Author's Note: The things that people do for the sake of a story. I hurt my hand a bit while doing this. I hope it's worth it. 

 Anyways, there's something special that I decided to do with this part of Simulation AU. There's only one more part to the Octagon Duo's part of Simulation AU.

 Ren's POV:

 Friends went... Friends went missing?

 Moon... 

 Why.... moon... so big? 

 Then, something killed me. It was some kind of... robot? Or.. Or was it Doc? 

 I don't remember. I don't want to remember.

 I breathed heavily as both of my hands twitched. I... I have both of my hands?

 Why don't I have my prosthetics anymore? Bu-

 " -ACK!" I gasped in pain as I tried to move.

 Struggling, I opened my eyes to static: Fuzzy, vibrating, black and white static. A warm sensation began to prick at my brain as I let out a shaky breath.

 The static soon tried to go away as strange images of the octagon began to take form. Quickly, I forced my eyes shut again

 As the images formed, I flinched and gasped.

 It's... It's okay... The pain... I need to fight through the pain. 

 My hands were shaking as I slowly raised my arms to my face. I breathed through clenched teeth as I curled my clawed fingers around something that felt like straps and forcibly raised my arms until-

 SNAP!

 The straps broke and caused what I assumed was a pair of glasses or goggles to fall of my face an-

 CRACK!

 Break upon contact with the floor.

 I slowly reopened my eyes as my ears lowered. The pain continued to wrap around me like ropes, but thankfully, the terrible staticky feeling was gone.

 I looked around at my surroundings.

 The room I woke up in was covered in blackstone and oxidized copper. From what I could make out, it seemed to be almost an exact replica of the room that Doc and I used back in the Octagon when neither of us wanted to make the journey back to Renbob's van. 

 But, there was one difference:

 The age of it.

 The old, cracking walls allowed light to filter into the room. The barrels and chests were broken and their contents, being rotten food and some tree logs, spilled out. 

 My nose twitched as I slowly crossed my arms across my chest and shuddered. 

 Everything ached horribly. 

 Despite the pain,  my ears perked up to some strained, familiar breaths.

 " D-Doc?" I whispered as my eyes widened. Quickly, I looked around the room until I spotted the familiar green arm of my creeper-goat friend.

 " D-Doc!" I gasped.

 Doc's body didn't even twitch to me saying his name.

 Quickly, while ignoring the pain radiating throughout my whole body, I hurried to Doc's side and nearly collapsed on top of him. My ears lowered as I gently pressed my fingers against the pulse point in Doc's scaly neck.

 A wave of relief washed over me as I draped my arm over Doc and let out a sigh of relief. 

 Doc's okay. 

 " What happened to us, Doc?" I whispered aloud even though I knew I wouldn't get an answer, " What happened to the others?" 

 My ears lowered as I rubbed my head against Doc's chest. A quiet, low trill came from Doc's throat as he slowly tried to move. Quickly, I sat up as my tail began to wag uncontrollably. 

 " D-Doc?" I questioned as Doc let out a low groan before rolling onto his side. I frowned. Doc still wasn't waking up though. 

 On top of this, now that Doc has turned over, I could now see that his face plate and arm was missing. 

 I put my hand against Doc's shoulder and began to rub it. My ears lowered as I turned my head in order to cough; my throat was incredibly scratchy and dry. 

 Clink!

 My ears perked up to the sound of a strange noise.

 Clink!Kerchunk!

 The sounds were coming from behind me.

 Slowly, I turned myself around and stared at the doorway that had its door broken but still blocking the entrance.

 My ears twitched again as I watched some sort of shadow move across the boarded window causing the light rays filtering in to briefly be disturbed.

 I scooted even closer to Doc as my heart began to thump against my chest. 

 THUNK!

 Metal hitting the wooden door caused my ears to go back as my heart leapt into my throat. The fur on my tail stood up as-

 THUNK!

 The axe, no claw, I could see it now, slashed into the wood and cut a clear hole into it. I put my hand against Doc's shoulder and squeezed it.

 Come on Doc.... Wake up....

 My ears remained lowered as one of the door pieces was ripped clear off of the wall causing part of the blackstone to break away. 

 I raised my other, shaking hand over my eyes in order to attempt to see through the harsh light. Still, the silhouette remained blackened against the harsh daylight. 

 " W-Who are you?" I questioned; my voice barely going above a whisper. I stifled a cough as my ears pinned back against my head. 

 POP!

 THUNK!

 The second part of the door was ripped ripped away from the doorframe. A otherworldly noise came from the being as a purple haze began to cloud my vision. I let out a pained growl as my head began to feel fuzzy.

