Mikyle smiles softly once again at the baby and lifts the small infant into his arms. Mikyle moves slowly as if not to disturb the baby, towards the back of the small home.

     "Viktoriya, come here," he calls out to his wife. Victoriya enters the room gracefully, she does everything gracefully. In fact before she followed her heart and married Mikyle instead of royalty she was gazed upon with love and respect from the townspeople because of her families importance. Even though she lost her family's respect and her title she had never lost her grace and beauty. And now as she gazed upon the small infant she simply glowed with delight. 

     Viktoriya reaches down and lays a thin hand on the baby's cheek. Viktoriya looks into her husbands eyes "where did you find her?," she asks gently. 

     "Vladimir found her in the forest," Mikyle replies "she is something truly beautiful sent from the Gods, we must protect her no matter what may come, Viktoriya." the baby gazes around at everyone with her bright round eyes and smiles. 

     Vladimir, not entirely understanding why his parents were so protective over this small baby he found rolls onto his tip-toes to get a better look at what he suspected he saw before. The baby appears to be some sort of hybrid, the fox skin blanket he believed was wrapped around her earlier was actually a fully bright orange fox tail that appeared to be sprouting right from the baby's back. On the top of her head were two small swiveling fox ears that occasionally twitched. 

     There has long since been stories of the gods, the god of grain, the god of night, the god of the sky, the god of the forest and more. The Dresvyanin family was graced by the God of the forest. The Tale of Milo has been passed down from generation to generation with the hope that she would one day be found. Because an outcast family had found her she was going to bring them up to a more powerful status in their village. (I have more about the religion in another book -- published soon)
