bedrock-to-buildheight on tumblr drew a thing imitating that one blocky art style every old mcyt fanartist had in 2014, then crowmulent (semi-famous old mcyt artist) returned to tumblr, then tibbycaps, formerly known as MangoKiwi (another semi-famous old mcyt artist) reveled himself on tumblr, and everything's going haywire so it's nostalgia time B)

-maybe it was just the Sky Media fandom but i swear there were so many "kids get kidnapped and experimented on to get mutant features and powers then escape with background shipping" AUs???

-back when everyone did adventure maps or Do Not Laughs, we had no real "canon" events to go off of so everyone just plopped all the creators in a house living together for no reason other than it was convenient

-so... many... hybrids AUs...

-side note: finished Power Rangers Beast Morphers, rewatching Power Rangers Dino Charge and god i forgot how lovable all these characters are ;-;

-lmao remember when creators joked about shipping and people didn't push ships too far into creator's faces and everything was okay... haha me too-

-ngl i used to really like those "mental asylum" AUs but now i realize they are kinda in bad taste...

-back in the day, there wasn't an actual canon storyline (like the war and shit), just canon characters (and even then, everyone had their own versions of them) so people just went buck wild with AUs

-why are all the DreamSMP fanfics about either a royalty/king AU or traitor AU...

-also i feel like headcanons aren't super common in the DreamSMP fandom for some reason???? i guess i just never see any unless it's for outfit designs???

-remember how there was always that one character who's only purpose in the story was to be a wingman for all the ships?
