Yoongi || Yoonhwa
The future is a miraculously thing. The way small decisions and choices we make can change our lives drastically. It doesn't take a whole lot to make your life crumble in a thousand pieces right before your eyes.
The things we think that'd never happen is only just a possibility; and we, ourselves, truthfully have no idea what path we are walking in.
After all, we're all just trying to live life in our own image, yet life isn't what we think, but what we are being deceived of. It isn't a walk in the park and only Yoongi thinks this way of the life he has chosen.
His ruthless ways that are uncontrollable. His two identities sharing one body that is bound to be fought over.
What would you risk?
Will the powerful always win? Will the weak believe in the place that is chosen for them to stay? Only the weak can become so much more than what it is actually imaged as. To prove the powerful wrong.
Yoonhwa has been working her ass of days upon days just to get a check that'd support her so little. Not a single paycheck she'd get was worth any of the excessive amount of work she has been putting into her job.
With her background of being well off by a family who is very fortunate to have money; Yoonhwa felt as if she needed to do something on her own. Her parents owned a restaurant and became very successful, but Yoonhwa felt as if she didn't want things to be given to her. Or be spoon-fed like a child. Yoonhwa wanted to earn the best she could on her own: to prove her self worth.
With a job working in a mental institution—it has been rough. The patient, Min Yoongi has grown a clingy liking to Yoonhwa.
He'd always want Yoonhwa and only Yoonhwa when treating him, or else he'll raise hell. It's easy for him to get his way though because of his dominance and fear he strikes in people's hearts.
Yet—it always seemed to be the polar opposite with Yoonhwa. He'd like the fact that she was very confident and straightforward. It's something that just made him attracted to her since it wasn't seen very often at all.
Like all things, that soon ended. People say, a pretty face is dangerous, and its most definitely true. Yoonhwa ended up getting fired even though her effort was always an A+.
What she didn't know was that Yoongi and Suga was mentally struggling. Struggling with the fact that she was actually gone.
The thought of never being able to see or be in the same building as her drove him crazy. It's been said that Suga would be more present now rather than Yoongi. With Yoonhwa's time there—Yoongi was often more present than his other identity.
In fact, he were so devastated that it was rumored that the boy whom was deceived as a psychopath went missing from the facility.
~
Yoonhwa was preparing herself for bed as she did her normal midnight routine.
She was in the bathroom cleansing her face as the whole house creaked to the morose weather outside. The noise of constant droplets of water hit against the windows, as Yoonhwa lifted her head from the sink. The water streamed down her face while she looked at herself in the mirror.
Yoonhwa patted her wet skin while heaving out a sigh. The rumor was honestly bothering her, and the worst part was that no information of the boy's identity was given. The only news she knew about was that one of the patients went missing.
The flash backs of Yoongi and Suga played in her head like a lost tape. The time she remembered when both identities confessed feelings towards her.
Suga was always the more straightforward one while Yoongi was a bit more shy.
Yoonhwa knew devolving a close bond would be dangerous, and it was just something hard risking everything for. Especially for a guy with his reputation.
Yoonhwa shook these thoughts out her head while making way into bed. The whole house was dark while the strikes of lighting would zap some source of light. Yet it didn't keep Yoonhwa from falling into a deep sleep.
She lived in a large home, which is why she was struggling to pay off the various bills and such. She didn't even own a car, and would have to take the bus everywhere she went, but it wasn't like she needed to be anywhere at the moment. She was unemployed.
Yoonhwa's emotional feelings were just something she held in at the time being. Right now she had no one to turn to. Her family wasn't in the same area as her, and she just didn't want to look pathetic crawling back with little to give. She wasn't going to give up her pride, but rather still move on.
It was raining hard—this , Yoonhwa knew. But she didn't think it would be as bad to start a leak in the ceiling. Her sleep was disturbed by droplets of water dripping down on her cheek.
