Note: In chapter 4, it said that there were 361 men in the army of the Guardians. Change that to 7,396.

"What do you mean no?" General John Parker asked with sad disappointment

Steve and Alex were taken into Parker's office. After Alex said no, Ted told Joey and Watson to escort them to his room.

"We're not going to help fight in this war. Period." Alex answered stubbornly

"Okay, so you want to be kicked out of the sector with nothing at all. We would put you in Sector 58, which is infested with mobs and has many criminals living there. What isn't common there are trees." He said with a stern look in his stare.

"You can't just blackmail us!" Alex retorted back.

"You're right we can't blackmail you. We can persuade you." The general said.

"Yeah, right." Alex said sarcastically.

Watson rolled his eyes.

"Let's say Herobrine created an extremely powerful superweapon," He explained, "Something that could destroy the world. Something that not even Notch could destroy. Notch's spies learned that Herobrine is searching for this legendary sword."

"The Sacred Sword." Joey added.

"We believe he can create some mechanism and the sword is like a key that he puts in it. This can assist him in ruling our world. And we doubt Minecraft will last long when Herobrine takes over." John stated.

"We're only two people!" Alex said as if they were dumb and didn't know. "How is that gonna help destroy Herobrine?"

"We have persuaded many people, the more the merrier." Watson said.

"Honey," Steve said to Alex, "I think I should have a say in this."

"Oh, so you think I'm completely ignoring you and I'm not a good wife?" Alex yelled, clearly aggravated.

"Well, you are a good wife but you are ignoring me." Steve said sheepishly.

"Alright, you may express your opinion." Alex said.

"I think we should join them."

"SEE! None of us want to- wait what?" Alex asked, puzzled now.

"We should join them." Steve said simply.

"But, but you wanted to explore the world, remember?" Alex said, trying to convince Steve to change his mind.

"Being a Guardian grants a chance to explore the world." John added.

"Yeah, and I always thought it was fun to slay some monsters." Steve said.

Alex turned her head slowly to face the General. She glared at them. Then she sighed.

"Fine." Alex gave in.

"Excellent," Parker said proud that it worked, "We are going to have lunch soon. You are dismissed."

The new recruits walked out of the room into the main area.

"I did this for you." Alex said

"Well, wouldn't it be boring?" Steve asked.

"I guess so." Alex said after a few seconds of thinking.

"There it is!"

The skeleton squad found the village. They are hiding in the woods.

"What is our plan of attack, sir?" Asked the fourth skeleton who barely talked.

"I don't think we should attack, we are clearly outnumbered." The leader explained.

They heard a buzz.

"Oh, it is my intercom," said the leader. He held up some device. "This is SU-9224 speaking."

"SU-9224," came a voice from the intercom. "We are commencing attack on Dullsville. We have new fighters that need to be tested." It said.

"Copy that, we are clear from the target." SU replied. "Well, they are bringing a show right to us." Commander said to his men-monsters.

8 ships were flying to sector 63.

"Approaching Dullsville." One pilot stated. He was human.

"Cut speed to 26%." Another pilot ordered.

The ships slowed down. A village with 3 watchtowers was in sight.

"Weapons ready." The second pilot commanded

Steve and Alex were eating grilled cheese with Johnathan, Ted, Brandon and some other Guardians in the lair.

Ted put down his sandwich. "We're glad you joined."

Alex shrugged.

They heard an explosion outside in the village.

Everyone got up.

"What the nether was that?" One guardian shouted.

Another explosion.

The siren sounded four times.

Alex remembered the sign about the alarm. 4 was the worst.

The village was under attack.

"Oh frick!" General yelled. "We gotta get every villager in here."

"Is their enough space?" Steve asked.

"We have many small rooms in the sides." Brandon answered for him.

Everyone rushed outside.

Ships were flying around shooting thick laser bolts. Villagers were running.

A voice was heard on speakers from the Town Hall.

"Please evacuate to the underground lair. Do not hide in the houses. Repeat, do NOT hide in the houses."

A few guardians were shooting the ships with explosive arrows from the watchtowers. One ship exploded.

A small house was obliterated. Hopefully nobody was in it.

"You two go to that supermarket and escort citizens to the shelter." Parker barked at Steve and Alex.

"Come on." Steve grabbed Alex and ran to the supermarket.

They burst in and saw items fallen off the shelves. There were screams.

"Okay, everybody, be calm, we are going to take you to the lair. Follow us." Steve heads out. A few people followed him. Alex looked around to see if anybody was still there. She saw nothing and left.

Steve led the group with Alex taking the back.  They were in a row of houses.

"This way." Steve told the others. He started running until he stopped.

Four skeletons were in his way.

Watson got two people out of a library. Joey came up to him.

"The school might have some people!" He told Watson

A ship blasted part of the roof. Joey dodged a wooden plank.

Watson squinted. "What the?"

"What?" Joey asked.

Watson pointed.

A ship that was bigger than the others landed at the end of the village. The front of it opened to make a ramp. What they saw was bad.

30 zombies stepped out with golden chestplates and stone axes.

One zombie had a diamond helmet as well.

Other Guardians noticed this.

"Oh crap." Parker said.

The zombies started running towards them.
