I was feeling bad about my art and my art style lately. Someone even accused me of tracing. I just want to clearly state that all works posted here were not traced, only referenced.

They said that the fanart I did of Hotarubi from Basilisk looks exactly like the original picture. I was actually happy at first but then they accused me of tracing. They said that the art style for the piece doesn't look like my art style.

It's clearly a 'fanart' so that's why I followed the anime's style instead of using mine. I even showed the person proof that I didn't trace. Even though it looks highly similar, but when I put my drawing and the original picture together you could see a lot of differences.

What hurts me the most is that I followed this person and liked every drawing they made. I kindly explained to this person but they still wouldn't believe me. In the end, they gave up, possibly blocked me and unlike my drawings.

It really hurts me and I couldn't stop thinking about it. T-T

Sorry for the rant, I just feel so mad and sad at the same time and I just want to talk about it but I don't have any friends to talk to 😢

Well here's something different than my usual drawings. I wanted to focus more on backgrounds. I really like how it turned out. I enjoyed drawing this and I would definitely continue making more drawings like this^^

I would love to hear your opinion on this drawing so that I could improve more in backgrounds.

There's a little backstory I had in mind for this piece.

This story is in a universe where something like a zombie apocalypse happened. I'm thinking of making all the males in this universe affected by this disease. Females are all immune to this disease. They will only be affected if they were bitten by the victim. Therefore, they have to protect themselves and find a cure for this disease.

Some highschool girls who were trained using katanas since they were young survived the massacre. They tried to protect their classmates but there were too many already affected. Journeying across the world, they try to find help and possibly a cure to this disease.

The story is still in progress but I do hope you'll like it❤
