Aaron × Aurora: Family First
His anger showed in his eyes.
"What is it with you!? It's all work and Aphmau. You never are home!" I shouted.
"Well, you know I have to be at work since you still don't have a job!"
"Well exCUSE me for staying home with Sara, Casey, and Hope all the time!" I angrily spit out.
Aaron growled angrily at me. "Well then YOU take the time to know what I go through! Then I hear you hooked up with someone then LIE to me!?"
"I didn't mean to! And that was ten freaking years ago! You didn't get mad then!" I shouted.
"That's because I loved you! And I loved her as well!" He angrily said.
Loved?
"What is WRONG with you now!? What happened to you!?" I shouted again before his eyes burned brighter than fire lit coals...before...
He slapped me.
I gasped in surprise, hitting the floor from the impact.
"Just go to freaking hell Aurora!" Aaron spat at me before slamming the front door.
I stayed crumpled on the ground motionless. I couldn't move. I was too scared. I sat there on the floor before finally getting up.
My cheek stung even more than anything.
"Daddy Daddy," Casey giggled as he ran down the stairs, running over before stopping. Casey looked around the room beside me. "Where Daddy," He asked.
I was quiet before smiling comfortingly at him, "Daddy's still at work honey..."
Casey giggled before hugging me, "Momma, Momma!"
I giggled for a moment as I hugged him back. It was quiet for a few moments.
All of my thoughts were wandering back to the fight from just moments ago...
I sighed as the kids got tucked into bed. I smiled gently as I kissed my three children's heads. The door silently closed as my feet gently tapped the floor to the office room. I normally only went in to clean because it was Aaron's work room but.. I know he is right.
It's not right for me to be rude amd not see his side... Maybe I should just follow what I've done wrong and find a sitter for the kids and... I get a job. Its wrong for him to do this and I don't help him with it..
My hand quickly clicked the mouse, looking through job openings. I bit my lip as the door opened downstairs. I left the computer at a babysitter as my feet already took me to the stairs. I bit my lip, grabbing my gun from my bag.
It was still dark. No one turned lights on. I saw the figure before switching a light on and aiming, the person dropping something from their hands.
"A-Aurora, put it down.." A familiar voice stuttered.
I stopped, looking at them. I bit my lip before lowering the gun, "What are you doing...?"
It was Aaron. He was carrying a briefcase, which was the thing he had dropped, "Why are you pointing a gun at me?" He asked, his voice becoming a little cold.
I frowned, "You're walking in the house. At two o'clock. At night. In the dark. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO DO WITH THE KIDS UPSTAIRS." I whisper shouted, half angry, half confused.
"I didn't know if you were up..." He said softly. "Aurora just.. Please calm down-"
I looked at him, "Calm down? Its been a day and a half. Where have you been? The kids have been asking me where you have been!"
Aaron bit his lip, his hand touching his neck. His top buttons were messed up and his hair was messed up. I just stared at him.
"What.. did you do..." I whispered.
"I-I'm sorry, Aurora.. I didn't mean it. You've mad at me for weeks and we havent been getting along.. Just.. I had to unwind." He said.
"Unwind? How. Where the hell were you!? Huh?" I frowned.
He sighed as he explained. My jaw clenched together before I looked down. "You... Hooked up with some stranger!?" I shrieked, grabbing my gun and slamming it on the counter.
Aaron bit his lip, "I'm sorry that you have been a bitch to me for so long that I seriously doubt you still love me!"
"Doubt it!? Hell I freaking married you!" I shouted, stepping toward him, "I'm sorry, I didnt realize my being a parent got in the WAY!"
"Well you sure as hell don't talk to me anymore!"
"I thought you wanted some space! I wasn't going to be the clingy ass girl and drive you away!"
Aaron growled, his eyes changing into fury, "Oh? You're a little bitch who can't control herself, driving me away because you have to bitch your problems to me!"
I looked at him before stopping. "Fine."
"Fine? Fine!?"
"You heard me. Fine. What happened to family. Huh? Who went off, showed infidelity, and then came back acting like nothing was wrong. What made you come back, huh?" I said.
"I came back because I realized my damn mistake. Maybe I was wrong to come back. I'm leaving." He turned.
I stopped, "Aaron... Please don't..." My head hurt. I couldnt believe what I had just said.
He didn't stop. He grabbed his ring and pulled it off. "You're a bitch. I never should have married you." He looked back at me.
Tears instantly came into my eyes as he slammed the door behind him. I collapsed to the floor, crying.
No...nonono... this can't be happening...
I closed my eyes. I tried to wake up. I tried so hard. This had to be a nightmare.
But it wasn't. Tears stung my eyes, my knees burned from falling to the floor, indents in my hands from clenching my fists.
I wish I could have just taken it all back. But this was real. He left. He took his ring off.
He doesn't love me anymore... He's... He's gone.
I went back upstairs to the computer. A nightshift job showed up. An hour passed as I typed an application. Searches went to find a babysitter as well as another nightshift.
I can't be upset... This is my family. I have to take care of them.
We aren't broken enough to fall... But it's not gonna be easy..
