*Elijah decides to make an appearance during an episode of Morning Joe!*

September 14th, 2021

Morning Joe has been on for two hours now! Mika, Joe, Willie and a few guests have talked about many topics - Gavin Newsom's recall election, House Democrats wanting to tax the rich, Florida wanting a mask mandate ban and a few other things!

Dr. Fauci is about to come on Morning Joe to talk about the different kinds of Covid variants and how important it is to be vaccinated and even talks about booster shots possibly coming out!

Right now, Mika and Joe are talking about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wanting Florida public and private schools to ban mask mandates despite many people wanting one due to children under the age of eleven not being able to get vaccinated right now.

"I think this is very dangerous that Governor DeSantis to try to ban masks in schools. Elementary and middle school students are not eligible to get vaccinated right now and they need the mask to stay safe!" Mika says to the audience, Joe and Willie.

"I agree and I am so happy that both Kate and Jack are both old enough to be vaccinated and are vaccinated because it is getting scary out here. Wearing a mask isn't that hard folks!" Joe says to the audience, Mika and Willie. 

After Mika and Joe finishing talking, Willie adds what he wants to say before going onto the next news topic.

Willie begins to talk about the next topic as Joe and Mika both carefully listen in.

Meanwhile in his nursery, Elijah is awake and he is already bored. Elijah is usually asleep until the end of Morning Joe, but not today.

*Elijah's pajamas*

Elijah happily plays with his favorite teddy bear that Bamba bought him before he was born for a few minutes before wanting to get out of his crib.

Elijah stands up in his crib and he begins to try to climb out since nobody is coming to get him out of his crib and he wants out!

Elijah puts his first leg over and then his other and he sits on the crib railing for a few seconds before sliding down onto the floor

"Ooo!" Elijah says as he lands on a pillow that was on the floor from play time the day before.

Elijah then stands up and happily walks out of his nursery. Mika and Joe usually leave the door cracked because his door can be loud.

Elijah hears his Mama and Daddy talking and giggling with Willie, or who he calls Wee Wee.

"Are you guys going to get your boosters when they are available?" Willie asks Mika and Joe.

"Oh, definitely! I just hope I don't get sick like I did the last time. I was in bed for a few days! And I might have to persuade Joe to get one!" Mika says as she chuckles.

"I'll get one when I'll eligible. I don't want to cut the line. People with health conditions need to be vaccinated first." Joe says and Mika nods as she hears the studio door open.

"Yes, my mom will be getting her booster soon!  My mom always makes sure to get all of her shots she needs." Mika says as she continues to hear noises.

"That sounds like a good plan!" Willie says and continues to present the new numbers over the vaccine coverage in the whole country.

Mika has a hard time concentrating and crooks her head towards the door to try and see where the noice is coming from. She can't see anything.

"Is there something happening outside?" Mika quietly whisper to Joe through her teeth.

"I don't know, should I go look?" Joe whispers back.

"Yeah, but wait until the break. There is only two minutes left." Mika whispers as she tries to look into the camera.

"Okay, good idea." Joe whispers as Wille stops talking.

"And that concludes this week's update vaccine numbers!" Willie says and hands over to Joe.

"Thank you, Willie. Now onto some happy news. A giraffe at Brooklyn zoo has just gotten a new baby and here is the cute baby video" Joe says, introducing the next clip.

"Seriously, there's something happening outside." Mika says as the rumbling outside the door continues.

While the giraffe clip is playing, Mika gets out of her chair and walks over to the studio door and opens it.

Mika looks down and sees Elijah and his bear sitting on the floor wanting to get inside.

"Ma ma!" Elijah says, smiling up at Mika and doing grabby hands.

"Elijah Zbigniew! How did you get out of your crib? Did you climb out?" Mika says as she picks up Elijah and tries to fix his hair before he goes on TV.

"Ya!" Elijah says as he gives Mika a kiss on the cheek.

"The baby giraffe is very adorable and the zoo has a poll online for everyone to vote on his name!" Willie says as Joe chuckles.

"Looks like we have a special guest that will be joining us." Joe says as he smiles at Mika and Elijah together.

