~ Skyla—
Wait stop.
What?
I don't want to be called Skylar. It's girly.
It's not girly!
I think most of the readers agree that it is.
Yeah we do.
Can I get a new name?
Listen, I gave you that name for a reason pal. And you're not doing anything but making the chapter seem longer by complaining.
Can I at least get a cool nickname? Like Lightning?
Half of readers: Lightning is cool.
Other half of readers: Lightning is stupid.
No.
Come ooooon
No.
Then you choose. But nothing girly.
Sigh. Okay how about Sky? It's a part of your name, doesn't sound girly, and is the nickname of one of my favorite youtubers.
Hmmmmm.
Hmmm
Okay!
We are losers.
I agree with both.
Ok I'm good now.
Let's finally start the chapter.
~ Sky ~
I like that. Okay so where were we.
Ah yes.
I was scaling down the side of a mountain. It was less dangerous than I thought it would be, but I still could miss a step and fall to my death.
So a lot was at stake.
I made it about halfway down the mountain when I saw something to my right. It was a cave entrance. I cautiously walked over to it and saw that it went deep into the ground at a steep downward slant.
Though something felt... off.
It was like the cave was pulling me toward it. To go inside. But then again, the air outside felt so good. The breeze rippled my shirt and blew against my face.
It was like a crossroad for the young hero. A fork in the road of his journey. Which way should he go?
The right choice was obvious. I couldn't go down there. I had nothing to protect me with. Plus, what was the point? I needed to find civilization, not diamonds. That was saved for later.
I continued to descend down.

I fell to my knees on the ground. The flat ground. I finally made it down the mountain. There was no need to watch my step. Well okay there was, but not as big as a need from before.
The biome was a mountain one. I was in a wide valley at the moment, with a river and two trees. The mountain in front of me was more like a large hill, easy to get across.
"Idiot." I hissed at myself. I should've gotten a view of the surrounding land when I had that high advantage point. That would've helped me find where I should've gone. Why didn't I think of that?
I walked over to the two trees and started punching the oak wood. Eventually, I got 11 pieces of wood. I turned them all into wooden planks, and got 44 wood. I made a crafting table (thank goodness I remembered how to Minecraft) and some sticks. Finally, I made a wood sword. I also made a wood pick, and wood axe. There was no need to make a shovel and hoe.
I destroyed the crafting table with the axe, and pulled out my sword. The sun was still up, and a little bit into the afternoon, but I still wanted to have a weapon out just in case.
A few minutes later, I crossed the river and made it up the hill. There wasn't much of a view. Just a bunch of more mountains.
I groaned and turned around. The giant mountain was in the way. The left— more mountains. The right— more mountains.
Surrounded. Fantastic.
But then again... I didn't know what was behind the giant mountain. It could've been more mountains. It could've been a whole new biome. It was the best chance I had.
I started to walk along the hill to get a better view of what laid beyond. As I walked, I tried to remember something.
"My name is Skylar." I said out loud. "But that's girly, so my name is Sky. I am a teenager. Maybe 17. That seems to be the best. I woke up with no memory except my name. I woke up on a giant mountain. And now I'm down here."
I moved to avoid a cave entrance. There seemed to be a lot around here.
"My name is Sky. I am around 17 years old. I come from... I come from... a place?" I growled frustratedly. "Okay. I come from a place. My friends are... My friends... My family..." I looked down.
"Sky?" A voice called.
I whipped my head around. The voice belonged to a girl that had just climbed out of the cave entrance I passed, about 10 blocks away. She was slightly breathing heavily, and had her hand clasped on her arm, but she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Though that could've been only because I had no memory.
She had short dark brown hair, dark skin, and brown eyes. She wore a dark green long sleeve shirt, a black vest, light blue jeans, and black sneakers. She also had black gloves on. It didn't seem like she was trying to look pretty, but I thought she was.
"Hi. Uh, should I know you?" I asked, wondering who she was, and if she was a part of my past. Maybe a girlfriend perhaps...?
She tilted her head. "No, I don't think so. I just heard you mumble your name from up here."
"Oh..." I rubbed the back of my head. "I don't really remember anything. I was hoping that you could help, but..."
"You have no memory?" She asked, walking closer.
"No." I frowned. "I just spawned on that freaking mountain knowing nothing except my name."
"That's not good." She bit her lip, looking off into the distance. "You're gonna need help and guidance. Okay, if I'm correct, we're at the edge of the Blocky Mountains (( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))..."
"At the edge?" I repeated. "As in there are bigger mountains than this?"
"Yes. Some even go close to the building limit. Anyways, that means the nearest town is Hidenburg, to the west." She looked up near the sun, and trailed her hand down to where it would set. "If we go that way, we'd hit it before sunset." She started to walk that way.
"'We'? As in you're coming too?" I jogged to catch up with her.
"I gotta make sure you don't kill yourself. Plus, I need supplies for my journey back to my village."
"You didn't bring supplies to a mining trip? And why are you so far away from your village?"
"Wow, you ask a lot of questions." She gave a few little puffs for a laugh. "I didn't mean to be down there. I know it sounds crazy, but I just kinda woke up down there with nothing."
"That's kinda like my expe... Wait what's wrong with your arm?" I asked.
She moved her hand to reveal a wound mark. "Shot by an annoying skeleton."
"Wait you got shot?!" I exclaimed. "Wh... We need to patch that up for you!"
"It's fine." She gave a better laugh. "It's not deep. Doesn't hurt."
(Amber's PoV: hurts like a sonovabirch. But I didn't want this Sky guy to worry about me. I didn't want to appear weak.)
"Are you sure...? It looks pretty bad."
She sighed. "If it hurt, I'd tell you. I'm fine. It just feels awkward leaving it out in the open."
"I guess..." I muttered. Wow, she's strong.
"By the way," she added. "I'm Amber."

