*Joe and Mika are busy parents to an eleven month old. We will travel back in time to find out how Elijah came about! But let's enjoy a cute scene of the three of them! Thank you to joebidenloving for helping me write this!*

July 17th, 2021

It is 7:45am at the Brzezinski-Scarborough household! It is a warm Saturday morning in Jupiter Florida but the temperature will quickly be in the 80s before noon.

Right now, Joe is currently keeping his and Mika's eleven month old son Elijah occupied and happy so Mika can sleep in a little bit this morning.

Mika is always the one that gets Elijah up during the mornings and gets his day started. Elijah usually wakes up at around 8:55 or 9:00am, right after Morning Joe finishes taping but today, Elijah decided to wake up at 6am.

But to be fair, Elijah has been teething lately so that could be why he woke up super early today.

Joe, Elijah and the two Maine Coon cats Meatball and Spaghetti are all sitting on the living floor watching an episode of Sesame Street and are playing with blocks and trains.

Elijah happily watches the Sesame Street scene which is called Elmo's World. The episode is about birthdays.

"Look, Eli! Look! You are going to have a birthday party just like that soon!" Joe says as he points at the TV and smiles.

"Ooooo!" Elijah says as he giggles and smiles at Joe.

"There will be a birthday cake and presents and even some balloons." Joe says as he brings Elijah into his lap and brings him in to a big bear hug.

"Dada ake!" Elijah says and smiles brightly up at Joe.

"Yes buddy, you'll get a birthday cake just like Jack did on his birthday! Remember you got a piece?" Joe says to Elijah and Elijah smiles.

Elijah babbles on as they continue to watch the show. When the Cookie Monster appears on the screen, Elijah squeals and Joe laughs at his son's enthusiastic reaction to his favorite character.

"You like the Cookie Monster, don't you bud? You are my own little Cookie Monster.." Joe says and kisses his son on the head.

"Oookie." Elijah says, giving his dad a big wet kiss on the cheek.

Joe begins to sing the C is for Cookie song and Elijah tries to sing along the best an eleven month old can.

Elijah then crawls out of Joe's lap and he begins to pet the cats. Elijah grabs Meatball's tail and playfully pulls it with Joe stopping him right away.

"Aaa aa, no. We don't pull on tails. We don't pull on the cats tails. That hurts." Joe says as he stops Elijah.

Meatball begins to sniff Elijah as Elijah pets his head and so does Joe.

"Good boy, Meatball. You are a good boy." Joe says as he pets Meatball's head.

"At!" Elijah says as he points at Meatball and Spaghetti.

"Yes, Meatball is a cat! And so is Spaghetti! Great job! Spaghetti come here!" Joe says as Spaghetti happily walks over to Joe.

Joe sits Spaghetti in his lap and pets him and so does Elijah.

"Spaghetti just had a birthday!" Joe says as Elijah cheers happily.

"Kate's birthday is next and then it is your birthday! Yay!" Joe says in a babyfied voice and Elijah smiles and giggles.

Elijah continues to pet both cats but then begins to wonder where Mika is.

"Da da! Ma ma?" Elijah says putting his hands up in the air looking for Mika.

"Mama is still in bed. Let's go upstairs and see if she is awake!" Joe says as he picks up Elijah and holds him close.

Joe and Elijah get up off of the floor and they begin to walk upstairs to the master bedroom.

"Mama wakey?" Elijah questions Joe as they get closer to Joe and Mika's bedroom.

"I don't know if Mama is awake, buddy. We will
see when we get there. But we have to be quiet so we don't wake her if she's still asleep." Joe says, holding his index finger up to his mouth.

Joe carefully pushes the master bedroom door open and finds Mika half asleep in their bed. She slowly turns over when she hears the bedroom door creak open.

"Aww, there are my boys." Mika says in a sleepy voice as she opens her eyes slowly and smiles at Joe and Elijah.

"Mama! Mama!" Elijah says excitedly and raises his arms towards her.

"Good morning, my love." Joe says and kisses Mika softly on the lips.

"Good morning, handsome." Mika says, winking at him causing Joe to smile.

"That robe and a baby on your arm really fits you, honey." Mika says as she winks at her husband again.

"You don't look that bad yourself, baby" Joe says, returning a wink.

"Mama pway." Elijah squeals, still sitting on Joe's arm.

"Yes baby, we can play. But first come lay here so I can get some cuddles." Mika says to her son as she sits up in bed to take Elijah from Joe.

Mika holds Elijah close and kisses his cheeks many times, causing Elijah to giggle and smile. Mika and Elijah then lay down in bed and cuddle some with Elijah still on Mika.

"My baby boy. Mama love you so so much." Mika says to Elijah as Elijah gives her some wet kisses.

Joe smiles as he lays down next to Mika, tired from being up early with a toddler.

"Someone is tired, huh?" Mika says as she plays with Joe's hair, something she absolutely loves to do.

"A little bit. I'm old." Joe says to Mika and Mika giggles loudly.

"You aren't old. We are just parents to a toddler, that's all." Mika says to Joe, continuing to play with his hair.

"Ma ma! Ma ma!" Elijah says and Mika smiles at him.

"Yes, baby boy?" Mika says as she plays with Elijah's copper reddish brown hair and looks into his blue eyes.

"Ake!" Elijah says and Mika looks at Joe to help her figure out what Elijah just said.

"We watched Sesame Street and Elmo talked about birthdays. I told him that he is going to have a birthday cake on his birthday." Joe says to Mika as he lays his head on Mika's shoulder.

