Sky begins to hear whispers.

They follow him everywhere, and he isn't sure if he's going insane or if this is just another one of his hallucinations.

They flicker in his vision, starting off as formless shimmers of mist before distorting into faceless bodies.

The entities rarely bother him, instead floating around aimlessly through walls and rooms. Sometimes they wail and screech in their own time.

The only way that they'll stop is whenever he's around.

Sky doesn't understand why most of them are staying in his house.

He finally sees a face for the first time.

Usually they're just clumps of mist with vague outlines, but never faces.

He only caught a glimpse of it. Missing eyes and a distorted face in the appearance of a much taller skeleton.

...

It looked weirdly similar to his brother's face.

He passes by the unoccupied houses and stores in the Underground.

There were more faces following after him.

"—i. Oi, Phantom!" Nix growls before flicking Phantom's forehead, making the other snap out of his trance.

The taller skeleton blinked a few times before processing everything around him. He and his partner were sitting out at an empty bar.

...that's right.

Nix offered him to make him a drink to help him ease his mind. Phantom stares blankly at the shot glass that was half-full of whiskey.

"You were doing that thing again."

"Huh? What thing?" He replies before rubbing his head.

"That thing where you stare into space for hours! What're you even looking at? It's like you can see things that I can't." Nix says sarcastically before crossing his arms, not knowing that he was right about what was happening.

"...I can see ghosts." Phantom says after a minute with a shrug.

"...I already know that."

Nix lets out a relieved sigh before patting Phantom's shoulder.

"Maybe it was bad to let you try alcohol for the first time..."