~ Cole ~
Blazes were shooting fire at me. Wither skeletons tried to swing at me with their swords. Zombie pigmen were in the way of everything. Some magma slimes were trying to squish me.
Needless to say, my time in the fortress was not pleasant.
Every time I turned a corner, there were always new mobs to face, new obstacles to overcome. Luckily, I was a pretty good fighter, and managed to not get hurt. But it was a workout.
I didn't even know where I was going. Maybe I was trying to find a nether portal. Although that's a rare thing. People did visit the nether, but their portals were mostly hidden. Plus, it's a vast land, so not a good chance.
I walked up some stairs into an empty corridor. The first hall that didn't have mobs in it.
I sat against the wall to rest, and wiped my forehead. I had been going for a few hours. The heat made me start to sweat. I was also starving. I didn't know whether if it was just the nether, or maybe I was unconscious for a while and it had been forever since I'd eaten. Either way, the pigmen looked delicious at that time.
Speaking of pigmen, I heard an oink and a clatter from right below me. The pink didn't bother me, since zombie pigmen were peaceful unless provoked, and I didn't hit them or anything. But the clatter meant a wither skeleton. And I did not want to get the wither effect.
I got up reluctantly and walked across the hall to the intersection. Ahead was a dead end. To the right was a long hallway. But the left held a chest, and turned right.
When I opened the chest, I frowned. There were 4 pieces of dirt, and 2 string. They were all in the middle. That meant that someone already looted it. Someone was here before.
Excited by the though of another person, I started walking. Maybe they had a nether portal that was close by. Even if they were a bad person, I needed to get to the regular world.
I rolled up my sleeves and ran my hand through my hair. For once I wished I had cut it.
Footsteps.
Before I could turn around, an arrow whizzed by my face. I jumped back against the wall and jerked my head toward where it came from. A guy in full iron armor and a bow was further down the hall, about 30 blocks away.
"Don't shoot!" I raised my hands. "I'm unarmed."
He pulled out a diamond sword and charged toward me. I immediately turned around and started to sprint down the hallway.
Out of all the people in the world I had to encounter a killer. They were rare, the murderers that killed for loot. It was even rarer to find ones that ended lives for fun. Like this fellow.
As I neared a corner, I jumped. My feet touched the wall and I took a few steps before I jumped off and continued running on the floor. Wait. Did I mention I was good at parkour like that? Cause I am.
As soon as I looked up, I almost halted. At the end of the hall was a glowing purple portal. That made me sprint faster.
I jumped into the portal and waited for the few seconds of delay. Through the purple spirals and partial nausea, I saw that the guy threw his sword. It sailed through the air.

The world turned upside down as I teleported. I closed my eyes to help with the situation. I always hated teleporting, whether it was with enderpearls or portals.
When the world regenerated itself around me, I immediately checked my stomach. No sword was sticking out.
Since the guy was going to catch up to me in a few seconds, I started to run again. But I did get a good view of my surroundings.
It was around midday, with the sun hidden by some puffy clouds. I was in a plains biome with rolling hills and a lot of animals. In the way of where I was running was a giant three story house. It was made of sandstone and regular oak wood, which was an odd yet pretty combination. There were lots of open windows, even a chimney, and a garden next to the house.
Now, I know what you're thinking. Why would you go to the killer's house? Well, if I got some kind of armor and a weapon, I could fight him. I'm not comfortable with killing people, but if they were purposely murderers, then I had no choice.
I ran up the stairs, and allowed the pressure plate to open the iron doors. I pushed the door against the wall so it wouldn't close, and looked back to the portal. The guy chasing me was hurtling down the grass with his sword back in his hand. I quickly mined both of the wooden pressure plates and shut the door. Then, I placed the 4 dirt in front of it to hold him off more.
I took a split second to look around. His place opened to a living room first, with a flat screen tv on the back wall next to giant windows. I was facing the back of a couch, with a chair to the left and right. To the right was a kitchen, but I didn't get a good view of it. To the right of the kitchen was a set of stairs. To the left of me was an open area with a table, and past that were two doors.
But the terrifying thing was the trophies. Heads of people hung on the walls like trophies. All kinds of weapons, from wood swords to diamond axes, were lining the walls. This guy was a glorified slaughterer and he wasn't afraid to show it.
As soon as I heard a sound by the door, I raced up the steps.
"I'm comin' for you!" The guy screamed from outside.
"No thanks I'm good." I huffed to myself as I reached the top.

Looks like Sky and Amber found each other. I wonder what that means ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
But sigh Cole what trouble did you get yourself into.
Lol, I only just made the decision of adding the whole chase thing today, so I never got a chance to build the house. But I do plan on it, and I'll update the story to put the imagines in it.
And now that I finally published this story, I can work on my other book's chapter (due tomorrow) which I barely started. Yay procrastination!
No seriously I'm like one of the most lazy and procrastinating people you'll ever meet. Like I did most of this today, right after I spent 2 hours to draw my new profile picture for no raisin.
Sorry for the rebel rambling.
Rock on, my little rebels.
