Part 3: Chapter 4 - Confrontation
"So," I said, "after hearing all this, do you still want to do it?" Hailbert pondered about the question as I stared at the darkened sky.
With a sudden jolt, I remembered the prophecy. I looked at Hailbert, who was still thinking about it. I can't be sure.
"I will still do it," came the determined reply. "The murderer must pay, and I will bring them to justice."
Is Hailbert really the one? I thought, still unconvinced.
Trust your judgement. Those words echoed in my mind. I came to a realisation that I must trust myself and what the prophecy foretold.
"Frost?" Hailbert said. "You seem to blank out for a moment there."
"Oh," I blinked. "Sorry about that."
"You look like you have something to tell me," he said.
Is it that obvious? I looked at him and sighed. "Yes, I do. Recently I received a prophecy: when vengeance strikes, only the hails of justice can put an end to the chaos. I think you are the one that this prophecy foretold."
"I'm no hero," Hailbert replied, frowning. "I... can't even save my parents, much less the world. You must be mistaken."
"No," I shook my head. "I am certain that you are the one. Even without me, you would have gone to fight the person causing the chaos. I believe that you are strong enough."
Hailbert hesitated. "I am honoured... I guess," he said. "I will try my best."
Relieved, I put my hand on his shoulder. "Come on, you can sleep at my house for now. Tomorrow, we can track the murderer's lair."
Hailbert nodded, tired from the day's turn of events. I was tired too, from all the drama and confusion about the prophecy - basically everything.
I slid down the ladder and headed back home with a companion.

I woke up early, trying to figure out the culprit. Hailbert was still asleep and snoring loudly, much to my annoyance.
What if the person who killed Hailbert's parents is the same one that influenced Tom? that thought just jolted into my head.
Well, it's a possibility, I decided. My gaze fell on the blade of my enchanted diamond sword and I walked towards it to pick it up.
Holding it made me feel more confident. After all, it was the blade that took down the Skeleton King and Herobrine.
Its history is very fascinating. Apparently, my sword used to be a powerful weapon, until someone separated its enchantments to other parts of the world to prevent evil doers from obtaining it.
I found the first piece during the battle with the Skeleton King and the map. I wondered why the giant skeleton had not claimed it before I came.
It took a long time, but I got all the enchantment books as listed in the map. I don't know why, but it seems to be missing something.
I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn't realised that Hailbert had got up, rubbing his eyes tiredly.
"Morning," he mumbled. I returned the greeting politely and kept my sword in my inventory.
"Whenever you are ready," I told him, walking towards my mini farm filled with potatoes.
I sat down on a chair and watched the potatoes grow. "So this is what the Kingdom's hero do in her free time," Hailbert said, appearing at the doorway with a cup. "Staring at potatoes that hardly grow."
"They do grow," I said. "It takes time."
A fierce wind buffeted my face and it disappeared as fast as it came. "Strange wind," Hailbert commented.
"It's the almost exact same one that I felt before I fought Herobrine," I leaped up from my seat. "It is showing us the way."
I recognised the direction where the wind was blowing and narrowed my eyes. Herobrine's old castle...
"Do you know where to go?" Hailbert asked.
"Yes. Get ready. We might be going into the most difficult battle of your life."

I never thought I would head there again. My hands were trembling and I tried to fight the urge to turn around and pretended nothing happened.
However, I couldn't just do that. Whoever the new threat was, the fate of the Kingdom and perhaps the world was hanging on it.
I stared at the giant, intimidating castle in front of me. I took a deep breath, readying myself for what's to come.
Hailbert took out an iron sword and waited for my signal to go in. I took out my own sword, and silently willed it to give me strength. Strangely, it glowed even brighter, as if it was responding to my thoughts.
"Let's go."