"This little guy decided to climb out of his crib this morning! He usually sleeps through the whole show and then Joe or I get him ready for the day. Do you want to say hi to Uncle Willie?" Mika says as she sits Elijah on her lap.

"Weee weeee!" Elijah says waving at Willie.

"Hi, Elijah! I like your pajamas!" Willie says with a grin.

"What do you say?" Mika says softly to Elijah.

"Tank!" Elijah says as he giggles as he looks at Joe who is sitting next to Mika.

"You can see Daddy on the screen! See? You can see us too!" Mika says as Elijah gets a little confused on how he can see Joe in two places.

"Looks like he needs a big boy bed!" Willie says with a grin at Mika and Elijah.

"No! He just turned thirteen months, he isn't old enough for a bed! His crib mattress is up higher still because he never climbed out before!" Mika says with a giggle.

"Looks like I'll be fixing his crib after the show!" Joe says as he fixes his glasses.

"Mr. Handyman just got himself a new job!" Willie chuckles with a grin.

"That's right. I have to use him for something!" Mika says and playfully hits Joe on the arm.

"Ma ma! Bear!" Elijah says and holds up his bear for Mika to kiss.

"It's a very nice bear, baby." Mika says and gives the bear a small kiss.

Elijah takes his bear back and gives it a kiss too.

"Elijah is very proud of his bear and wants to show it to all of you." Mika says with a giggle.

"You have a very nice bear Elijah. Can I wave to him?" Willie says.

"Wee wee! Bear!" Elijah says as he kids up his bear and wiggles it towards the screen.

"Hi, Bear!" Willie says as he smiles and waves at the bear.

"Elijah, you have to be a good boy! Dr. Fauci is getting ready to come on to talk to us!" Joe says as Elijah looks on the side, instead at the screen to look at Joe.

"Elijah doesn't understand why we have to look at the screen to see Joe. That's so cute." Mika says, kissing the back of Elijah's head.

"Da da! Bear!" Elijah says happily to Joe.

"That is your bear! Who gave you that bear?" Joe asks Elijah.

"Bam ba!" Elijah says as he babbles loudly.

"Yes, Bamba got you that bear! Bamba spoils Elijah. Like spoils him rotten!" Joe says as he and Willie giggle.

"That's what happens when you are the youngest grandchild." Willie says with a smile.

"Now you have to play nice with your bear okay? Mama and Dada are going to talk to Dr. Fauci. We can ask him when he thinks you can get your shot to protect Bamba." Mika says to Elijah.

"Otay Ma Ma." Elijah says and looks up at Mika.

"That's it, good boy." Mika whispers as Joe welcomes Dr. Fauci on the show.

"Good morning Dr. Fauci! I have to begin with a an apology. We might have some background noise due to our little son who decided to crash our home studio five minutes ago." Joe says.

"So I've been told. It's what children do." Dr Fauci chuckles.

"HIIIIIII!" Elijah yells loudly and with a big smile.

"Shhhh." Mika says softly as Joe and Dr. Fauci begin to talk.

"Hello, Elijah! You are a big boy now! Last time I saw you on here you were a baby!" Dr. Fauci says with a grin.

"Yes, he was a few days old. Now he is thirteen months old and is rambunctious." Mika says as Elijah slides off of her lap and walks over to Joe.

Joe picks up Elijah and sits him on his lap.

Mika and Dr. Fauci begin to talk about booster shots, the first set of boosters will be for older Americans, immunocompromised people or anybody that's an essential worker.

"We also hope by the fall, five to eleven year old children can be vaccinated. We don't know about boosters for twelve and seventeen years old just yet." Dr. Fauci explains to Mika, Joe and Willie.

"Looks like you can't get a shot just yet, bud. But he has all of his other shots." Joe says as Elijah yawns, bored from his conversation.

"I'm glad he has his other vaccines. Vaccines are very important. If everyone is vaccinated around him, he should be okay. Also, get your flu shots everyone!" Dr. Fauci says to Mika, Joe and Willie.

"We certainly will, I have mine scheduled in two weeks and so has Mr. Afraid of Needles over there too. My mom's is next week." Mika says and looks at Joe.

"Yeah, I know it's silly but they're big and sharp." Joe says looking at Mika.

