Recreate

Staring down at his phone, Wan-Nu just shook his head. He wasn't surprised to see a text from Tay-Yun about him taking Teller somewhere. "Have your boys abandoned you already?" Don-Wei asked as he leaned back in his chair, nibbling at a piece of beef.

Wan-Nu nodded, then rubbed at his temples with a sigh. "All of the ones I want to deal with." He said, making Don-Wei lift an eyebrow. "You brought another person with you?" He asked, getting a nod from Wan-Nu in response.

"An old member of Teller's fake band. The main singer. Though, from what I know, he can't sing at all."

Don-Wei frowned, fishing out his phone to send a text. "Why did you bring him here, then?" He asked as he finished typing, then sent the message and put his phone on the table.

"Because, their manager was beating them up. When we took Teller away from him, he turned his attention to Ike. I have the police looking into it right now."

Don-Wei tilted his head, seemingly in thought since he didn't respond right away.

"I see." Was all he said until his phone chimed with a message.

Picking it up, he scanned the screen, then grinned up at Wan-Nu. "Your last boy has found his way onto the roof. Best go fetch him." He said.

Hanging his head, Wan-Nu just couldn't find the words to use. Of course Ike would have gotten himself into an area that was clearly marked off-limits, even in English. "I am just not surprised. I will go get him."

Wan-Nu made his way out of the room, doing his best to ignore Don-Wei's quiet laughter behind him. As luck would have it, the elevator was out of service being worked on, so Wan-Nu cursed his lack of an exercise routine and made his way slowly up the several flights of stairs until he reached the slightly ajar door to the rooftop.

It was a bit chilly outside and being up so high had the wind blowing surprisingly hard. "Ike?" Wan-Nu yelled as he stepped out onto the pavement, squinting against the wind to try and find the guy.

He found him after a moment of looking around on top of one of the large air conditioners at the far side of the roof. The only reason he'd managed to see him was because of his legs hanging over the edge.

"Ike!" He shouted again over the wind, this time receiving a simple acknowledgement as the guy lifted his hand in the air, then dropped it back down.

Scowling, Wan-Nu walked right up to his legs and grabbed an ankle, tugging enough to making the guy sit up with his own unhappy glare. "The hell do you want?" Ike growled as he tried to tug his leg away, but Wan-Nu kept his grip firm.

"Time to go." He said, grabbing Ike's other ankle and pulling them both hard enough to force him forward.

He didn't pull him all the way off, though, because that would likely get the guy hurt pretty badly. Wan-Nu did, however, not release his right ankle until he was sliding down from the air conditioner himself.

"There, happy old man?" Ike grumbled after his feet his the rooftop.

Wan-Nu forced himself to not roll his eyes, and instead, gave a slight nod before gesturing Ike to follow him toward the door. It was a relief when he finally stepped back inside, the walls cutting off the harsh windchill.

"You really need to put some weight on that thin body of yours if you're that cold from just being outside for a minute." Ike said, poking Wan-Nu's shoulders before his hand was promptly swatted away.

"I am healthy weight." Wan-Nu returned as he began heading down the steps.

He could hear Ike's lazy pace behind him, but didn't bother looking back up until he was on the first floor landing.

"Why are you taking so long? Let's go." Wan-Nu called up to Ike, who was meandering slowly down the flight of stairs to the second floor's landing.

When he paused and leaned over the railing to grin down at him, Wan-Nu pursed his lips, biting them to keep from saying anything he shouldn't.

"You don't look too happy. Cheer up, you get to hang out with me. How much better could your day possibly get?" Ike said with a egotistical tone that had Wan-Nu marching up the stairs and grabbing his wrist.

"My day was going very well when I forgot you were here." He said in Korean, earning an annoyed grunt from Ike that made him happier than it should have.

"If you want to hold my hand, you could just ask." Ike said as he moved into step beside Wan-Nu and walked down onto the first floor, heading for the door.

As if on cue, Wan-Nu released his hand, shoving it away at the same time. "hardly." He said as they stepped through, then started for the exit.

"So, what did you guys do while I was outside?" Ike asked after a few moments of silence.

Wan-Nu didn't really care to tell him, so he kept quiet. The silence clearly began to irk Ike, because he started poking him in the shoulder of his suit, then nudging him with his own shoulder when Wan-Nu just kept stepping aside or slowing down his pace, only to speed up abruptly.

"Aw, come on. You wouldn't have come here if you didn't have some sort of business. And where the hell is everyone else, anyways?"

Wan-Nu ignored him as they came up to the exit doors. He tugged his suit around himself a bit tighter, then began buttoning the few buttons it contained. He was just finishing the last one when he felt something settle over his shoulders. "Hurry up, old man." Ike said, drawing Wan-Nu's glare up to see the guy go sauntering through one of the glass exit doors.

Staring down at the new weight, he noticed the jacket Ike had been wearing. Not thinking about it, Wan-Nu slid his arms through the sleeves and hurried after Ike, not wanting him to get out of sight.

"Hey!" He yelled, making Ike finally turn around.

At first, his expression was smug, but after a moment he tilted his head and narrowed his eyes slightly, as if he were considering something.

Either way, Wan-Nu was glad that he'd stopped, giving him enough time to run over. He was panting quietly, but at least Ike hadn't disappeared on him again.

"I know I'm out of shape. Stop looking at me like that." Wan-Nu said as he straightened back up, realizing that Ike was still staring at him strangely.

His change in language seemed to snap the guy out of his odd stare, because he quickly scowled and growled something about stupid Korean

Taking his small victory, Wan-Nu lead him back to the car, then slid into the driver's seat as Ike took passenger. "Put your seatbelt on." Wan-Nu said as he shifted the car into reverse, but didn't lift his foot from the brake yet.

