Those were the first words Frisk heard.

"So? You'll be free! You can set everyone else free! You can see the surface, like you wanted!"

"But you promised we'd be there together!"

"We'll still be together. You'll have my soul."

Frisk looked at the source of the voices. A goat monster and a human. Asriel and Chara.

"C'mon, Azzie. It'll be fine."

Asriel opened his mouth to speak, but time froze before Frisk's eyes.

"*Make change here? *Yes *No"

They looked at the options before them. What did it mean?

"❤️Yes"

Time resumed.

"NO, Chara! I won't let you! We're best friends. I refuse to let you die!" Asriel shouted, tears in his eyes.

Chara glared. "Azzie, it's the only way!"

"I DON'T CARE! I'd rather be here with you than up there alone!"

"You won't be alone!"

"IT'S STILL NOT THE SAME!"

Chara glared and turned away. "Fine. Have it your way."

And with that, they got up and left.

Asriel's tail drooped as he watched his friend leave.
