i managed to find the very first book cover I made, along with a few others (then i lost my ipod again because i lost my ipod like the fourth time because i'm an idiot ((:  )

okay, so here's the VERY first book cover I made

this was like the second cover i made, i believe.

i mean, the blending got better, but the text alignment got worse haha.

this next book cover i made for my first original book about angels and stuff but it was planned so badly and super cliche (it had one of those cliche openings where the main characters hits her alarm clock xD)

this... this is just painful to look at.

here we have to covers with terrible cutting and this was before i knew PNGS existed and i am cringing so hard yikes

i did get a little better after that. yes, i did try writing a maze runner fanfic, but it was badly planned (that's why I take so long to update because i don't want to be willy nilly like one of those wacky inflatable thingys) and i was proud of this cover at the time because i tried to make it look like the movie cover xD

can we please appeciate the fact that robert's body is completley cut in half and he's just floating

i sucked at cutting out things (i still do tbh) but can we please appreciate his lil hairs that were terribly cut out like damn

there is seriously so many things wrong with this cover

i honestly don't want to talk about this

NOW

i have improved so much from when i first began. not only that, but I actually got asked to join a huge graphic group because people actually liked my graphics. I kid you not, I was almost crying on that day I was so happy. I'm so happy that I didn't give up on myself, and this goes to all of you:

never give up!!

even when things seem bleak and you're frustrated, don't give up!!

there's always another way to approach something and the only way you're going to get better is if you practice!!

in fact, i am not ashamed to admit that I can still get better!! i can always improve, and practicing is only going to make me a better designer!!

anyways, I wanted to show you guys where I am at now:

i'm really excited to see how i will improve as time progresses and I practice more, and even though I am a little hard on myself, I know i've come a long way. (as you can see)

i hope you guys all have a wonderful and don't forget to always try!!

this chapter is dedicated to @LotteHolderbecause she's the inspiration that i needed to want to improve my covers. i was in love with her covers way before we became friends, and without her beautiful graphics, i wouldn't be driven to get better. Of course, many other designers inspired me as well, but Lotte was my role model and she still is xx
