Something I forgot to mention: this fic is based before season two.

That dirty, lying, filthy piece of -- Oh no, they're going to see me!

Quickly, I throw myself around the corner, hoping and praying that I wasn't seen.

Once I catch my breath, I think over what I saw, anger burning inside me. Lucas Friar isn't exactly the type of kid I'd expect to cheat, especially on someone like Riley. But I saw him, clear as day, kissing another girl.

"Maya? What are you doing down there?" Riley's voice catches me off guard, and I jump. She drops next to me, apologising like she always does. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!"

"Umm... It's okay, Riles. Hey, why don't we go class now?" Terrified that she'll turn the corner, I quickly jump up and start dragging her in the opposite direction, toward Mr. Matthew's classroom.

"Okay -- Oh, hey Lucas!" She breaks out of my grip, running into his arms and hugging him tightly. As she does, I give him the death stare and a silent slit-throat motion. He looks confused for a second, but quickly smiles again as Riley pulls away from the hug. "Where were you, Ive been looking all over for you!"

"I was just hanging around with some of my other friends, don't worry about it, Babe," he answers automatically.

He's got a lot of nerve calling her babe after what I just witnessed. And I'll make sure Riley catches him or finds out if it's the last thing I do.
