Suddenly she heard a woman cry and remembered her senior officers were investigating the women they found near the ocean. Tears started flowing from her eyes remembering that dark day of her life where she lost her sister to that monster and after that she lost her soul. Indeed it was a black day of her life. Nandini opened her eyes and harshly rubbed her tears away

As soon as the doctor comes out Aryaman and Abhi ran to him, "How is Manik doctor?"

We did what we could do. Next 24 hours are critical for Mr. Malhotra, said Doctor and left

Where is Nandini? Bhai is here fighting for life and she is not even here, asked frustrated Abhi

Aryaman said, "In all this chaos I didn't get a chance to talk to her and tell her about Manik's accident. I wasn't sure if Manik would want her to know. So, she doesn't know Manik's accident and that's why she isn't here"

Bhai would want her here. I will call her, said Abhi

After 20 minutes

Nandini came running towards the ICU observation room where Manik was admitted

Nandini the operation is successful. The doctors said the next 24 hours are critical for him but he will be fine. You know right our Manik is a fighter, said Aryaman

Nandini nodded and look at Abhi who just looked at her with a unknown emotions

Can I see him? asked Nandini

Aryaman nodded and Nandini entered his ward room. Once Nandini was out of sight Aryaman pulled Abhi to the corner, "What is this behavior Abhi? Nandini doesn't love you so you need to move on. You can't behave with her like this"

Abhi said nothing and left from there

Nandini entered inside and saw Manik was laying on the bed looking all pale. He had bruises on his forehead and both his arms. Nandini smiled looking at him lifeless. She sat on the side stool by his bed. She saw he had an oxygen mask on. She pinched the wire through which the oxygen was flowing through; with no oxygen flow Manik started breathing heavily due to lack of oxygen.

After letting him suffer for a few seconds she removed her hold from the wire and let the oxygen flow through. Manik got stable in a few seconds. She again pinched the wire to see Manik struggle to breath. She didn't pinch the wire for too long. She didn't wanted all the IV machines to start beeping and nurses and doctors to come check on Manik

Meri bhen bhi aise hi tadpi thi Manik but you didn't listen to her. For sometime maybe I went with the flow and forgot about your real face but now I am back. You have 7 days; 7 days left in this world.
