November 24th, 2021

Right now, Joe and Elijah are both getting all of the wedding anniversary presents Joe bought for Mika ready and set up all nice in the living room while Mika is still asleep upstairs.

"Da da!" Elijah says smiling at all of the presents that Joe got for Mika for their third wedding anniversary.

"Do you think I got enough presents for Mama? Hopefully she isn't mad at me still when she wakes up." Joe says as Elijah hugs his legs and smiles.

"Ya!" Elijah says as he dances around and smiles up at Joe.

Last night, Mika and Joe got into an heated argument about their anniversary. Mika thought Joe forgot about it and didn't even buy her anything which upset her deeply.

Joe didn't want to spoil any of the surprises he had for her planned. Mika and Joe didn't even sleep together last night, Joe slept downstairs on the couch. 

"Ma ma irthday!" Elijah says thinking the presents are for Mika's birthday.

"No, today isn't Mama's birthday! Today is Mama and I's wedding anniversary! We have been married three years today!" Joe says with a smile at Elijah.

"Aww!" Elijah says as he giggles and smiles.

"Do you wanna see some pictures?" Joe asks Elijah and Elijah nods.

Joe grabs the wedding photo album and shows Elijah the pictures.

"Here is a picture of Mama and Bamba! And here is Jack and me! And then this picture is of me and Mama kissing!" Joe says with a smile.

"Awww!" Elijah says as he claps his hands.

"Sissys! Sissys!" Elijah says as he points at his four sisters.

"Yup! There's Kate, Emilie, Emilie and Carlie! And this picture is Joey, Andrew, Jack and William!" Joe says as Elijah giggles.

"Who dat?" Elijah says to Joe, pointing at a picture of Elijah, Joe and Mika.

"This man is a very special man. He was one of Mama and I's great friends! Guess what his name was?" Joe asks Elijah and Elijah giggles.

"His name was Elijah too! That's why we named you Elijah after him! And here is his wife Maya! Remember you met her!" Joe says to Elijah with a grin.

"Ya!" Elijah says as he smiles and claps his hands.

"Elijah went to heaven a year after the wedding. He is an angel now." Joe says as Elijah smiles.

"An gel!" Elijah says, causing Joe to smile.

"Mhm!" Joe says, kissing Elijah's cheek.

"Up up!" Elijah says and points up at the ceiling.

"Yes, he is an angel in heaven." Joe says and pats Elijah's head.

"Mama sweep?" Elijah asks and looks at Joe.

"I hope Mama is still asleep so that we can surprise her. She doesn't know she is getting presents." Joe says and kisses Elijah's cheek.

"Pwe sent now!" Elijah squeals loudly at Joe.

"Yes, we are just going to put the breakfast together and then we will get Mama her presents." Joe says and lifts up Elijah in his arms as he walks over to the counter.

"What do you think Mama wants for breakfast, Elijah?" Joe asks Elijah.

"Egg! To ato!" Elijah says happily to Joe.

"I think Mama will love some eggs! Do you want some eggs too or do you want pancakes?" Joe asks Elijah as he sits him on the counter.

"Pan cakes!" Elijah says, clapping his hands happily.

"Okay! I'll make you some pancakes!" Joe says, causing Elijah to smile.

Joe makes Elijah his pancakes first and Elijah happily eats them while still sitting on the counter, something Mika doesn't let him do.

"Are they yummy?" Joe asks Elijah with a smile.

"Ya! Tank tank!" Elijah says as he smiles at Joe.

"You're welcome! Enjoy! Oh, let me get you some milk." Joe says to Elijah, grabbing a sippy cup and filling it up with milk.

"Tank, Dada!" Elijah says as he sips milk from his sippy cup.

"You're welcome! Enjoy!" Joe says, kissing Elijah's cheek.

"Mama food?" Elijah asks Joe softly as he eats another piece of pancake.

"Yes buddy, I'll make Mama's food now. You sit there and I won't tell Mama." Joe says and kisses Elijah's head again before he cracks two eggs in the pan to scramble.

"Do you think Mama will be surprised when we bring in her presents?" Joe asks Elijah.

"Ya! Appy!" Elijah says and claps his hands.

"I hope so! She was really mad at Daddy last night. I had to sleep on the couch." Joe says, causing Elijah to giggle.

"Uh oh! Bad!" Elijah says as Joe giggles

"I am bad, aren't I?" Joe says as he tickles Elijah and Elijah giggles.

"Meat! Wil Cat!" Elijah says waving at Meatball and Spaghetti who are both begging for his food.

