Fight!
Lorelei's POV
Beep! Beep! Beep! Lorelei opened her eyes and saw darkness. She looked for the source of the noise. And found it. It was the alarm clock. It was 04:45. She forgot she had school today. She threw her pillow at the alarm clock but that didn't help at all. She groaned as she got out of bed to smash the alarm against the wall and headed to take a bath and wore the same old uniform. When she was done, she dragged her feet and walked downstairs. Lorelei found Elizabeth in the kitchen making breakfast. "Hello there," Elizabeth grinned. Lorelei just waved at her with no emotion as she took her seat. She wasn't in the mood today at all. "Looks like someone's under the weather. Everything alright?" Elizabeth asked. "Alright?" Lorelei asked. How could anything be alright? Her life was upside down. Never was alright in her world. "That word seems foreign. I don't know what it means," she replied as she grabbed a mug to pour herself some coffee. Lorelei saw Elizabeth purse her lips at the corner of her eye. Lorelei took a sip and saw Kyle rush down to the kitchen. He sniffed the air then asked, "Are you making blueberry pancakes?" Elizabeth smiled. "Why yes I am," she took two plates and placed them on the table. "I won't be eating," Lorelei informed Elizabeth as she drank her coffee. "Why not?" Elizabeth raised a brow. "Not hungry," she shrugged as she gulped down her coffee. Of course she was hungry, starving. The pancakes did smell delicious. But she couldn't bring herself to eating. She placed her mug in the sink and picked up her bag. "I gotta go. Bye," she didn't even wait for them to answer back. She walked straight out the door. Charles hadn't arrived yet so Lorelei had to wait of the porch. A few minutes of waiting, she heard the door open and saw Kyle sitting next to her, with a pancake in his hand. "Are you okay?" he asked, looking at the horizon. Lorelei looked at him and forced a smile. "Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" she asked. A lot of things were wrong with her but she's not going to share it with the whole world. "Just asking," he looked at the pancake and offered it to Lorelei. "Gross, no. I don't remember seeing you washing your hands," Lorelei smiled. "What's the point of washing hands when they're going to get dirty again?" Kyle smirked. "I'm leaving," Lorelei says as she was about to stand up but Kyle wrapped his arms around her waist, pancake set on his lap. "I'm was just joking. Just sit," he said. Lorelei froze for a moment. His touch sent shivers up her spine. 'Lorelei, no! That's just gross,' she told herself. She sat down next to him and listened to the birds chirping. "But are you sure that you're alright?" Kyle looked at her with concern written all over his face. Lorelei nodded. "Don't worry. I am," she said. She heard a car hooting a saw Charles driving up. "I guess we gotta get going. Shall we?" Kyle stood up and offered his hand to Lorelei. Lorelei rolled her eyes and stood up. "Dork," she said as she smirked. "You're really mean, you know that," Kyle said. "Mean? I haven't even started," Lorelei smiled. Kyle smiled too. His smoke was like the sun bringing warmth into Lorelei's life. 'But if you stare at it to long, you'll be blind,' she thought. Kyle was annoying but tolerable at times. They both got into the car and Charles drove off.
"Lorelei!" Krystal waved as Lorelei hopped off the car. Lorelei searched the crowd and saw Krystal waving like a maniac. She pushed her way through the sea of people to get over to Krystal. "Hey," she said and Krystal smiled. They both walked in silence until they reached Lorelei's locker. "See you later," Krystal said as she walked to her own locker. Lorelei opened her locker and put her books in it and closed it. The crowd parted and revealed down the corridor, Stellar and her henchmen sashaying. Lorelei rolled her eyes and tried walking the other way but Stellar saw her. "Lorraine," she called out but Lorelei kept walking with her head down. She felt someone gripping her shoulder. Lorelei turned around, ready to scold whoever it was. "What?!" she said a pair of purple eyes widening. "Whoa. Tough morning already?" Kyle asked. Lorelei pulled her arm away and shrugged. "I just wanted to tell you that-," he got cut off when Stellar came walking their way. "Arghhh," Lorelei growled. Kyle heard her and raised a brow. "Hey babe," Stellar kissed Kyle ' cheek but as soon as she saw Lorelei standing in front of them, Stellar's lips met Kyle's. Kyle closed his eyes and Stellar deepened the kiss. Her arms went around Kyle's neck and Kyle's hands slid down to Stellar's waist. Stellar moaned softly but loud enough for Lorelei to hear. Lorelei cleared her throat and the two lovebirds broke the kiss. "Seeing that you guys are so happy together, I'll be heading to class now," she turned away and stormed off. "Wait! Lorelei!" Kyle started to walk after her but Stellar grabbed his arm. "Walk me to class?" she smiled. Her request sounded more like a command. Why did Lorelei's heart throbbed when she saw Kyle kissing Stellar back. They are together after all. What did she expect. Her anger rose. She wanted revenge. She also had the perfect plan. She smirked at the though as the bell rung.
