Third person's pov

Taehyung walked out of his room, towards Yoongi's room. He checked the room, and it was empty, as Jimin had said. He sighed, knowing where Yoongi was. He walked to the backside of the palace garden where the swimming pool was. He continued to the other side of the pool, where many plants and a small garden were surrounded by thick rose bushes. Climbing over the rose bushes, he entered the secret small garden, a place known only to Yoongi and Taehyung.

Inside, he found Yoongi sitting on a chair, sipping some wine with a cigarette in his other hand, while soft music played in the background. The atmosphere was serene, a hidden retreat within their secluded world.

Taehyung approached silently, not wanting to disturb the tranquillity of Yoongi's private sanctuary. The soft glow from a few strategically placed lanterns illuminated the garden, casting a warm and comforting ambience. The gentle rustle of leaves and the distant hum of the city provided a soothing melody.

Yoongi looked up as Taehyung entered, a faint smile playing on his lips. The two friends shared a silent understanding, the unspoken bond that came from years of camaraderie. Taehyung found a vacant seat and settled in, taking in the surroundings.

The night air was laced with the fragrance of blooming flowers, and the rhythmic splashes from the nearby swimming pool added to the symphony of nature. The secret garden felt like a refuge, a place where the weight of their responsibilities momentarily lifted.

Yoongi broke the silence, his voice low and reflective, "It's late. You should be asleep."

Taehyung chuckled as he looked at Yoongi, "So should you be."

Yoongi offered Taehyung a glass of wine which he took and started sipping, both of them falling into a comfortable silence. Yoongi was staring at the sky, lost in his thoughts while a small smile played on his lips. Taehyung, on the other hand, was staring at Yoongi, trying to discern the intricacies of Yoongi's thoughts.

Taehyung's voice carried a soft yet cautious concern as he inquired, "Are you okay?"

Yoongi returned a reassuring smile, his eyes reflecting a calm demeanor. "Yeah, I am," he replied, maintaining an air of composure.

Perplexed and a touch confused, Taehyung pressed further, "How? You spent the whole day listening to Jimin talk about Jungkook, and now you are going to watch Jimin try to make Jungkook fall in love with him. How are you okay? You are irrevocably in love with him, and he doesn't even know it. He's busy chasing someone else. How are you okay?"

Yoongi chuckled, a wistful smile playing on his lips. "Because he is happy. I wish for nothing but Jimin's happiness, even if I'm not included in it. His happiness, that's all I've ever wished for him. Ever since I met him, that's my only wish. He deserves it. He deserves to be happy."

Taehyung looked at Yoongi with sad eyes, his voice laced with empathy. "So do you. You deserve to be happy as well. You've done everything for Jimin. Every single thing he wished for, you gave it to him, no matter what you had to sacrifice. You've given a lot to Jimin. Isn't it time to think about yourself for once? Why don't you try telling him your feelings once? He owes it to you, to listen to you."

The sincerity in Yoongi's voice touched Taehyung's heart, as he responded with a mix of understanding and concern, "Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, 'You owe me.' Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky. I am Jimin's sun. He may not notice me every day and might think I am not that important. He may even find others more captivating, like the moon. But that won't stop me from shining for him. And I don't want anything in return."

Taehyung's eyes welled up as he looked at Yoongi, deeply moved by the profound wisdom embedded in his words. "You are truly great. I don't know how you do it," Taehyung admitted, his voice reflecting a mixture of admiration and empathy.

Yoongi smiled, a gentle understanding in his eyes. "That's because you haven't fallen in love yet. Once you fall in love, you'll understand. It's not about gaining their love. It's not about you. It's about them and their happiness. Sometimes, the best option in love is to let go. That is selfless love. When you fall in love, come to me, then you'll understand my words."

Taehyung smiled, wiping away his tears, as he spoke in a lighter voice, "You should sleep now. It's late."

Yoongi nodded but couldn't help but ask, "How did you know I was here?"

Taehyung answered, "Jimin said you were not in your room. He had no idea where you were. I figured you would be here."

Suddenly, Yoongi sat up, a hint of concern in his eyes. "Jimin was looking for me?"

Taehyung nodded, confirming the worry in Yoongi's eyes. "He couldn't sleep. He was searching for you but then couldn't find you, so he came to my room."

Yoongi asked with a furrowed brow, "What was bothering him?"

Taehyung sighed, a hint of concern in his voice. "Jungkook's safety. Jimin thinks Jungkook shouldn't have been dragged into this world, and he doesn't want anything to happen to him. He also believes he has ruined Jungkook's life."

Yoongi chuckled, "That's typical Jimin—worrying about others before his own safety. Don't worry, Tae. I am going to protect Jimin and Jungkook with my life. I don't mind dying if that means Jimin or his love gets to live. I'll always be there for him."

Taehyung smiled, "Me too. All of us will always be there for him, and for you too. Any one of us would gladly take a bullet for you. Keep that in mind, Yoongi. We are a family. We love you."

Yoongi smiled warmly, "I know. I love you guys too."

Their unwavering commitment to each other and the genuine love that bound them together resonated in the quietude of the night, creating a sense of solace within the complex web of their intertwined destinies. The mansion stood as a silent witness to the unspoken bonds that connected them, a sanctuary amidst the challenges of their clandestine world.
