"Jungkook?"

Lisa noticed her voice knocked her partner out of his thoughts, his attention now on her rather than the book in his hands. She had taken note of how he seemed to be more attentive towards her, and it slightly warmed her how he wasn't being as rude as before.

"Yes, love?" Jungkook replied, tucking a piece of folded paper between the pages of the book where he left off at. He put the book at the desk where he did most of his studies and such, and turned his chair to face her.

"Uh— if I'm disturbing you, I can come back another time..." Lisa's voice trailed off seeing the look of disapproval masking his face. He simply shook his head, halting her thoughts.

"You could never be a bother to me."

His words caused Lisa to narrow her brown eyes in suspicion, and she wondered what had changed in the past couple of days since the situation with Mingyu. Skeptically, she nodded, a serene smile landing on her lips.

"Well, can I go out?" Normally, Lisa wouldn't ask since she was entitled to her own life but she wanted to avoid any possible arguments in the moments of his sudden calmness.

"Why would you ask me?"

The question resulted in a bewildered expression on Lisa's face. Her mouth was slightly open in surprise, and she could only blink. This wasn't the Jungkook she knew only a couple of days prior. This was the stranger that she had met in the beginning stages of their relationship, the one she fell in love with.

Well, now that she thought about it, he was simply showing basic human decency. Maybe he was changing for the better?

Yet, Lisa still felt scared, scared to trust him again. Would he change again? Would he hurt her again?

What was she even thinking? He shows one speck of good behavior and suddenly she's thinking that she's in love again. Lalisa inwardly rolled her eyes, directing her attention back onto Jungkook, who looked slightly concerned and yet amused.

"I don't know, but I'll, uh, get going," she tried to smile at him, but it wouldn't reach her eyes. Lisa turned around and began to reach for her purse, but Jungkook's voice stopped her.

"Lisa?"

She hummed while reaching for her bag, willing him to go further with his words.

"You know I love you, right?"

Those six words froze her on the spot. They felt foreign to her, and that was upsetting since they were dating. Attempting to get out of her trance, she tried to nod, but her head felt stiff and so did her posture.

Lalisa didn't say those three words back.

She felt the guilt eat her up inside once she left the house and processed her actions, but it was only fair. If he truly loved her, he would try and earn her trust again, try and treat her better. Ever since their little ice cream date, he had been acting strangely like the guy she fell in love with.

Lalisa sighed, feeling stupid. Didn't he say he was falling out of love? What kind of behavior was this? Was he lying?

That was the conclusion she opted with, and she felt even worse than to begin with. He lied about loving her, just to gain her trust again. Lalisa didn't understand the situation, and it didn't make sense to her. But either way, she made a mental note to add to her "Reasons to Let Go" list.

Reason #19: He lied about loving me.
