*Mika and Elijah happily bond with each other while Joe gets himself and Mika food and coffee! Enjoy! 👶🏼*

August 11th, 2020

It is currently nine in the morning on a beautiful and warm summer day in Jupiter, Florida.

Mika and Joe have just welcomed their miracle baby boy, Elijah Zbigniew Scarborough into the world at 7:47 this morning!

Mika woke up at 2am this morning with lots of contractions and her labor was faster than it was with both of her daughters. Luckily, Mika and Joe were able to get to the hospital in time!

Joe was right by Mika's side the whole entire time, encouraging Mika and being the most supportive partner. Mika knows she couldn't have done it without Joe and this experience has made her fall in even more in love with him.

For the past hour, Joe and Mika have been holding and getting to know their brand new baby boy and also trying to relax after a quick but smooth delivery!

Mika and Elijah have been cuddling together, with Elijah laying on Mika's bare chest while she rests in her hospital bed.

A few minutes ago, Joe left Mika's hospital room to head downstairs to the hospital's cafeteria to get himself and Mika something to eat and some coffee!

Mika slowly looks down at Elijah, who is peacefully laying and sleeping on her chest, listening to her heartbeat, something he heard every single day in the womb.

"Hi, baby boy. Hi! You are so so handsome just like your Daddy is. Yes, you are. You look just like a little Scarborough." Mika softly says, rubbing Elijah's head, that is full of brownish red hair.

"You have so much hair, baby boy. Oh my goodness! You have me so much heart burn when you were in my belly and that's okay. I'm so glad you have lots of beautiful hair. You are a little redhead like your grandpa Chief was. Uh huh!" Mika says in a babyfied voice as Elijah coos.

"You are such a little miracle, Elijah. Mommy and Daddy both love you so much. You have eight older siblings who love you and can't wait to meet you! You have four sisters and four brothers." Mika says softly as she rubs Elijah's back and tenderly kisses his head.

"You have four older siblings from your Daddy. Two big brothers named Joey and Andrew. They are both happily married to incredible ladies named Catherine and Brianna. Then, you have a big sister named Katherine but we call her Kat or Kate! She just turned seventeen and hoped you were going to be born on her birthday but that's okay, your birthday is only a few days after hers! And finally, you have a big brother named Jack! He is twelve and he is the coolest kid. He can't believe is he finally going to be a big brother." Mika softly says to Elijah and Elijah coos.

"And then you have two siblings from Mommy! You have a big sister named Emilie and a big sister named Carlie. Both of them have graduated college and are having fun as young adults and they can't believe that their mom had a baby!" Mika says with a chuckle as Elijah yawns.

"Joey and Andrew's mom is Melanie and Kate and Jack's mom is Susan. Emilie and Carlie's dad is Jim. All three of them are amazing and are excited to spoil you." Mika says, holding Elijah's little hand. 

"Also, you have a big brother and big sister that are twins! Their names are William and Emilie. They aren't from Mommy but from a very special person named Tia, who is an angel. She is your angel aunt. After Tia went to heaven, Daddy and Mommy help  their Daddy George as much as they can. William and Emilie love you just like they would a little brother." Mika says as Elijah wiggles a little on Mika's chest, causing her to smile.

"There are so many other people in our big family who aren't biologically related to us, but they will always be family. Yeah!" Mika says in a babyfied voice as she smiles down at Elijah and Elijah coos.

"I love you, Elijah. I love you so much." Mika says, tenderly kissing Elijah's head before she slowly drifts off to sleep.

*20 minutes later*

Joe is back on the mother baby ward floor after going downstairs to the hospital cafeteria.

Joe has managed to walk through the hospital cafeteria and the hospital Starbucks without being spotted by people who recognize him from Morning Joe.

Joe and Mika haven't told the public about the pregnancy so they want to keep it under wraps for a little while longer! 

Joe carefully opens Mika's hospital room door and sees Mika sitting up and sleeping with Elijah on her chest.

Joe carefully sits the two sub sandwiches and two Starbucks coffees down on Mika's side table and washes his hands in the sink that is in the room.

Joe walks over to Mika and softly rubs her shoulder to wake her up.

"Meek, Meek." Joe says softly to Mika and Mika slowly wakes up.

"Hi, baby." Mika says in a whisper at Joe with a sleepy smile.

"Hi, beautiful. I'm back. I'm sorry I took so long, I got lost." Joe says as Mika smiles.

"It's okay. I've just been cuddling with Elijah. What did you get us?" Mika asks Joe and Joe smiles back at Mika.

"I got you your favorite sub from Subway which is a turkey breast sub and your favorite Starbucks coffee which is a red eye misto that is extra hot and has extra foam." Joe says with a cheeky grin, causing Mika to smile.

