Chapter 24

"Goddess! Look at her," whispers someone beside me but I am so engrossed in watching my sister shift into her wolf for the very first time, I forget about everyone around me.

Sierra goes down on her knees and then walks on her knees, getting closer to the newly shifted wolf who looks smaller in size. Sascha's wolf's legs are shivering as if they cannot hold its weight.

Sierra whispers, "Nikita, please show her that I mean no harm."

I nod at her words and push a soothing wave through her mind. Her wolf comes forward as if wanting to play with me but then goes down, falling in a pile of fur and legs. Sierra catches the she-wolf and coos at it and whispers something in her ears.

Slowly, maintaining eye contact with Sascha's wolf, Sierra then starts ripping off the clothes that are clinging to her wolf body. Her clothes tore off when she shifted but we let them be on her.

"Steady, pup. Little more to go," coos Sierra while holding onto the wolf with one arm and then making quick work of detangling her torn clothes from her body. Soon, Sascha's entire wolf is on display with her shiny black coat.

"So beautiful she is, isn't she, Fenris!" whispers Sierra while looking up at Fenris. At Sierra's words, I realize that Fenris has gone quiet, so have all the people around us.

I look up at Fenris and nearly gasp in shock when I see his eyes watering at the sight of our sister's wolf. Sierra spots that too because she quickly gets up and wipes off his eyes, not letting anyone else apart from me see his unshed tears.

Pulling at Fenris's hands and startling him out of his thoughts, I watch as Sierra makes him kneel in front of Sascha and I watch as Sierra picks up Fenris's trembling hand and puts it over Sascha's wolf head.

"Try communicating with her. You have a family bond with her," whispers Sierra to Fenris and he dazedly nods at her.

Closing his eyes, he continues stroking Sascha's wolf head while Sierra wraps an arm around him for support. He seems to be leaning on her unintentionally. I envy her selfless nature.

Slowly he nods his head and then opens his eyes, the blue orbs now shining brightly. His wolf is no longer worried. It's calm. Everything is alright.

"She spoke. She's well. Feeling disoriented but in good health," he whispers while stroking Sascha's wolf head and dropping a quick kiss on her head. Sierra giggles beside him causing Fenris to straighten in his stance and then he gets up, walking towards me.

Pulling me up on my legs, he hugs me hard and I gasp at his strength.

"Thank you, sestra. Nasha sem'ya teper' polnaya!"

Tears stream down my cheeks as I take in his words. Our family is indeed complete. Nodding my head and looking at him through my tear-filled eyes, I laugh when he laughs. He's happy.

"Let's take her back to the guest house. There we can try and make her shift back. She needs to rest before she can go for a run," whispers Sierra while supporting the she-wolf as she attempts to stand back but falls again.

"Okay," whispers Fenris and then looks back at me. "Can you teleport there?"

"Yes," I answer and then walk towards Sascha. Touching both Sierra and Sascha, I close my eyes and imagine the guest house allotted to me.

Landing in the living room, I and Sierra both hold onto the wolf as she collapses because of the uneven land shift during the teleport.

"There, there. It's fine," whispers Sierra while keeping a hold on Sascha. "Can you shift back, Sascha?"

Sierra whispers the words softly while looking into the wolf's eyes. Sierra then looks at me once and then back at Sascha when she doesn't acknowledge her.

"Imagine your human form, Sascha. Imagine your arms and legs. Your face. Your body. Allow your wolf to retreat. She won't go anywhere. She's here with you forever. Let her slide back."

As Sierra whispers these words, Sascha's body starts trembling slowly and then once again her bones snap and reshape. Twisting and turning, her bones reshape and in no time, I see Sascha's face in front of us.

She looks tired as if she has run a marathon. And she's naked.

"Nikita. Quickly get her a dress," instructs Sierra and I just do that.

Handing the dress to Sierra, I watch as Sierra smiles at me and shakes her head. "Give it to her, dear. She is strong enough to put on the dress herself," whispers Sierra, while giving me an encouraging nod.

Turning to my twin, I hand over the dress to her. She accepts the dress and then puts it over her head. "Close your eyes both of you," she whispers.

"I won't peek, dear," chuckles Sierra.

Sascha winces a bit when she raises her arms to put in her hands through the dress, I can feel her distress. Sending out soothing waves, I motion for her to sit on the couch and she sits on the now clean couch while Sierra walks into the kitchen.

I sit beside my sister, knowing that Fenris will be here in no time to start asking questions.

"I am sorry for triggering you," I whisper and watch as Sascha shakes her head. She takes my hand in hers and I can feel the tremble in it. Squeezing her hand, I keep a hold of it, fearing that she might disappear.

"Thank you. It hurt a lot while shifting but to know that I am a werewolf, it's priceless. I have been having such dreams since the age of 11. I... I don't know how to thank you for helping me get my wolf to the surface. I never knew that I had one," says Sascha and then starts coughing.

Just then Sierra walks out of the kitchen with two glasses, one glass full of water and the other with milk in it.

"Here, drink this. It will soothe your dry throat," Sierra offers the glass to Sascha, her eyes alert just in case Sascha's hold slips.

