Mingi identifies as a transgender male.
Yunho was there for him whenever he had a bad day. The rest of the members don't take too kindly to the reveal.

"yunho what would you do if I was a guy?" mingi asked yunho at lunch. The male in question just bit into his sandwich and shrugged.

"there wouldn't be much difference, you'd still be my best friend" he said with a smile. Mingi smiled in relief and nodded.
"so if I identified as trans would you still be my friend?" mingi bluntly said causing yunho to choke on his sandwich.

"you want to be a guy?" yunho asked and at mingis nod he smiled.
"if that's what you wish then do it" yunho said.

From then on yunho was there for all of mingis surgery's, doctors appointments and his new gender.

"mingi let's go!" yunho yelled. The two had gotten into a company as trainees.
Yunho waited by the door as he saw a sleepy mingi. He blushed slightly as the male was half naked.

Yunho waited for mingi to get dressed and ready before they could leave.
They both walked out of yunhos home and headed to the company they got into.

It was the beginning of their future.

Time skip, present ateez.

"yunho I don't know what to do" mingi whispered to the other who was cuddling him. Yunho hummed and detached himself.

"they don't know about me yet and I'm scared I'll never be able to tell them." mingi whispered with his deep voice as he grew tired.

"mingi you don't have to tell them if you don't want to, this is who you are they shouldn't judge you for who you are, if they do then they aren't your friends or family. You have me" yunho said with a small smile, mingi sighed and turned onto his side and looked at yunho before he kissed his lips.

"they should know, so they don't ask about my scars, ive been lucky so far but who says my luck won't ever run out." mingi sighed and stroked yunhos head, yunho sighed and hugged mingi.

"don't worry mingi I'm always there for you and if that's what you think that's what's best then I'll support you" yunho said and fell asleep.

"thank you" mingi whispered and laid himself back onto his back and pulled yunho closer. The cover shifted on their naked bodies and mingi sighed.

He fell asleep slightly anxious but he felt safe with yunho.

The next morning mingi decided he wanted to tell them. He was sure that they might understand because they had known him for a while.

So he took a deep breath and released it to calm his nerves, he left yunho asleep and moved his pillow to the older arms and walked out the room with no shirt on. He was very self conscious but he wanted to let them know.

So he walked out and into the living room where everyone was.
The stares he got were emotionless.
"those scars..." San said as he approached mingi and poked at them.
He grimaced and gulped.

"you're a girl?!" San yelled when he realised. Mingi felt a twinge of pain at being called a girl when he clearly was a male. San continued to state at him in disgust and shivered when the realisation of mingi watching them dress.

"your fucking disgusting, you watched us dress!" San yelled getting the attention of everyone and snapping them out of shock. Mingi could feel his heart clenching as he realised none of them accepted him, he bit his lip to stop tears and wrapped his arms around his chest.

That seemed to be the last straw for them as they started to degrade him, belittle him and calling him not normal.
He wanted to return to yunhos side and just turn back time.

Within minutes everyone was gasping for breath as they finished their hate and glanced at the person they forced it on.
Mingi had looked down and started crying. His heart and trust has completely shattered and he was really upset.

He couldn't trust them anymore. Yunho had arrived and gasped instantly pulling mingi into a hug and covering him from the sight of the others.
Yunhos heart broke from seeing his boyfriend in tears. Ignoring the pain in his hips he picked up mingi and pulled him to the bedroom and laid on bed with him and cuddled him, reassuring him and loving him.

Mingi cried well into the morning before he calmed down and fell asleep from exhaustion.

Yunho felt so bad, he wasn't there as he was asleep and seeing mingi breakdown like this broke his heart.

Yunho stayed by mingis side until he woke up again.

Mingi had woken up and hugged yunho tightly.

"I think I need a break" he said and yunho almost started crying but nodded.