"Can I just clarify that they're not that big." Dr. Fauci says with a chuckle.

"Burn!" Willie adds and Mika breaks out in laughter and Elijah giggles too.

"Ma ma?" Elijah asks as he looks at Mika.

"I'm laughing because I think Dada, Dr. Fauci and Uncle Wille are funny." Mika says to Elijah as she dries her tears.

"Ma ma is laughing at me." Joe says as Elijah giggles and hugs Joe.

"Aw!" Mika says with a big smile.

Joe smiles and kisses Elijah's cheek and holds him close.

Mika and Willie finish the segment with Dr. Fauci before moving onto the next one.

During the next segment, Elijah falls asleep in Joe's arms causing Mika to smile.

"Our show must be boring if we have a one year old falling asleep." Willie says playfully.

"He was up half of the night teething, so I'm not surprised he is taking this opportunity to sleep." Mika giggles as Elijah snores in Joe's arms.

"I did have to nearly put myself in his crib to make him sleep last night, so this is much more comfortable." Joe says and strokes Elijah's hair.

"You two made a good job. He might be the cutest one year old I've ever seen. Except for my own kids of course." Willie says and smiles at Elijah.

A Few Hours Later
After Morning Joe ends for the day, Mika, Joe and Elijah all leave the studio room and head downstairs to have some breakfast.

Mika places Elijah down and Elijah begins to happily walk around the living room.

"Ma ma! Da da!" Elijah yells, pointing at Meatball sleeping on the couch, under a blanket.

"I see! Is Meatball under the blankey? Awww! So sweet!" Mika says as she walks over to pet Meatball's head and Elijah copies her.

"Great job being so sweet and soft with Meatball." Mika says as she gives Elijah a kiss and Elijah kisses her back.

"I love you." Mika says softly to Elijah and Elijah smiles at Mika.

"Uh you!" Elijah says trying to say love you back to Mika. Mika loves how Elijah says it and is going to miss it when he figures out how to say I love you.

"Where is Lil Cat?" Mika asks Joe as she plays with Elijah's hair.

"Spaghetti is laying over here under a blanket. Are you two cold? Do we need to cut the air condition down?" Joe says playfully as he pets Spaghetti's head.

"Da da!" Elijah says running over to Joe and Spaghetti and pets Spaghetti's head softly.

"Be soft with Spaghetti. Good boy." Joe says as as he smiles at Mika.

"Come here, bubba! Come here! Do you want to watch a cartoon?" Mika asks Elijah and Elijah smiles.

"Ya!" Elijah says with excitement at Mika.

Mika puts on Sesame Street, which is one of Elijah's favorites TV shows.

"Before you watch your show, can I have a kiss too?" Joe says as he bends down to Elijah's level.

"Ya!" Elijah says as he runs over to Joe and gives him a kiss.

"I love you, bud. And I love Mama." Joe says as he and Elijah both smile at Mika.

"Aw, you are such a sweet boy! And so are you, honey." Mika says in a babyfied as she kisses Joe twice.

"You are very sweet yourself, baby." Joe says softly as he squeezes Mika into a hug and kisses her, causing Mika to giggle and blush.

"Would you like a coffee?" Joe asks Mika and Mika giggles before she nods.

"Yes, please! Thank you, Joe." Mika says with a smirk before she walks into the living room where Elijah is.

"You're welcome! And what would you like for breakfast, Meek?" Joe asks as he walks into the kitchen to make himself and Mika a coffee.

"Whatever you want to make, honey! But you know what Elijah's favorite breakfast food is." Mika says as she sits down on the couch and Elijah runs over to his toy box to play with his toys.

"That boy and his waffles. He is going to become a waffle." Joe says as Elijah giggles loudly.

Joe begins to make waffles for Elijah and egg sandwiches for himself and Mika.

Mika sits on the floor with Elijah and they begin to play with the blocks together.

"Uh oh! It fell down!" Mika says on a babyfied voice causing Elijah to smile.

"Uh oh!" Elijah says as he giggles.

Joe smiles as he hears Mika and Elijah giggling and playing together. Joe is so happy with his life with Mika and he couldn't imagine his life any other way.

For the rest of the day, Joe, Mika and Elijah spend the day together :)
