The muffled sound of the front door closing nudged Sahn-Re out of his sleep. He stretched his one arm that wasn't being restricted by something, and yawned. The blankets kept him perfectly warm, while the fan overhead cooled him just enough.
Smiling sleepily, Sahn-Re opened his eyes slowly, only to see En-Ti's sleeping face. He nearly jerked himself up, surprised to see him so close, but then he realized that he wasn't even on the bed. En-Ti was kneeling on the floor, and seemed to have fallen asleep without intending to.
Looking down at his arm in the dim room, Sahn-Re noticed En-Ti's hand gently wrapped around it, near his wrist. His thumb was resting over the pulse point.
"Were you that worried? I said I would be okay after a little more rest..." He whispered, more to himself then with the intent to wake En-Ti up. "You have circles under your eyes."
Sitting up, Sahn-Re leaned over and gently brushed his fingers against En-Ti's cheek. "En-Ti?" He asked as he moved to run his hand through the young man's hair. "En-Ti, you can't sleep like that."
"Why n..." En-Ti mumbled, his mouth barely moving.
"Because, you'll catch a cold if you aren't in a bed." Sahn-Re pointed out, as if it wasn't common knowledge.
He knew that En-Ti never slept very well if he wasn't tucked into his bed. Whenever he wound up falling asleep on the sofa, he tended to not feel well the next morning.
"Go to bed, En-Ti."
En-Ti chuckled quietly, but didn't move or respond after several moments.
"En-Ti? Hey, Enteiii." Sahn-Re said, joking about the guy's name sounding like the fire Pokemon because he knew that it tended to bug him.
That taunt got the guy to open one eye, making Sahn-Re grin. "En. Tee. I am not a dog." He mumbled, earning a pat on the head that made him scowl.
"Stop petting me." En-Ti grumbled, earning another pat that had him pushing up from the ground and climbing into the bed, only to drop down onto his side, nudging Sahn-Re a bit.
"Hey, this is my bed. Not yours." Sahn-Re mumbled as he tried to shove En-Ti away halfheartedly.
His efforts earned him a chuckle, making Sahn-Re give an unintentionally cute grunt. "Gotta push a little harder, kiddo." En-Ti teased right before Sahn-Re flopped down over his chest, making En-Ti grunt.
"Rude." En-Ti said before blowing a breath of air toward Sahn-Re's face, rustling his hair as he turned his head so that their eyes could meet.
"You climbed into my bed." Sahn-Re reminded him, earning only an eye roll in response.
"Um... I, brought food?" Teller said from where he was standing in the doorway, awkwardly holding up two plates of reheated food.
Sahn-Re immediately moved off of En-Ti, allowing the guy to slip from the bed and retrieve the plates. "Thanks." He said, lifting them with a wink that made Teller's eyebrows lift slightly.
"No problem." He said before turning around and promptly leaving, unsure what he'd actually walked in on.
"Everything okay in there, Teller?" Tay-Yun asked as he walked into the kitchen.
Teller settled on one of the kitchen stools as Tay-Yun heated up some of the leftover rice and vegetables in a frying pan, having not wanted to use the microwave for once.
"I think there are a lot of sad fangirls out there right now... or maybe, happy ones?"
Tay-Yun glanced at him over his shoulder, giving Teller a look that was half confused and half shocked. "Did you walk in on them doing... things?" He asked, making Teller's face warm slightly.
"I don't think so? Technically?"
"Technically?" Tay-Yun replied as he turned off the burners, then filled both of their plates with food and turned around, bringing them over to the counter near where Teller sat, then taking a seat beside him.
"You two know that Sahn-Re has a crush on En-Ti, right?" Wan-Nu said nonchalantly as he walked into the kitchen, heading for the fridge for his likely mid-day piece of fruit.
Teller stared at Tay-Yun, earning a look right back before both of them turned their attention to Wan-Nu. "What?" "What?" They asked in unison.
Wan-Nu shut the fridge, an apple in his hand as he turned to face them, leaning back against the counter. "You really didn't notice, Tay-Yun? After how much time they spend together?"
Tay-Yun's mouth had dropped open, but he quickly shut it, then tried to speak, but ended up closing it several more times before he could find words to speak. "I thought, maybe, En-Ti? But not Sahn-Re."
Wan-Nu took a bite of his apple, remaining silent as he chewed, then swallowed. Teller and Tay-Yun took that opportunity to dig into their own food, quite hungry since they hadn't eaten much.
"I'm sure En-Ti likes him just as much, but you know how dense he can be." Wan-Nu said, getting a nod from Tay-Yun right away.
Teller was just opening his mouth to ask another question when a knock interrupted him. Considering the amount of strength behind it to make it loud enough to rattle the door, Teller could only assume who was there.
"I got it." Wan-Nu said at the same time Tay-Yun jumped from his stool and stalked toward the door on Wan-Nu's heels.
Teller stayed back far enough to be out of the way but still see who was standing on the doorstep when they opened the door. "Wait."
His brows scrunched together as he ran forward, stopping right before he could take a step outside. "How? Grandma?"
"Oh, you look so good! I was worried, my little Tel!"
How in the world is she here? And how did she just knock so hard on the door? What does she really do at book club?
"You look surprised. That's okay, you never were the best at catching hints." She said, as if he wasn't standing right there with two of his friends, mouth open from shock.