Krystal's POV
"Krystal! Krystal!" That snapped Krystal out of her thoughts. "Glad I got your attention," her maths teacher, Mr Orkle grunted. She heard a few snickers coming from the back. She was staring out the windows for too long. She was still trying to collect her thoughts about what was going on at home and of course, her school life. Everything in her life was stressful at the moment. She couldn't focus in class because she feared Stellar. She felt as if she was being watched 24/7. But then again, maybe she was being paranoid. After getting beat up by Stellar's crew, Krystal tried to stay away from people in the school. Everyone besides Lorelei. She was different. She enjoyed the time she spent with her shopping for dresses to wear at the Dance Formal even though they don't have dates. When she complimented her, she got butterflies in her stomach. And when she wore that black lace dress of hers, she looked stunning. Krystal shaked the picture out of her head and started writing down notes before Mr Orkle decided to send her to detention.
At the cafeteria, Krystal went to sit where she usually sits with Lorelei. When she got there, Lorelei was already there. She put her bag down and sat across Lorelei. "So how were your lessons?" Krystal asked, starting up a conversation. She knew Lorelei didn't like talking much so she'd ask her random questions and let her talk when she wanted to. "Pretty shitty," she bit into her cucumber sandwich, her favourite. "Hey. Can I ask you a question?" Lorelei asked, as she squinted at her. 'This won't be good,' Krystal thought. She nodded. "Sure. Shoot," she said. She took her bottle of sparkling water and drank from it. "What really happened between you and Stellar," Lorelei looked at the coop kid's table. Stellar was laughing her butt off. What ever was said must've been hilarious. "Nothing," Krystal looked down at her tuna sandwich. Lorelei raised a brow. "You're lying," she said. Krystal sighed and looked down at her hands, "I don't want to talk about it," she said. "Krystal, I'm trying to help here. Isn't that what friends are for?" she asked. What was the point of having friends anyway? She did fine at her old school being the outcast. Blending in with the shadows. 'Lorelei's different,' she thought to herself. "They- They actually," she didn't know how to put it in words. "They what?" Lorelei asked. Krystal sensed the concern in her voice. "One day, I was walking by, going to my registration class. I passed by the toilets because I needed to pee. I saw something I wasn't supposed to see," she explained. "What did you see?" Lorelei became invested. "I can't tell you yet. But they saw me and dragged me out to some alley and they starter hurting me," Krystal fought back her tears. But it seemed as if Lorelei didn't notice that she was on the verge of crying. "Lorelei can I-," she couldn't go on like this. "No. Tell me what happened," she said, a bit angry. "They said a whole lot of threats. They even included that they'd hurt my mom if I said something," Krystal said. What happened next was out of her control. Lorelei snapped and rushed over to Stellar's table, pushing everyone in her way.
Lorelei's POV
Lorelei had to know what happened to Krystal that day. She kept on pestering her to tell her the whole story. She saw that Krystal was about to cry. She didn't see the need for her to cry. She went through something similar but she went through worse. "They even included that they'd hurt my mom if I said anything," Krystal sniffed. That was the last straw. Lorelei didn't even have a mom. Well she did but she has never been in her life. And some stuck-up hoes think that they could just do that and get away with it. Parents were a very touchy subject to Lorelei. She pushed through anyone who stood in her way and walked straight to Stellar's table. When she arrived, Kyle offered her a seat next to him. "Hey Lorelei. Need a seat?" He asked, scooting over. Lorelei shook her head. "It's fine. I'm not staying," she said while she was glaring at Stellar. When their eyes made contact, Stellar asked, "How can I help you?" Lorelei clenched her fists. "How dare you? You think you're the biggest, baddest monster who's ever roamed these halls. But you're absolute shit," she pointed at her. She didn't notice the cafeteria getting quiet. Stellar yawned. "You done? You know, I have important matters to tend to. So shoo fly," she wavered her hand as if she was swatting at a fly. Lorelei stood her ground. Stellar stood up and stood in front of Lorelei. She started whispering in her ear. "I know how to deal with overly obsessed bitches like you. Actually, I've dealt with worse. So don't embarrass yourself. Go sit with your little puppy over there before it runs off," Lorelei turned around to see Krystal standing, watching in disbelief. She turned back to Stellar and saw her smirking. That's it! Lorelei punched Stellar's jaw and kicked her in the stomach. Stellar gasped and crouched down. Lorelei pushed her to the ground and stood on top of her. She broke Stellar's nose. She tried fighting back but Lorelei didn't let. She'd pin her to the ground and smash her head against the cold floor. Stellar's nose was dripping red ooze. Blood. But that didn't stop Lorelei. It only drove her more. Everyone is the background was screaming and shouting. Some boys were even chanting. "Fight! Fight! Fight!" And that's exactly what Lorelei did. Kyle tried removing Lorelei away from Stellar but got hurt in the process. Lorelei elbowed his crotch making Kyle crouched and backed away. When she didn't notice, Stellar changed the order of things. She pushed Lorelei and jumped on top of her. This time, her henchmen came to help. Stellar punched Lorelei's stomach while the girls held her arms down. Stellar strikes again. Lorelei managed to wriggle one of her arms free. She poked Stellar's eyes and she jumped away. She then felt someone pulling her up. "Carson! Smith! Break It up you two! Detention! Both of you. But before that, head to the principle's office immediately," Mr Beckett, Lorelei's History teacher, scolded. "And to the rest of you, be quiet if you don't want to face the same fate as these two hooligans!" He pointed at Lorelei and Stellar. "Oh, this is only just the beginning," Lorelei said, clenching her stomach.