"Don't give the cats anything. They just ate. You two just had breakfast. I fed you more than Mama usually does." Joe says to Elijah and then the two Maine Coons.

"Kitty hungwry?" Elijah asks Joe with a little pout.

"No, Elijah. They are naughty and are trying to get treats that they shouldn't have." Joe explains and Elijah giggles loudly.

Elijah finishes his pancakes while Joe finishes making a special breakfast for Mika.

"Mama pwresents now?" Elijah asks as Joe picks  him up off of the counter.

"Yes! Now we are going to go surprise Mama. Could you carry this present for me?" Joe asks and hands Elijah a small wrapped present.

"Help Dada!" Elijah says proudly as he holds the present with both of his hands. 

"That is so good! You are a big boy helping Dada." Joe says as he picks up the breakfast tray table that holds Mika's breakfast and her other two presents.

"Mama will get three presents since it is three years since we got married." Joe explains to Elijah.

"Ooooo!" Elijah says as he gets excited and smiles up at Joe, proudly holding the small present.

"Okay, let's go! Let's go!" Joe says as Elijah cheers loudly.

Elijah happily walks up the steps one by one with Joe walking behind him, making sure he doesn't fall.

"Let's go see if Mama is awake!" Joe says as Elijah cheers loudly.

"Ya!" Elijah says with a cheeky grin.

Elijah and Joe walk up the steps together and Joe quietly opens the master bedroom door.

Joe and Elijah walk into the master bedroom and they both see Mika laying down in bed.

Elijah climbs up on the master bed and crawls over to Mika.

"Mama." Elijah whispers softly, rubbing Mika's back.

Mika turns over in bed and lifts her head to look at Elijah and Joe.

"Is everything alright, baby?" Mika asks Elijah and holds out her arms to scoop him up in bed.

"Ya! Mama! Pwesents!" Elijah says and holds up his little present to Mika.

"You have a present for me?" Mika asks, surprised that Elijah has a present for her.

"Ya! Ya! Dada pwesents too!" Elijah says and looks back at Joe, who is standing in the doorway.

"Good morning, Meek." Joe says and smiles at Mika.

Mika looks at Joe, stunned to see him standing there with two presents and breakfast in bed for her.

"Did you really think I forgot the second most important day of my life?" Joe asks with a chuckle as he watches Mika's surprised face light up.

"J-Joe! What is all this?" Mika asks as she tries to not tear up.

"This is your anniversary surprise. I wanted to surprise you even though you really hate surprises. I know it's not much." Joe says as he sets the breakfast tray next to Mika in bed.

"Joe, this is plenty! This is more than enough! Why did you do all of this?" Mika asks Joe as he chuckles.

"Because I can. Because I want to. And because I love you." Joe says with a cheeky smile at Mika.

Mika begins to cry as she hugs Joe tightly, causing Elijah to giggle.

"Why are you crying?" Joe asks Mika, wiping away her tears.

"Because! I was such a bitch to you yesterday. I shouldn't have been that mean to you. I sounded like a spoiled brat." Mika says as she continues to cry.

"No baby, you never sounded like a brat and you weren't a bitch. I should have told you I had a surprise for you." Joe reassures Mika with a tight hug.

Mika lays her head in between Joe's neck and shoulder as she continues to sob.

"You deserve so much better than what I gave you yesterday. I should've been more considerate about your feelings." Mika says and gives Joe a kiss on the cheek.

"Meek, I'm saying that I understand why you were upset. But I want you to know that I'd never forget our special day." Joe says and strokes Mika's hair as she calms down.

Mika sits up in bed and Joe sits next to her. Elijah crawls up in Mika's lap and gives her a hug.

"Mama appy now?" Elijah asks Mika worryingly.

"Yes baby, I'm okay and I am happy. I was just a little surprised and sorry about how I acted with Dada last night" Mika tries to explain to Elijah and Elijah gives Mika a big kiss on the cheek.

"Mama pwesents!" Elijah says holding up the present he has been carrying around.

"Yes baby, I'll open my presents now." Mika says and strokes Elijah's hair and Joe smiles.

"Elijah, give Mama your present first." Joe says as Elijah giggles and smiles.

"Ma ma!" Elijah says handing her a small box and Mika smiles ear to ear.

"Aww! Thank you, baby boy." Mika says, giving Elijah a kiss.

"Elijah has a present for you and I have two. So three presents for three years of marriage." Joe says with a smile and Mika blushes.

"Oh stop! You are so sweet." Mika says as she kisses Joe a few times.

"I am so spoiled!" Mika says as she blushes and smiles, causing Elijah to giggle.