If anything, being woken up from sleep was Yoonhwa's top pet peeve. So to this—she let out an annoyed moan as her hand wiped off the water from her face.
The room had been so dark that opening her eyes really didn't make much of a difference. It was only the sudden strikes of lighting that made Yoonhwa realize that the ceiling hadn't been leaking.
With each lighting strike a silhouette of a body stood stern at the side of her bed. The shadow was short, stocky, and must've been soaking wet from the various rain drops Yoonhwa felt land on her skin.
Never had Yoonhwa experienced an intruder in her home before. In fact, she just stood completely still as she stated up at the dark shadow.
From what seemed like an eternity, Yoonhwa finally acted out. In fact, she knew exactly how to defend herself due to her experience with Muay Thai.
Yoonhwa was quick and swift with her movements, but so were they. There was no doubt Yoonhwa hit him forcefully due to the various winces and grunts heard. But it all came down to being overpowered by strength.
The figure grabbed a hand full of Yoonhwa hair and practically dragged her, but she didn't give up easily. Various cusses and lashes were directed at the intruder.
It was so bad until Yoonhwa's mouth was covered with a clothe that had an odd smell. It was a sharp sensation that sent chills throughout her body until she could no longer feel it. Her limbs instantly became limp as her eyes struggled to stay open—still in a fight to get out of their grip.
BLACKOUT
Yoonhwa's eyes peeled open hesitantly as the area around her was nothing but hazy. The concrete floor was cold to the touch and caused chills to run up her spine.
Yoonhwa's body was practically drugged, so it took a few moments to at least have a blurry view of what she could actually comprehend to see.
Realization was that she was actually still in her house.
In her own basement.
Her hands and ankles were bounded together by duct-tape as her body laid stiffly on the rough floor. Still letting her eyes adjust to the hazy vision while seeing a figure walk into frame.
"How could you—leave me in that prison with all those bitches?!"
Yoonhwa was practically taking in all the nasty comments directed at her, but in her head she was firing back. Her body was still drugged so only thoughts were louder than her words.
"You aren't shit! You're like anyone else working in that shit-hole with little to care for! Now that I have you— "
The male kneeled down on the floor; unable to make out a smirk on his face that was bound to be there.
He reached out his hand to grab a hand full of her hair, as he forced her head up to stay directly at him,"Look at me!"
From squinting Yoonhwa knew who this exactly was from the start. Suga yelling mindlessly at her with little to no shits to give, and it honestly bothered her knowing she could do little to defend herself.
For a split second Yoonhwa felt the grip on her hair slightly loosen, and could've swore saw Suga's face grow soft,"Why did you leave me?"
It was the hardest thing Yoonhwa ever experienced while trying to speak out words, and you could barely hear her whispered words,"Yoongi?"
The name of a boy whom was greatly attached to a girl he wanted all to himself suddenly changed. His pupils dilated, and in an instant Yoongi was no longer Yoongi. Yoonhwa knew this by the sudden unbreakable tightening of her hair in his palm again.
This was nothing like the boy she met at the mentally hospital would do. They wouldn't had hurt Yoonhwa let alone even touch her without being scared to accidentally bruise or scratch her skin. But here they are. Doing the complete opposite.
And just like that, Yoonhwa rested her head on the floor, as his words just become nothing but a hazy with little meaning. Her droopy eyes gradually shut closed.
The last thing Yoonhwa saw was him rushing over to her limp body; giving it a stern shake before another blackout.
~
Yoongi sat on the cold concrete floor with his face buried in his knees, as his arms sheltered around himself for some sort of closure. His jet black hair covered over his eyes slightly to mask over the tinted red color of it.
It's been a whole day and Yoonhwa was still knocked out from the drugs Suga had forced onto her.
It all started when the staff started to run low on employees, and he just wasn't getting the proper help he needed. But Yoongi truly believed he didn't even need to be locked behind locked doors at a mental asylum.
Suga was just nothing more than a bad attitude, but it was suddenly progressed into more when Yoongi found himself to be so timid, and breakable that it caused Suga to take over most of the time.
