek going red. My plan is working on this end.

I wonder what's going on with Natsu. I wonder if Lucy and him got my letter. I look around and he's nowhere to be found in the guild.

Lucy:  " Mira stopppp itttt. You're embarrassing me!!!"

Mira:  "Okay, okay."

I giggle and lower my voice. I need to find out if she knows.

Mira:  "Did you get anything strange last night?"

Lucy:   "Other then dinner and a rose, nope not really."

She didn't get the letter? I thought while looking down at the floor confused but quickly looked up at her with a cheerful smile, not letting her notice.

Mira:  "Mmm, okay! Well I have to go! This Job needs me ASAP!"

I wave my s class job offer infront of her while smiling and run off.

Natsu's P.O.V.

Once Lucy got up and left I looked for Levy. I spotted her lecturing Gajeel outside of the guild about how important someone named "Algebra" is.

I walk upto to them.

Natsu:  " Oi Levy."

Levy:  " Hey."

Levy turns around and looks at me while holding a book called "Algebra".
Man this Algebra guy must be very famous. I thought to myself.

Natsu:  "Umm can we talk?"

Gajeel bursts out yelling.

Gajeel:  "YES!! FOR ONCE THANK YOU FLAME BRAIN!! TAKE SHRIMP AWAY!!"

Levy:  " My name is levy!! Not shrimp!"

Gajeel:  "Yeah, yeah whatever shrimp!!

Gajeel runs off before she can say anything else and disappears. She lets out a sigh and focuses her attention on me.

Levy:  "So what do you wish to speak about?"

Natsu:  " It's about something called.... dragon mating season..."

I whisper the last part so only she and I could here. She looks at me with a confused expression on her face.

Levy:  "Dragon mating season?"

Natsu:   "Ssshhhh, don't say it to loud."

I whispered.

Levy:  " Oops, sorry."

She whispered back and grabbed my wrist pulling me away. After a few minutes we stand infront of a weird old building.

She leads me inside and I see shelves and shelves filled with books. Oh god we're in a library.... I thought as we sat down at a table.

Natsu:   "Why here???"

Levy:   "Shhhhh."

Levy shushes me and I tilt my head.

Natsu:  "Nani? We're not near the guild anymore."

Levy:  " It's a library Baka."

She whispers to me and I get up, yelling.

Natsu:  " Oi! I know it is! And I'm not a Baka!"

Levy:  "Natsu! Shhhhh we have to whisper!"

Natsu:  "Well you're not whispering right now."

I said calmly then suddenly everyone in the library shushes us both. I sit back down, folding my arms.

Natsu:  " Stupid library..."

I mumbled lowly.

Levy gets up and goes pick up some books while I sit there bored, waiting for her.

- 5 minutes later -

Levy then comes back and I growl at the stack of books she brought.

Levy:  " Why do you hate the library?"

She whispers to me and I reply back.

Natsu:  " I don't hate it... It hates me."

Levy rolls her eyes then suddenly I picked up a familiar smell.

Natsu:  "Uh oh."

I say under my breath as I here footsteps behind me and a familiar voice.

Librarian:  "Natsu Dragneel."

I turned around and gave the old hag a large fake grin.

Natsu:  " Oi! Long time no see!"

Librarian:  "Indeed and lower your voice."

She said in a demanding voice. I hate her so much.

Natsu:  "Aye."

Librarian:  " What are you doing here?"

Natsu:  "Reading."

Librarian:  "Are you sure you are even capable of doing such things?"

Natsu:  "Nani?"

I said in a cold voice as my grin disappears. Levy looks up from the books she's reading to look at us but then goes back to reading.

Librarian:   " Don't play dumb. Why did you came?"

Natsu:  " I already told you."

Librarian:  "Revenge? Did you come to burn down this library too?"

Natsu:  "It was an accident."

Librarian:  " You call fighting and burning down my library an accident!?"

I get up from my seat , pissed off.

Natsu:  " Listen lady! I saved your life!"

Levy continues ignoring our argument as she reads.

Librarian:  " That building and those books were my life!"

I roll my eyes at her and say.

Natsu:  " Geesh lady you need to go out more."

Librarian:  "Excuse me!?"

Natsu:  "You heard me."

Levy seems to get annoyed and gets up butting in as she tries to calm us down.

Levy:  "It's a library please don't yell."

Librarian:  "You're right it is a library. My library."

Next thing levy and I know, we both get kicked out of the library by some guys the librarian knew.

Levy:  "Owe!"

Levy rubs her behind as she slowly gets up from the floor and I get ready to burn down the library.

Natsu:  "Roar of th-...."

Levy cuts me off, waving her hands infront of me while jumping up and down.

Levy:  "No! No! Don't!"

Natsu:  "But she-..."

Levy:  " Forget about it. I read enough to know what's going on with you and the others."

Natsu:  "The others?"

Levy:  "Yeah, I'll explain later let's just get out of here."

She turns me around and makes me walk away with her but before we get to far I throw a small fire ball at a bush infront of the library, without levy noticing.

We walk to the park and sit down next to the lake, she then speaks up.

Levy:  "Okay, about dragon mating season."

Natsu:  "Aye."

Levy:  " It happens to all dragon slayers."

Natsu:  " It does? I thought it was only me. Igneel told me a little about it when I was younger."

Levy:  " What exactly did he tell you?"

Natsu:  " He just told me I'd act weird until I mated with someone."

Levy:  "Wrong. Right but wrong."

Natsu:  " Nani?"

Levy:  " You will act weird until you well you know but it's not with just someone. It's with your soul mate."

Natsu:  "Soul mate?"

Levy:  " Yeah."

Natsu:  "I don't know if I have one."

Levy:  " Well since mating season is near you'll find her. Every dragon slayer will find their match."

Natsu:  "How?"

Levy:  "Well they'll flirt with their mate. They'll be over protective. They'll hormones will go off the roof."

All of that will happen? Wait wasn't I flirting with Lucy yesterday!? I thought to myself then snapped out of it.

Natsu:  "But can we be like that with just anyone?"

I need to know.

Levy:  "Nope, only with the one~."

Lucy is "the one" for me?? I thought.

Natsu:  " What happens if  our mates don't like us back?"

Levy:  " Then you'll get ill of loneliness and have a slow lonely death."

Natsu:  "Geesh thanks to break it to me to nicely."

She giggles at what I said and I get up.

Levy:  "You're welcome."

Natsu:  "Thanks for everything levy! You're awesome!"

I grin at her as I start walking away. Suddenly I then heard her yell.

Levy:  " Wait Natsu!"

Natsu:  " Nani?"

Levy:  " Before mating season is over you have to mark your mate!"

Natsu:  "Huh? Mark?"

She runs upto me and talks instead of yell this time.

Levy:  " Yes, mark. You need to give your mate a mark that saids that she belongs to you."

Natsu:  " What kind of mark?"

Levy:  " I believe a small bite will do the trick."

Natsu:  "Oh."

Levy:  "And do the mark if your mate accepts you, if not you both will get ill and die."

Natsu:  "..."

If Lucy is my mate...I don't want her to die. I thought as I stayed quiet.

Levy:  "Natsu?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her.

Natsu:  "Aye!"

Levy:  " Do you have any idea of who your mate is?"

Natsu:  " Not really."

I lied. I can't tell levy, she's Lucy's best friend and she'd tell Lucy. Plus I'm not even sure if it really is Lucy or not.

Levy:  " Oh."

Natsu:  "Well thanks levy, I gotta go. Happy is probably waiting for me."

Levy:  "Okay, bye!"

We both part ways. I walk around town, trying to think of solutions.
