Price's POV:
What did the hermits call the lights?
Redstone lamps?
Redstone lamps flickered on and off as my vision slowly started to clear up. Big blue and purple spots kept appearing and disappearing every time I opened or closed my eyes.....
No.
My eye?
I slowly raised my hand to my face and felt the warm liquid that covered the almost the entire left side of my face. Slowly, I pulled my hand away from my face and stared at the string of clotting blood that had previously stuck to my face.
Slowly and tiredly, I tried to stand up, but my head started to spin causing me to fall back onto my stomach. I breathed heavily as my tail twitched, " Oooooh...." I let out a strained groan as I rubbed at my eye again.
squish
squish
I gagged and swallowed while closing my eye. The other eye, no, it was an eye socket, was bleeding as I looked over towards a bucket of water, a rag, and some sort of long bandana. Maybe a bandage? I don't know.... My head hurts.
I want to go to sleep, but, but I need to clean this mess up...
My tail twitched as my bones cracked and popped. How long was I laying in this prison? In the dark, gloomy, claustrophobic... prison...
Like the prison from when Fake Rik captured...me...
I stopped crawling towards the bucket and shuddered. No, no Price don't be thinking about that. Fake, no, alternate timeline Rik was a good guy that helped us escape the Alabastors... He... was good despite being a bit unorthodox in his methods.
I shook my head and flinched. Okay, that was a terrible idea. My tail wiggled as I went back to crawling towards the bucket. Once I got to the clean water, I looked inside and stared into my still blurry reflection.
Clotted blood dripped off my face and slowly sunk to the bottom of the bucket. I gagged again as my tail wiggled.
My tail wiggled against as I picked up the rag and tipped it into the water. Gently, I rubbed the lukewarm cloth against my face until a oozing glob of blood came off of my face and plopped into the bucket with a decently-sized splash.
I gagged again and turned away from the now bloody bucket and shuddered. My whole body was shaking as reached up to my eye and felt the very terribly done stitches. Well, I think they're terribly done from what I can feel with my normal hand. With a tired, heavy sigh, I rubbed my wet hands against the stone ground in order to try and get rid of the blood and water.
After that, I brushed the rest of the water against the prisoner garb that I was forced into while being unconscious. I wonder what happened to my normal clothing. My tail twitched as a shiver went down my spine.
No, nevermind, I don't want to know what happened. There could be some really weird reasons to take a person's clothes, and I don't even know how kidnapped me and brought me here.
A drained yawn escaped from me as I grabbed at the bandana that I was left with and carefully wrapped it around my gouged out and sewn up eye. My tail twitched as I stuck my tongue out and looked around the cell.
A low cranking noise was coming from the wall. Slowly, I wandered over to the wall on all fours as a pair of holes opened up in the wall. I tilted my head as two beds, one green and one red, came out of the wall and the two holes, hatches, closed afterwards.
Why two beds? What's with the specific colors?
I assume that the green one's mine, but the red one?
The amount of people that are associated with the color red is far greater than the amount of fingers I have on both hands; which is seven due to my hoof hand.
I climbed onto the green bed and patted it. The good news was that this bed was pretty comfortable.
Before I could actually appreciate the bedding, a horribly loud scream came from outside the bars to my cell. I perked up and carefully hugged the wall as my legs shook.
That scream.
Whoever kidnapped me also kidnapped Ash.
Once I got to the edge of the prison cell, I looked out into the dark hallway and narrowed my eyes when I spotted a door at the farthest end. Flashing red and yellow lights came from the room as my tail twitched.
I shuddered but continued to look at the lights until they started to slow down in their strobing. My tail twitched as I frowned and slowly moved down the wall until I was sitting down in a decently comfortable position.
Red flash
Yellow flash
Red flash
Yellow flash
Re-
The strobing colors of light stopped as the door slowly cranked open. I sat up slightly as a hooded figure slowly walked down the hall. No, I wouldn't say walked; it seemed more like a glide.
My tail started to twitch wildly as the figure's sleeve-covered hand began to glow red as a body was slowly dragged out of the room. Once the two left, the door creaked shut and the yellow glow returned to flashing; this time, however, the yellow glow was the only light to be flashing.
I narrowed my eyes as the figure and body stopped in front of my cage. I wanted to speak, to figure out why this was happening, but my body refused to let me move or speak. There was some kind of aura or whatever around this thing...
The hooded person opened part of the bars to the cage and dropped the new, winged person inside. I raised my eyebrow and scurried over to the person.
I gagged at the smell of iron that came from my cellmate and quickly, but carefully, turned their body over.
" Grian..." I whispered with a small shake of my head. My shoulders drooped as I looked over Grian's body and stared at what these cloaked villains did to him.
Grian's right hand was gone.
My whole body shuddered as I looked up at the figure as the bars to the cage closed. I narrowed my eyes as something flared up within me.
" Hey!" I called out as the fur on my legs bristled.
The cloaked person turned around as I tensed up slightly. Still, I continued speaking, " At least give Grian a bandana, a clean cloth, and a new bucket of water! Look at him!" I motioned to his bleeding stump of a hand, " I don't know if you even stitched up the wound you gave him, but you at least need to let me wrap it up!" I told them with my fist clenching up.
After I stopped speaking, the figure raised its hand and used its red glowing magic in order to give me the items that I requested. I nodded my head at the figure as they glided down the hallway and reentered the strobing room.
A room that probably has a lot of torture involved.
I twitched and shook my head. I... I need to focus on Grian. My tail was thrashing as I awkwardly stood up and hurried over to the new supplies that I was given. I gathered the supplies and hurried back over to Grian's body; the hermit twitched slightly and began to curl up.
My tail wiggled and forced the hermit to stretch out in order to get to his right hand. Quickly, I dipped the cloth into the water and washed Grian's hand nub until it was pale but clean. The good news was that they managed to stitch the wound correctly. I wrapped the nub up in the bandana and sighed.
Grian let out a tired noise as his wings fluffed up, " M-Mumboooooo...." he whispered as he twitched and groaned in pain after. I frowned and rubbed my hand against his head.
How did any of us end up here? Why did I hear Ash's screaming, but Grian was the one that left the torture chamber.
I lowered my head until I heard some soft squeaking escaping from Grian until one of his eyes slowly opened. My tail twitched as Grian slowly forced himself up. I held my hands out to him, " You just got your hand cut off man! Don't try to force yourself to get up." I frowned as Grian twitched.
I tried to get Grian to lay down, but Grian fought against my hands until he laid his head against my chest. The hermit's wings slowly wrapped around me as he let out a soft cooing noise until he was fast asleep.
My tail twitched as I shook my head and held him as the lights slowly began to turn off in our prison cell.