It became so much more, and Yoongi couldn't even remember the last time he was considered sane, or the last he saw of his family. Suga was basically like a sibling sharing the same body. Or the demon sitting on his shoulder taking the wheel of his life to decide which direction to go.
Nonetheless, here Yoongi was, sitting patiently on the floor waiting for the slightest move from Yoonhwa. But it wasn't until midnight that her eye lids slowly fluttered open. Poor girl, probably thought it was a bad dream.
Yoongi immediately straightened his back while crawling over to Yoonhwa's body. Easily picking up her body from the cold floor to place her on his lap, as her head rested on his arm.
This was completely Yoongi, no Suga for now. The sight of Yoonhwa's gleams brown eyes to finally be open was definitely a sight he wouldn't forget. It was something that made Yoongi heave out a relieved sigh too.
Yoonhwa's bounded wrists burned red from how tight the tape had been, but her knuckles faded white; as she compressed her fists until forcing all the strength she had to punch Yoongi's face.
Yoongi instantly let go of Yoonhwa's body to feel over his left cheekbone in agony; he let out groans of pain.
Yoonhwa dragged her body away from Yoongi since her wrists and ankles were bounded,"What the fuck is wrong with you?! Who you think you are to be breaking into my home—hurting me in my own home—You sick fuck!"
Yoongi lifted his face in guilt as he stil held onto his face that was evidently red from her punch,"It wasn't me."
Yoonhwa face suddenly became soft,"Yoongi—?"
He didn't reply back. Instead Yoongi got up, walked over to Yoonhwa's body, and dropped to his knees. The drop had been so hard it made Yoonhwa wince for how hard Yoongi's knees bashed onto the concrete.
His eyes—covered in black hair, his face—bruised, but the warmth of his embraced as he draped his arms over her shoulders—protection.
So much has been clouding Yoonhwa's head she couldn't help, but finally let all her emotions out. The emotion of failure, loneliness, isolation, and the feelings kept away about Yoongi. It was all too much to keep in at a moment like this.
Yoonhwa buried her head into his shoulders as the clothe of his sweater damped from tears. Yoongi even rubbed his hand up and down her back for comfort, despite the coldness of it.
"I've realized a lot I've done to you." Yoongi stopped caressing her back as he lifted out a knife from the pocket of his sweater. Putting it against the tape to cut it off of Yoonhwa,"I shouldn't had let him done this. I was against it, but then I got too selfish."
Yoongi's cold hands ran up Yoonhwa body to cup her wet cheeks,"I—should let you live your life."
That was enough to sent Yoonhwa's body stiff. It was the last thing she hoped for. She didn't want this either, and she knew Yoongi didn't mean his words by the guilty look on his face.
"I've hurt a lot of people unintentionally, and it's always something I know I'll regret for the rest of my life. Hurting you emotionally, and physically just makes me think—I shouldn't be selfish."
Yoonhwa shook her head and clutched onto Yoongi's sweater,"Is it because I never shared my feelings towards you? If you want the truth I'll give it to you! I'm scared—scared that you'll be so much of a risk to start something with, and I don't know what to do."
Yoongi heaved out a sigh knowing it was very true,"I have to go back, fuck! I want something! I want to be here for you, but I can't not with him!"
Yoongi wanted to be saved but there was already so little Yoonhwa could offer.
There was just a sense of hopelessness. How could something like this possibly happen, or even go right. Yoonhwa was lost for all hope until she felt the lips of Yoongi accompany her own.
Slow but passionate. It was just enough of rough yet emotion to show how much Yoongi needed Yoonhwa there by his side. His words weren't needed, but instead his actions showed Yoonhwa exactly how strongly he felt towards her.
"From now on there will be no bullshit. I will never—with all my power—let him hurt you. Because of my brokenness he exists, but because of you I'll never let this happen again. I'll always be here to protect you."
