2 - Annoying Skeleton

Here is Lily:

Let me clarify this: she cannot control water. But every person represents one of the 4 elements: water, earth, air, and fire. Lily is water. Can you figure out the other 3?

Literally already past 100 views and I've only had two parts lmao.

Also sigh I had like 200 words when the due date came and now it's two weeks late smh ffs kms

~ Lily ~

There's not a lot to say about my experience. I was just simply swimming.

Don't ask me what I was thinking when I expected myself to be able to cross a sea easily. I probably could've done something on the island that could help me. Yet the water was practically calling me. And truth be told, I wasn't really getting tired from moving constantly, and I wasn't nervous about drowning. I couldn't see the bottom, but there were only squids that were in the water. I wasn't worried.

At one point, there was a tiny island with a few sand blocks above the surface. I rested there for a little bit. My thoughts were nothing far off of 'this is crazy' or some kind of question to why I'm here. And who I am. And where I'm going. And how— okay let's just stop there.

After maybe an hour, I was ecstatic when I began to see a landmass in the distance. That excitement made me go faster, despite me starting to feel sore.

As I got closer, I saw oak trees, a sort of beach, and a big wooden house. I felt even happier to see that someone was here.

Finally, I felt the sand graze my sandals. I pushed onto the ground to move myself forward. When my upper body collapsed on the shore, all of my strength left me. I felt exhausted, like my energy had been sapped out of me.

"Who are you?" A voice called from behind me.

"I... Lil... " I managed to make out before I closed my eyes and passed out.

• • •

"Hey. Are you up?"

My eyes opened slowly at the voice. I blinked a few times, and looked around at my situation.

I was on a bed. There was a table with a redstone lamp next to me. A few chests were along the wall to my left. To my right was a few bookshelves and a table. The back wall had a dark oak door, and an armor stand next to it with a diamond chestplate and helmet on it. The oak wood walls had a few paintings on them, and the floor had some red wool carpet. A window on the right wall let sunshine in the room.

The person that was talking to me was an older girl, maybe mid thirties. She had short black hair, and brown eyes. She wore a plain white t shirt and jeans. She didn't seem very hostile. Her eyes were full of worry.

"Oh good." She exhaled with relief. "I was afraid you weren't going to wake before I left. I wanted to be here so you didn't feel freaked out or anything."

Yeah. I didn't feel freaked out or anything. Just woke up in a random stranger's house.

"You gave me quite a scare out there earlier. You looked so pale, so fragile. I had to make sure I didn't break you when I carried you here."

"Who are you...?" I finally spoke.

"Oh I'm sorry. I was too busy rambling on that I didn't bother giving you the important stuff." She laughed. "I'm Jessica, but you can call me Jess. Or Jessie. Or J. Whichever works for you." She took a step closer. "And I don't think I got your full name. All you said was Lil. I'm guessing it's Lily?"

I nodded. "How long was I..."

"Passed out? Oh, only a few hours sweetie. But I saw you swim to the shoreline. Why were you out there?"

I blinked again. "I..."

"Oh." She put her hand to her mouth. "I'm so sorry, I'm coming on too strong aren't I. It's okay, we can ask questions later. You must be starving. Are you hungry?"

I hesitated. This woman talked a lot. But even though she had that flaw, she was nice. And she was offering me food. I was indeed very hungry. My stomach growled in response.

Jessica laughed again. "I guess so. Here, can you stand?"

I turned to the side and put my feet on the floor. I slowly pushed myself up. My arms trembled for a few seconds, but it subsided. I stood up and smiled at her.

"Good. Follow me. And we can go slow. You may be still tired."

I walked across the room as she opened the door.

Outside the door was a short hallway. There was a doorway leading to a balcony to the right, and the hall continued to the left and turned left. One other door was on the other side near the end, and it was an iron door. The suspicious thing about it was that it didn't have a lever or any way to get inside. I decided against asking about it.

"Come." She held her arm out, waiting for me to walk. I slowly made my way down the hall, looking at all the paintings on the walls.

We turned left and I saw a little living space, with a couch, chair, and red carpet. In the far corner was a set of stairs going downward. As we went across the room, I saw another door opposite the stairs.

"Bathroom." Jessica said, noticing my curiosity. "You can use it any time."

I smiled and said thanks.

