Saturday
After getting Reese some water and putting him back to bed. Stephanie headed back to bed herself. This time she left her bedroom light on. The woman standing next to the crib kept her thoughts running and sleep wouldn't come again. By seven all three kids were up. Stephanie went and got Leland from his crib and carried him downstairs where his siblings were already watching cartoons.
"What would you guys like for breakfast?" Stephanie asked them. "Mini wheats" Sasha called out. "Cherrioes" Reese said. Neither kid took their eyes off the tv. Stephanie placed Leland on the floor next to Reese and headed into the kitchen to get the kids their cereal.
All the cupboard doors flew open at the same time as she walked in. She screamed and all the doors slammed shut again. Stephanie fled back into the living room. She needed to check on the kids. Seeing that all three kids where still where they were she turned and went back towards the kitchen. To her surprise there were two bowls on the table. She cautiously walked closer to the table. She looked at the two bowls. They were full of the cereal each kid had asked for. The milk and two spoons sat beside the bowls. Stephanie shook her head to clear thoughts. "Steph why are you just staring at the bowls?" Sasha asked her.
Stephanie whipped around and stared at the girl. "I am sorry. Did you get the breakfast?"
Sasha shook her head. "No Melody got it. She said she could pour the milk and she came to get me." Now Stephanie was getting angry. She knew the kid had to playing a joke. "Go sit. I will bring the bowls." She said to the young girl. Sasha turned and left the kitchen.
Shaking her head Stephanie poured the milk and took the bowls. She handed Reese his cereal and Sasha hers. "Now a bottle for you." Stephanie said to Leland. Once again she went to the kitchen. The milk was gone off the table and in it's place was a warm bottle. Now she knew something was up. "Alright enough of this nonsense." Stephanie said out loud.
She turned and walked back with the bottle in hand. She picked up Leland and fed him his bottle. She knew she could give him baby food also and planned to give him some at noon. Leland finished the bottle and cooed. Then he began squirming, so Stephanie placed him back on the floor. He smiled and began crawling. He went over to Reese and reached in his brother bowl. Reese laughed and allowed his little brother to take a Cheerio.
Sasha finished her breakfast and took her empty bowl to the sink. Soon Reese finished his, with Leland's help, and done the same. That was the morning, by the afternoon Reese and Sasha wanted to go out and play. Deciding that was a good idea they all went outside. Leland crawled around in the grass and Stephanie had to keep taking it out of his mouth. Sasha and Reese were playing with a frisbee.
Stephanie looked back towards the house. As she looked at it she could have sworn someone was looking at her from the kitchen window. This person looked angry and vanished before her eyes.
After a couple hours in the sun, Stephanie told the kids they could go inside or at least into the shade. The kids agreed. "Can we have ice cream?" Reese asked.
"I don't know if you guys have any. Should we go look?" She replied.
Both Sasha and Reese jumped up cheering. "Let's go look!" They said together. Stephanie laughed as she picked up Leland.
The rest of the day was filled with laughs, games of tag and cartoons. They had pancakes and waffles for supper. No more incidents happened and Stephanie was relieved. The kids went to bed without any issues, they had tired themselves out. Deciding to watch some tv. Stephanie made some popcorn and sat down.
~~~3:00 a.m. ~~~
Stephanie woke up with a start. She had the feeling someone was watching her. She sat up looking around. She realized she was still downstairs and the television was still on. The feeling however didn't go away. In fact it intensified when Stephanie stood up and turned off the tv. She picked up the baby monitor and her cell phone. She carefully walked up the stairs. She checked on each kid before she went to her own temporary room. She flipped her light on and found her cloths. She changed, flipped the light off and climbed into bed. She closed her eyes and fell asleep once again.
A couple hours later she once again woke with the feeling of someone standing beside her. She opened her eyes and there staring back at her was Reese. He was just standing there staring at her with this weird look on his face. "Reese do you need something?" Stephanie asked the boy.
No answer.
"I will take you back to bed." Stephanie said as she sat up. Reese didn't even move or blink. "What is behind your back?" Stephanie asked as she noticed the boys hands behind his back. This time Reese smiled wider.