 Slowly, I forced myself to my feet as the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I clenched and unclenched both of my hands as I stared at the entity. 

 I flinched and breathed heavily as the purple haze continued to form.

 Then, the being's body continued to change as eyes of all shapes and sizes began to open up and glow; Each eye shared the same, strange symbol.

 I watched as the being's body contorted as it grew in height but decreased in width. It's eyes glowed brighter as it entered the room.

 As the being continued to closer, I could feel my consciousness slipping.

 " S-Stop..." I forced out as it felt like I was being choked. My eye twitched as I stared at the being. Even if it hurts, I need to try... I need to try and be louder.

 The creature tilted his head as large wings slowly opened up from its shoulder blades: More and more eyes began to open up along the fronts of its wings.

  I growled.

  I needed to do something. I can't let it hurt Doc...

 " G-Get back." I growled as I forced myself to speak louder. The being didn't listen though.

 " I SAID GET BACK!" I barked causing the being to stop mid-step.

 I lowered my hands as the light dimmed slightly and I took in a deep breath. Then, I took a step forward causing the being's eyes to widen as it took a small step back.

 " You. will. not. harm. him." I snarled. 

 The purple haze was slowly leaving my vision with each step I took towards the being. At the same time, the being's towering form began to shrink down.

 My legs were shaking as I swallowed some spit. I can't falter now; Not when Doc's life and my life are being threatened by this thing.

" 20-8-5 8-15-21-14-4 8-1-19 2-18-15-11-5-14 15-21-20 15-6 20-8-5 19-9-13-21-12-1-20-9-15-14 16-18-5-13-1-20-21-18-5-12-25... 23-5 13-21-19-20 6-12-5-5 6-15-18 14-15-23 1-15-23 3-8-5-3-11=9-14 15-14 20-8-5 1-24-15-12-15-20-12-19."

 I froze as a violent sound stabbed its way through my skull and directly into my brain. The garbled nonsense vibrated my skull as I felt a warm liquid begin to drip out of my nose. 

 I let out a shaky breath as I continued to growl. My tail was still thrashing as I stared at the entity as static continued to enter my brain and scratched at my skull.

"23-8-1-20 1-2-15-21-20 20-8-5 6-1-12-12-9-14-7 15-14-5-19? 23-8-5-14 23-9-12-12 20-8-5-25 1-18-18-9-22-5?"

 A new sound, even more brain piercing caused my limbs to begin to shake. Fighting against the will to fall, I let out a growl.

" 23-5 23-15-18-18-25 1-2-15-21-20 20-8-5-13 23-8-5-14 20-8-5-9-18 20-9-13-5 1-18-18-9-22-5-19... 3-15-13-5. 23-5 12-5-1-22-5."

" S-Stop it..." I pleaded as I raised my hands to my ears as the warm liquid continued to drip out of my blackened nose

" 9 19-21-16-16-15-19-5 20-8-1-20 23-5 19-8-15-21-12-4 12-5-1-22-5. 20-8-5 8-15-21-14-4 3-1-14'20 3-15-13-16-18-5-8-5-14-4 21-19 1-6-20-5-18 1-12-12... 2-21-20, 16-5-18-8-1-16-19 15-20-8-5-18-19 3-1-14?"

"9-20 4-15-5-19-14'20 13-1-20-20-5-18 9-6 20-8-5-25 3-1-14. 3-15-13-5. 14-15-23."

 Before I could even try and speak again, the entity seemed to vanish before my eyes. I let out a shaky, pained breath as I dropped to my hands and knees causing a horrible stabbing sensation to pierce my entire body as if I was a pin cushion.

 Eventually, I collapsed onto my stomach and forced myself into a ball.

 " R-Ren?" Doc's tired, calm voice wormed its way through the pain.

 But, it didn't stop the pain, and all I could do was lay there. Gently, a clawed hand touched my head and gently rubbed against my face. Doc slowly moved my head in order for me to look into his eye. 

 Weakly, my tail wagged as I gave him a soft smile.

 " W-We're safe now... T-Thank you, my friend..." I whispered as Doc reached into his pocket and took out a rag. The hybrid gently sat me up and gently pinched part of my nose while softly holding the rag against the bottom of it.

 I leaned against Doc's chest and listened to the steady beats of his heart. My ears twitched as I yawned.

 For now, we're safe.

 I yawned again as my tail curled around me.

 The exhaustion of the past couple of minutes, or hours, finally caught up to me. No longer resisting the exhaustion, I began to close my eyes.

 Doc began to mumble to himself, " I'll keep you safe, Ren..." he whispered into my ear, " I'll find a better place for us to be." 

 I nodded softly at Doc as I drifted off to sleep.
