Nandu , mukti looked at each other and held hands and walked in .....

The others cleared way for them .....

Senior ( the girl who is on the bench ) : so here presenting you the late comers of the first day of hostel mess ....she said and a guy stood up ....

Guy : as u both are late , think that here a marriage is going on and it's not buffet . So you both have to serve all of us , he said looking at both of them .....

Nandu is just looking at them in shock bcoz she never did any household chores , it's not like she didn't want to but her family never let her do anything......

Mukti just saw like these people are crazy...
But all of a sudden the whole canteen became silent ......

Mukti , nandu turned back to see what everyone are seeing ....

They saw 5 boys and 2 girls standing there .... Many of the girls and boys saluted them and rest all are smiling looking at them.....

One boy from those 5 boys is looking at mukti with stars in his eyes , which other girls thought is for them ......

Nandu : kon hae ye log ? She asked in a silent whisper to mukti ....

Mukti : super seniors ,third year batch . They are very popular in college , you don't know them ?? She asked like a question ....

Nandu : I don't know anyone from here I'm from Bangalore .....she said slowly .....

They both are busy whispering to each other but the 5 boys and girls walked in like they own the place and stood in a line for food holding plates and serving themselves ....on seeing them everyone stopped ragging...this confused nandu mukti .....

Even nandu , mukti took plates and sat on a bench far from everyone...

Mukti : why no one did ragging ??? She asked to nandu but she got an answer from a girl who joined their bench bcoz it's the only empty one ....

" Bcoz they are the members of anti ragging squad " , is what the girl sitting opposite to nandu mukti said .....

Mukti : anti ragging squad?? She asked again....

Senior : yes , anti ragging squad it's started by manik when he is in first year , bcoz that time the seniors are very rude and cruel . He revolted against them and with the help of management he made rules for anti ragging ....he leads the team always ....she said with a bright smile ....

Mukti : you belong to his batch ???

Senior : no I'm his junior and my friend pratibha is the girl friend of arya from manik's batch , so I knew about them, anyways are u girls freshers .....she asked them politely with a smile .....

Mukti : yes , she said with the same smile but nandu is all time silent and is only concentrating on her food ....

Senior : canteen is common for all the engineer students just like this hostel mess , class rooms are in different floors and you guys don't dare to go to seniors rooms , it's risky , though we have anti ragging squad certain limitations are there to have fun . And most important of all do not go to the other side of the campus bcoz it's medical block there ragging happens like hell and specially if engineer students go there it's too hard to come back without crying be aware okay ...she said like it's a biggest mystery ....

Mukti : why shouldn't we go to medical block ? She asked out of curiosity.....

Senior : there are many fights between medical and engineering seniors , faculty never interfere but ragging happens when they come to our block or when we go there , manik and Rahul had many fights regarding ragging only ..

Mukti : but why ???

Senior : no one knew the reason , all we knew is to be be careful.....

Mukti : management has never interfered in there fights ???

Senior : no , they don't bcoz these fights happen mostly in grounds in the form of basket ball , rugby and many games , any fest or function definitely they fight on stage for the best performance......it's like a biggest competition of space ....we don't need outside colleges for competitions bcoz ours are more than enough .....she said in a funny way ...

Mukti : great to know , your good name ??

Senior : Ishika , I'm from Civil yours ? She questioned back ....

Mukti : Mukti , from CSE. She said with a smile ....

Senior : and you ?? She asked nandini ....

Nandu : even I'm from CSE , she said but didn't say her name . The senior didn't get time to ask bcoz she is called by her friend .....

Senior left saying bye .....

"Strange college " , mukti thought loudly but nandu thought the same in her mind but didn't voice it out .....

After dinner nandu mukti are walking back to their hostel they are stopped by a group of people .....

Nandu got very scared and hide behind mukti .....

Boy : freshers remember tomorrow you people should come to the ground and support our basket ball team bcoz it's a very prestigious match for us .....he said like a warning and gave two cards to them......

Mukti just nodded her head not knowing who they are .....

Mukti : nandu are u ok ?? She asked her calmly....

Nandu : yes but who are they ....??? She asked like a whisper ....

Mukti : may be seniors see this , saying she showed the board which made them shocked bcoz it has
"Space medical College " written on it that means they don't know that mukti nandu are engineering students ..... They both ran away to their hostel leaving the boards there itself .....

They finally reached room and sat there panting heavily....

Mukti : thank God bachgayi ......they said ....

Aliya : what Bach gayi ??? Asked the third girl in mukti nandu room ....

Mukti , nandu look at her in confusion....

Aliya : hai , I'm Aliya sexena your batch mate .....she said with a smile and mukti took her hand for a shake .... Even nandu smiled at her and mukti introduced both of them .....

