Klaus Pov

Klaus woke up in Ric's apartment in his own body. He sat up and smirked, he was amazed that his mate had the audacity to do that to him.

Klaus walked into the kitchen to see his witch friend Greta, she was beyond shocked and confused.

"How did you...?"

"A feisty Elemental figured me out"

Greta sighed "Of course Elementals can see aura's"

"It was her, she's the one"

"Are you sure?"

Klaus nodded "She's with Elijah, she's safe, she'll be safer with the rest of us"

"She'll be a hell of a lot safer after you're a hybrid, t-minus five days remember"

"She might help, she has to, I need her blood"

"Then you better get with the flirting, I have a lot to do before the ritual" 

Klaus smirked at Greta's words then left the apartment.

Rory's pov

"Are you alright Aurora?" asked Elijah

"I'm fine, Klaus will most likely be on his way here now"

"We shall be ready for him, I suggest you put on the necklace I gave you, we don't want you getting hurt"

"Well you don't" said Damon

Elijah sped over to Damon and pushed him against the wall with his hand on Damon's throat.

"I have still yet to punish you for laying your hands on her"

"We had a deal Elijah" said Elena

Elena's words seemed to have no effect on him. Rory walked up to him and put her hand on his forearm making him look at her.

"Its okay, calm down"

Elijah let Damon go with a warning not to piss him off again.

"What is going on with you two?" asked Jenna

"Its a long story" explained Elijah

"Why did Klaus say he'd been waiting a thousand years for me?" asked Rory

"When we were created our mother told us that there would be one that we would all love and protect, a soulmate, I believe that is you as does my brother it would seem"

"Me?"

Elijah nodded

"That explains a lot actually, seeing as most vampires have soulmates and even some humans, they are rare in humans though" said Stefan

Everybody jumped when there was a knock at the door. Rory walked up to the door and opened it, when she looked at the man standing there she felt the fuzzy feeling again, she knew it was him, Klaus and in the right body this time.

"Hello again Love"

"Klaus I presume"

As Rory said that Elijah sped to her side, the others also came to the foyer.

"Hello brother" said Klaus

"Why did you come back here Niklaus?" asked Elijah

"Is it a crime to want to know her?" he said smiling at Rory

"No but it is a crime to want to murder my sister" said Rory with a little sass

"Needs must love"

"I know where the stone is if you want it?"

"Aurora!" shouted Elena

"Like I don't listen to your conversations and besides I want this over and done with"

"Lead the way love"

"No" ordered Damon

Rory turned to look at them but froze them all with her magic, even bonnie and Jenna.

"Sorry guys, needs must. I'll be back in a minute, try not to kill each other while I'm gone"

Rory ran up to her room and changed into some clothes, put on the necklace Elijah gave her, she picked up her phone and car keys and went back down the stairs.

"Alright we can go now" Rory left the house and closed the door behind her.

She walked down the path and turned around, she put up a barrier around the house and unfroze the others.

She turned around and made her way towards her car "One of you is going to have to sit int he back" she said getting into the drivers seat.

Rory watched as the others came out of the house but the barrier forced them not to go beyond the porch. Rory put her keys into the ignition and drove off with Elijah siting next to her and Klaus in the back.

When they arrived at the Salvatore house Klaus took Rory aside for a chat.

"Why are you ding this Love? Betraying your own blood"

"First Elena is adopted so she's not my blood, second I want this over with my life is already complicated, a little peace is all I want" she said walking off towards the house.

"Will the Bennet witch be able to break your barrier?" asked Elijah

"No, elemental magic and witch magic are different, we can interfere with each others magic" she said walking through the front door. 

Rory kept walking into the house.

"Seems you'll have to retrieve it love"

Rory turned around to see Klaus and Elijah standing in the doorway.

"Oh right, I'll get it"

The boys listened as she walked up the stairs to Damon's room and into his bathroom, she grabbed the moonstone form the soap basket and made her way back down to the boys, showing Klaus the stone when she came into their view.

"Finally" he said "Come on then, time to go"

"I need to bring down the barrier around my house"

"Your not going back there Love, after today they will try and hurt you" explained Klaus

"I can't just not go home Klaus"

"You can stay at the house with us" said Elijah

"House?"

"I think you'll like it darling" said Elijah

"Can at least get some of my stuff?"

"Sure but Elijah's going with you"

"I figured"

"I'll meet you at the house brother, Aurora" said Klaus as he sped away

Rory and Elijah got back into the car and drove back to the house to collect some of Rory's stuff. They got out of the car and walked up the path of the house, they walked through the door to see the others in the living room looking angry.

"Tell me you didn't give it to him?" asked Elena

"I could, but I'd be lying, I only came back here to collect some stuff"

Rory walked up the stairs with Elijah, she walked into her room and took her two duffel bags out of her closet and put them on her bed, she packed her clothes and her spell books into one and the other was filled with shoes, and other valuable items, she hadn't unpacked much since she got back so there wasn't much to pack up.

Rory walked into her bathroom and packed up her toiletries and makeup, she put her little bag into the other one.

"Anything I can help with?" asked Elijah as he came up behind her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Not at the moment" she said putting her drawing pencils into her backpack.

"I know this is hard..."

"I made my choice Elijah, I chose you and the others over people who have never been there for me *sigh* Did I ever tell you why I left Mystic Falls?" she asked sitting on the edge of her bed.

"No" he said sitting next to her.

"I had just graduated and I went to New York for a month to study with another Elemental and...I was walking home one night and I cut through an alley because I was tired, which Is probably I didn't hear the man"

Elijah realised there and then that she had shown him great trust through the smallest of actions. He also realised that there was a reason she seemed to be a little closed off.

"Did he...hurt you?"

Rory nodded as she put her head on his shoulder.

"After that It was just too painful to look at my family every day, so I left and I never came back"

"You never told them?"

Rory shook her head which was still on Elijah's shoulder.

"I guess that's why I sided with you and not them, I know you'd never hurt me"

"None of us will ever let you get hurt again, I swear it" he said wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