Stepping inside, she gave both Wan-Nu and Tay-Yun a short bow, then grinned up at Tay-Yun, making him fidget a little. "Hello." Tay-Yun responded after an awkward minute of silence.
His simple greeting sparked a light in Teller's grandmother's eyes, bringing a smirk to her lips. "I recognize your voice. You must be the one whose stolen my grandson's heart... among other things."
"Grandma!" Teller yelled unintentionally loud, earning a glare from his grandma that could have made a lumberjack cower.
"Did you make your bed this morning? No, I don't think so. Did you sweep the room, too? Put your shoes and clean clothes away? Or are they still packed and you're just living out of your bag?"
Teller's mouth slowly closed. "That's what I thought. I should have skipped book club, you're a mess, Tel. Go, clean up. I have things to talk to your friends about."
But they're my friends!
Scowling, Teller turned and stomped down the hall, hearing a chuckle from Tay-Yun before he got out of hearing range. He spent the next hour cleaning up Tay-Yun's room, finding a spare drawer in his dresser to put his things for the moment, then making the large bed.
He was tempted to just crawl into it and hide from what he knew his grandmother was probably spouting to his new friends... and boyfriend. She's going to ruin whatever this is, before it can even begin. He groaned in his mind miserably before falling into the bed. The soft blankets and scent of his boyfriend slowly calmed his frantic mind, but he didn't hear the door creak open, so he jumped slightly when a gentle hand settled on his shoulder.
"Teller?"
Tay-Yun.
Turning his face into the blanket, Teller decided to be childish and not respond. There was silence from the man leaning over him for a moment before he felt his weight suddenly drop onto his back, making him grunt.
"Hey! You're heavy." Teller grumbled as he glared over his shoulder at a grinning Tay-Yun.
"How many of my deep, dark secrets do you know now?" Teller said, trying to keep up his frustration.
Tay-Yun rolled off of him, but then pulled him into a hug against his chest before nuzzling into Teller's hair. "Nothing."
Teller blinked in surprise, lifting his gaze to Tay-Yun as the man leaned back so that their eyes could meet. "What do you mean? I know my grandmother loves to talk way too much about me..."
Leaning in, Tay-Yun claimed his lips for a long kiss before barely moving away enough to reply. "I want to learn about you, from you. I loved some of her stories, but I told her I want to hear your secrets and special memories you think worth sharing, from you."
Is this guy real?
Trying to hold in a grin, Teller leaned back in and pressed his lips against Tay-Yun's. "Sorry, I was pouting. I just wasn't expecting to see her here and was worried you wouldn't care for some of the strange things she says." He said.
Tay-Yun nodded, rustling Teller's hair enough for the guy to try and get away from him, only to be stopped by his arms. "She said that she had saved a little money before she fell ill and got a ticket when you bought yours, but could only afford a few weeks, not the entire month. The ticket was not something she could return, and she wanted to surprise you and spend some time with you."
"That accent is really distracting and sexy... and I just said that out loud." Teller said, his words dying in volume until they ended in a scratchy whisper.
Tay-Yun was looking at him with a thoughtful expression that made Teller's belly feel like it was filled with little angry birds, because butterflies just wouldn't have been able to make him feel so uneasy.
"I'm not sure I see sexy." Tay-Yun said as he leaned in and brushed his nose against Teller's. "But I very much see distracting. Cute. Sweet. Kind." He paused for a moment, then leaned over Teller on his knees and hooked his thumbs into the waistband of Teller's pants, raising one eyebrow as he did so.
"But I am sure I can find sexy very easily if we lose these?"
Before Teller could get his mouth to work, Tay-Yun burst out laughing.
"Hey! That's not funny!" Teller growled, only to be silenced as Tay-Yun climbed over him and pressed their mouths together.
Teller returned the kiss without hesitation. He might be throwing a bit of a fit, but he couldn't ever resist Tay-Yun. The guy was so much more than what the television showed him as, even though he was gorgeous, handsome, and smart on TV all the time.
Teller's mind began to swim as he focused his hardest on just keeping his breathing even. When he felt fingers trace up beneath his shirt, he felt his heart pound hard against his chest. I hope he can't feel it. He thought as he hesitantly inched his own hands around to Tay-Yun's back, gripping his jacket for a moment before thoughts of Miyo had his eyes opening partially.
As odd as it seemed, remembering Tay-Yun's likely past love didn't make Teller want to retreat. Instead, he licked his lips when they took a few seconds to catch their breath, then spread his fingers out along Tay-Yun's firm back, pressing softly into the fabric of the coat.
"I think I might love you." He whispered, drawing a cocky smirk from Tay-Yun that he was beginning to love just as much as his accent when he spoke in English.
Tay-Yun let out a breath, then shook his head before leaning in for a quick kiss. His thumbs rubbed along Teller's belly beneath his shirt, making him squirm.
"I think you just might." Tay-Yun replied before moving away abruptly to stand beside the bed.
"As much fun as that was, your grandmother's stories are quite intriguing. We can continue where we left off tonight, okay, little Tel?"
Teller bristled as he got off the bed and fixed his shirt, then tried to smooth down his messy hair. "I'm sleeping on the couch." He grumbled before stomping out of the bedroom door, Tay-Yun's laughter, once again, following him down the hall.