Mukti : I thought you won't talk to us , she said sitting beside nandu who is drying her wet hairs ....

Aliya : actually morning I was tensed bcoz my boy friend is here to join along with me but his family came to drop him , if they get to know we are together they will take him back , so I was just tensed ......she said biting her nails like a kid ....

Mukti : you have a boy friend ?? She asked being cool .....

Aliya : from school days we are together and we always dreamt to have a future together , hope everything goes well ...
She said crossing her fingers ....

Nandu : everything will be well if u hope for it in a positive and i will pray God for both of you , she said cutely making both the girls go aww on her , they both hug her all of a sudden making her smile .....

All three of them sat together the whole night sharing all the things they can , it's like they are getting to know few things to live together for four years ......

Unknowingly slept early in the morning in different positions on the same bed .....

They woke up next day bcoz of the knock on the door but it's like someone is banging the door loudly .....it's like if they don't open it would break ...

Aliya opened the door to be pushed back immediately bcoz a group of girls barged in ......

Girl : you girls are not ready yet , we want you girls within ten minutes in the ground .....bcoz it's the match to decide our strength.....manik should win..... Got it ,, come and cheer for him.....saying she left the room after giving them three tshirts with the name of their college and basket ball team ....it's like they have to wear them and cheer for their team .....

Nandu : Manik , who's this ??? She asked blinking her eyes cutely ....

Mukti : super senior , he is hot, handsome and also the topper of the past three years , no one could beat his record . Not even one came near to his scoring , he is even the best in sports . Girls go Gaga over him , but he never glanced any girl ..... she is continuously saying about manik even in the hostel mess , it's like nandu is just hearing a story of a hero ....

Finally nandu got ready in a white salwar dress with dupatta and leggings , she just held the tshirt given by senior in her hand along with a sling bag on her shoulder .....

Mukti : you won't wear it , she asked looking at nandu bcoz she and Aliya are wearing those t shirts with black jeans ....

Nandu : I don't want to , but if they force me i will wear on top of my dress , she said and started walking out .....they both followed her .....

As they are walking they could hear shouts from the ground ..... they are about to move forward but all of a sudden out of nowhere a ball hit nandu and her dress got stained ....

Nandu : shit , she said loudly ....

Mukti : oh no let's go back to hostel and change , she said loking at the mud stain on nandu dress ....

Nandu : it's okay mukti , i will just clean it with water and come , u guys go ahead ....

Aliya : are u sure u want to go alone ?? , She asked ....

Nandu : seniors Warned us to be on time , u guys inform them my situation I will be there within ten minutes .... If not we might get punished , I don't want you guys punished bcoz of me , she said thinking of the consequences even though she is scared .....

Mukti , Aliya left to the ground and are settled on the chairs from where they could see the match .....

Nandu just walked to the nearest building and found the washroom and started cleaning her stains......

She could hear people talking outside .....

" I am out of match just bcoz of manik he said I took drugs to the referee , Aaj agar manik jeet gayi , i will make sure all the girls of their engineering stream be ragged by us . Bcoz he only introduced anti ragging squad and then it would be a shame he couldn't protect his girls ....this would be fun " , he said while laughing loudly like a villian ....

That's when nandu noticed she is in the washroom of the medical block by opening the door a little to peep out , seniors of medicine are outside planning for ragging engineering students ....

She is panicking bcoz she couldn't be caught by them , she needs to find a way out .....

She didn't even knew any number to call them for help ..... After a few minutes she heard no noises so slowly opened the door and started moving out, unknowingly a guy came from the stairs , on seeing him nandu started running bcoz he is the same guy who is planning to tease girls she is scared of him....

He saw the tshirt in her hand and started chasing her ....bcoz it's the enginner college tshirt .....

Boy : hey you engineer college ki Kamini, stop ....saying he is running behind her ....

But nandu ran too fast .....

Hey youuuuuuu??? Stop running ..... shouting this guy starts to run behind nandu .....

Nandu covers her face with her scarf and runs in hurry to escape and sees many people here and there watching a match of basketball .....

She rushes to them and joins the girls and threw away her scarf or dupatta in a random direction and immediately wore a black hoodie or tshirt given by senior covering her dress and face , she just grabbed a board of support from the girl beside her and started cheering unknown to the fact that the scarf she threw created a mess........

The scarf falls on a face of the guy who is about to goal the ball in the basket ....he looses the goal ....

The clumsy little girl , eyes widen in shock .....she is our nandu ....

He just stared the scarf being angry bcoz he lost the college tournament Practice match of basketball , he is the Sports captain of the college team .....

He just groaned in frustration .....bcoz it's manik who lost the match .....

Nandu just hide her face in her palms , bcoz she knew she messed up badly , not once but twice ....

The guy who just followed her and the one who lost the match ....
