1 - Waking Up
Song:
I'm listening to this at the moment, and I just thought it kinda fits ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ plus like Imagine Dragons is awesome
~ Mysterious Person ~
You know that saying "heroes aren't born, they're made"? And how some people change it around to make themselves feel better?
Nobody is "made" into a hero. Nobody starts off as a hero. Everyone starts off as themselves, and are always themselves. They don't turn into good guys or bad guys. They don't turn into heroes or villains. Those are just labels created by people who didn't bother to think deeper.
Villain... It's a funny word. The definition of a villain is a character who does evil actions that are important to the plot. But think about it... villains are their own heroes technically. Yet heroes are supposed to be the good ones. See the complication there?
It really doesn't make sense. The whole hero and villain thing.
Someone could think they're the hero, while another thinks that person is the villain. And everyone decides to go with the popular opinion.
But in this story, there are heroes and there are villains. And it will be obvious who is who. Because this story is going with the popular opinion.
... But is the popular opinion really the right opinion?

I woke up a few minutes ago, but I didn't open my eyes yet. I needed to be alone with my thoughts, in the dark.
There weren't many thoughts, actually. Considering I had no memory.
Yep. You heard that right. Well, read that right.
I had no memories. Nothing. I attempted to go through my head and rack something out, but nothing. Except my name. Lily.
I didn't feel anything except the ground against my back, and something cold touching my left hand.
My eyes opened involuntarily. They darted around. I was lying down, facing the sky. I slowly lifted my head to get a better view. I was on a small island. It was mostly sand, with some grass near the middle. Some sugar cane grew on the left.
My hand— well, block— was in the water. I took it slowly out, and looked at my arm, them my body. I wore a simple light blue dress that flowed down to my knees, with sleeves that went to my elbows. My light brown sandals were dug slightly into the sand. I moved my hair into my vision and saw light brown hair with blue tips made into a braid. I turned to the left to the water and stared at my reflection. Pale skin. Royal blue eyes. Some sort of blue crown or headband around my forehead.
I got up slowly, and peered into the distance, turning my head to all directions. No sight of land. The sun was just rising.
Sighing, I looked at the island. There was no way I could make a living here. No wood. No food. I could make sugar from the sugar cane, but then what? I couldn't just live on sugar.
I started to panic. Why was I here? Why didn't I remember anything? Did I even have a past? Could I even get off f this island?
Okay okay calm down Lily. Worrying won't solve anything.
Without thinking, I stepped into the water. It soaked my sandals and the bottom of my dress. But it felt cool, and welcoming. It calmed me down.
I waded through until it started to dip down to two blocks. Then, I pushed off into the deep.
And I started swimming to who knows where.

As soon as I regained consciousness, I immediately opened my eyes and jolted up. I could barely see anything, it was so dark. But there were stone walls, some coal ores, and the sound of water echoed off the cave walls.
This was not my bedroom.
I frowned. I remembered, after a lovely day with Zack, I went to my room happily, and collapsed onto my bed. I didn't think I would be able to sleep, because I was so giddy, but I crashed immediately.
And now I'm here. In a common circular cave room. Were these the village mines? No, they couldn't have been. There were a lot of resources to mine still. We would've collected the ores already. Unless I was deeper than we've been.
I did a 180 to look behind me, and saw a pocket of 3 shiny, bright blue ores. And may I add valuable ores, too.
Grinning, I said out loud, "Diamonds."
I walked over while searching my inventory for a pick axe. Nothing. What? I should've had at least 2 iron picks in there, along with some potatoes and blocks. And my iron sword.
Where was all my stuff? Why was I here?
I patted my clothes for an answer. Still had on my dark green long sleeve shirt, black vest, and light blue jeans. My belt no longer held my diamond pick, but I still wore my black sneakers. The only thing that was different was new black gloves on my dark skinned hands. I moved my hair in front of my vision, which was hard considering I had short, choppy hair. It was still brown. Hopefully my eyes were still brown.
There were two passageways out of the cave, opposite each other. They both led up.
Out of a random decision, I chose the one on the right.
And I started exploring.

"Ba-a-a!"
I groaned without opening my eyes. "Five more minutes."
Something tugged at my pants. I scooted to the left, but gasped as I didn't feel any ground. I fell a block downward, landing on my stomach. Nothing was supporting my head.
I finally opened my eyes. I was hanging off of a steep incline of the side of a mountain. I yelped and pushed myself off the ground, falling backwards on my rear.
I looked around. I was on a giant mountaintop. The ground was hundreds of blocks below me. The top smoothed out to have a diameter of about 15 blocks.
My attire was a plain white tang top, blue shorts, boots, and a light blue bandana around my forehead. Speaking of ripped, my biceps were huge. Like daaaaang. (There was no way for him to tell, but he also has light blond hair, and light blue eyes.)
I looked up at the sky. The sun had just risen. It was actually a cool view. A perfect sunny day, with a few white fluffy clouds. A breeze rippled against my shirt.
Another tug. A sheep was chomping on my pant leg.
"Shoo." I pushed it away.
Hold on. Back up.
What was I doing here? I couldn't remember anything. My past, myself, nothing. The only thing that seemed familiar was the name Skylar. Was it my name? It sounded kinda girly.
But seriously. I could've been anywhere else in the Minecraft world. Even an ocean biome. Yet I ended up on a giant mountain.
I searched my inventory. Nothing. Nothing to help me.
I groaned again. Going down was going to take forever.
Nevertheless, I started climbing down.

There was nothing worse than waking up in the nether. For one, it meant that someone moved me. And I lived alone, so that's creepy. And two, I am in the nether.
My dark gray eyes darted across the flat netherrack landscape that ended about 50 blocks in front of me, and opened into the wide region of hell. I was slumped against a netherbrick wall that belonged to a nether fortress. Under normal circumstances, I'd be thrilled to find one, but I had no clue why I was here. I also didn't have anything in my inventory. No armor, no weapons, nothing to protect me.
At first, I was too worried to move. I glanced around, and there were no mobs, but that doesn't mean that they can't spawn right by me.
Nevertheless, I stood up slowly and brushed off my leather jacket and jeans. I unzipped my jacket, revealing my red shirt, since the temperature was making me sweat. But I refused to take my jacket off. Never will I take it off.
I jerked my head to get my black hair out of my eyes. Then I looked around again. I was in a large opening with a diameter of around 80 blocks. The nether fortress continued both ways, swallowed by the walls. There was an opening to my left to where I could get in the tunnel.
Nether fortresses were always crawling with wither skeletons, blazes and pigmen. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go in there.
The other option would be the opening. But I didn't even know what was out there.
I took a few moments to walk causally over there. When I saw the view, my breath hitched. The wide Nether opened in front of me. There were many platforms, even some floating ones (gotta love Minecraft logic). The lava sea spread across the land. The roof was about 30 blocks above me. A ghast was peacefully floating in the distance. Zombie pigmen dotted the landscape.
For once, I took in what I saw. This world had its own kind of beauty. It was almost majestic.
But then a scream changed my mind. And then a sort of *floom* sound.
A fireball came hurling toward me. I jumped out of the way, landing in a somersault and on my knees. An explosion turned the ground where I was just a second ago into a small crater.
The ghast shot another. I ran back toward the fortress.
I skidded across the brick floor to a stop and looked at the left. Dead end. However, the right opened to a long tunnel.
I started running.