"Your birthday is coming up, baby! Your first birthday! A few more weeks! I can't believe you are already almost one." Mika says as Elijah giggles and smiles.

"Mama, ake?" Elijah questions his mother with a cheeky grin.

"Yes baby, I love cake too. It is very yummy." Mika says, running her fingers over her son's back.

Joe scoots closer to Mika and Elijah and he softly kisses Mika on the head.

"Looks like we've created a little baker, Meek." Joe says and smiles at her and Mika smiles back

"Do you want to help me make your birthday cake when it's your birthday? Will you be my little helper?" Mika asks Elijah with a cheeky grin.

"Ya! Ake! Ake!" Elijah says with big happy eyes at Mika.

"Baking with a toddler, that'll be fun." Joe chuckles at Mika.

"Don't be so negative, Joe. It will be fine. We will take it easy. A box cake isn't that hard." Mika says playfully to Joe and Joe smirks.

"Ya!" Elijah says with some sass, causing both Mika and Joe to both laugh.

"You can have pancakes for breakfast if you like, baby. Daddy will make them for you." Mika says as she scratches Elijah's back.

"Akes akes akes!" Elijah squeals, nearly falling off Mika and over to Joe, causing Mika to laugh.

"Okay, take it easy little man. I'll make pancakes for you and Mama." Joe says patting his son's back and Elijah smiles up at him.

"Let me see your pretty smile, baby boy. Did anymore teeth come in? Hmm?" Mika says as she tries to look inside Elijah's mouth.

"Eeeee! Eeeeee!" Elijah smiles for a few seconds.

"It looks like another one on the top is coming through. I looked in his mouth when he woke up. Maybe that's what woke him up this morning." Joe says to Mika softly.

"Maybe. Please stop growing up so fast, Eli. You are suppose to be Mama's baby." Mika says as she pouts a little.

Elijah stands up on the bed and quickly falls down, with Joe catching him.

"Silly boy. You are rambunctious, huh?" Joe says as he tickles Elijah and he laughs loudly.

Mika cuddles with Joe and they kiss a few times.

"I love you." Mika says rubbing Joe's cheeks softly and smiles at him. 

"I love you too, Meek." Joe says with a sleepy smile.

"Wove." Elijah squeals, pushing himself down in between them both.

"Yes buddy, we love you too." Mika and Joe both say in unison to Elijah.

"Do you want pancakes too, Mika?" Joe says, caressing his wife's blonde hair.

"That would be lovely, honey. Thank you." Mika says, smiling up at her husband.

"Eli, do you want to come with me downstairs and make pancakes or do you want to stay with Mama in bed?" Joe asks Elijah, who's once again cuddled up on Mika's chest.

"Mama." Elijah says and throws his arms around Mika's neck and Mika laughs loudly.

"Yes! Stay with me baby boy and give me some more cuddles." Mika says, kissing her son's head.

"Okay, breakfast in bed it is." Joe says as he kisses Mika a few times and kisses Elijah's cheek before leaving the master bedroom to go downstairs.

Joe makes his way to the kitchen and he begins to make pancakes and breakfast for the cats as well.

As he makes the pancakes, Joe can hear his wife and baby son cuddle and talk to each other in the bedroom upstairs.

"How's it going down there, Daddy?" Mika shouts from the bedroom causing Joe to smirk, loving when Mika called him Daddy.

"I'm nearly done, baby. Breakfast is almost done." Joe shouts back to Mika as he flips the last few pancakes.

"Now come on Daddy! Come with the pancakes!" Mika says as she and Elijah sit up in bed, getting ready to eat breakfast.

Joe fills the cats water bowl and their food bowls causing both cats to meow happily.

"Meatball, don't eat Spaghetti's food now." Joe says as he makes Mika a tea, himself a glass is sweet tea and Elijah a sippy cup of apple juice which is his favorite juice.

Joe then places everything on a breakfast tray and he carefully walks up the steps before walking into the master bedroom.

"DA DA!" Elijah yells loudly as he sees Joe with the pancakes.

"Hi, buddy! Look, I got you some apple juice! Mmm!" Joe says, handing Elijah the green sippy cup.

"Mmm! Mmm!" Elijah says taking a few sips of his juice.

"What do you say to, Daddy?" Mika says to Elijah, making sure he uses his manners.

"Tank!" Elijah says with a cheesy grin.

"You're welcome, buddy! And I made you some tea, Mama. I know you hate how sweet I like my tea." Joe says, handing Mika her drink.

"Thank you, Daddy." Mika says as she kisses Joe before taking a sip of her tea.

"You're welcome." Joe says as he places the breakfast tray on the bed.

Joe sits down on the bed beside Mika and Elijah, reaching for his son's plate to cut up his pancakes into small pieces for him.

"Dada akes!" Elijah says as Joe finishes cutting up his pancakes.

"Yes here's your pancakes, buddy! Enjoy!" Joe says happily to the toddler

"These are so good Daddy. You did a great job." Mika says, reaching over and kissing Joe.

"Thank you, Mama. I'm glad you enjoy them." Joe says, rubbing her cheek.

"Do you like the pancakes, Eli?" Joe asks his son, taking a bite of his pancakes.

"Goooood!" Elijah says and Joe and Mika both chuckle happily at their fantastic little boy.

They finish their breakfast in bed and Joe takes the dishes downstairs as Mika goes to bathe Elijah since his face and hands are covered in syrup.

For the rest of the day, Mika, Joe and Elijah spent it together :)