Ike reached for the belt, but then seemed to think better of it, because he let the strap go and shrugged. "Nah, I'm good."

The guy knew that he was annoying him. There was no reason why he would wear his seatbelt on the way, but not on the way back, unless he was trying to get under Wan-Nu's skin... and it was working wonders.

"Put the belt on, Ike."

When he was ignored again, Wan-Nu put the car back in park and leaned over, grabbing the belt. He was just leaning back to connect it when he felt an abrupt gust of wind against his ear. His response was definitely not what he'd planned. He jerked back so hard that he smacked his head against his window.

"Shit!" He yelled, making Ike whistle as the guy nonchalantly clicked his belt into place.

"The window didn't deserve that, and I'm going to guess that what you just said means something similar to shit." Ike said, ending his sentence with a tsk tsk.

Wan-Nu pursed his lips and held his breath for a moment, making himself calm down while he rubbed the back of his head with his left hand and the other gripped the steering wheel to drive.

The ride was blissfully quiet, making Wan-Nu curious enough to glance over at Ike when they stopped at a red light about ten minutes later. His brows furrowed at the young man's stillness, then his eyes lowered to see a ridge in Ike's pocket that looked exactly like a small bottle.

"He took pain pills?"

When they stopped at another red light, Wan-Nu reached over, fishing the little bottle out of Ike's pocket. Reading the label, he frowned, then turned the bottle to read the side effects.

"This is some powerful stuff... had he gone and gotten this after he'd left us earlier, then come back?"

Looking back over at Ike, Wan-Nu hesitated for a moment, then reached over and pressed two fingers to the guy's neck. When he felt a strong pulse, he sighed with relief and leaned back, pocketing the bottle of medication. He didn't mind if Ike used the pills, but he'd at least feel better if he knew how many doses he was taking. It was very easy to overdose when you were in as much pain as he likely was.

They pulled up to the house a bit later. Wan-Nu tried to shake his shoulder to wake him up, but didn't even get a hint of a response from the guy. Sighing, he slid out of his seat and walked around the car, opening Ike's door before leaning in to undo his seatbelt. Thankfully, the guy didn't weigh too much, and he managed to lift him without hurting himself after he locked the car.

Nudging the door closed, Wan-Nu carried Ike up the flight of stairs to the door, then somehow managed to open it without dropping the guy. When he got that door closed, he headed toward the living room, only to stop when he saw who was already there.

En-Ti sat with Sahn-Re cuddled in his lap, the slightly smaller guy clinging tightly to a large stuffed teddy bear that En-Ti had to have won him at the amusement park. Wan-Nu nodded to En-Ti, not saying anything even when the guy lifted his eyebrow at him and Ike, because Sahn-Re was snoring quietly and neither of them wanted to wake either person.

Moving as quietly as he could, Wan-Nu made his way to his own room. It wasn't really meant to have been a bedroom, just like Tay-Yun's. Where Tay-Yun got the larger of the two makeshift bedrooms, Wan-Nu had claimed the smallest one. He didn't stay all the time since he had his own home and liked to try and date, sometimes. It was hard to impress a woman if he was competing with Ello's guys, so he did his best to keep them out of his meager personal life.

Shaking his head, Wan-Nu nudged his door open and brought Ike over to his small twin bed. Once he was all tucked in, he hurried to turn off the light, then leave, shutting the door quietly behind him. He was just turning around to go find En-Ti when the guy stopped next to his door, Sahn-Re in his arms. The teddy bear was nowhere to be seen, having likely been left on the sofa.

"He got worn out quickly. Probably because he's still a little sick. I'm going to be with him tonight, if you could bring us some bland rice when everyone decides to eat later?"

Wan-Nu nodded right away, reaching forward to settle a hand over Sahn-Re's forehead.

"Yeah, definitely a little warm." Wan-Nu whispered. "Take care of him. I'll bring you guys some stuff in a bit."

En-Ti nodded, then silently gave Wan-Nu an awkward small grin.

"Best to change that jacket." He said before carrying Sahn-Re to his room.

Frowning, Wan-Nu glanced down, only to suddenly remember that Ike had given him his jacket when they'd left the company building. He quickly shrugged out of it and draped it over a chair, then dropped down onto the sofa and picked up one of the books he'd left there for the few rare minutes he got to himself. He made himself comfortable against the large stuffed bear that had, indeed, been left, but before he allowed himself to get lost in his book, however, he pulled his phone to check for messages.

There was one small one from the police officer he had contacted saying that he'd gotten statements from the other two members of the band and that one of them could possibly be used as a witness, along with Teller and Ike, if they were willing. He said that he'd need more time to really put together the case, but he should be able to manage something before the end of the month.

Glad that the police were taking things seriously, Wan-Nu flagged the message, then wrote a text to Tay-Yun.

En-Ti is back with Sahn-Re. He's not feeling well so they're both in his room right now. Ike took some really strong pain killers so he's out like a light. The police let me know that they're moving along with the case, so hopefully we'll get something on that soon. Let me know when you two are on your way back and I'll start heating up some dinner.

He turned his attention to his book after finishing the message and got about twenty pages in when he got a response.

We're staying at a hotel tonight.

Wan-Nu's mouth dropped open as the book fell from his other hand. He was just scrambling to respond with something similar to hell no! when the screen lit up again with a new message.

Just kidding. We'll be home in about twenty minutes. Enjoy your book and momentary free time... and possible heart attack.

Cursing in his mind, Wan-Nu leaned his head back against the sofa and gave a quiet sigh. All the Ello boys, plus a few, were going to be the death of him. He just knew it.

(Kinda enjoying letting anyone have a point of view without having to separate everything. It's pretty fun and more relaxing.)