Fenris and the others walk into the house, just as Sascha finishes drinking the water. She hands over the glass at Sierra with a frown on her face. I sense curiosity in her gaze as she watches Sierra who's smiling at my twin.

My saviour has such a big heart.

"Nikita," whispers Fenris bringing me out of my thoughts and I turn to look at him who's busy staring at our sister. He's confused and he's nervous. He's also eager to talk to her.

"Fenris, come here. Meet our sister, Sascha. She's the elder twin," I whisper while waving at Fenris to come closer. He walks toward us and sits beside me across from Sascha, who's looking at Fenris with a hint of knowledge but a lot more curiosity.

"Hello, Sascha. I am your older brother, Fenris Vlček," whispers Fenris while smiling softly at our sister.

Slowly, everyone makes their introductions while Fenris explains a bit about their role in our supernatural society. I am not sure if she understands it all but she might take some time.

"I am Sierra Vlček. It's a pleasure to meet you," whispers Sierra with a very contagious smile on her face. It makes me smile despite the pain that Sascha's shift caused her.

Sascha frowns and whispers, "you are our sister?" She looks at me with a frown and I shake my head at her.

Sierra chuckles and whispers, "no dear. I am Fenris's mate."

"What does a mate mean?" Sascha asks instantly which makes Sierra eager to share everything about the werewolf kind. However, she also senses my sister's fatigue at such a stressful event of her life.

"We will explain everything to you, sestra. But before that why don't you drink this milk and go to sleep for some time." Sierra proceeds to offer the glass to Sascha but she shakes her head.

"I am not a kid to drink milk," mutters Sascha while narrowing her eyes at Sierra. Sierra rears back at Sascha's harsh expression. Hiding the pinch of hurt at Sascha's words, Sierra smiles at my sister and then takes a step back.

"I am sorry, Sascha. Would you like something else to drink or eat?" asks Sierra while looking at me for a split second and then turning her attention back to Sascha.

Sascha chooses to ignore Sierra and I frown at her behaviour. Instead, she looks at Fenris. "Can I have some time alone?"

"Yes of course. Nikita can show you to your room. You can get some rest. We can talk later," answers Fenris and then motions me to take her upstairs. I nod at Fenris and then proceed to teleport my sister into my room upstairs, away from the others.

Sascha's overwhelmed, perhaps.

"Here. This is my room. You can sleep here. I will take the other room," I whisper and watch as Sascha slowly walks toward the bed and plops onto it. Exhaustion pours out of her in waves.

"Thanks. Do you teleport?" she asks me and with wide eyes, I answer her questions. How does she know about teleporting?

"I have watched people teleporting in movies but this was the first time that I experienced it," she says as if reading my mind and chuckles.

I am still reeling from the way she's taking in this change. She really looks like she's taking it all very well. As if she knew that this will be happening in her future.

"Do you want to sleep?" I ask but watch as Sascha shakes her head.

"Yes, in a minute. But I want to know one thing," she whispers and I nod my head in encouragement. "How did you find me?"

That question shocks me because I don't know the answer. It was like I was pulled to her aura. She called me to her.

"I felt this call. I just followed my instinct and then found myself knocking on your door," I whisper honestly.

Sascha frowns and then nods as if thinking hard. "I used to have visions. I had a vision of you coming to my home and telling me about my origins. And that became true."

"Wow! You have one of our mother's gifts," I whisper, adding to her confusion. "I mean our mother, she was a witch and our father, he was a werewolf. They were true mates."

"What is a mate?" Her confusion is apparent in her voice and I struggle to explain to her about this. Having her here, safe and healthy is like a huge relief. However, I also fear for her future. Will she accept everyone?

Will Fenris's pack accept her? She's a werewolf like him and she's destined to be with wolves, not be wandering for a lifetime like me.

"From what Fenris told me, a mate is like a life partner. It is said that a soul divides into two halves. One part is transferred to a female and another part is given to the male. When these two living entities meet, their soul calls each other. They are called soulmates or mates," I explain, leaving a lot of details and explaining only the basic meaning.

I am not sure if she will understand even this much. I have only now started to understand a few of the basics of the werewolf world.

Sascha listens to me carefully, nodding a bit as if understanding my words and then frowning a bit as if confused.

"So, everyone has a soul mate?" she asks, her eyes curious. Her wolf is at the surface but she has good control over her wolf. It's overwhelming. I cannot grasp the fact that I have found my sister and that she's a werewolf just like Fenris.

I knew that she was a werewolf but I wasn't sure if she can shift. Today has been a day full of surprises and revelations.

"Yes, almost everyone," I whisper; however, I can sense the doubt in my voice. Sascha ignores it or perhaps she doesn't recognise my emotions. Maybe she is not an empath like me and Fenris.

"You have a wolf too?" she asks and I shake my head.

"No, I am a full witch, like mom. You are a werewolf with some witch qualities, like having visions," I answer truthfully. It's better if she knows the truth from the beginning.