We went down the flight of stairs and to her first floor. To the right was a dining table, and further back was a kitchen with an open way in. Near the far corner was the living room, fitted with a tv, couch, chair, table, and some paintings and shelves. The door was to the left, and a fence gate opened to a porch.

"Wait in the living room. I'll go get you something to eat." She walked to the kitchen.

I looked around at everything. It wasn't as detailed as it could be, but it was still a lovely house. And Jessica was a nice lady. I was glad she was the one to rescue me, and not some evil person or something.

~ Amber ~

"SON OF A CREEPER!"

I was frustrated.

I was scaling a ravine, shifting along the edge. The ravine ended about 20 blocks below me, with a lava bottom. Lava falls and waterfalls ran out of walls, walls that had cave opening and a lot of ores. It would've been a dream come true, if I had gear, a pick, wasn't pressed against a wall, and didn't have an annoying skeleton shooting at me from the other side.

"Are you serious?!" I shouted at the mob.

Unhappy with the arrow that just missed my arm, he loaded another arrow and aimed.

I quickly moved to the left, pressing my back to the wall and walking sideways. The arrow hit the wall where my chest was a second ago.

There were no caves super close to me that I could escape to; I planned on going all the way around. But with the annoying skeleton after me, that plan was tricky.

I looked around for a tunnel. There were no close ones on my level, but there was one a little bit further away, a few blocks lower.

Inching my way over, I raised my leg up to avoid another shot. Thank goodness that the mob had bad aim.

Finally, I was on top of the cave entrance. I didn't know how to get down easily, so I had to jump.

A stinging pain shot up my right arm. I winced and looked down to see that the skeleton got a lucky shot on my bicep.

I pulled the arrow out, which hurt even more, and jumped down.

I missed.

Okay not exactly.

I wanted to land on the one block that jutted out, but I miscalculated the trajectory (ew big words) and grabbed onto the edge with both hands. My arm ached from the stress I was putting on it.

I swung myself up and rested my elbow on the top. I pulled myself up, and stumbled into the cave.

"Urrrrgh." I groaned like a zombie. Usually mining wasn't a problem. But I always had gear and food. And, most of the time, Zack.

Oh Zack. You may wonder who he is. Well, back in my village, he was like the best guy ever. He's smart, charming, hilarious, nice, cute, and just perfect. We were friends, but I always had a crush on him. And then last night, he and I hung out under the stars. And we kissed; our first kiss. He asked me to be his girlfriend. And it was magical. He walked me to my room, I laid down to go to bed, and... woke up here.

Why? Why was I here? I had a perfectly good life— I was a nice girl, I helped the elderly, took part in community projects. It wasn't like I was learning a lesson or anything.

The pain in my arm subsided slightly, and I got up and continued on.

The tunnel went up at a steady pace, which was good. Up meant surface. And surface meant civilization and daylight. Assuming it wasn't night. I had no way to tell down here. And hopefully I wasn't in an ocean biome.

A little while later, I stumbled upon something.

I had my hand against the wall as I walked, when I felt a different texture than the smooth stone. It was rough; I was feeling cobblestone. There was a dungeon right next to me. I felt excited, yet nervous. I found a spawner with chests full of loot, but I had no weapon to protect me. I had a glimpse before I hid behind the wall, and saw that it was a skeleton spawner. Of course. Freaking skeletons. None had spawned yet, but there was no light source, so they could spawn with me in there.

Should I risk it?

Heck yeah I should.

I ran in there and opened one of the two chests. Five pieces of iron, two wheat, three string. I jumped over the spawner and opened the other one. Luckier this time. I got six pieces of iron, and a saddle.

I grinned, but the happiness faded when I heard a clang.

Recognizing the sound of a skeleton, I immediately turned around, swinging my fist. It collided with the hard bone of the mob's face, and sent them flying. The skeleton smashed into the far wall and fell apart into a million bones (exaggerated number of pieces).

I blinked and looked at my hand, then at the bones. They vanished, and I looked back at my hand.

"What the nether..." I muttered. I never was that strong.

An arrow whizzed past my face. I had forgot about the other skeleton.

I jumped onto the spawner. I leapt toward the skeleton and slammed my fist into his ribcage. He fell toward the ground and exploded as well, disintegrating after a few seconds.

I stood up and grinned. Normally, a person would be freaked out by their strength at this point. But me? I felt happy.

I felt powerful.