For her whole entire pregnancy, Mika didn't have any kind of deli meat as well as no coffee. Both things she really loves and enjoys to have.

Mika knew she could safely have at least one coffee a day but she wanted to stay safe and not have any coffee or deli meat.

"Joe, thank you, baby. I am absolutely starving and oh that coffee smells so good! I can't wait to chug it down!" Mika says with a cheeky grin at Joe and he giggles.

"You are very welcome! I got myself a coffee and sub too. I know our nurse said that lunch wouldn't be here until 12 and right now it is only 9:30. I am starving too." Joe says with Mika giggling at him.

As a patient in the hospital, Mika gets three meals a day and since Joe is Mika's husband he also can get three hospital meals as well in the baby mother ward! 

"Thank you so much, baby. I love you." Mika says softly to Joe, smiling up at him.

"You're welcome, Meek. And I love you too! I love you so much." Joe says as he bends down to give Mika a few kisses before he softly kisses Elijah's head, causing Elijah to coo in his sleep.

"Elijah has been sleeping on my chest while you have been gone and I think I fell asleep for a little bit too." Mika says with a sleepy grin at Joe and Joe smiles back.

"You need to get your rest, baby. After you eat, you should take a nice long nap. You worked extremely hard today having our little man. You did absolutely incredible today and I am so so proud of you." Joe says softly to Mika with a grin. 

"Aww Joe, you are so sweet." Mika says wanting another kiss from Joe.

Joe and Mika softly kiss each other a few more times and they look into each other's eyes before they both look down at Elijah.

Elijah is happily sleeping on Mika's bare chest and is curled up in a little ball like how he was twelve hours ago in Mika's womb.

"I still can't believe we have a baby, Joe. I can't believe he is even real." Mika says in a whisper at Joe as she admires Elijah.

"Me either. I still can't believe we could make babies at our ages." Joe says jokingly causing Mika to giggle again.

"Well, we still can! Don't get any ideas, Elijah will be our one and only." Mika says with some sass, causing Joe to chuckle.

"That's perfectly fine with me, Meek. Elijah is just so perfect just like you are." Joe says as Mika playfully rolls her eyes.

"Oh stop. You are perfect to me Joe. I still can't tell who he looks like just yet." Mika says, rubbing Elijah's cheek with her thumb.

"I see a lot of you." Joe says to Mika with a grin.

"Aww really? I see a lot of you and my dad. An adorable mixture in my opinion." Mika says as Joe smiles, rubbing Elijah's head.

"Chief would have loved Elijah." Joe says softly and Mika nods, trying to nod tear up about her deceased father.

"And spoiled him. He spoiled all of his grandkids rotten. He was the more fun grandparent. My mom is fun too but a tad more strict." Mika says as Joe giggles and he kisses her forehead.

"Do you want me to put Elijah in his crib for a little bit while you eat your late breakfast?" Joe asks Mika softly, tenderly rubbing her cheek.

"Yes, please. I don't want to get food all over him. I feel bad not holding him all of the time." Mika says with a giggle and Joe giggles back.

"It's okay! He will be okay for a little bit. He is sleeping anyway. You need to focus on you too, baby." Joe says reassuring Mika causing her to smile.

Mika hasn't had a newborn baby in over twenty years so she is a little rusty while Joe hasn't had a newborn baby in twelve years.

Joe carefully picks up Elijah from Mika's bare chest and holds him close in his arms.

"Hi, buddy. Hi! You are ready for a long nap, huh? You got your belly filled up by having two bottles and now you are sleepy! Let's put you in your nice little crib to take your nap." Joe says in a babyfied voice at Elijah as he carefully puts Elijah in his crib.

Elijah gets comfortable and yawns, before quickly falling back asleep.

Joe walks back over to Mika and smiles at her. Mika smiles back and rubs her eyes.

"Here is your coffee, love." Joe says handing it to Mika and Mika smiles.

"Oh, I have missed you coffee!" Mika says as she takes a few sips of her coffee.

Joe chuckles at Mika with her coffee and takes a few sips of his own coffee.

"Are you ready to eat, baby?" Joe asks Mika and Mika happily nods.

"Yes, baby. I am starving!" Mika says, causing Joe to giggle.

Joe hands Mika her sub sandwich before sitting down in the recliner next to Mika's hospital bed.

"Thank you so much, Joe. I love you so much." Mika says as she unwraps her sub sandwich and begins to eat.

"I love you too, baby." Joe says with a cheeky grin at Mika.

Joe and Mika happily eat their late breakfast together and spend the rest of the day with baby Elijah! :)