After answering a few more of her questions, I watch as she lies down on the bed and turns on her left, showing her back to me. Within seconds, she's dozed off making me feel envious of her ability to fall asleep so easily.

A soft knock on the door pulls me out of my thoughts and I turn around to look at Fenris, leaning against the door with a very serious expression.

It is time!

Knowing that Fenris is waiting for me to walk out of the room so that he can bombard me with his questions, I let out a huge sigh and make up my mind.

As far as I can remember, this is the first time that I have let out my emotions for everyone around to see and feel. It's bothering Fenris that he couldn't make me comfortable enough for me to share my personal life with him.

But it's not him at fault here. Where Fenris always tried to coddle me, I knew that him knowing about my past life and about the torture that I faced at the hands of Xavier, would make him feel guilty for not saving me before.

And I also know that the sister that they had been looking for was Sascha. Fenris did not know that he had two sisters. He did not know that one of them was abducted minutes after she was born.

So, it is not Fenris's fault that he couldn't save me. It was my destiny to suffer but I cannot let Wulfric have the last laugh.

Now that I have my sister by my side, I can actively start hunting for Wulfric. I can hunt him down with my magic.

I had been afraid till today, fearing him but I know with my family by my side, I can overpower any and every enemy of mine.

"Nikita!" Fenris's whispered yell startles me out of my thoughts and I jerk back into reality.

"Yes. Let's go out," I whisper and then quickly walk out of the room, not looking at Fenris's shrewd gaze. He is familiar with the way I zone out into my own world of thoughts.

"You need to tell me. How do you know about Sascha? And why wasn't I told about this?"

The way he speaks highlights his hurt. He is hurt that I didn't tell him and it makes me guiltier about my choices.

"I am not sure why I hadn't told you. When I told you about my memory gift, you hadn't believe me. You called Nora for confirmation. I didn't like being treated like that," I whisper the partial truth.

Fenris doesn't respond, instead, he continues to stare at me. Ignoring him I start walking downstairs while he follows me. I am still trying to find a way to tell him about it. I don't know where to start and it's starting to give me a headache.

One thing I know is that I cannot run from this anymore. I have to tell him and I have to tell Sierra as well.

Walking into the kitchen, I sigh when I see Sierra sipping orange juice and sighing in relief. She takes another sip, almost gulping in half and then closes her eyes.

She's having fun drinking her juice.

Sierra stands unaware about my arrival so I clear my throat a bit, not wanting to startle her from satisfying her taste buds. She startles at my intrusion but then relaxes when she sees me and Fenris.

"Hey. Is Sascha asleep?" she asks while pouring two glasses full of orange juice and then hands one to me and then one to Fenris.

"Thanks," whispers Fenris, walking closer to his mate. He seems to be agitated about something but I am unaware about what so I don't ask.

"Yes, she's asleep," I answer Sierra and then take a sip of the orange juice. Flavours burst on my tongue and I stifle a moan of pleasure. It's good and from one look at Sierra's smiling face, I know that she's also feeling the same.

"Have a seat and please tell us everything about Sascha," whispers Sierra while looking at Fenris who nods his head in agreement.

Oh, so now he's fine with Sierra's bossy attitude. Are all men so stupid?

Not voicing my thoughts about Fenris's slightly bipolar nature, I take a seat across from them on the dining table and rest the glass on the table. Pushing it away, I fold my hands on the table and twine my fingers.

I am nervous and Fenris feels it. Sierra can check my emotions from my face but she has an encouraging smile on her face which helps me to speak.

But then I realize that I can show them and explain things better. The sudden idea strikes my mind, making me stand up immediately. The couple in front of me startles but doesn't react. I walk around the table and reach them in no time.

Not giving them any time to question me, I take each of their hands in mine and teleport to the dungeon in our grandfather's castle.

A few seconds pass by and I land on my feet right in front of the Royal Wall. Beside me, Fenris and Sierra grapple to stand upright as they were sitting when I teleported them. Oops!

"Can you warn us next time," snaps Fenris after managing to not fall on his ass. Sierra takes support from the wall itself as she leans on it and takes in a few deep breaths to calm her raging heart.

"You scared me, Nikita," she whispers in between breaths.

I shrug and then proceed to make a cut on my fingers. Around me, both Sierra and Fenris go alert and wary of my actions.

"Hey. What are you doing?"

I ignore Fenris's question and proceed to allow my blood to drip onto the wall's sacred aperture. After my blood drips into the aperture, I take a step back and I watch as Fenris moves behind me to pull Sierra back and away from me.

They both whisper and then communicate telepathically but their emotions are pouring out in abundance. They are confused, wary and slightly scared of this scenario. Sierra more so than Fenris.

I am not sure why she's scared of this blood magic. Maybe she had some past experience with it. Ignoring the couple, I wait patiently for the wall to reveal its secrets.

"Am I intruding?"

Shocked at the fourth person's voice, I whirl around to see Dominic standing there with a thick black robe covering him from head to toe. Only his fangs are visible from under the hood of the cloak.

His appearance is gothic but his presence here is a shock to me.

Whyis he here? How didn't I identify his presence?
