XV.

Lisa had a fake smile plastered on her face, hoping that the sadness in her eyes wouldn't give herself away as she glanced out the car window, her head pressed against the cold glass as the rain poured.

All she had to do was get through the night and confront Jungkook about it afterwards.

Simple and easy. But Lalisa's nerves wouldn't calm down and she had trouble breathing, constantly gulping to shove the tears away.

Jungkook, who was driving the car, barely paid any attention to her, which was understandable as he needed to focus on the road.

But something in Lisa's mind reminded her that he used to communicate with her as they drove miles on end with each other.

How she wished she could turn back time.

"We're here," Jungkook's voice brought Lisa out of her thoughts and she heaved a small sigh as she opened the car door and stepped onto the cement.

Glancing at the restaurant, Lalisa wondered why Jungkook's parents chose this restaurant, as it seemed to be very costly. Through the windows, she could see workers bustling around the beautiful interior.

Jungkook held Lisa by the arm and guided her in, to which Lisa smiled.

When the couple spotted his parents, they mustered their happiest expression they could place and approached them.

Lisa of course let them speak with their son, and when his mother came to give her a hug, Lisa embraced her back but she could feel her smile slipping off slowly as she thought of her mother's hugs, who she hadn't seen for months.

The four of them sat down and ordered food, and dinner passed by in a rush. Words were exchanged as well as many laughs, and Lalisa was happy to see Jungkook conversing with his parents after a long time.

"We have something we wanted to say," Jungkook's mom started, glancing between them, holding her husband's hand.

"Yes, Eomma?" Jungkook questioned, eyeing them in curiosity.

"When are you two settling down? I don't want to pressure you but it's been three years since the two of you started dating and I want some grandchildren."

Lisa froze in her seat, knowing exactly what was running inside of his head. How was he to have children with her if he didn't love her anymore?

Jungkook seemed to be having the same reaction as Lalisa. Neither of them spoke or moved, before Jungkook opened his mouth then closed it again like a goldfish.

"Uh... we'll think about it, Eomma," Jungkook said, forcing a smile on his face.

His mother seemed joyed and Lisa's heart broke, knowing that she wouldn't get the grandchildren she wanted.

Jungkook then proceeded to stand up and responded quickly, "It's getting late. We should go home. See you later?"

The four said their goodbyes as Lisa and Jungkook departed to their car. Lisa felt a string of dread in her stomach, knowing the upcoming conversation between them.

Instead, when they got into the car, Jungkook stayed still in front of the wheel for a second, before turning to her with absolutely no emotion, "Do you want to talk over ice cream?"

At this hour? No. But if they were going to have a talk, she might as well do it at a public place.

"Sure."

In her mind, another reason was added into her Reasons to Let Go list.

Reason #15: When he asks to go out with me, he can't even be sweet about it.