"Open, Mama." Elijah says with lots of excitement.

"I will, baby." Mika says and she starts to open her first present.

Mika reveals a small black leather box underneath some wrapping paper.

"What could this be?" Mika asks and looks at Elijah and Elijah giggles.

"Pwesent!" Elijah says and throws his arms in the air.

"Yes, I know baby. I meant what's inside." Mika chuckles at her excited baby boy.

Mika opens the small box and reveals a pair of small diamond earrings.

"Oh Joe, you shouldn't have." Mika says as she closes the box again.

"Of course I should. You deserve more than I could ever give you. You're the best wife and mama ever." Joe says and gives Mika a kiss on the cheek.

"Ma ma! Pwresent!" Elijah says, handing Mika another small box.

"This one is from Elijah. I got his and one of mine mixed up." Joe says as Mika giggles.

"What did you get me, baby?" Mika asks Elijah and Elijah shrugs his arms, causing Mika and Joe to both laugh.

Mika unwraps a small red box with a black ribbon around it.

"More jewelry for Mama!" Mika says as Elijah claps his hands.

Mika then opens the red box and sees a necklace that says Mama with Elijah's birthstone on it, which is a peridot.

"Thank you, baby! I love it so much." Mika says, giving Elijah some kisses.

"Mama happy?" Elijah asks with a smile.

"Yes baby, I'm very happy. Thank you so very much!" Mika says and scoops Elijah up for a hug.

"Yay!" Elijah says as he wraps his arms around Mika's neck.

"You're so sweet baby, getting presents for me." Mika says and rubs Elijah's hair.

"Mama, all pwesents!" Elijah says and looks at Mika.

"Yes, I'll open all my presents." Mika chuckles as Joe hands Mika her last present.

"One more present." Joe says as Mika blushes.

"Charles Joesph, I swear! I only got you one thing and you got me all of this. Thank you." Mika says, kissing Joe a few times.

Mika opens up the last gift and it is gift certificates to get a massage, and her fingernails and toenails done.

"Joe! You are going to make me cry again! Thank you." Mika says as she hugs Joe tightly.

"You are very welcome. Happy anniversary." Joe says kissing Mika and Mika kisses him back.

"Happy anniversary!" Mika says with a cheeky smile.

"Can I sleep in bed with you tonight or do I need to sleep on the couch again?" Joe asks playfully to Mika.

"I might need to think about that one.... If you recreate our wedding night for me tonight then you might get to stay." Mika teases Joe and gives him a kiss on the cheek with a wink.

"I'm sure we'll be able to fix that, just got to put the little man to sleep early." Joe whispers in Mika's ear in a low voice and gives her a kiss on the earlobe.

Mika blushes and turns around to face Joe.

"Don't do that while Elijah is in bed with us. You might get to hard to resist." Mika blushes at Joe and Joe smirks.

"Then you better start to train yourself because I won't stop." Joe teases Mika back.

"Ma ma! Eggs!" Elijah says pointing to the plate.

"Mmm! These eggs look really really good! Did you help, Daddy?" Mika says to Elijah and Elijah smiles.

"Uh huh!" Elijah says, clapping his hands.

Mika begins to eat her eggs, feeding Elijah and Joe a few bite of her eggs.

"These are really good, Joe. Thank you." Mika says with a smile.

"You're welcome. I can't wait to take you out to dinner tonight." Joe says with a cheeky grin.

"What? I thought we couldn't find a restaurant with reservations?" Mika asks Joe in confusion.

"Well, I found one for us. That place we went to in April that we really liked." Joe says, rubbing her face as Mika smiles.

"Charlie and Joe's?" Mika asks Joe and Joe happily nods, causing Mika to giggle and blush.

"Well, who is going to watch Elijah? Unless he is coming with us." Mika says to Joe as she feeds Elijah another bite of her eggs.

"Susan offered to watch him. She'll come over to pick him up and then we will pick up after our date." Joe says to Mika, holding her hands.

"Aww! She didn't have to do that! She is so busy herself!" Mika says to Joe.

"I know, but she told me she is here to help us. I think she really likes to spoil Elijah." Joe says as Mika giggles.

"That sound absolutely wonderful, Joe. I can't tell you how grateful I am." Mika says and gives Joe a kiss.

"I'm so thankful I have you and that you've been mine forever for three years now." Joe says and gives Mika a kiss on the cheek.

When Mika has finishes her breakfast, Joe, Mika and Elijah all cuddle in bed and put on Elijah's favorite cartoon to have a relaxed and calm morning! :)
