Kokichis pov

"a body has been discovered! Please head to ryomas room to begin your investigation"

My hands shook as I stood at ryomas door. I didn't open the door. I was scared of what I'd find in there. I had a vague idea but I was scared to face it.

I turned back to shuichi and keade. They were shaking like leafs in a autumn breeze. I knew there was no way I could ask them to open the door. It was up to me.

I took a deep breath and opened the door..

"ahhhhh!"

The screamed echoed across the room. Screams that belonged to the people behind me. I simply stood there stunned. I was somehow numb to this now. Kaito, tenko and maki were already inside. Our eyes were all glued to one thing.

Standing in front of us was ryomas hanging body. It swung back and forth like some sickening pendant. I covered my mouth. I feel sick.

"he really did it" shuichi said shakingly "he died for us just like he said he would"

"ryoma" keade fell to her knees "I'm so sorry. It's all because I wasn't fast enough. RYOMA!!!" she shook her head helplessly and screamed.

The others ran inside and more screamed echoed across the room. I swallowed painfully as sweat dripped down my forehead. This is it. The Killing Game has truly begun!
